My experiences with Barnett Appliance on Covert Ave have been nothing but over the top positive. I have purchased 4 refrigerators from them over the past 15 years. All of the refrigerators were used,of course. All were $2000.00 retail when new. They were no doubt,trade-ins,but still worked just fine,including the ice makers.No one knows how much life/time remains in a used item. Even when new,the manufacturer isnt sure of his product,hence the warranty to cover their.eh,bottom. All that said,every single old refrigerator is still doing wast is supposed to do,keeping stuff cold I have spent $800 on roughly $10,000 worth of refrigerators Why do I have 3? Easy. one in the kitchen,looks very very nice, 2 in the garage for beer box and frozen foods. One garage unit died years ago from old age(compressor wore out). Bottom line,would I buy from Bartlett again? Heck yes!! Saved me tons of money!!

A bunch of con artists that only half a** fix things to run just long enough for the warranty to run out. The fridge we purchased literally caught fire because of the rigged job of wire splicing they did underneath. Called quite a few times to have it resolved only to be told it wasnt their issue now being that it was outside of the warranty by DAYS might I add. Save yourself the trouble and possibly a house fire. Take a your money elsewhere and get quality over price. Sad excuse of a business. Ill make sure everyone I speak to knows to avoid this place at all cost.

Alot of people think this place is not useful for getting quality furniture. I purchased a sofa,loveseat and chair.I couldnt have gotten a better deal nowhere else! Thanks Mike for your great service! Awesome.

I bought a washer dryer set less than 2 months ago. I could understand if it was 6 months or longer but 2 months. I know what is wrong with it. I got told so many excuses. Offered no solutions or alternative. They dont care if they look bad. I got told to get it serviced somewhere else. Bad customer service. They blamed everything on Covid, LOL. I bought the set during covid. No different than a shady used car salesman.

Help neighbor pick up his new mattress and box spring set

Bought a washer and dryer. Washer works fine but the dryer not so great. The timer doesn’t work so clothes never go through a cool down so you have to get them out hot. Also takes 3 times as long to dry. Took 3 hours to dry what should’ve taken an hour.

I moved from a large home to a mall apartment. I needed a washer and dryer for my new place. They gave me a great deal on the set and helped my husband load them into the truck. 9 months later and still going strong! Thank you Steve and Marvin for helping me out. Great got a very nice stove, going back for end table/coffee table set.

Paid for a front loaders set. With in a week it is letting water in the tub while its off. It needs to be repaired just had it a month. Or replaced the guy John sold it to us. They refuse to do anything about it. Thats so wrong. When you spend $600 on a set. The guy we spoked to was very rude and disrespectful. He just hung up on us. My husband is so mad. It lets water all over the floor. They wont fix it or replace it. I called a lawyer. He said he has several reports on them. Their washers and dryers, freezers, refrigerator are all junk

I purchased a huge refrigerator from them 5yrs ago. I mean it was huge. The ice maker worked and water department. I felt like I got it brand new because there wasnt a scratch on it for only $200. I just gave it away when I moved out of Evansville. That refrigerator worked smoothly. I miss it so much. The tiny little fridge that I have now is highly disappointing. I have a family of 6 now with a fridge thats barely big enough for 2 quarts of milk and a medium pot of left overs. I am truly regretting giving my refrigerator away.

The employees there were very police, helpful, and nice. On the bad side, I think the furniture was really overpriced. I could find complete sets elsewhere for a $1000 cheaper.

Bought a washer and was told it worked when they delivered it, it would not work. They took it back and brought it the next day but still did not work. Had someone come look at it and it worked once. It countinues to stop in a middle of a cycle and hard to get back started. Called to see if they could fix it an was told they do not do repairs anymore.

Very nice place to get used appliances. But one of the sales girls that works in there is really flirty & pushy, only to make a sale. She made my fiance & oldest son very uncomfortable. Other than that its a good, reasonably priced store.

The employees were helpful, and were nice enough to offer us free delivery to our house. However, the washer, dryer, and fridge we purchased had all went out of commission after two months of regular use. The fridge was very inconsistent with its temperatures and would freeze everything in the fridge, and thaw everything in the freezer. The washer busted halfway through a wash, leaving a huge tub of water and wet clothes. The dryer cord had a faulty heating element, and the cord had exposed wiring on the inside that ended up sending sparks flying, blowing the circuits in the entire house. I understand that these are used appliances, but a 3 out of 3 with major flaws is honestly unacceptable.

If I could give negative stars theyd get -5. Landlord purchased fridge over the phone. Fridge had roaches that crawled out once plugged in, had a dead MOUSE in the drip tray. I never did business here, and for a good reason.

Scam artists and horrible service!!! I have done some research after having issues with my refrigerator and mattress I bought.Immediately had bugs coming out of the fridge. Never had bugs before! Was told by the guy that it happens. Then it went out and they said it was 2 days after the 30 day warranty even though I didn’t get it until a week after I bought it. According to the bald guy, it is only by the sale date!Then the mattress started to sink in after 2 months. I called and was told it was a cheap mattress so what did I expect. Found out from the info I could get off the one tag on my mattress it is used! According to the info I got, the mattress should have had a yellow tag on it showing it had been cleaned but was not new. There is a small piece of yellow where someone ripped that tag off before I got it.Since then, my sister has gone in and videoed her talk with the sales guy about if the mattresses were new AND HE SAID YES. She also got a video showing the mattresses they have with holes in the plastic and the yellow tags have been removed. Some of the still had little yellow pieces from the tag they ripped off and the same holes in each bag. Got several of the workers in the pic as well including out bald sales guy, big guy behind the desk, and a couple of guys hauling out a refrigerator.I have spoken to the Consumer Complaints Department with the Indiana Attorney General’s Office. They said it is illegal to remove the yellow tags, state false claims of products and not stand behind their warranties.After all the horrible service, I am sending the pics, video and receipts to them to file a complaint and would suggest anyone who has purchased an item from them look into it as well! According to what I was told, they could be forced to refund anyone’s money with a valid complaint and have to pay hefty fines!Don’t be fooled by their BBB A+ rating, their 2.1 star rating on Facebook says it all!!! They only paid for their BBB accreditation in 2018!

Within a few days my dryer would periodically turn itself off midcycle. I called to get a service guy to come look at it. After multiple calls to them, in which they said obvious things that could be wrong like dryer door getting bumped open They said theyd get a hold of a service guy and call me back. I never heard from them again and in less than a year of very little use, it stopped getting hot and wouldnt dry anything. I will never shop there again

They are liars and obviously dont know there own policies. Got a dryer that was messing up and took it back within the 30 days and they wouldnt give the money back. They need to put on contract as is. Then they wouldnt even help load another one
