My husband and I had the best experience at Johnson Volvo Cars in Durham. We actually bought a car sight unseen. We called and Ned Clark helped us. He had the perfect car for us. He spent lots of time taking a video of the car and answering all of our questions. He even had the car delivered to Charlotte by the nicest gentleman. They have called several times making sure I know all of the features and spending time going over the app and ALL of my questions. We have bought many many cars in the past but never had this kind of customer service and just nice people to work with. They made buying a car easy.

Just had a great experience with them. Saw a car we loved on Saturday and called them about it. We set up a test drive at my home for Monday and worked out all of the details for financing and purchase online. An hour after they showed up, I’d purchased the car and was done. Rod Blackwell was great to work with. I highly recommend him. He was organized, efficient and made it very easy for us. All in, I think it only took me two hours and change for the entire transaction. Amazed and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

I can not imagine a better place to buy a car and an organization more committed to customer satisfaction and care. I bought my car here 18 months ago at the start of the pandemic which turned out to be a great experience. I’ve had a few needs for car maintenance and service since then. Every single person I’ve dealt with has been amazing - reception, maintenance, sales. Johnson could start a side business helping other companies get their customer care in order.This is a top notch business and I can’t imagine buying any brand of car if it’s not through a Johnson dealer. We are very pleased with the service we get a Johnson Volvo. Steven Vega saw to us most recently and even greeted us outside before we walked in. He asked for a little background on the car we were dropping off for next-morning service and paid close attention to the issues we were describing. He was careful to ask clarifying questions and even followed up with a phone call later that evening to let us know what he thought it was after taking a closer look. He was quick to follow up the next day when all services were finished and went above and beyond and had our car delivered to our front door just because he knew how helpful that would be. Tyler Brown and Jason DArcy were phenomenal to work with-- communicating efficiently and even after normal business hours. The finance team was even able to beat my local credit union loan rates, which resulted in an even more positive scenario. As an out of state buyer, the crew had the car prepped and ready for me in an afternoons notice and took the time to teach me about the car and features that were less intuitive in nature.

Went to Johnson Volvo for the first time for an inspection. Was immediately impressed with how nice and easy it was to get in. As I pulled in an employee names Steven Vega greeted me. I have dealt with countless persons in the service industry and this guys was just different. The way he presented himself and his demeanor in welcoming me to his company was very impressive and comforting. He came across as this was not just his job but he believed in the company he represents. All of you are probably thinking this is someone who works for Johnson Volvo but I assure you this is not. I am in Law Enforcement and just want to give credit where credit is due. Because of Mr. Vega’s amazing personal service and the professional timely service ther Johnson Volvo gave me. They have a new customer and I will be returning. I even called my wife and the manager to let them know what an awesome experience i had at this location. Our daughter will be turning 16 next year and we will be calling Mr. Bega and Johnson Volvo first to hopefully find our daughter her first car. There has never been a more perfect experience at a car dealership than this one.

I live in the Greater Baltimore area and I purchased a car online with the help of Roderick Blackwell. The experience far exceeded my expectations. Roderick made the whole process very smooth and incredibly easy. Roderick responded to all my questions with complete honesty and thoroughness. His attention to detail and no pressure sales style completely put me ease throughout the entire process. We had a small setback regarding the delivery of the vehicle ( due to the Colonial Pipeline gasoline shortage). Roderick communicated my options (flying to Durham or waiting 3-5 days more for delivery ). He even offered his assistance with my ground transportation once I arrived in Durham. I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. That was by far, the best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle.

The service team at this dealership is phenomenal. The service manager Tony Holland is the best I have ever met. He treats customers as friends and he’s always patient, nice and friendly. He truly values customers’ experience. If you need any repair on the car, their “Mr. Volvo” is the perfect expert. I used to have alignment issues with my Volvo and went to some places and still cannot get it done perfectly. Fixing alignment really requires patience, experience and expertise from a technician. And I’m really sensitive to a poor alignment. However, their Mr. Volvo got it done on the first go and the car feels fantastic after having the perfect alignment again. Service advisor Steven Vega is also great. He is nice and friendly, just like a friend of mine. My recent service experience with him was perfect. I highly recommend this dealership if your Volvo needs any service or repair. They have good technicians and treats you like a friend and a family. They will have my business as long as I’m still in the triangle area!

He listened, asked questions and did his best to sell us exactly what we were looking for. (Not just any vehicle on the lot) The entire process was painless and the other staff was also very nice. Even in this crazy market, Johnson Volvo made my car buying experience stress-free and a breeze! When other luxury car dealers offered me much less for my car or were unresponsive for days at a time, Johnson offered me the value that I had been seeing online and ALWAYS kept me engaged. I purchased my car from another local volvo dealership and hated getting my car serviced at that location b/c the customer service was subpar and the wait was long. I recently realized that my service warranty could be applied at other volvo dealership service departments so I tried my luck at the Johnson Volvo in Durham. The customer service at this volvo service department is amaaazing. The service advisor was very friendly and despite needing a bit of work (brakes, tires), they got me in and out very quickly. I will continue to get my service at this dealership, even though it is a further drive from my house than the other local volvo dealership service dept.

Very unhappy with the service from this car dealership.This has been the worst experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. The finance department was no help with anything, I was the one to call them and confirm everything and that it was moving along. They sent me the papers to sign and of course they added in fees from what I agreed on. They charged 799.00 for administative fee. Then the vehicle is being sent to me but I couldnt choose who was going to transfer the car. It had to be their people and of course they charged double. Now the car has not been delivered and I have called the dealer several times for the transport companys name and nobody there knows it.How is this possible?Im the one paying for it but I wasnt given their information.I should of been able to choose who is shipping the vehicle its my vehicle ..Was just told that the car is another 1700 miles away. Now because they wanted to charge me more money for their delivery service (that was put in the loan) the car will take 15 days. The driver has gone 1000 miles in 9 days. I would of paid out of pocket half the cost they charged and had it delivered in 4.

I have had a great experience at Johnson Volvo buying a used car. Rod Blackwell has gone above and beyond to make us happy. I feel like part of the family and will have Rod help me with future car purchasing. He ordered new car mats and touched up the little dings visible from 2 years of use. Thank you Rod.Three months later I’ve had a problem with opening the door on the passenger side with my fob. I found out that the handle was not the correct handle for the car. I contacted Marcus and he immediately told me to come in and they fixed the car in about two hours. Then he had my car cleaned up to look brand new. Marcus definitely went the extra mile to help me. My wife and I had a great experience buying our first Johnson Volvo. Ive had a Volvo for over 12 years now, bought from a dealership out of state. Our new car is a CPO, but everyone treated us like it was a new car. One example, we asked if the car had weatherproof mats included with it, but found they werent included. After we had signed the paperwork, Luke came around the corner and said, Were sorry, the car didnt have them, but here are a set for you. He then handed is a brand new set of all weather mats. Then, as we were leaving, (I was going to put them in myself), a salesman Id not yet met came running over and said, it would be my pleasure to install these for you. Literally the fastest car buying experience. My car salesman was Connor and he was really pleasant and helped me anyway possible. He sent me a personalized video of the car that I was interested in and answered all my questions through text message if I had them. I was able to take my car home over the weekend and finish the process that following Monday. Tyler Brown is amazing. From the moment he picked up the phone to discuss my ever-changing whims and wants in a vehicle to the in-person test drives and price discussions, Tyler was top-notch. -Had an initial bad experience. It was so bad I wrote to Johnson Automotive management.-Their Manager reached out and asked me to give them another chance to earn my business.-I agreed and they finally let me see the car I actually wanted to buy. After talking with their sales manager, they are agreed to fix a bunch of stuff wrong with the car.-They called and asked us to come see it again. Car looked better (it was a lot cleaner) but still some other stuff needed to be fixed dents, scratches etc. They agreed and I plainly expressed my desire to buy the once it was all fixed as we agreed.-They called on a Monday and asked us to come see it that day. I said, we couldnt as my wife wasnt feeling good, we would come in a day or two.-They called the next day. They sold the car.At this point I wasnt even surprised by the news or upset with them.My only thought was, I knew it!I was more upset with myself for not listening to my gut about this place.My advice:If this place is on your list, dont expect too much or great customer service and you wont be disappointed.With this specific dealership, if you feel something isnt right, you are probably correct. Just get up and leave.If you are planning on buying a used car, please please make sure they fix everything. From other reviewers you will see they usually dont honor that and you end up with stuff not working or you will need to fix.

I typically despise car buying at a traditional dealer, due to the games that get played, and the long hours spent waiting to arrive at a good deal; so to be honest I was skeptical. However, the experience at Johnson Volvo has changed my mind. When I called to inquire about provisions to address the coronavirus in advance of scheduling service, the person at Weavers acted like it was a silly question. Was just there with my mother in law a week or two ago with her car. Had mediocre service. Difficult to schedule an appointment, scheduler couldnt give us information when first called, she said she had to have an advisor call back with information and pricing and that she didnt know, she didnt even take down the concerns correctly and apparently forgot we needed a loaner car so they were scrambling for a long time to get us something to drive. The advisor was not in touch with her throughout the entire service process at all!! She had no idea what was going on and had to call several times to try to get an update on vehicle. All around not impressed!! (Although, the techs were extremely knowledgeable and professional, and gave her and I helpful and detailed information, info that the advisor couldnt explain at all. The advisor even claimed to have no idea that something was done to her car, even though I found it myself, as it was clearly written out in the paperwork right in front of him, the older gentleman.) Also, very absent service manager the whole time too, & nobody seemed to know where he went, because I tried to speak with him as well at some point. This place is def nothing special.

This dealership truly cares about its customers, especially the service team! I feel comfortable and confident that the service performed on my vehicle will be done to the highest standards! I especially appreciate Scott Butler, as he has been the main service advisor Ive dealt with thus far, along with Rachel. I know my concerns are addressed when presented, and have only had a positive experience! I highly recommend this dealership for your Volvo service needs!

Great experience, spared us the typical car-buying angst, got the car I wanted and didn’t leave annoyed at skeevy sales pitches. My new best friend Reed was knowledgeable and friendly, and responded to my many questions with aplomb. After reading other reviews I’d say I’m not the only one. Definitely recommend.

Were able to get me the lowest price on an XC90 in the area (including Burlington and Cary) while being humble, kind, and professional. Accommodated a somewhat crazy, tight timeline without issues and yet never made us feel rushed. We enjoyed our service so much we may even use them when we live two states away in a few years, it would be worth it.

I had been looking for a new car since October, but was waiting to find the right one. I stopped by the new dealership on a whim to see a 2018 Honda Accord EX-L and ended up leaving in the car a couple hours later. Reed was very knowledgeable about the car and upfront when it came to getting financing, which I was worried about with the pandemic going on. The finance manager Jenny was also helpful when going through the paperwork and warranty options, making sure I understood every step of the process.Reed and the service manager Tony also went out of their way to make sure the tire pressure light that was on was quickly and properly addressed, even washing my car after the service. Tony answered questions I had about my car and how to set up a service relationship with a local Honda dealership.Im extremely happy with my car; its everything I wanted and more. And I couldnt have asked for a better purchasing process. The team at Johnson Volvo make sure their customers are taken care of and it definitely shows. If my family or friends are in the market for another car, I will definitely be recommending Johnson Volvo.

7/2021 Edit: Adding to my earlier review about excellent vehicle service, I wanted to note that I recently had an experience with the Sales team. They went above and beyond to show that they cared about me and my family. Brandy is a true rock star, and I found Connor and Travis to be very knowledgeable and helpful. They are truly people of integrity. // Thank you Steven Vega at the Johnson Volvo Service Department. My battery died, so I called over to the service department for assistance. Steven came out to my house 15 minutes later to jump my car and then took it over to the shop to make sure everything was ok. He swapped out the battery and brought my car back to me, washed and ready to go. All of this happened in about a 2 hour span. I am very grateful for the prompt, friendly, VIP treatment. Thank you Steven and Johnson Volvo!

My husband had his 2007 Volvo S60 serviced at Johnson Volvo earlier this year. The car had a persistent water leak into the car interior that no one was able to identify. These guys actually fixed the problem after bit of sleuthing. My husband says they didnt really charge him what it cost to fix the problem. Despite the extra time, they stuck to the original estimate. These guys are about solving the problem. Theyve gained a customer for life!

I highly recommend Johnson Volvo service. Tony and Scott are fantastic to work with. They resolved my issue completely and even provided a loaner vehicle when they realized it would take longer than originally anticipated. It was pouring down rain so the ability to drive directly into their indoor service area was a great touch. If you want to stay and wait, they have an area to work that has wifi, drinks, and snacks. This was my first time at Johnson Volvo service, but I will go there again for certain. Thanks so much Tony and Scott!

What got me interested in Johnson Volvo and the CX40 was hearing about the drawing on WUNC. Love that Johnson Volvo supports public radio. And as it turns out, when I looked up the CX40, I loved it! I reached out and was matched with Ned Clark, who turned out to be fantastic. So knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I test drove 3 cars over the course of 2 visits, and I had inquired about a couple more by phone/email that had already sold. Ned was always attentive to my questions and concerns. In fact, earlier today I had a follow up call to ensure all was going smoothly since Id taken my car home 3 days earlier. From the moment I walked in, it felt like a first-class experience--and trust me, Id been to several dealerships over the previous weeks before I considered a Volvo. Everyone I interacted with at Johnson Volvo--from the person who initially called to the receptionist, to the finance guy, to sales --everyone made customer service a high priority. I expect to have my CX40 forever, but if I do ever need another car, you know where Ill be shopping!

It was so delightful to purchase a car here. Reid was very informative and answered all my questions. Everyone there was more than helpful through the process. I do wish I would have had time to get set up with the Volvo on call while there though. It does seem to be very user friendly as I have yet to be able get set up.
