Visited for the first time today, arrived around 4:30 and was not greeted by Bennett, but informed that we had about 25 min to order and it had to be to go. Every question asked responses seemed to be very strained. She was NOT pleasant in anyway. Ordered two Daalo lattes and they were not only half filled, but luke warm. Requested to have them remade, which proved to be even more difficult. She responded that she would “try again”. So, decided to save her the trouble and requested a refund. Horrible experience and seriously doubt I will return again. Unfortunate, that this is who represents the establishment!

Lovely little tea and coffee shop with a very large selection of multiple types of teas. Staff was very welcoming and answered all our questions before we ordered. The Yemeni Coffee my sister ordered was fabulous (coffee from BW with cardamom and ginger added during brewing) and the Jade green tea I had was delicious and in line with the tasting notes from the menu. Highly recommended if you are a coffee or tea lover looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a drink or need something to go. I will definitely return when in the area next time.

Just what Durham needed! Jeddahs Tea offers a nice selection of loose leaf teas, coffee (did not try), and pastries in a central location. The cups are a pleasure to hold and the ambiance is simple and comfortable. Loved the color of the tiles at the bar and the selection of plants used as decoration. The almond praline pastry we had was very tasty - more like a coffee liqueur cake in the family of tiramisu, but tender and delicious and beautiful. Tip: keep your voice down. Like most places in Durham (high ceilings and a strange reluctance to invest in noise control), it echoes badly, and one loud guest can make it very unpleasant for everyone else.

Jeddahs tea is a cozy, beautiful spot to taste delectable and unique teas! A great place to meet up with friends, get some work done, or take a breather from your busy day. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and overall lovely. Highly recommend their Somali Shaah!

Very good tea of course. They have not too sweet lemonade for kids and a decent selection of scones/cakes. Theyve got coffee too but didnt try it.

Nice and cozy tea shop at downtown, while I love their coffee better than the tea! The hojicha latte was great! Hard to find hojicha at the RTP, good to have one here

Came here for the first time to get a pot of tea. I drink a lot of single origin, looseleaf tea. Its very difficult to find really good sit down tea places that do pots of tea with a robust selection. Jeddahs has that, with a very nice selection of teas (and coffee). I got a delicious Yellow tea from Yunnan province. Theyre great about resteeping the tea, giving you 2 resteeps. Its a little pricey overall, but they clearly source high quality tea and other ingredients, so its absolutely worth it. If I lived in the area Id be here all the time.

Great place with massive tea selection. Im glad to see that this little shop is doing well! Its small, but has an extraordinary amount of seating for the size of the place. Tea can be a bit pricey, and you dont know how much because there are no prices on the menu. There are also limited baked goods and coffee items for sale as well. Overall, its got a great atmosphere, tea that you cant normally find, and beautiful decor!

Great experience! Never knew there were so many different varieties of green tea. All of which the owner took the time to explain to me before making my selection. I have a few more to try. Definitely going back with my wife!

Located in downtown Durham, Jeddahs Tea is one of my favorite places. They have a large selection of quality teas. Any Pu-Erh lovers out there? Theyve got you covered. I also love the Haldi Doodh (Golden Milk) paste. I use it in two ways: the first honoring the traditional way to serve and the second to make a nicely spiced iced coffee. Give it a try and a splash of vanilla coconut creamer - it will not disappoint. They also did a great job being able to offer delivery or pickup of online orders during the pandemic. The CBD pre rolls and Medicine Mamas Farmacy CBD gummies are also a nice thing to be able to pickup during this time! Love it.

I enjoyed this cafe quite a bit.The coffee selection seemed quite nice. Im a tea drinker, and I really liked the selection they had. The baristas were very friendly and professional, even when they were slammed with customers. Its a chill spot.Definitely worth stopping in, if not to sit for a bit, then to at least grab a cup of something to-go--

Im really rooting for this place to do well; Durham needs a tea spot, and even better that its locally founded, with global roots. One small thing that rubbed me the wrong way: there are no prices on the menu. I get it, downtown is expensive and youve got to pay rent. But Id feel better about paying $10 for a coffee and an 8 oz tea latte if I could see the prices before ordering! I hope this is a soft opening/temporary measure while yall feel things out.

Really great vibe. Quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. Black female-owned, positioned in a great spot adjacent Zen Succulent and The Parlour, and fulfilling a unique need for true tea loving Durhamites - I cant wait to see all that Jeddahs becomes. Her future is bright!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jeddahs Tea. We were warmly welcomed when we entered the establishment. We were promptly greeted. My wife had the dragon tea and I had the hibiscus chamomile tea. Both were delicious and satisfying. Additionally, we had a slice of lemon cake which was moist and lightweight. It was scrumptious. The vibe at Jeddahs Tea is quite wonderful. It has a chill feeling to it and the background music is fantastic. Again, we felt genuinely welcomed and will be returning soon.

Exciting collection of teas in a really great location, but youll stick around for the people! I love that Durham can support a tea shop in the middle of downtown, and the people in it embody the spirit that makes that possible. Go get yourself some tea and have a chat!

Morgan went above and beyond with the online order I placed, getting it sent out quickly and making sure it was right! Everything I’ve had from Jeddah’s has been delicious and always high quality, and I love the atmosphere as well as the unique tea, concentrates, lattes, and other treats they have. Kind people and amazing service are the icing on the cake! Especially recommend the golden milk latte/concentrate, Daalo tea, and the lavender rooibos tea! ♥️
