Always neat and organized. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We found what we were looking for, and had assistance with putting it into our truck. We frequently shop at Harbor Freight for small tools, gloves, batteries and save quite a bit of money!

I called asked a few questions because Im driving up from ensenada to see if the products were available and they wouldnt even go and look they just said come up no thank you

Had a roofing nail gun go sneakers up when the last nail in a coil got jammed in upside down. Dont ask, I have no idea how I managed it. Took it back hoping they would have some advice on fixing it. They exchanged it! Very impressed that they stood behind their product with no argument, no sending it to be fixed, just how can we get you back on the roof putting down shingles. El Cajon store was out of them so they were willing to hold one for me from their next shipment or send me to another store. I picked one up at the Poway store so I could get back to work on the roof. Dealt with the managers at both stores...they were both awesome! Many thanks to them both for turning what could have been a really bad experience into a good one. Will make a point to recommend and to shop at both stores in the future.

Store is neat and well organized. I had an item for exchange. I selected another item and paid the difference. Prompt check out. Actual store entrance is on rear of the building...at 1196 E. Main St. Ill be back again.

These stores are a necessity for DIY mechanics and homeowners. Its so convenient to pop in, get what you meed and check pout fast. This one is walking distance from my house and they ALWAYS have what I need.

Making a purchase for my husband - this parking lot was dirty not just littler but trash and ick everywhere. I did not feel safe in the parking lot. I will not go here alone again. No matter what area a merchant is in there is no excuse for the horrible condition of their entrance. I wish I would have taken a photo.

Great source for inexpensive tools. Staff is knowledgeable, and helpful. Online site lets you create/print a shopping list, and many manuals/instructions are there in PDF form to research.

I went in a few weeks ago and bought a 10 gun safe. I got it all the way home and into my room, unwrapped it, and proceeded to try and open it... nothing! The locking mechanism was broken, major bummer. I called the store and was told they get in only 1 safe a week on Wednesday and to call early on Thursday. I called them and they placed the safe on hold for me. Upon returning the safe, Michael (supervisor) was kind, courteous, and happy to help. He helped me unload the broken safe and helped me load up the new one. He made sure I was good to go before taking off. All is well, the new safe works like a charm and looks like a newer model. The writing on the safe is darker grey vs silver and opens and closes nicely. Thank you Michael and Harbor Freight El Cajon!!

A mans play ground love harbor freight. And the return is the easiest in the world never have I seen a business take care of there costumers like that always a costumer. Also a inside track club member if your not its cheap and worth it.

Impressive: store employees were very friendly, courteous and helpful! Not only did they go out of their way to help us find exactly what we needed to get, I observed them doing the same thing with a few other customers, also. What made their customer service stand out even more and make such a huge impression on me was the fact that this high level of employee helpfulness to every customer in the store was occurring within half an hour of the stores closing time on a Friday night. Rather than trying to shoo customers out of the store like most stores would typically do just prior to closing, their employees demonstrated genuine care and concern for their customers by taking the time necessary to meet their needs.

Cant enter through what would appear to be the front main entrance. Sign says enter in rear. I walked to the left and towards the rear and its another business with no affiliation to Harbor Frieght. And there was a large steel fence preventing me from actually going to the rear of their building. At this point I thought to my self that there was no point in pursuing any longer and went back to my vehicle out in the front and drove away. Not at all what I would expect as a normal visit to any store especially this one. I feel there is some kind of bad layout for sure but its not customer friendly for sure. This store may or may not be ok but if you cant get inside then im not wishing to visit it.

Harbor Freight is great. I went for staples. But I spent $44. Dollars. I always see things that I need. And yesterday I had the money to spend.

HOME RUN Again! Last time it was a generator. Lamar, the store manager bent over backwards to help me and make sure I got the right size generator for my needs. He was awesome then and still is. Today I needed an indoor security camera. They didnt have the one I wanted in the cage or on the shelf.He very easily could have said Sorry were out but no he went in back looked thru stock and low and behold found the camera I needed. The cashier Sheilah was super helpful and kind as well. Wow I love this store and the way they treat customers. Lamar and Sheilah are the perfect example of how to treat customers. P.S. I have to admit. I love LOVE hardware stores. And Harbor Freight has really stepped up the quality of their tools and accessories to fill the hole Sears left behind.But, they also still have some of the inexpensive yet necessary odds and we need.They carry mechanics, woodworking, and other hand and power tools. Hydraulic tools, air compressor. But the also have garden and jewelers tools, tools for working on electronics.If you have never been to a Harbor Freight you really need to go when you have time to wander around.They are open during the pandemic because they provide goods needed by essential workers but I dont recommend casual shopping now.

Harbor Freight Tools isnt exactly the place where highest quality is a priority, Im sorry to say... But the customer service is good. Theres an older gentleman that always helps me with any off the wall question I might have. Lol. H.F.T does have great sales frequently too!! Which means items run out quickly. Altogether a good tool store.

They always try to help, (whether they can or not is a policy question), I feel that they always do their absolute best to serve the customers. I have never been ignored at Harbor freight

Ive been in many HF stores and by comparison Ill give this one a not bad rating based on the following: parking situation, general upkeep and appearance, inventory maintenance, and employee knowledge and demeanor.Ive seen worse and better stores. This is probably average on all these marks with below average on parking and a little above on inventory.

Okay tools for the money. Always feel dirty when buying from China. Customer service is so bad that when you call to get something corrected they have no problem asking for you to call back in two hours.

Harbour freight definitely has some of the best deals for tools the only thing I can say about this location is that the parking the back is not the greatest But other net its a great place to go to get tools

They did not carry round reflectors. Also there is no indication when you drive up to it that you must park and enter from the rear. The notification was small enough that I had to be in front of the doors whose entry is unaccessible before I could read the sign.

Was looking at winches for my off-road 4x4 and saw the 12,000 lb one on display, but didnt see one in a box to purchase. Went to the checkout counter and the female clerk was very helpful, even went to the back of the store to look for them, then went on the computer and searched for them locally. Found a couple in Chula Vista. She then printed out a discount coupon to save me 20%. Very helpful even though it was very busy. Thanks.

Everything you need for cheap! Now beware when people say they have cheap bad tools? If you are a professional who needs to use your tools every day for your job? Then yes they have cheap tools but if you are like me and just need a tool to be used a couple of weekends a year? Then they have the best tools!

It is a unique niche for a business, quite an unusual chain. They actually do a better job on tools than the big box hardware stores, and pretty much, that is all they do. No hardware. Just tools and actually quite a few innovative and useful products at great prices. Some of it is good quality, yet more of it is for weekend warriors who just need to get the job done and not overpay for a professional tool. I dont know anyone who does not like Harbor Freight for less than the highest end PRO needs. You cant have every tool and you dont always need the best of every tool. Harbor Freight has a great selection of pretty good AND total budget options to get you through the weekend. There is a reason for the cult following!

One of my favorite places to get inexpensive good tools. As a hobbyist I dont need heavy duty commercial tool which they also carry. They always have coupon specials. They carry a wide variety of tools and other items. The staff is very knowledgeable.

I couldnt find a wheeled portable tool box system. I find it very troubling that harbor freight has not made the effort to be competing with the orange big box stores with regard to tool storage options. However, theyre ahead of orange in tool box accessories.

Was dissatisfied I bought a battery charger back in July and never had used it.when I went to use it yesterday it didnt work just back from harbor freight and was told I had no options because I didnt buy the extended warranty. Now I have a 10 lb anchor very dissatisfied !:(

Affordable prices

Prices are NOT cheap. Lines are ridiculously long. Staff seems ok but no one on the floor to help. Finally a customer saw I was bewildered and helped me. I was grateful.
