I would 100% recommend JR Auto Repair. They are professional, timely, and super cost efficient. I went in for routine maintenance and asked them to do a few different things to my car that I had read about - and they actually told me I didnt need most of them and I should just save my money! I find them to be the most trustworthy and professional (and non price-gouging) mechanics around! They always call after a diagnosis before doing any repair to make sure its okay by you and that the price is good by you.Definitely wont go anywhere else from now on!

I cannot recommend JR highly enough. They are completely transparent with their pricing and explain what they are doing to your car and how it is connected to your final bill. My car always arrives back quickly and in great shape. There are never any surprises and I completely trust them with my car. Plus they are super friendly!

They are a fair shop. They are honest. My only caveat is you probably cannot leave a car for overnight drop off as the parking outside on the street requires public payment I believe until 8pm. JRs parking lot is gated, so once they close JRs gate, no parking is available at their facility. They do have a key drop they say. The entrance for customers is in the front of the building.

My Dodge Charger Wouldnt Start I Assumed It Was Due To A Bad Starter or Maybe Even The Alternator Because The Battery Practically New.. So I Call Around A Few Places N Found This Shop. Come To Find Out I Had Bad Spark Plugs And In Need Of A Coolant Flush. Long Story Short After A Day Or So JR Had My Car Running Again Like New.. Not Bad For Pricing Either, They Even Towed It To The Shop For Me..I Would Recommend Him For Sure !!

They were straight forward and very reasonably priced. I had to have my vehicle checked out after an accident and I was expecting the worst. Instead, I got a very fair estimate and an in-depth breakdown of what was wrong, what I needed get done vs. what could possibly wait, and what my options were moving forward. Ive been going to JR Auto for over two years now. Recently, I brought my car to a different local auto shop for my inspection, due to proximity to where I live, they quoted me about $1000 in work they thought my car needed. I brought it to JR Auto, and they were honest with me about what really needed to be done to my car, and on top of that-their prices were cheaper. Jorge, the owner, makes sure that you are only getting the work that needs to be done, he isnt out to make money on doing unnecessary work on your car. On top of that they are always fast, communicative, easy to work with, and do really quality work.

Easily the best auto shop in the downtown Durham area.I highly recommend JR Auto Repair. I have been there half a dozen times and always received honest and high quality service. The manager and staff are very knowledgeable and always friendly. A few weeks ago, I took in my Toyota 4-Runner because the back gate window would not go down. JR Auto Repair fixed the window in a very timely manner, as I needed the truck ASAP for a vacation. Theyve also done great work on our Jetta, just to give you a sense of the breadth of what they work with. Great job, JR!

Handled everything, on the phone, with ease. Towed my car from AAA for free and only charged me for the parts and labor. Labor was $273 which seems very expensive to me but they were cheaper than AAA who were trying to charge over $800 for the same job. Staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful; they stayed open late for me.

He is very fair in his assessment of any problems associated with my Honda Pilot, and the costs of repairs are reasonable and fair. In other words, Mr. Rodriguez is more interested in getting my car fixed correctly than any profits that he might make from servicing my automobile.Several months ago, he correctly diagnosed and fixed an a/c problem in my vehicle, and I could not be happier. To add to my elation, the total cost of the repair was very reasonable as well. I know this because I had tried to fix the a/c problem in Northern Virginia weeks earlier, and, despite paying a lot of money to that repair shop, they were unable to find and fix the problem. Suffice it to say that I will never visit that Virginia shop again.I wholeheartedly recommend JR Auto to anyone with vehicle repair needs, as you will leave very satisfied.

I had a very good experience here. They took me on short notice. They seemed very honest, helpful, and reasonably priced. They were able to solve my issues and get me back on the road in a very short amount of time. I would certainly bring my car back here the next time I have a problem.

Good work at a decent price. Very professional and I was in and out inside of an hour.Only downside is I could see them being intimidating if you dont know your car. You hand your keys to a guy on the phone in a very tiny office and then thats it. Almost 0 interaction.

George and Alfred treated me very fairly at my recent trip to Jr Auto. I had gotten a huge list of repairs and expensive quote from another place as I got my tires balanced and rotated. I was told that I need shocks, struts, etc. . I brought my Van (Honda Odyssey) to JR auto. George performed free diagnostics to make sure that I really needed the repairs. As it turns out I needed half the repairs that were recommended by the other place. He did point to an additional and important repair of front mount that was missed by the other place. I am very pleased with the service, price and quality of repair. The most important factor for me in addition to quality of work is ability to trust a repair ship, and I think this place has my trust. I will be bringing my other car and telling my friends about this place.

I got great service at JR Auto Repair. The brake lines failed on my 2000 Silverado and I had my truck towed to a different garage that gave me a giant estimate for replacement of almost my entire break system. I had my truck towed to JRs and I was very happy I did. Their price was much better than the other garages estimate. They got the work done in a couple of days. It was really fast for such a big repair. They are my first choice garage now.Excellent work!Thanks JR!

Im 63 & this is my 1st time to write a review because the circumstances are so extreme. JR Auto seems very competent, honest, & fair so I would like to be a customer in the future. I hesitate to take my business there again because of the exceptionally rude behavior of the gentleman in the office. I was trying to get my car inspected & apparently the laws are different here in NC than in my former state. When I was puzzled by the laws associated with getting an inspection (registration, timeliness, DMV procedures) the gentleman treated me more rudely than I have ever been treated. When I asked questions about what I needed to do, he gave non-informative one or two word answers & often indicated that I am stupid by exhaling loudly & then giving me a non-informative answer. Example: I asked if it was going to be OK for me to drive my car since apparently I cannot get it inspected for several months. Answer (delivered in an impatient, condescending tone), Drive it whenever you want. Ill probably try them one more time since they gave us good service for a previous issue, but if I encounter this kind of behavior again, Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

The only person who you can talk to is a young boy with zero social skills. My door handle fell off, he told me they would order the parts and I could get it repaired in two days. returned 3 days later, the part wasnt in and it was clear they had forgotten about my car immediately after I left. He said to return in 2 days. Came back a week later and it still was not in. The boy who works at the desk offered no apologies or explanation and almost seemed annoyed at me. Needless to say, I took my service elsewhere. Will never return. Horrible!

Ive been here for 2 hours waiting on the ONE person in the whole shop who can perform a diagnostic check and inspect my vehicle. The guy gets here and tells me he cant do a inspection today! The staff are not knowledgeable. I should have left when another customer complained about a mistake made on his vehicle! Dont come here.

SCAM ARTIST! I purchased a fuel pump, had my truck towed to them to get it installed. They installed it charged me 200 to installed and 40 to drill out two broken off screws. I paid it got my receipt but the thing is when I got my receipt it had no warranty on rhe pump so I knew eight then what kind of scam they had gioing on. Next day go to crank my car it is doing the samw thing so they did something to my pump, becaise I didnt purxhase it from them. Now they want to charge me another installation fee because my pump had a liferime warranty. They also purchased the parts from the same place I brought the pump. I encourage you to not take your car there, scam artist. I reported them to the BBB and I am taking them to court.
