Great service good selection. Love the combination of local foods for sale along with all the normal grocery brands and types. Jim the manager does a phenomenal job making sure all the customers are treated important and that the quality of products and service is at a 5star standard!

Its just okay. I live closer to this grocery store than the bigger brand stores however Id prefer the latter. Ive had less than pleasant experiences at Green Valley but if I need an ingredient for a recipe, or just need a few things...theyre okay. The selections, quality, placement and layout are all just okay.I may be bitter because I was essentially yelled at like a 5 year old to no fault of my own (long story where there werent registers open and I had a full cart that was too much for self checkout) and Im not going to spend money where I felt disrespected.That particular employee doesnt totally discourage me from shopping there but again, for an in and out spot thats up the road, enh.

Went to the store tonight and there was a lot of customers ready to check out and they just closed all of the self check out and lanes and just left one lane open so customers had to stand in one long line down the isle and wait for one employee working a single register. The store still had around 45 minutes before they closed. If they left even 2 self check out registers open the store could have cleared out very quickly instead of doing this to their customers. Have been shopping here for years and if this is how theyre going to start treating customers I guess it will be Giant or Walmart.

Always clean the staff is very nice, helpful and stay busy! The store is a little on the expensive side, but the vegetables, fruit and fresh food ect... are always fresh! Its never a long lines when I go.. I can go to this store on a Saturday morning and them cashiers do not play when it comes to keeping them lines down! Great work to EVERYONE IN THIS STORE! I know working with different people and personalities on the daily basis can be difficult, but YOU ALL handle it well ☆☆☆☆☆ 💪🏾

I love this store, Im there almost daily to pick up something. But what brings me back is how kind the employees are. Friendly, accommodating, above and beyond. And then finally, today, a nasty, miserable, employee;Laura, at Customer Service. Thats the last place she should be. Customer service is not her area of expertise. This is why I didnt give 5 stars.

Unfortunately I have to write this review for crabs only. Everything in this store is AMAZING. I shop here once a week and it’s my only grocery store I go to. Today I got crabs for the first time and unfortunately they were the worst crabs I have ever gotten. They were $60 for medium/large however they definitely were not medium or large they were mostly small. I’ve never been this disappointed in crabs and I’m only writing this review to not get crabs from here. Anything else in this store is a 5 out of 5 except the crabs. We threw most of them away. I don’t blame them, it’s tough to make good crabs. I’m sorry to even have to write this.

Stood in customer service line for 20 minutes just to get a water bottle refill. The associate helped the one customer that was in front of me and walked away. After standing there for a while I asked an associate that was helping those at self checkout. She let the associate know I was waiting. When the associate came back out she said she assumed I was in line for the lottery. So instead of asking me if I needed help she chose to make an assumption. Please work on your customer service.

Love the selection and variety of pre-prepared foods. As my home away from home (work) grocery store, I frequent this Green Valley location often and am always surprised at the range of offerings. The addition of a sushi chef is a nice touch also. My only complaint is that I keep getting bad/sour egg salad. Like three times now. Stopped in this morning and got some for lunch, only to get back to work to discover its bad. Disappointing and frustrating. I should know better than to buy it but still. Other than that, awesome store. Always clean, employees are friendly.

I was at the store today. I normally do self-check out. I waited carefully for my turn to use the register with my son. Upon check out, a lady with blonde hair and glasses ran up telling me that maybe I butted in front of other people because apparently there is a sign posted way out of eye view that says I am to wait in a particular aisle prior to using the registers. I stated that I cant even see the signs and any signs need to be properly posted. She pointed to two signs way above eye view and said it was properly posted. She wanted me to stop checking out while she made sure I had not taken someone elses turn. She did and said I could continue. This was very upsetting. The signs cant be seen from the left or right. Even though the employee met no harm, it was very upsetting and disrupting.Cant you get a better system? I guess I wont be using the self check out again in the near future unless the store is empty. You need to properly train your employees.Mary

The Green Valley Market is a very good place to shop. They always have amazing sales and there deli, seafood and hot food bar are top notch. There customer service and employees are fantastic 👏.

I usually love this store. Its always very clean great products that you sometimes cant find anywhere else. The only complaint was that I called asking if a product was in stock and the clerk said they were too busy and said if I called back in a half hour she would check. Not the usual service but everyone has bad days.

Always a great experience when I go here! Store is always clean, and I can find things that I wouldnt normally find in the huge chain store up the road from the house! DIFFERENT things... Like a certain applesauce made with Honey Crisp apples that Ive never found anywhere else. Not to mention the pre made in house meals, such as Pit Ham, Pit turkey, Pot Roast, crab dip with pretzel bites! My kind of store. I like going there because of the variety of fresh food,, food made right there in the store, good for you single folks. They carry what seems like a lot of local vendors products and produce. Bring your own bags and check it out. First time I went there, I was impressed and I am sure you will.

Nice little store, but when ever items are on sell in their circular. They do not mark them down in store. Such as sweet baby rays. Sell price .99¢ in the circular but $1.88 in store. Hold on to the circular!

Very nice place to shop. Slightly smaller than the larger supermarkets, but they always have a very wide and deep selection of everything you could want or need. Prices appear to be about the same as the bigger chains. And their customer service is great.I think their only downside is their own clientele. Some people just ... arent ... so smart. But they are definitely the exception.Its nice to occasionally shop at a more local, smaller chain rather than the big boys. And Green Valley Marketplace definitely fits the bill.

Small local store. They do Easter and Halloween events for the kids. Which is nice! Self check out is also a plus! They have a small section for local vendors to sell their products too.I believe some general items are overpriced here. While others are comparable to other stores. Other than that, they have everything else a large chain store would have except the pharmacy, however a Walgreens is next door.

Great fried chicken and prepared food selection. The wing bar and the pit meats on the weekend are awesome too. They also have a surprising organic selection. The bakery is amazing with all the selections and their custom cakes are incredible!

Stopped in today for the first time. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the store and presentation of products. Very nice young lady walked me thru store to find eggs. I’ll be back.....

Update 7/25/21Bought cheese today, got home to make a sandwich. Moldy cheese. see picturesMake sure you check your receipt when you buy frozen food here. I drive a bit out of the way to buy chicken in bulk and while here I usually pick up a few things. When I came back ir was over 7 days so Im out of luck but 2 dollars a box of pizza. when i spoke to the counter person I was told yeah I know its wrong. I told her I usually have to say something at the register each time but was in a rush.... its been wrong for over 4 months, still wrong today and I bet will be wrong tomorrow.. check those receipts folks..Update.... stopped in to get more chicken. I checked. same pricing issue.and another update.... over a month later.. still not fixed ....... wowsent an email last week after having to go find a general email for the store. have not heard anything

I am a frequent shopper of the Elkridge Green Valley. I love this store! Agree that they may not be the cheapest but their deli, seafood and meat departments are great. Their bakery is delightful always offering something new. However when ordering something like a birthday or baby shower cake be extra sure they understand what you want. You may be disappointed. And of everything about them, they have the absolute best customer service! Twice they exceeded my expectations!!!! Kudos to the customer service and cashiers that are always pleasant!!!

Small but very clean, and reasonable priced items, the bakery has really creative and cute I love the weekly specials! Today I went and the special was for chicken, 20lps of drumsticks for $10.00!!

This place is absolutely amazing! It does not always have what you want comparing to bigger grocery chains but the quality of meat and seafood is excellent. I was amazed how knowledgeable the seafood clerks are. And the local fruits and vegetables often have good sale prices and selections.

I dont shop here very often, maybe once a month. But I love this store. The prices are very good and affordable, and they carry local products. Theyre the only store I know of that sells egg bagels -- very common elsewhere, but very difficult to find in this region! But the one thing that sets this place apart from the big chains is the friendliness of the people who work here. It feels like a neighborhood store, and the few instances when Ive talked to the employees, theyre actually engaging people and not robots who hate their jobs. I want to commend the employees here. Thank you for making shopping here a wonderful experience.

There is no zero star, if exist I gave this horrible service big zero . With out any reason, security asked me where did you put chocolate box and I show them and I said just I changed my mind why you ask me this question. They embarrassed me front the other shoppers. Other thing be aware, I did put some sign on chicken and a day after I find they change price tag with new date for chicken witch date of expiry of that was yesterday. After 20 minutes waiting for meat department manager . He just surprised that how I am clever that I find they did act illegal, believe it or not he laugh and said I will check on this, that is it . Customer service employees are super rude . Absolutely I did not recommend this store . Giant food have fair price and fresh produce and more importantly great courtesy to the costumer.

I love this market! You can find things here that you cant find at other stores. Certain brands or flavors pop up here as if they have magic managers who can get anything they waive their wand to have! I found scented toilet tissue!! 🤣 Also, I do love the in house deli meals that they prepare. I eat vegan so I love how some of the deli salads are vegan. Their tai noodles rock!Lately though, its been less vegan options since COVID which is why I took off one star. The vegan options are why I originally found this market and started going there. I also think sometimes they are a bit expensive. But then I thought that as soon as they are too expensive on some things, they are so reasonable in another. So, it cancels itself out I suppose. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Plus, theres plenty vegan frozen items, vegan milk, vegan just egg and cheese, so its never a visit in vain!Also, for CBD & Hemp lovers, they have a great selection along with other natural options. I found an amazing Vegan Hemp Muscle Rub for only $4.84 per tube! 😘Happy Shopping!!

I go to this store just about everyday, I feel as though most of the staff are great theirs a dude in the seafood department who seems to be very helpful. He always has a positive attitude ready to go beyond measures just to help !! Never had a problem at this store. Self checkout is not( partial payment friendly ) you’ll be standing their for about 3 mins because the machine will freeze !!

Great crabs and crab pricing. Everyone is friendly. Never had an issue here.The isles are on the tight side. You can find some of the rarer slightly off brand names here that are good to eat like giant bags of buffalo wings or harder to find candies.

I am writing this review because I want you to know how lucky you are to have a great person working your seafood department. Mr. Jim is one of the main reasons I shop at this store. He is always cheerful and very personable. I only shop for my seafood here when he’s working. He is always helpful in answering all of my questions about certain fish and other seafood. He takes time with all of “his” customers. He knows all the regulars by name and even if they aren’t getting anything from him he goes the extra mile to great them. I feel like he truly cares about his job and customers. He is the most important person working the seafood department if you ask me.

I could live in their coffee aisle. Wonderful little store, somewhat higher in price, but if youre going for a specific item or a sale item, they are dead on and winners in my book. For regular weekly shopping, I would stick with the other chains, but this one does have certain purposes.

You know what I hate about this place?.... NOTHING! Awesome ssuper market! Some of the staff know my name and greet me respectfully. Who ever the manager is does a great job. Giant, Safeway, Food Lion and Shoppers aint got ish on this place!!!!!!

Love this store. Seafood department is on point everytime. I love buying raw oysters here! Never any bad ones and always great flavor for a reasonable price. Fish and crabs here are great as well.

Did an online order because I wanted to avoid coming in store. Placed two orders and both were brought out to the car, no problem. That is until I informed the clerk that my water was incorrect. They charged me for the 40 case brand but gave me 24 pack store brand. I needed the branded water for work purposes. She brought out the branded water. Perfect. Now I need a receipt to be reimbursed for work. Then I was told oh you have to go inside for that. Defeated the entire purpose of online ordering but whatever. Then an older woman whose name I WISH I had gotten was the rudest person I’ve come across at this store. She bluntly told me I wasn’t getting a receipt that day and would have to come back the next day. I asked for the manager which I hate doing but I simply needed a receipt. The young guy behind the counter gave it effort but I don’t believe he knew the full process. Manager comes over and attempts to give me a receipt but in the end stated the same thing. Have to wait til tomorrow. In this day and age you should be able to exchange a case of water and receive a receipt for what you pay. This process needs to be better. I then was told I would need to waste my gas and time and come back out of my way to the store in order to get a receipt for the items I PAID FOR the next day. I have been coming to this store for years but the way I was treated made me feel very much less than and I likely will not be shopping here anymore.

This is the best grocery store around. They have the best deli and salad bar. The store manager likes to have a big cookouts during the weekends mostly during football season and welcomes all.

They have a nice selection of organic products, but for the most part it’s a mainstream grocery store like Giant or Safeway.But getting back to the organic stuff..I like that it’s embraced throughout the store.The staff are always friendly. They usually always have a little event during the weekend.Only complaint is the lack of meat.
