Just stood at propane refill station for 15 minutes. No one acknowledged. I was in a truck with trailer so I wasn’t hard to see. I even called 5 minutes earlier to see if open and where to park.That’s why I go to rent a wreck on 26th when I can. This is Sunday they weren’t open otherwise I would have gone there.Service and price better.

The manager was EXTEAMLY HELPFUL! if needed I will only continue to deal with this specific location. Ive delt with all the employees and only have positive things to say about them! Thank you guys for all of your help! P.s to whom this may concern big fat raises are deserved for that team on Pittsburgh Ave! :)

The propane leaks and they only have one no smoking sign at the front of the propane that is fading and barely visible. If the worker wants to act like there’s signs everywhere and yell about it they should have proper warnings up because i figured they were professional and didn’t leak propane sorry,(and I had to search for the sign it’s not noticeable) here’s my warning to him… talk to me like that again and Watch me blow-up

Im actually disappointed to the level of leaving a detailed review in hopes it will save you from the frustrating experience I had.As you would predict there are very busy times on weekends. however the staff is completely overwhelmed as is the location.Of course the peak busy time would be during the beginning of a month especially summer months when many are moving for renting.The staff is polite and well-versed in customer service but at some point cannot serve the horde that predictably will require service during these times.Its chaos and the parking lot is so packed its unsafe if you can manage to maneuver your rental truck in or out of it.I tried to use the app to avoid this and it made it worse.When you get there and sign on to the app it tells you to go find your truck.After three trips around the parking lot I went in the store. My truck just happened to be in a field 2 hundred yards away from the front door with the key inside the store. an employee who thought they were providing service went and got it and drove it up without any PPE. Great.. So much for contactless pickup.Then the app puts you to work. Please see these pictures of the truck and dispute them if they do not match up with current damage. Once you go to do that the app crashes.try to return the vehicle and you cannot even get in the parking lot it is a lvl 10 cluster$#@! I decided to put the truck in the field where I found it with the same amount of frustration as the poor guy before me who had to park it there also...Try to return the vehicle using the app and it crashes forcing you back into the store.I left the keys as instructed by employee and checked to find a day later the truck had not been returned and I was still being charged.After a 40-minute wait on hold with customer service the truck was marked returned. however I am now charged twice for the same rental and on my fifth day with a pending charge on my bank account.The coup detat was when I received an email asking me to rate my experience, which I did, and went to send it and got a message that it had crashed and something was wrong on their end.Moving is stressful enough. do not go to this location during the beginning of a month in the summertime.

Everyone was very helpful! Had to rent a trailer to go to San Diego. The store seemed pretty busy just after the holidays. Everyone carried themselves well and was attentive to customer needs. Lenny the owner was very helpful and provided excellent customer service while training others. Would definitely suggest this store to friends and family.

This is a mix of this specific location and U-Haul corporate. I rented a 20 U-Haul and thought that the website was the best place to do this. Apparently, U-Haul doesnt check their inventory until the day before the pickup; not my perception, this is actually what the lady from corporate said. So I received a call the day before I was supposed to pickup the truck and they said that I needed to drive down to Meadville to pickup the truck and that they would add a credit in the event that I used more miles than expected. ... If youre curious, one-way trips use an estimated number of miles you are expected to use, so in my case because they recalculated the expected number of miles I needed to pay more and ONLY in the event that I used more than that would my credit begin to help. The lady from corporate was miserable and thought I was a total inconvenience for asking if she could do something to actually help me out. She freaked out and cold-transferred me to someone else who gave me a $50 credit. Because of the recalculated cost of the rental, I probably only broke even, but definitely lost based on time and unnecessary pain. Ill definitely look into other solutions next move. U-Haul cant seem to figure out how to do online reservations.

I would give way higher stars if it wasn’t for Tyler the manager! One guy was outside with a customer the other was waiting on one I store and asked the manager to come help me. He said no I’m busy ! So I had to wait for Sean(Shawn, however he spells it) to come in to help. When I returned the truck later in the day there was an issue on my bill that the guys tried to fix but never had to do it so we’re unsure on it. A guy who owns a diff store was there and assisted them . Why is it that the manager can’t help a paying customer but an owner of another store can? The truck was nice and clean the a/c blew nice and cold and all of the other employees were great!

Well good luck trying to properly schedule a rental vehicle! I called over a week prior to the date that I needed to rent a moving truck. I got confirmation from the rep that I had the vehicle for 3 days.... I called the day prior just to confirm the request, but got the GREAT NEWS that I only had it scheduled for ONE DAY! That is perfect considering all of my large household furniture was going to be on the truck still! Thanks for the poor service! So, here I come PENSKE!

First time I used them they tried to over charge because one of their employees did not log in the time I brought the truck back and the young man had a smart mouth! Today I was told I had to put my mask on as I was sitting in my car over 6’ away waiting to get my propane tank filled while he helped a man that had NO mask on! Then instead of apologizing for the mistreatment he tells me to “stop talking about it”. Terrible customer service!

This place of business was beyond exceptional and I would refer anyone there. They were so very helpful, super friendly and they go above ans beyond. The GM Lennie was such a hard working team player and does his job very well!!

Both times my family has come here to inquire about renting a truck, no one has acknowledged us, despite our presence being known. Employees talking in back but no one to be found on the floor. Tried asking for help for 10 minutes this time around and no answer. Penske will be getting our business.

How about retiring a truck with 150000 miles or at least fixing the air conditioning. Not a very pleasant experience when it’s 90 degrees that day.

Lets see... Guy I talked to sounded completely burnt on the phone... When I arrived, he was no better in person.. Gave me a truck with a 1/4 tank of fuel, when I returned it, I brought it back with a 1/4... They ended up charging me 40.00 to fill it up, and claimed that I neglected to put fuel in it.... I had taken a picture of the truck when I returned it inside, out, and the gas and mileage...After 4 days of asking for a manager to call me I ended up contesting the charges with my Credit Card company and then the manager elected to call me... I told him I had pictures of the gas gauge and that i would be glad to provide them, he refunded my money for the fuel...This place is a sham! TAKE PICTURES if you must rent from them...

I did a truck and a U-Box rental. Overall the employees were very helpful. I would give them more stars except they ignored my written request to store my U-Box in Erie for a couple months. They shipped the box to its destination and I was charged way earlier than planned for the shipment.

Uhaul is the biggest scam going. Penske or Ryder from now on.

Had a great experience purchasing a bike rack at Uhaul on Pittsburgh Avenue. Our sales person Michael answered all our questions and helped us attach the new bike rack! Couldn’t have asked for better service from a polite young man!

I rented 2 trucks from these guys over the last month; a 17 and a 24 footer. Both experiences were great. Brennan, Adam, Jeff and Lenny were all very helpful and accommodating. They were also very well priced in comparison to all other options in Erie. I HIGHLY recommend Uhaul on Pittsburgh Ave.

Get the recording of your conversation with reservations, especially on hitch and wiring quotes. The local people are good, but Im thinking national offices/call center not so much.

Didnt bother to tell us that they operate by business hours, 7-7. Wasnt in any of the paperwork, only written in small print on the door. Not like the uhaul back home with 24hr access so this was very unexpected and rather frustrating.

Fast. Simple. Easy. Adam is friendly and they explain everything you need to know and the vehicles are kept in good shape so there is no problems while on the road

Lazy employees. They didnt want to refill a propane take in the rain. Suggested I go to a gas station and trade my tank in. I called ahead of time to make sure I could get it refilled. They laughed when I asked to have it filled.

Prices are a too high and continue to rise, but service and protection of your stuff is adequate.

Terrible service. Had and appointment and was told it would take an hour and a half. Over 4 hours later tells us it wont be done. We had to ask. He didnt even come out to tell us. Never will go back again.

Always super useful and want to help. Had some difficulty at times with my company account that is paying for my move, just simple confusion on how to use the code at checkout, but they always figured it out and were kind while doing so.

Although I wished to pick up my Uhaul truck in Erie, at the last minute I was re-routed to Conneaut west of Meadville. It was an inconvenience to drive there, but otherwise everything was professionally handled and I had no trouble getting the truck the morning I had it rented for. Hopefully, next time I will be able to pick it up in Erie.

This was a total pain. Reserved my truck 3 days ahead of time and when I went to pick it up they didnt have the size truck I reserved so I had to pay more for the larger truck that they had. My advice is to go somewhere else.

When I do an online order to pick up and prepay for box order and it says ready for pick up I kinda of expect it ready not given a copy of my order and instructed to pull the order together myself . Really .??? No response other than we dont pull the order .Ok then why would one place the order .as it was items werent available that were the night bedbef when order was placed . Worse part no response like even sorry we didnt have time today to pull it together
