The team at El Cajon BMW were fabulous. We walked through the doors for the first time at at 1700 and three hours later my daughter drove off the lot with her new car. They were friendly and efficient. The level of competence and attention to detail you expect from BMW. Had my vehicle in for its first scheduled service. My service writer Daniel was very courteous throughout the entire transaction. My vehicle service was done very timely and my vehicle returned clean and washed. Overall very pleased with service at BMW El Cajon.
Went in for my 20,000 service oil change and to get 4 new tires. Was helped by a service advisor: Chris in El Cajon and he was fabulous. From the moment I called in he took my call and order and informed me the tires would be in the next day and I can go on with my day with a car loaner. The car loaner girl unfortunately can’t remember her name, but she was very nice and friendly. Provided me with a 2022 BMW X1, which same model I drive but mine is a 2019. Chris kept me updated throughout the day and he informed me unfortunately wouldn’t be ready to pick up until next day, I was actually stoked to enjoy the loaner another day! Upon dropping off my car the next day, I work long about 10 long hours and least thing I remember was to fill up fuel but to make it on time before they closed, Chris went ahead and waived the fuel charge. I work in car rental company and I definitely felt well treated!! Recently had to go back because unsure how but the windshield wipers that were replaced in that visit broke off like a month later and had to stop by again, Chris made sure it was done in an efficient manner within an hour it was done and was taken care of through my warranty, love it! Chris went above and beyond and I seriously feel the same every time I visit BMW of El Cajon, like the red carpet is rolled out every time. Regardless of who is at this location everyone is friendly and goes above and beyond with customer service. I am always recommending BMW of El Cajon to my friends, family and colleagues. Chris in the front office was amazing, I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who may need to have their BMW worked on or serviced. The folks here are incredibly helpful and responsive, and made sure to keep me in the loop as they worked on my car. I recently moved to the San Diego area and shortly upon my arrival my Car’s computer system warned me that my brake pads were due for a replacement. BMW of El Cajon was close by and super convenient to get to from the freeway.Chris helped attend to my car’s brakes and also checked oil, tire wear, and performed a tire rotation. While taking it for a test drive they notice some noise coming from the front passenger side wheel and replaced the bearings for a smoother, quieter drive. What I really thought was cool was the video the provided by the mechanics walking me through the updates.I’ll be a return us toner for sure.

I live in AZ and this was the closest BMW dealership near my home. After visiting this location I really dont know why I ever went to BMW of Scottsdale or San Diego. BMW of El Cajon has a top notch service department offering things the others have been lacking lately. Sweet Loaner to drive while my car was being worked on - Check, Free espresso machine - Check, Coupon on their website for a $79 oil change for new customers - Check, Friendly service advisor (Juan) and shop foreman(Alex) - Check and Check! This is certainly my new preferred BMW dealership!
First off, the cars are truly the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE- like all the commercials say! I love the vehicles, and this is my third one.The service department is great. All the guys are professional, personable, and courteous. My interactions were quick, and I was informed of all the work being provided. Truly BMW of El Cajon is my favorite dealership.

I dont know if this location is under new management but I have had terrible service for the last 2 visits. Previously I felt that BMW provided great care and customer service but I can honestly say I will never return to this BMW location for repairs on my car. I had taken my car in for a recall issue (that was confirmed a recall issue by 2 other shops). BMW of El Cajon stated that I needed to 1) pay for the inspection of the recall and 2) needed another service just to be able to see if it truly was a recall issue. They charged me for both items and then said that they would refund both if it was a recall issue, which they never followed through with. It has been months and have not recieved payment. They also gave me an estimate for over $10,000 in service related issues for my car and when I took it to another location for a second estimate, they said that only about $2000 of that was actually needed. I have left 2 messages with no response from management which shows the lack of customer service and concern they have for their clients. I never write these reviews since I believe in businesses getting the chance to rectify issues before a public shaming, but they have shown no regard for wanting to make it right. Beware of over charges and over estimates and shady business practices.
It was a pleasure working with Michael and his team as I went in to buy my first BMW. From the moment I came in, I encountered a friendly and comfortable environment. Michael is a very easy going person who makes your buying experience very enjoyable. He is attentive to your interest and very knowledgeable. I test drove 2 vehicles from which one was in the show room. He went all in and took the one from the show room out to show me the difference between the two vehicles which impressed me because he had to move a couple vehicles around to be able to take it outside. Afterwards, I had a custom built vehicle that I wanted to find out if it can be done. Despite the limited incoming vehicles and the chip shortage, Michael and his manager found a way to order the vehicle I built online exactly how I wanted it and more and now it’s being built in Germany, arriving just before Christmas. Very smooth experience with Michael Rush and his team at BMW of El Cajon, CA. I would highly recommend Michael for your next car buying experience. Thank you.

My daughter’s car tire went flat and she has Saturday is the only day the car is free. I made an appointment with the dealer on this day but then I could not make it. I was busy at the time and I canceled my 10:30am appointment at the last minute. Two hours later by 12:30pm I was free but the appointment has been canceled. I tried to call a few places to see if they can fix my tire, but they all said the tire needed to be special order and it will take a few days.. I knew it was too late if I call the dealer again but I gave myself a try hopefully dealer will take me in.Amazing service at the service department of BMW of El Cajon and Chris is the best! I called the dealer’s service and Chris answered my call. After hearing my explanation about canceling my morning appointment, he said I could bring the car in and he will look at how bad the flat tire was and will check with stock if the tire needed to be replaced and new tire is available in stock. Chris is amazing and makes the process really smooth. He goes above and beyond for his customers and tried to help as much as possible. I will definitely keep bringing my car to this dealer for all of the services in future.
This is my preferred dealership to get service done in San Diego. Prices are competitive compared to other service centers, but its less chaotic here and you have a much better chance of getting a loner vehicle (huge plus).Art was my service advisor and I recommend him. My X3 was getting its brakes replaced and had to stay over the weekend, and he kept me up to date daily via text and had my car ready when I came back. Zero issues throughout.
It was a good experience, David from BMW was very helpful and profesional. My only disappointed is that I was charged $140.00, for an oil change because my car guarantee expired 7 days before.
Everything was great! I understand with loaner cars, you cant get what you want so I got stuck with an X2 and hated it. I was hoping to get an X5 to text drive since my 5 series lease is over is three months. But they couldnt make it happen.
I like the new check-in and out. No waiting time at the door, always greeted by the staff promptly. The service advisor Chris was very friendly, detailed, and professional. I also liked the texting estimate and video review of the service technicians check-up. The on-line direct signature certainly a convenient way for customers. The new requirement of verification for declaration page in car insurance delayed a little for the loaner car check-out, may be necessary to catch fraudulent activity. Overall improved further. The service starts prior to my appointment. BMW of El Cajon called and verified what was needed for my car, so everything was setup before I arrived.Met with my service advisor, David and he reviewed all the information, informed me what was going to be done and got me setup with a loaner.After I left, I received a text and was able to see the status of the service being performed.Everything was done to my expectations and it was a great experience.
Daniel and David in the service department took excellent care of me. Work was completed quickly, the communication was excellent. There is BMW dealer a mile from my office, but the service we get in El Cajon is worth going out of the way for.
A zero or negative star is what their service dept. needs. Chris, Kenneth and Daniel are nothing short of liars and crooks. I was told that my tire was covered by road hazard by both Chris (over the phone) and Kenneth (who literally wrote it in my estimate). Car was dropped off on Friday and when I came to pick it up on Wednesday I was then told that I had to pay for the tire. This was a total surprise considering TWO service reps told me it was covered under road hazard and again not to mention literally hand written that it was. This is when Daniel the manager stepped in and was beyond rude. His intimidation and harassment tactics were extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. He told me that I was not getting a free tire and I had the option of paying for the tire or he would take it off and reinstall my punctured hazardous tire and I was free to drive off with that. Obviously I did not drive off with a damaged tire and risk getting into a very bad accident. I value the safety of others. Unfortunately I cant say the same about the service staff at BMW of El Cajon. As a customer I did not want to sign the initial estimate because it had a dollar amount for the tire and that is when Kenneth said that he would physically write road hazard to reassure me. I write this to make any future service customers aware of any potential crooked dealings, intimidation tactics that they might come across or even worse having to listen to an advisor tell you to drive off in a situation where you might be severely injured or severely injury someone else. Zero customer service skills, zero ownership to a mistake they clearly made, zero care for the safety of anyone and zero stars is what this service dept. deserves.
Had my BMW I3 serviced on 8/24. Did a great job. Great communication and even a video of condition. Hi tech tire alignment print out is impressive. Service advisor Manuel gastelum kept me informed via text and did an excellent job; he deserves a raise.
As per my appointment this AM.....today..I can only say that I was treated with courtesy as my car was in and out of El Cajon BMW within an hour and half. My advisor, David Valdez made sure I was comfortable with the work to be done and the time frame. Recently purchased a used Z4 from them, and it was a very pleasant experience. To start off there was a price posted on the internet that was a thousand dollars cheaper than they had it priced at the lot and they honored the online price. Then I live about 3.5 hours from El Cajon and had to take the train down there, before I could even ask how I would get to the dealership from train station Chelsea said that she would pick me up at the station and drive me to the dealership. Overall a very good experience thank you Chelsea.

They fixed all the recalls that were on my car that it was brought into for service, also a recommended multipoint inspection inspection as well about some things i need to take care of in the near future. Good overall. Quality of work, customer service, and communication. However, I am disappointed of the quality of BMW parts. BMW placed a cheap/ plastic parking brake bracket (a $13 part) in a critical spot. To replace...a whopping $700 (all labor) to disassemble surrounding panels/ parts. This bracket is bound to break again. Seems like customers are absorbing BMWs poor design. I hope that the service center brings this issue to BMW to improve the design and reduce customer cost of ownership.

I drop my bmw x6 to El cajon bmw for recall but they call it N63 Customer Care Package to inspect and fix the problem, the engine make a big noise,driving really poor, because of timing chain problem from N63 engine, they never fix the problem and it was a horrible experience with service advisor Manny Gastelum he was trying to sell me the things I dont need and completely ignoring the main problem,I end up paying for nothing, they didnt fix nothing, they waste my time and destroy my car, they deliver my car with all parts taken out and they even throw all the parts in the truck with no explanation. They suppose to give me $50 for gas from N63 customer care package they didnt give it to me as well.

Here we are Wednesday, no updates from BMW - and I just had to call, speak with the manager, who informed me that they made their decision on Saturday. but I guess letting me know wasnt on their priority list. If I could give zero stars I would. Paul was nice at first, but it’s all about the money of course. I was really interested in a vehicle and instead of letting me know the car was sold, he had me thinking the car was still available. I know there are other costumers/buyers, but it would be a nice courtesy to potential buyers (also very serious buyers) to let them know that the car they were interested in is no longer available. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
I came in for an oil change service and was told I can also get additional services (e.g., replaced spark plugs, cleaned filters, etc.) free of charge due to my warranty. I was told it would take approximately 3hrs, but I was in and out in 2hrs. Gotta appreciate service like that and appreciate people like Manny@BMW of El Cajon who looks out for his customers

I purchased my 2021 X3 from BMW of El Cajon and would strongly recommend them to anyone interested in getting a new of used BMW. The salesman, Randy Grams, was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable, and helped me tremendously. I shopped for my car at two other dealerships in San Diego but was disappointed in the deals they had to offer and their lack of knowledge about incentives that applied to me (such as being prior military, being a loyal customer, etc.). BMW of El Cajon contacted us because our 2012 BMW 525i had a recall. I was impressed that they contacted use since it had been many many years since we last conducted business with this dealer. Everything from scheduling the appointment to renting a loaner car was easy. They completes the repair within two hours and even gave me a print out of some other repairs the car needed. The BMW staff were all nice and pleasant to work with. The loaner car was a BMW 228i, it was clean and easy to drive. I had a great experience with this BMW dealer, I would definitely recommend them and will visit them again.

Very poor experience with the service manager Enzo. I emailed my concerns to the General Manager and I hope to hear back from him. The GM responded via email that he would discuss the issue with the service manager. I have since gone to BMW of San Diego and they treated me 100% better and earned my trust to work with them in the future.
Everything here seems to be adequate. The personal touch isn’t there. More robotic and business like. BMW of Encinitas is far superior or at least the drop of team is. I have recently moved and BMW of El Cajon is the closest dealer near me. I was hoping that they would have the same customer service acumen that I was accustomed to coming from north county. It wasn’t even close. I’m sure the repairs were done to BMW standards, but the customer service lacked. When I picked up my 750i, the car was supposed to be washed, but when I got it, the car was filthy. It is always the little things that set dealerships apart, and El Cajon BMW probably does everything ok but doesn’t do anything exceptional. I could mention a few other items that weren’t taken care of initially that were discussed before I dropped of my car, but that would take up too much time. In the future, I will take the time and go back to Encinitas to have my repairs done and deal with an amazing team that truly takes customer service to the next level.

Excellent service, the video review of my auto by the mechanic is clever and adds trust. My service writer was very nice, new to me, his name was Manny, and he quickly made me feel as though he would look out for my best interests. The loaner department was courteous, every single person I interacted with was kind, helpful, and professional. Great job!!
Went into the dealership looking for a car to lease or purchase for my wife. We were approached by Sonny and he was very thorough and super helpful. Showed us the options that we had and we ended up leasing our car because of Sonny! Thank you for the help and the customer service. Sonny, you have gotten yourself a life long customer!
I was told before I bought in my car that an oil change would be 1-1.5 hrs but today, I waited almost 3 hours for an oil change. I came in at 10:45 am, a few min. before my 11 am apt. my car was returned to me at 1:45pm. They apologized but a simple oil change took that long not happy.
I went into the the bmw of El Cajon because I had previously had my car serviced elsewhere and my car was not serviced correctly. BMW of El Cajon helped me right away. Every employee who I talked to was very informative and helpful. Juan was very helpful and reassured me everything would be fixed ! Thank you so much bmw of El Cajon !
I bought my first car here certified pre-owned a few months ago. After putting less than 3,000 miles on the 2018 320i, I got it serviced at another location. Only to find leaking shrader valves, leaking oil pan, AND crankshaft rear main seal leaking. Luckily got it all fixed but definitely makes me doubt their certification process.
Manny@BMW of El Cajon was great! I got my car serviced on a Saturday. Thoroughly explained what would be done & even sent a video showing what they checked and the results. They provided me with a very nice rental car for the day which I really appreciated!
Our experience at BMW of El Cajon was very professional and met all of our expectations. There was frequent communication sent through the message service that they use and our representative was available to answer questions that we had.
Went to BMW of El Cajon for service 2 times so far and havent been disappointed. They have kept my X5M in tip top shape. I like to drive it hard and it needs to be up to spec. Manuel Gastelum was my service rep and he made my oil change and air filter replacement easy peazy. And for a decent price too. Do your car a favor and get it dealership serviced.
I had an horrible experience at BMW of El Cajon, I scheduled an appointment to get an oil change, went in and was meet with Manuel a service representative, now my was at 7:15am the first car there my car want assigned to anyone when I dropped it off but mine you he encourage me to also change my filters because it was part of my service that was due next year February 2022 I said ok go ahead. Throughout the seven days my car was thee I was told the technician called out, I asked why is that my problem. When I went in there my car had no issues and while it was there not being worked on he tells me that I have injectors and some other items that would cost me 3000 dollars even though my car hasn’t been touched by a technician has yet. My car came in for a scheduled appointment which was an oil change and I got it seven days later on top of him trying to scam me out of more money. When I finally got my car at the seven days they never washed it, it had dust all over it and Manuel never looked up at me or said anything nor greeted me. Another person checked my out. I will never go back to that dealership I don’t recommend this dealership to anyone. I had the worse and horrible experience my first time at a dealership with my first BMW. I don’t recommend it stay away from this dealership. Their customer service is the worse. I don’t want to give them any stars
