Dont underestimate the inventory of this small store. It is packed with more items than many stores 10 times this size. And their staff gives great advice on DIY projects--very knowledgeable and friendly. If by chance they dont have what you want, they can order it and have it quickly. They are my first stop for any need.

I love this place. Its become my go-to store that I always visit first before heading to Lowes or Home Depot. Great selections and prices considering the size of the place, plus the people here all know what theyre doing which helps you get in and back out again pretty quickly.

Such an awesome place to have conveniently located in El Cajon. Closer than Home Depot or Lowes and perfect for when you need that one small item, or several things for a home project - they have so much variety! Plus its always great to support a local small business! I foresee a lot of trips to this place!

Very nice small hardware store with good prices and service. If you working in the east side of El Cajon its a real time saver. The angle stops I purchased recently were lower then the box stores. Support the little guys anytime you can!

Great local hardware store.First time I’ve ever went into a hardware store where an employee was honest & helpful.I was there to get stuff to help me mount things in my new apartment.John was super helpful & even stopped me from buying a more expensive screws to offer me a cheaper but even better screw pack for what I need them for! That showed me honesty & that’s what I look for in any place I visit.Handicap friendly but the store is pretty small so be mindful of how narrow it can be for some wheelchair users!Thanks for the help!

Great little store with excellent service, like only a local store can provide. I always find the shelves well stocked and organized. They dont have everything, but theyve got a lot and its easy to find at good prices.

Super friendly local convenient hardware store. This small store has the convenience youre looking for due to its size. Its not like going into a big box store and walking all over the place to find what youre looking for. This small store has everything centrally located and its pretty easy to get in and out. The staff is super friendly and Ive already done a purchase and they made exchanges really simple. I highly recommend this store and will gladly come back.

Much more pleasant than having to go to Home Depot. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great selections of a multitude of items. While I was there, I heard the Staff refer customers to other local Businesses for what they were looking for. It will be my choice over Home Depot, whenever possible.

Astonishing! I sent an email Sunday night to El Cajon Hardware (assuming they would answer on Monday) to ask if they carried ammonia (a little bit in a cup in crawl spaces repels rodents). Much to my surprise, my email was answered (yes) by Sam. When I went in on Monday to pick it up, I said to the very pleasant fellow at the cashier, Are you Sam? He said, No, that was my dad; he said you would be call about the ammonia, which was waiting for me at the counter. I remember that many businesses were like this in the 60s, customer-oriented. No wonder El Cajon Hardware is rated #1. From now on this is my first stop for any hardware needs.

Always have what I need. Great service. Great people!! Better than home depot for the smaller things you need -- they have them and you dont have to go through dozens of aisles to find what you need -- or just ask and they will get while you wait at the counter!!!

Love this place. After going to ikea, harbor freight, and 3 other places I came here and found shelf brackets! Great pricing and was able to get all I need and I returned the expensive brackets I bought at home depot.

Love this place. They have more than you would imagine in there. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Their customer service is 1000 times better than any of the chain stores and the prices are very reasonable.

Its not a huge store, but its well stocked. The best thing is that you dont have to buy a pack of anything when you only need one item.Service is friendly, clerks are knowledgeable a d prices are fair.

Walked in and was helped immediately. The store is impressively clean and organized. The gentleman that helped me was the son and he was super knowledgeable and asked about my project and even gave me some tips. Awesome service.

Dont let the small size fool you. This is a very well organized and complete home hardware store. I like that it is an independently owned business with owners who actually care about their customers. I will be back!

I love having this local hardware store. The owner knows exactly what they have and where it is. Walk in say “I need two feet of 2” schedule 40 abs” and the owner runs over and cuts it for you. They always seem to have just what I need, they’re close, helpful, speedy, and not overpriced.

They are helpful and very pleasant, but they are really expensive. Bought the same thing at home Depot for $10 dollars cheaper! Thats a big difference in price, worth driving a few miles for.

Amazing customer service never been there before I was trying to jam to get in there and find a part real quick and get out the part I was exactly looking for didnt quite have since my generator is older but was able to find parts I could use that would work perfect with it very knowledgeable guys show me friendly great customer service I recommend them to anybody

This little gem of a hole in the wall offers just about everything you need. I go here at least once a week for everything from nuts and bolts, BB guns, to flower seeds and power tools.

This store has everything you could ever want from a small family-owned hardware store. The convenience and customer service is enough to keep me coming here instead of the bigger stores. The pricing is also very competitive compared to a lot of the other bigger hardware stores. All in all, im very happy to have this new store in El Cajon.

A genuine mom n pop hw store, with an actual mom n pop, that will actually come out from behind the counter and HELP U! ❤ Perhaps not the place to get builfing supplies in bulk, but they pack a surprising array of inventory into a small shop! Autozone dint have what I needed - they DID! Prices are downright reasonable too! 😉
