Car Medix KNOWS what theyre doing. This is my second time going to them and both times they fixed my car right! First time it was a VERY involved repair and there was one VERY minor problem- after the repair. THEY STOOD BEHIND THEIR WORK! They took the time and found the problem (much to their own expense) and corrected the problem. I was pleased. The ONLY reason that I didnt give 5 stars is because their prices match their work. They do great work - at a BIG price. BUT, you get what you pay for. I would recommend them to anyone; BUT get your money right FIRST.

Aaron Baker is Very professional, I received calls to update me on the engine work. Answered my questions about future work. I’m very happy with the work done. I had to drive a few hundred miles directly after the engine work and power steering work. My Jeep runs excellent! They have the best mechanics and the shop is so clean. The customer service from Aaron Baker is excellent. I would recommend Carmedix to everyone I know or anyone that needs any type of auto repair. Thank you for making my experience stress free.

10/10 would recommend! my first service at carmedix was to diagnose a “maintenance req’d” light that was on in my car, turns out my “new” 01 honda civic (new to me, old in general haha) had a corroded fuse box! Aaron and his team were able to quickly diagnose and quote the car for repairs, and subsequently let me know that trying to find a fuse box for an old car like mine would be difficult considering how covid has put a back order on, basically, everything. they let me know of a different route i could go of sourcing the part on my own and having them install it, which worked out perfectly! i sourced a “like new” fuse box off ebay (Seymour Auto Wrecking Inc/partshunter203 - they have all kinds of parts on there if you’re looking) and they were able to install it in less than an hour! they put the “new” fuse box in on 9/20/21 and it’s almost a month later and my cars been running perfectly! i am actually in their waiting area right now while having my oil changed here, i’d trust carmedix with all my car affairs now :)

Everyone was so nice! I love that they had an area for us business professionals. Im a realtor and needed to do some work. I was able to set my computer up without a hitch while I got my vehicle done. I think I loved that more than anything. That and a coffee station.

They provided great service for me at a reasonable price when I needed ignition coils installed on my BMW. I told them what I needed, and even though they suggested other services there was no pressure to get it done immediately. Fixed my problem swiftly. Highly recommend!

Do not go to this company their website has false advertisement first of all I called on the phone after viewing the marketing hook and reel. On the website they said free digital inspection it is not free you will pay $129.99 also on the website it says free loaner car the representative said after they have a car for 2 days then they try to get you a loaner car ( BUT NOT PROMISED) the third thing they said was free towing after youve been with them one time to get work repaired the next time is a towing service package that is offered to you with the warranty. So again the website is very misleading and theres always stipulations which i explained to the man should be written in fine print

They were the absolute BEST! I had a warranty on my vehicle and they did all the leg work and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Aaron was more than helpful! Blake and the crew at Carmedix in Durham were awesome! I called in on Wednesday evening telling them that I needed an oil change before taking a trip out of town on Friday and they were able to fit me the next morning. They were super busy when I got there for my appointment so I was super grateful that Blake was able to fit me into their schedule. They performed the services quickly and professionally. They didnt try to sell me on any extra services. They also disinfected all the areas where contact was made. Highly recommended! Theyll take great care of your vehicles!

They changed their quote 3 times. Twice while they had the car with them saying they forgot to tell me about this part.Work was great and would definitely use them again...but would get a clear cut final price pending any catastrophies before using them again.

Scheduled oil change + check engine light on ‘09 VW Rabbit …. they fixed the first fault (MAP sensor), but it triggered / revealed a secondary one … I was very impressed that there was no question that they would continue to work on it under the original bill until I was completely satisfied. Friendly service, but dishonest.They tried to upsell me on everything you can possibly upsell- air filters (cabin & engine @$224.25), brake replacements (with rotors @$781.31), brake system service(@$149.43), spark plugs (@$328.37)Change your air filters for $40 max and 5-10 minutes of work before going here and see if they do the same to you. I had changed my air filters shortly before coming in to this place to get an oil change(I should have done the oil change myself, but didnt have equipment on hand to do it safely).On top of all of that, when I went to drive after the oil change I had a tire with a screw in it that was not there before the service. They did patch the tire without issue.After this experience Im inclined to recommend avoiding them if at all possible.

After explaining to several shops, the issues I experienced with my AC, either the steps to diagnosis it was lengthy and costly or I was provided with suggestions without the mechanic even looking under the hood. Carmedix diagnostic pricing was very reasonable, professional customer service, and great scheduling for my convenience.

I had OReilly scan my check engine light and they came up with a sensor as the problem. I took my truck to these guys who said it was going to take a lot of labor days and to trouble shoot the problem was going to cost over 1700$. They said that they had a stack of papers about what needed to be done to troubleshoot the problem. I could tell that they didn’t want me reading it. But I started to read it: change engine oil, gaskets, antifreeze etc. when I started questioning them the guy got really defensive like he wanted me to leave. Change the engine oil to trouble shoot? And antifreeze?. Its a sensor! So I left. I YouTubed this problem, its just a cheap sensor that needs to be replaced. Just like the guy at Reilly said. This place is crooked. My truck is fine now. Im certain that they take advantage of people every day

Aaron and his team were amazing. I took my car in after some questionable experiences with another ship and they were able to pinpoint the issues and get my car back to normal! I appreciated how clear the process was...every repair was sent via a text with pics and a cost estimate. This is a fair and honest car repair shop to get repairs done. I had my rear hub and bearing parts replaced here. The job is done on time and perfectly done. This is the best car repair shop in this RTP Area. Definitely recommend it.

This is an extraordinary repair shop, not only due to their expertise in BMWs but their professionalism. They are the only shop I take my car to now. Just recently, my car would not start and I called them, they gave me a name and number for a tow truck and got me an Uber home. When the repair started they gave me a loaner car which makes this the perfect part of an expensive situation.

There is something to be said for a auto shop that is honest and fair even in the face of bad news. I recently brought my SUV in to get a diagnostic on my check engine light and inspection, after roughly an hour my fears were confirmed that more work needed to be completed. I was driving with severe strut damage and that became the new priority. It’s everyone’s worst fear to show up for a simple job and end up with massive repairs needed. The Carmedix team were sympathetic and understanding in my frustration. They thoroughly explained the needed repairs and made a plan with me to get the work done on my schedule. Moreover they prioritized my service everytime I brought back my vehicle. I originally rated 4 stars due to a miscommunication that ultimately led to additional repairs being needed. After further consideration I recognize I was partially to blame for this and even so, they covered the additional service at no expense. Ultimately car maintenance can be extremely frustrating and rarely does it go as planned. With an open mind I am rating a 5 for the excellent work on my car and transparency from the staff, from technicians to management. A special shout-out to Blake my advisor for his detail in explaining all the work that needed to get done. I have been taking my cars to Jay before he opened the first Carmedix and have always appreciated the importance he places on hiring truly professional team members. I will continue to take my car here in the future and recommend it to anyone that asked.

I have to give a shout out to the team at carmedix, specifically Blake, who handled my car services very well and professionally. I have been here twice now with major repairs necessary each time on my Mercedes GL450, and each time the customer service was impeccable, and explanation of repairs was transparent. Blake in particular was great in handling my check engine light, problem and when it came back on the next day, after I paid a sizable repair bill, he immediately went to work to assure the problem was corrected at no extra charge to me. I have a pending warranty issue, that he was very helpful in contacting the warranty dealer and discussing the needed repair with them. He negotiated a deal with them to have the repair done and I will be getting that taken care of soon. Bottomline I trust this team to do all my future repairs, and have recommended them to my friends.

I am understandably skeptical of car repair places, but I had a really good experience with Carmedix! They are very concerned with pleasing the customer. Had a check engine light come on right after they did their repair. I was worried they would make me pay for something else but they replaced an additional part for me at no cost because they thought they could have caused the problem. Really good experience!

I brought my 2006 BMW 325i here and they did a fabulous job diagnosing and fixing any issues I mentioned. They have a nifty online portal that made prices and repairs completely transparent between both parties which I really appreciate. They even took pictures of damage and concerns for the online portal. They made sure to call and update me as my car was worked on. The entire process was process was pain free. I do a fair bit of diy on my vehicle but Im considering just bringing it here from now on.

This is what I would expect from a modern mechanic shop! A GREAT experience. Finding a good mechanic is about the same as finding a good doctor. CarMedix is a keeper.The staff is polite and takes their time to answer questions, you get a text message with pictures of items they feel need your attention and there is a clean waiting area with WiFi and charging ports.The prices are not out there, oil changes are cheaper than most places, and simple jobs are comparable to other reputable shops.(I had a synthetic oil change done & the gasket on my oil pan replaced)

I received an ad in the mail and was a little skeptical about going here. In the past, I had always gone to dealerships for service but thought I would try something new. Looked at the reviews online and thought I would give CarMedix a try. Im glad I did! From the moment I walked into the shop, Jay (the owner) helped me right away. What I really liked about CarMedix, is that they will send you texts and links to view exactly what everything will cost and actual videos/pictures of the issues they see. I really liked that transparency and its the only place I know of that does this. Aaron (another employee) was also very helpful and was in constant communication. He was understanding of my work situation (I work nights) and was able to get me a loaner vehicle while my car was repaired. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking to get their car issues addressed. I will be coming back in the future.

Everyone has different experiences. Mine fortunately was beyond a 5 star rating. It’s been tough for me to find a mechanic since I’ve moved to North Carolina. (Im originally from NY). Since being here I’ve had prior experiences with 2 Auto shops. 1 being horrible overall & the other was just as great as Carmedix but charged dealership prices for their work. I called Carmedix on a whim early Monday to diagnose a CEL and possibly fix the problem on the spot. I went as a walk in and from beginning to end everyone was very friendly, transparent, & communicated everything from A-Z that they had checked and/or worked on with my vehicle. I was lucky enough to be taken car of by Jay who actually listened to what my thoughts/concerns were and not just did his own thing and came back throwing anything in the air to get the shop paid. I was escorted inside the shop and was shown what the issue was and given a detailed explanation as to why it is (or could be) and why something isn’t. None the less I got it all fixed for a very reasonable price, same day. I’m definitely making this shop my go to shop. Oh & I came to find out Jay was the owner. Knowing that he’s physically in his shop communicating with his customers and going into the shop to look over & communicate his mechanics work when he’s available gives piece of mind that he has a set vision. The owner of one I went to pretty much stood around and gave customers some attitude and really only called to get more money out of me.

I had an alternator replaced same day! It took them literally a few hours from the time the car was towed there until it was completed. They were very quick, professional, and accommodating! They definitely will be getting my service and my families service from here on out!

I took my 1998 Jeep Wrangler in because of some issues I inherited with the Jeep. Check engine light was on, I had a rattling from underneath and oil leaking from the top of the engine. They took it in and did a diagnostic review of the Jeep. They informed me of what my cause was, through a timely online estimate with photos. They gave me an estimated cost of what each repair would be if I decided to have them repair my vehicle. I was alerted through text or email everytime my Jeep would move another step through the repair process. Its good knowing whats going on with your vehicle without you having to reach out to the repair shop yourself.Its been a little over a week since I had the repairs completed and all of my concerns addressed. They have contacted my to see how the Jeep was doing since I took it in. It makes you feel like a valued customer and not just another one. Its also reassuraning to know that their work is backed by a 2 year / 24,000 mile warranty. I will definitely be back if and when I may have more issues with my Jeep. I have and will continue to recommend Carmedix.

My husband has previously used Carmedix for a repair and fell in love with Aaron and his shop. I needed an oil change and an inspection and I decided that this was the place that I wanted to go. Aaron and his staff are very professional and attentive. They sent me a link for the inspection details about my car before I arrived. Aaron then called me so we could go over the inspection to see if I wanted to proceed with any recommended maintenance. Will definetly be returning.

This was my first time taking my car here but they did a wonderful job. I prefer certain oil and filters to be used on my car however, they charged a great rate on the labor. I was then alerted to (and what I really appreciated was that the guys showed me themseleves) the condition of my front brakes and they then gave me options about brake change packages. I say that i really appreciated and respect that they physically showed me the condition of the brakes because Im pretty aware of or have done almost all basic car maintenance and minor repairs and knew my brakes were running out of time but didnt realize how close to needing replacement they were. So for him to show me instead of just telling me something, that may or may not have been true, like VARIOUS other shops, dealerships, and mechanics do, meant a lot to me because I knew they werent trying to trick me into buying a service I didnt truly need. So in short, I plan on returning for any other maintenance I may need; they did great and it was timely.

I had several repairs needed to get my Suburban back into traveling shape. Aaron and his team committed almost two whole days to several repairs. He was able to get me a discount on the parts and even used a coupon to help get my costs down. Aaron and his team care about their work and there customers. By the way I drove three hours one way to have them work on my vehicle.

It took an hour for my car to get a work up and it was 7:30am.

I regretfully took my car to Carmedix for a power steering rack and alignment on December 20, 2018. Do note all of their FAKE 5 star REVIEWS by 1 review profiles.On December 17 I contacted them via web form to reschedule my appointment form December 21, to December 20, as I told them I was going to Florida on a long trip on the 21st after work. One of the employees emailed back to say that was ok.Dec. 20, 2018 7:45amI drop off my 2007 Honda Civic for the rack and pinion replacement in which employee, Aaron Baker stated he thought they could do the job for $875 plus tax.Dec. 20, 2018 ~2:30pmI receive a phone call from Aaron Baker that my vehicle is ready for pick up.Dec. 20, 2018 ~4:50pmI arrive at Carmedix to pick up my vehicle which is parked outside.I’m told that the car may have some breaking in to do, and it’s normal for new steering racks. The work order states this and it states: “Customer is advised to drive the vehicle”. They skipped doing the alignment for some reason. Total cost paid $1048.Dec. 21, 2018I leave for my trip to Alabama and Florida during a company shutdown.Dec. 31, 2018While in Tampa, FL on New Years Eve right after breakfast at a Panera, I’m leaving the parking lot and pulling out of a space and as I turn the wheel, I hear a loud pop and my steering goes stiff. I inspect the underbody of the car and see a large puddle of power steering fluid on the ground. Hoses for the power steering system busted. The vehicle is towed to a Tuffy Auto Care 4 miles away. I’m supposed to be at work on January 2nd in Durham, NC.Jan. 2, 2018Tuffy Auto Care’s Brian Foxworthy contacts me and tells me that my vehicle doesn’t have a high-pressure hose which is required for the 1100+ PSI power steering fluid that flows through the power steering system and the steering rack. I’m also told that regular hoses and clamps are used to “jerry rig” the system. I’m told that the steering rack has a red shop rag installed where a hard rubber bushing is supposed to be. (See Photos) It is explained to me that whoever did my steering rack and pinion didn’t know what they were doing and were negligent. It is explained that I am lucky that the system didn’t fail while on the freeway where I could have been hurt or killed. Tuffy Auto Care installs the high-pressure hose that Carmedix removed from my car without telling me. Cost ~ $319.00.Carmedix owner emails me about the breakdown. He asks me to email him any receipts and invoices from the Florida breakdown - he “wants to make it right”. He tells me his “top mechanic” is the one who worked on my car - he’s “dumbfounded” by the work performed.The repair order from Carmedix fails to mention:-The high-pressure line was removed without my consent, or consultation.-The shop rag was installed instead of the rubber bushing without my consent or consultation.-The power steering system was not flushed which is standard procedure according to Honda when changing out a power steering rack.-The vehicle was returned in a dangerous state and not disclosed to the customer – customer was “advised to drive the vehicle”.-An alignment was paid for and not performed.During January the car breaks down again destroying a power steering pump. It is replaced under NAPA warranty. The rubber bushing Carmedix didn’t install, is now installed by reputable shop.Jan. 28,2019The vehicle is dropped off at my Honda dealer because it’s still not performing properly.It is determined that the system was not flushed by Carmedix, metal in the fluid destroys the entire system – Estimate to repair is $2864.00.Feb. 1, 2019TechNet refuses to cover the warranty due to Carmedix repair procedures.Nationwide, Carmedix insurance company refuses to cover the costs incurred – my total current damages are: $5523.00.I have covered the current repair costs of $1450 and the vehicle is finally working properly. If you are damaged by Carmedix – Contact the state and and reputable lawyer and leave fact filled reviews and photos online.

We used to bring both of our cars to this place, but definitely not anymore. Its unfortunate because we have been bringing our vehicles to this establishment for a few years, and I used to trust them. First off, anytime you want to get an oil change/tire rotation, the wait is over an hour (even if you have an appt). The main reason I am writing this review, though, is because they told us at different appointments that both of our cars needed a lower control arm replacement when in fact it did not need it. My husband reminded them that they had replaced it before, and then they took a look again and said that there was something else causing the control arm to have problems. We took it to another shop, and they told us that it wasnt true. They replaced the blend door actuator in one vehicle, and it broke again. We decided to bring it to a trusted friend who is also a mechanic, and he told us that it broke because they used cheap parts. There have been some other things to that were done at this place recently (including brakes), that also had some issues after we got the car back.

I’ll always take my vehicle to Carmedix! These folks do an EXCELLENT job, are very polite and professional, and are very upfront about pricing. Super good communication. Can’t recommend more highly

Ive taken my Hyundai to Carmedix for about a year now, and theyve always been pleasant, professional, and fast. I appreciate that they take the time to explain things, and offer me a schedule for when repairs needed to be done, if I couldnt afford them immediately. I recently had a repair done and a week later had a problem with it -- they saw me the very next morning and fixed it up with no charge. All around a good car shop!

As Yall know I am Very big on customer service. I am all for promoting businesses And giving them praise where praise is due.I try to make it a point to look to do as much research about a company before I use them for the first time.This company advertised very professionally including an offer of free loaner cars and unfortunately when I went in and inquired about it while our Cadillac gets serviced by them. They did not do as I expected.The way Aarron presented things to us Made my husband think They were trying to double talk and get over. And my Interpretation of this encounter was that we were unable to be trusted or WE couldnt utilise their Free loaner cars like we were less than or didnt measure up. I dont know if it was bc we rolled out of bed after just coming off vacation and didnt LOOK the part or what but As the owner/manager said he was leary. The whole experience was very upsetting. I have full coverage on my caddy and can get loaner cars I simply expected to do it all in one spot with the company that Advertised that option.Simply put in customer service the customer is always right so whether this was a misunderstanding or if me and my husbands interpretations of the experience were spot on... These ppl should have rectified the situation and made it a point to make us leave feeling better about their establishment. Im very grateful Aamco was right next door and we were able to get n and out of there in under 5 mins. They dont advertise aloaner car but I was made to feel like a respectable customer and thats what matters the most.

I had these guys install aftermarket shocks/struts, lowering springs and an adjustable panhard bar on my 2011 v6 mustang. I was a walk in and Aaron was great, very informative and nice guy. They were able to complete job same day and around the average cost with impeccable service. I will be returning here if needed. Posting this review a week after job and everything on car still great.

I’ve now been there twice and have had great customer service. Clean and pleasant waiting area, staff are always pleasant and helpful. He provided options on what was needed to get on the car on the road, and also costly options to fix that can prevent another trip in a few months. He texted me pictures of items that needed to be fixed that werent urgent but recommended if we dont want any issues besides routine maintenance. Overall, Im satisfied with the work that they did and would recommend this shop to anyone who needs quality and honest work done.

This was my first visit to Carmedix. Everyone I encountered was professional and kept me up to speed on how the work was going on my vehicle. The pricing was very competitive if not the best around and I was able to use a loaner car while my vehicle was being serviced. I have nothing but positive things to say and will return the next time any of my vehicles need servicing.

I had an emergency issue with my car and went to Carmedix as a walk-in. Within an hour they told me the issue with my car, and had a quote for me as well. Knowing that the issues my car had would take a few of hours to fix, Carmedix ordered me a Lyft to my hotel. My car was ready the next morning. Overall, the experience was pleasant and I would definitely recommend this shop for any issues you have!

Recently got new brakes and rotors for my BMW at Mr. Tire, they did a pretty good job but they were unable to get my brake light to go off. My dad recently got his air conditioning replaced at Carmedix and raved about the quality of service he received from the staff. I decided to take my BMW there to see if they would be able to assist me with getting my brake light to go off. I was literally in waiting room at Carmedix for 5 minutes before Aaron says your car is ready. Great customer service, highly intelligent staff and another satisfied customer. Highly recommend Carmedix!!

Had a starter go bad, Carmedix found the problem quickly and fixed it immediately. Outstanding considering I had first took the car to a large chain repair shop who told me they could not find anything wrong. To say these least I was on fire the next day when the car would not start. Thankfully Carmedix had no issue diagnosing the problem.

Went for a brake inspection. The inspection itself was free and they said I could get work on them but said I didn’t really need it.First time ever a shop has said I didn’t need work and I thought that was pretty honest.

The folks at Carmedix are great! They always take good care of my car, and they are honest/up front about what repairs and maintenance are urgent vs. which ones can be revisited. This is something I really value because I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with people trying to sell me things I can’t afford and don’t actually need. For example, I took my car in for a rush inspection at a Firestone in November, and they said my tires were wearing improperly and I needed to have my car aligned. I brought it to Carmedix instead and they confirmed that wasn’t necessary— the tires just needed to be rotated as part of routine maintenance.In the past when I had an old, junky car, they were always happy to work with me to keep my bills as low as possible while I looked for a new car to replace it.TL;DR: Jay and Aaron at Carmedix are honest and they’ll take good care of you and your car. Even though they’re only open business hours M-F, it’s worth it to rearrange your schedule for their high-quality work and customer service!

People here are genuinely trying to help you. With big repairs, theyll send me pictures of what is being done to keep me updated, and try their best to give me the most reasonable pricing. Im very glad to have them in the neighborhood. Its not easy to find a mechanic you can really trust and appreciate.Highly recommend.

Took my vehicle to Carmedix and they were very nice and understanding of my situation. Gave me a quote and were able to fix my car plus .ore repairs at no charge. They even finished my repairs days before originally scheduled.

I have had two very positive experiences here at Carmedix. Each time before any work was done I got a full and easy to understand list of suggested repairs and accurate estimates of the time and cost required. This most recent time there was a little miscommunication at first about the amount of work and cost involved to fix my vehicle. I was upset and skeptical but Aaron the owner called me personally and walked me through everything step by step and worked to get me the best price possible. On top of it all Sam made the inside of my car so clean you could barely believe it is used to shuttle two young children around. I highly recommend Carmedix for both big and small projects.

Carmedix was unable to fix a catalytic converter issue on my farm truck (Toyota Tundra). The problem was correctly diagnosed but was not repaired. I paid $1410 to have the truck fixed. A few days after getting it back, the check engine light turned on again. I bought it back to Carmedix. They reset the computer and assured me that everything was great. A couple days later, the light was back on. I was very concerned at this point and decided to take the truck to the Toyota dealership. They told me that the truck had an aftermarket converter installed and it was below threshold. The repair was poorly done and I paid the dealership $2690 to replace the entire exhaust assembly. I got the part back from the dealership and took it to Carmedix. The manager was very resistant to refunding the money I spent for the botched repair job and insisted that the part was bad and I was just unlucky. He said I should have taken the truck back to them to fix it and the warranty would have covered the second repair. He was willing to refund me the value of the part ($505) but refused to refund everything. I was very sketched out at this point and just took the check. His reaction honestly surprised me since a reputable business would have acknowledged that they failed to fix the issue and would have tried to make things right. To make a long story short, I lost $905 thanks to Carmedix, not counting the money spent on Uber rides and several stressful weeks worrying about car issues during a pandemic. Do not use this business.

First time at Carmedix and experience was great. Decided to look for a new auto mechanic because of a bad experience at the shop we went to for many years. Aaron was always very professional and helpful on the phone. Received regular updates from Aaron instead of me having to call him. The problem with my car not starting was diagnosed and repaired quickly and they found another issue of worn brake pads and rotors that my previous mechanic failed to identify. Shop was very clean and well-organized. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work.

Very friendly, easy to work with and professional. They replaced the bearings and hub assemblies and I was able to pick my car up later that night after hours which was nice.

I thought I had a bad starter motor in my Honda Civic that would turn over ut not start so I took it to Carmedix right before a holiday weekend. They diagnosed the problem as a bad battery and fixed it the same day saving me a more costly repair. They helped me out when most other shops were closed for the weekend. Friendly service people, good experience.

Great shop. I have not had any issues with their work, they are reasonably priced and honest. I have not had any issues or hassles with work needing to be redone. When I was involved in a car accident and the insurance companys repair shop said everything was fixed they helped explain why that wasnt correct so that the needed repairs could be covered by insurance. Started going because it was conveniently on my way to work. Now I go because its worth the trip from Apex.
