At first I was a bit uneasy at the cost to have a company pack and move all my belongings. Not to mention the hesitation of having strangers involved in my personal belongings. I can say now that it was worth every penny. The team packed my three bedroom home and garage in 6 hours. It only took them another 6 hours to load my belongings drive it across town and unload. It would have taken me days even with a half dozen friends. Those guys hustled and found ways to lower my bill. I can’t thank them enough.

The entire process was professional from the original estimate to the final box unloaded. I was very impressed by the workers and Joe, the crew boss. I highly recommend Bennett Moving.

I’ve used this company 3x before. This was my worst experience.They told me i was booked for a morning move starting 8-9 am, and when I called the day before to confirm, they told me start take was 11-1 pm.This messed up my entire day. I expected to be Done by 1-2 pm, yet at the last minute was told of the later start time. This was terribly inconvenient bc of my work obligations That I had to alter last minute.To make matters worse, they didn’t get to my residence until 1:45 pm. Much much later than I was originally told.AND I ENDED UP GETTING CHARGED EXTRA BC THEY WENT OVER BY 30 minutes. the reason it took longer is bc they kept taking smoke breaks. That’s not fair that I’m being charged an extra $100 bc of their smoke breaks.The movers themselves were great. The people in power at the company are cheap & manipulative

I was extremely pleased in working with Tom on the local level. He communicated clearly and openly on every occasion we talked.Tom worked with my United driver, Mike, to be able to stay in my area an extra day when my closing on the township took three very very days. This super helpful action by Mike and Tom saved me over $3000 in what I could have paid to have my things stalled in Charlotte. JH Bennett moved my mom from the Washington, DC area to Erie, PA. They did a great job in every sense. All covid safety measures were taken. Everything was packed, loaded, and unloaded carefully and nothing was missing, broken or damaged. The move occurred exactly as scheduled. The price was exactly as quoted - no upward adjustments as I heard can be common in the industry. The two gentlemen doing everything (Joe and Jose) were so polite and a pleasure to work with! I can not recommend this company and Joe and Jose enough. We will definitely use them again!

Theyre moving truck was parked sideways in front of our building. Although we were not the ones moving, they blocked for parking spaces which included our only two handicapped-accessible spots for our building. Those handicapped-accessible spots are used constantly for those who are disabled who live in our building, one of which is an elderly couple. I find it unprofessional and rude to park from 8 a.m. until almost 4:30 p.m. into handicap spots at that! There is room on the side of the building and other spots around the parking lot. Furthermore we do not see Furniture going in and out at all today so who knows what they were doing...

Moving long distance is a very stressful time. Charlie and Victor made my household move from Fredericksburg, VA to Buffalo, NY much less stressful than I anticipated. They worked hard to care for my goods and were quick and efficient. They work well together to get the job done. They were on time at each end and eager to work.

They showed up on time with two trucks and a crew of gentleman to help move our office. They were very careful with all of our items taking the time to add extra padding or cardboard to items to protect them. They took apart several desks so they would survive the move and then put them back together at our new office. The crew was very polite and hard working. I would recommend this company and I feel as though they did a wonderful job.

Moving can be a very nerve-racking project. But the hardworking team at JH Bennett Moving made it painless and worry-free. From the moment I met the sales rep Tom, he was on-time, organized, understood my concerns and created me an estimate. We scheduled the date, and the two teams Steve, Marcus, Vic, Angel and Matt, Clem, Jimmy and Marcus showed up on-time, established a game plan, careful with all the furniture, and delivered it to the appropriate areas of the destination. These guys were super hard workers and deserve a shout out! I highly recommend their service as it was worth every penny to have a great group of people do all the heavy lifting.

They said they’d move us and then took days for a quote and then backed out 2 weeks before the move. Tri State moving company helped us out so go to them!

I just want to compliment your guys (Joe, Jose and Angel) they were AWESOME. I have never had someone in my house that, while working, had such great attitudes. They were polite and did EVERYTHING we asked. We were HIGHLY IMPRESSED with them.

We had the contents of our house in Erie PA moved to our house in Hoschton GA. The movers told us that our house was one of the best prepared that they had ever seen.But, the overall experience was very bad. We found out that a fixed rate contract is not fixed. We were accused of changing the amount of things to be moved - and that was absolutely not true. The only changes we made was to remove some items and move them ourselves.We were forced to pay an additional $800 for the move. This happened the night before the loading. And at that point, we had no choice. and despite paying an additional $800, I had to move 3 truckloads myself.(1) we were forced to pay $800 over the fixed rate deal.(2) I had to move 3 truckloads myself. Im too old to do that and thats why I hired professionals.(3) Too many things were damaged.

I would highly recommend JH Bennett to anyone who needs to move. Not only did their staff show up promptly, but they were as friendly as they were efficient. They were also very careful moving about in the house to avoid causing any damage . This marks our 7th move, and the team at JH Bennett has made it the best ever for us.

Moved from Pennsylvania to Florida, after getting everything we received unpacked we realized we where missing several things. All my fathers jewelry, personal letter from him to my mother while he was in the Marine Corp, my mother’s purses, personal items of my late grandmother’s that my mother had, at least four boxes of records ( approximately 100-150) my collection of dvd‘s (approximately 200) My mother’s crafting items for knitting and crocheting along with crafting books. And still not sure if there’s anything else.

This was my first time using a moving company and everyone from the office staff to the movers were GREAT! Jose and David were professional and very mindful about moving items safely, paying extra attention to keeping areas clean, and even offered to move furniture around once it was all inside. Im very grateful for their help, especially during a time with so many extra precautions needed. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful situation very easy!

Excellent experience with moving. This was a long distance move for my husband and I. We were assisted the entire way! From the day we were introduced, the explanation was clear, the assistance from the entire team was top-notch, our belongings were handled with care and were delivered on time and very carefully. Definitely would use their service again! (if I needed to move)

DO NOT USE THEM!They lost a very valuable rug of mine. It belonged to my grandmotherand was a very loved reminder of her. I moved from Arizona to PA. and therug was lost somewhere. They would not help me file a claim or answerphone calls. I wrote the main company and the AZ company and gotno help. I have pics of the rug and I also hired a lawyer. He got no help either. THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU!

One of the movers they all were smoking 🚬 and so I told them to use an ashtray and one of them threatened me.🤬 never will use this or call this company for moving again.and they were moving across the street.i live at west wind apartments erie pa. Its like if your gonna smoke grab an ashtray were already dealing with covid the last thing we want is your cigarette on the ground . Who do you think is gonna pick it up?? Very unprofessional

The people are honest and timely. Movers were respectful!However, several of my belongings were lost in my move, and while they sent me a check to cover the value, I am constantly finding new things that I realize are missing.

We used this company when when we moved three years ago, they were wonderful, everybody was so friendly and helpful! I even wrote such a great review that they used it on their website. But, we used them again last month and I can not say enough bad things. Tom, who was arrogant, came to do the estimate and didnt get back to me until over a week later when I finally called. I was set up with Jackie, who my moving coordinator, she was nice and Im sure its not her fault, but everything I asked about was always met with a no. Everything is their way or the highway, including the times of pick up and delivery. Forget that youre paying over $4000, you wait on them and do as your told. I know they have their own schedules and things to do, but let me give an example. On delivery day, they told us we had to move our closing up from 11 to as early as possible, we moved it to 10 as that was the only time everyone was available. So they asked if they could get into the house earlier. We had our realtor go to the house before the closing (we werent available til 9:30), so he went to meet the movers at 9:00. Well they never showed, we got to the house for our final walk-through and they still werent there. We go to our closing and come back and STILL not there!! They finally showed up a few minutes later.But the worst part of it all is all of the stuff that went missing during our move. Our vacuum cleaner, a brand new bag of 36lb dog food, three baby gates, a diaper pail, our garbage can, shovels, brooms, my dads tools and drill set, three boxes of food, etc. all totaling over $600. I filed a claim with the company, and they have denied it saying I signed the paperwork that all had arrived. So my advice to anybody using them, MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR STUFF IS THERE BEFORE SIGNING ANYTHING!! Count your boxes, anything not in boxes to look for!!! And my best advice is use anybody but this company!!

Excellent moving experience. Brett, Frank, Steve and Wayne did an OUTSTANDING job. These guys were not only very professional, but worked well together. They went over and above to make this move a stress free and pleasant experience. All were very personable too. I highly recommend this team. United moved us from Erie PA to Lexington KY with ease. The driver who packed our furniture etc was the same driver who delivered our furniture. Everything was handled with care and the driver/movers were great!!

It was a great move, the guys were awesome, nothing was damaged and they were very courteous and respectful. The office staff that I dealt with was very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

JH Bennett United Van Lines did a fabulous job with our move. We were moving from Tennessee to Southwest Florida. We had to put our things in storage for about 8 weeks and when all arrived, everything was in great shape except one item which was a dresser. The leg on it was broken but they offered to send someone out or said they would give me money to have it fixed myself. So, I opted for the money and they sent the check within 2 weeks. They also took care of shipping two vehicles as well and they both arrived when they said they would and were in excellent shape; no damage at all! I would highly recommend JH Bennett Moving & Storage.

Moved things to wrong place, workers were nice but stole cash, nothing was done to rectify the problems. Have to agree with the other person posting here... The customer service was great, until they got the money and the job was done. After that they basically said too bad so sad and dropped contact without trying to fix what they did.

The moving company was OK the people are actually fairly wonderful to deal with but unfortunately I had a few of my household goods broken and I have a compressor that was a large industrial compressor that was broken during the move and it took a long time in order to get the claim resolved. But otherwise they were a good moving company, very kind and helpful.

They lost our things, wont return phone calls, wont hold up to their contract agreement. I have moved many times, these people have the worst customer service ever. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I wish I could give negative stars

Please DO NOT use this company for your move. From start to finish it was a nightmare. This company and their team are very irresponsible. They packed my beds and upon arrival of the truck; the parts to put the bed together was on another truck. We had to sleep on mattresses for over one week. There were so many irresponsible people walking through my home and moving boxes and packing things. They packed my daughters computer and the box that the computer got packed in got crushed. Now they are stating that because we packed it; it is our fault. The computer screen cracked and they do not want to pay for it. We took out full insurance on the claim with a zero deductible. My washing machine drum is now making noise and that they are denying also. The movers took the plastic pins and put it on the back of the machine and they also took it off when they got here. Now they are stating that it is mechanical and they are not going to pay for it. My beds were not put together by the movers; as they said that they will put beds back together. I am still waiting after 2 months for someone to come from a restoration place to put my beds together. Also, my 65 inch television got packed by the movers in cardboard boxes; when I had bought solid TV boxes to put the television in. They movers did not use the TV boxes that I bought. This television got cracked on the screen and the claims team keep on stating that they will give a final settlement. To date we have not had any repairs and any settlement. It is over two months now since we moved. We had several pieces of very expensive plates that got broken and they are sweeping all the claims under the rug. The movers that were at my house keep on stating that the items will fit in two trucks. We clearly and any blind person could have seen that two trucks were not going to be enough. They waited last minute to get another truck. On the day of closing we had to wait for the 3rd truck to show up and we were late for the closing. The third truck did not come to my home after 8 days after JH Bennett promised. It has been over 2 months now and I am still waiting and calling the claims team to have things fixed. This is a NIGHTMARE FROM HELL. DO NOT USE JH BENNETT as they are the worst. If I could have give a zero starts I would have done this. More reviews are to come on this move from HELL. October of 2020 - UPDATE. - I did get my money back after fighting with their illiterate Insurance Department for ONE WHOLE YEAR. Do not make the mistake of using them because you are going to regret that decision. The mediator obviously gave me what I deserved after they put me through hell and back.
