Did everything they could to get an elderly friends car inspected, they fit her in, did needed repairs and attempted to pass the car. But the car has set still too long. They advised to drive it a good 50 miles and it should be suitable for inspection. Hats off to GIA that was so complimentary Nd helped us !

Highly recommend AAA RTP for all car repairs. Ive taken all our family vehicles there for service including routine maintenance and check engine/repair items. All the professionals at AAA are great but, weve appreciated working with Gia because she provides excellent service and communicates with us specifically about costs and time for repair. I recommend this service facility to everyone I know in the area.

Went in for a state inspection as I had the year before. I thought I could trust AAA since I have been a member for years, however this time I was completely up charged. I don’t know much about cars but still believed they were not like other places that take advantage of people- I was wrong. I at least knew not to take their “advisor suggestion” about wiper blade replacement (had just been done) at exorbitant cost. When I later went to pay and tell them I would not be coming back because of my mistrust of their “advisors” they argued with me that it was my fault. They did nothing to make amends for their clear “poor advice” of what maintenance was actually needed. They lost a customer forever. I hope more people read this and will not be fooled as I was. Fool me once shame on you Triple AAA.

I always have seen that over the years in the proof of the quality of the vehicle repairs they have done in each of my vehicles . I have ALWAYS been satisfied with their level of performance. If I could give this review ZERO STARS I would.My daughter was driving. Very upset that we requested a tow truck & they sent a service truck. The tech said she needed a new alternator & then jump started the car. He then told my daughter she could drive it home. I called him right back & shared with him that I was concerned that the car would turn off on her while she was driving & thats exactly what happened. When the car stopped working WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING, the tech was still in the area & came back & jumped the car that was sitting in the middle of the road. Then he had my daughter drive into a plaza across from where the car died & he called a tow truck then. I am extremely disappointed & upset that this is how AAA decided to handle me requesting a tow truck.

When calling over the phone, I was given an estimate on price and time of 1hr. I was told the part needed would be ordered and delivered in time for my appointment.However, once I arrived and the employee I spoke to on the phone saw I was black, their entire demeanor changed. I was then asked if they could hold my car overnight and told me the time estimate over the phone did not matter. After explaining that I would not be able to leave my car, the service was only extended to an additional 30mins. I chose to wait and asked if the time estimate changes, please notify me.After an hour and half later, I asked for an update on the completion. I was then talked down to by the same person I have been speaking to all day. The time estimate was again extended to a vague “few hours or so” response. Then, I was told they did not even have the part they needed to complete the service.My car is sitting on a lift 2hrs later with no work done. I will NEVER give these people my business again. I am convinced my race is the only reason for the level of poor professionalism and blatant disrespect from this location.I do NOT recommend for people of color.The person that “helped” we was Gia Graniela. NOT AT ALL customer friendly or respectful to me once face to face. COMPLETELY different over the phone.

They even spent almost T H I R T Y minutes on the phone raking through my recommended diganostics and repairs to help me really itemize what I should get done today and what I should budget for. I am confident in the work. I am confident in my future work. This place is just amazing for someone like me. I really feel like they know what they are doing - my car was in the same condition when I picked it up on the interior - only driving much smoother!

The staff at this AAA offered to help me as soon as as I walked in the door. They were familiar with what they had to offer and when I told them what I wanted they readily got it together. They offered to make me a TripTik but I wasnt exactly sure of what my plans were. They told me that they could do it later when I knew more of what I wanted. Wow! It has been so many years since someone offered to make me a TripTik that I didnt know that AAA still made them. Kudos, Ladies. Job well done!

I have a lifetime warranty on AAA brake pads, and he refused to replace them unless I had rotors replaced, which is unneeded and expensive. I will never go back and Im telling everyone I know about it.

They were amazing. I would highly recommend this location. It was my first time bringing my car to AAA for a car service and they did not disappoint. Fairly quick service, given that it was a Saturday. They were also thorough in their explanation of what services were recommended, and gave me realistic answers about what needed to be done right away versus what could wait. I definitely do NOT recommend this location for a Vehicle Inspection. They might be good with other services but since my car only has 6,000 miles on it, it should have been an easy inspection, but it wasn’t. I had to come in 4 times and took off work 2 days, each time being told that I needed to drive the car 50 more miles because it’s not registering so I did this the 1st time and when I came back 2 days later I was told there are now 2 issues wrong with it. And again they told me to drive around and come back later. I did and now I was was told “back to only 1 problem, keep doing what you did and turn the car on and off and come back again. Never did they think of checking the battery in their $20 diagnostic handheld meter because after being treated like my time has no value. The technician had no clue of what he was doing. Obviously he didn’t know how to perform a Vehicle Inspection Or read the diagnostic equipment. I went to Jiffy Lube down the road and I was finished with my inspection in 30 mins. The only reason I came here is because I am a member & I thought of my loyalty 1st. I was wrong. I seriously doubt that I will ever trust them to work in my vehicle.If they can’t read the codes on the meter & tell me what needs to be repaired or replaced, which was NOTHING cause the car is new & passed inspection at Jiffy how can I trust them with a tire? It’ll probably fly off the car axle. Worst experience ever !!! I bet anything that it was the batteries on the meter.I must say, they did take the time to sanitize each time, 1 hr to make sure they were thorough.

Today, I was disgusted by the level of customer service that I received at AAA on HWY 55. #1: Staff listen to your customers. In fact, listen to learn not listen to respond! Im quite sure we can tell you what weve experienced with our vehicle. #2: Chill-Out with the Diagnostic jargon. Who wants to get their car serviced and youve mentioned several diagnostics starting at $99 and the only thing you have to do is refer to #1 mentioned above. Did you listen to my first request? #3 Multi-tasking that doesnt involve the customer that youre working with is disrespectful. As a new customer to AAA and visiting this location has left a lasting impression that its not about what the customers concerns are, rather than, how many diagnostics and specialists can I refer this customer to? Today, I didnt feel valued as a AAA consumer, I felt targeted for financial gain. AAA this is not cool. First impressions are lasting impressions.

They are very professional and courteous. There is a bit of gouging though. They will say they have to use a particular part which is usually 2 to 3 times what you can get it for. That aside I have had no issues with their work. I would recommend them with the aforementioned cautionary note.

I am a mechanic in question and hate to leave a negative comments because i know how demanding and difficult repairing an automobile can be sometimes, i cant work on my own vehicle right now due to a hectic schedule . However, if a bad job was done please admit it and take full responsibility. My car was towed in for a clutch job and you guys keep asking me to buy from one stuff to another also to repair a check engine light, which end up double the repair cost. After picking up the car the check engine light came back up 4 miles of driving and the clutch later went of at about 45 miles down the road. I had it towed back to your shop only for your customer service agent to start reading me quotes and company policy without verifying if it is a technician error. its quite unsatisfying if one can spend about $3000 on a used car without driving it. Hope you guys can better off your services.

Really very disappointed in the service I received from AAA in the past few days. As a gold membership holder, you would think I would at least receive some semblance of customer service.I made an appointment on Wednesday for Saturday and received a confirmation email, only to get another on Saturday morning saying that I cancelled my appointment (which I didnt). When I called, Rita answered the phone and said she didnt know what happened and that she would try to find out (after I mentioned I was a gold member with AAA). She put me on hold and then hung up on me. HORRIBLE service, especially for a paying member.I wont be going to this location ever again if I can help it.

Ive only done oil changes and inspections here but have had mostly good experiences. I came here after having a bad experience with a local dealership, and I found the people here to be more honest and helpful.I do think you should do a little bit of homework before you agree to any services. Since they work on so many makes and models, they dont always know whats best for your particular car.

This particular location gave me great service. As a woman its hard to know what my Van needs to keep it running smoothly. I drive my kids around in this van so its very important to me that whoever services my vehicle, gives me as much information as possible to keep it serviced properly. Jimmie and Andrew at the front counter are very knowledgeable and updated me with any additional work they saw I might need during my Oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. I definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for a company that will be honest with you about what your car needs. This afternoon, my car didnt start. AAA came and jump started it. I needed a new battery, and he didnt have the correct one with him. I drove as fast as I could to their location, since it was 45 minutes until closing time. I called on the way and Matt made sure that he had the right battery. He said that they would be able to put it in today. I got there, with 20 minutes until close. I went to waiting room. They were working on several cars, but they stayed late and made sure that I got a battery. I appreciate that they didnt mind that it was late on a Friday afternoon, with no complaints or rushing me. Thank you! Ill be back!

Excellent service at AAA today. There was an extremely rude and verbally abusive woman in line in front of me and I want to commend the front desk staff for how they handled the situation. This woman claimed to be unaware of the covid-19 restrictions that were clearly posted on the AAA website, the entrance door, and then again inside the building check-in area. She had already turned over her keys to the staff and then suddenly remembered that she had left her dog and purse in the car. The staff gave her back her keys immediately. Next, the woman became upset that the waiting area was closed and that she could not wait inside with her dog for the several hours it would take to work on her car. The staff told her that these restrictions are to protect people and yet the woman kept telling them that it is only two hours and that she needs to be somewhere she can sit down. Staff told her that they understand and are happy to order her a Lyft ride home and again later to get back to the shop when her car was ready. She refused the complimentary Lyft ride atleast three times in my presence, yet still complained about not having a ride. Nothing would satisfy this woman and yet the staff was continually gracious and understanding and kept their composure. I personally was on the verge of calling her an entitled b**** but I thought to myself Not today, Satan. Thank you to Gia for maintaining control of the situation and keeping it both professional and friendly. Gia was great, and I unfortunately did not get the name of the other staff member that was equally awesome, he was from JoCo and had reddish hair. AAA give them both a raise!!!!

I went in for an oil change and alignment. During the inspection, I was told I didnt need an alignment at this time. However, a belt was about to break and they showed me that prior to my giving them the go ahead to fix it. I was glad they caught it and I didnt mind waiting additional time for the repair to be done. I even get an my warranty doubled just for being a AAA member as well as a discount. I got all my questions answered and the final estimate was what I paid for at the end. I highly recommend AAA RTP - Durham.

This review is not for this specific location but rather AAA in general. Do not pay for roadside assistance if you plan on using it. We used it four times in a three year period and they said our use was above average and cancelled the membership. If you use your moneys worth they kick you out.

First-time car owner and they couldnt have made it easier/simpler. Cheaper than I was expected (although thats probably a state rate, but still). My friend did a pre-purchase full vehicle inspection; it was okay. I would say, their report is less detailed compared to Firestone. Sometimes it is the first experience for some buyers, so a more detail explanation would help them decide with confidence.

The vehicle was inoperable and the AAA towing folks suggested that the repair would be less expensive to let AAA do it. Wrong! Not only was it overpriced, but it was done incorrectly. Im about to to go back for the second time to try to get it fixed. Im tired of mechanics who deny responsibility for their own incompetence.

Brought my Infiniti there because of a check engine light; the diagnosis was a fuel system problem. AAA replaced both fuel sender units for a bill of over $900. A week later, the light came back on and they said Well, the sender units were bad so you must have a 2nd problem. I opted not to fix it. A few months later, the light went off by itself (the issue is an electrical connection in the instrument cluster) so I took it for State Inspection. I was failed for Inspection because the steering rack is leaking and must be replaced - cost estimate, $950 dollars. I told them but theres an oil leak at the valve cover, which is directly above the steering rack. Nope, they insisted the car fails and that I had to replace the steering rack. I declined and took it to another mechanic who said theres nothing wrong with the steering, youve got oil on it, which Ive wiped off. I vowed I was finished with this AAA location, but I needed an Inspection on my newish car, so I called them and said I need to do this over lunch break, and thus Id be waiting for the car to be finished. They gave me a 1pm appointment. At 2:25pm I noticed my car was parked in the same spot. They told me Oh, your car is next!. Forget that; Im done. Had enough. Ive had good luck with another AAA location, but not this one.

Was told that my 11 month old battery had a bad cell, produced only 9.05 volts and needed to be replaced, they even gave me the results from their battery test to confirm.It was a LIE. I took my car to 3 other independent shops for 3 more battery tests. Each result was the same thing, my battery was fine, was 100% charged and produced 12.7 volts.Wonder if their is a connection between the fact that they sell batteries and the results they assigned to my battery.

Staff was very friendly and informative. I was a walk-in with several car repairs. I left the shop to do other stuff. They called with a quote 45 minutes after I left. The AAA driver was really a nice person and knew what he was doing. I was stuck at a nearby motel with a bad starter, so he towed it to this AAA Car Care Center. Although I came in on a Friday late in the morning, maybe 11:30am or so, I waited for a very reasonable time in their wi-fi friendly guest area and here I am, a week later, with no problems since they put the new starter in. I had researched on line while I waited, and did think the parts price was a bit high, but they told me that they use quality parts and did not want to go cheap. Thats OK with me, since really, I believe people are simply looking for good service more than anything. I would use them again.

AAA Car Care has been competent in diagnosing and repairing my cars problems. Pricing is a bit higher than the other national firms. I find NO advantage to being a AAA member - internet coupons pretty much get you the same discounts. Their service advisers are courteous and polite but their recommended services and pricing is always questionable and often inappropriate. For example, my vehicle is 14 yrs old. So why should I buy lifetime guaranteed brake pads for $440 when a $305 package has a two year warranty? If you complain, the service managers are quick to call with apologies and concessions. I just find it discouraging to have to go though this dance.

Went here for an alignment on a 94 Integra. Initially they were helpful. They were able to locate a leaky rotor seal and engine plug and helped generate some paperwork I needed. Had some work done on the rear (new bushings) and came back for the alignment. When I got the car back one of the wheels was off camber alignment by 1 degree. They said dont worry about it initially but when I looked into it I found out this was a serious problem. Then they agreed saying that it would cause me to go through one tire per year due to improper wear and said the car had frame damage. I called a frame shop who referred me to Walkers garage in Durham who check it and redid the alignment adjusting the upper camber kit and was able to perfectly align it. The mechanic apparently had not installed the camber kit exactly right so it needed a tweak. There was no frame damage whatsoever. I went back and demanded a refund for the alignment fix and they refused so I had to dispute the charge. They also wanted to sell me a tire where they could have just reversed the tire on a rotation to see if it would improve. Left an oil puddle on my floor mat. Manager called me about negative review, refunded money and asked me to delete review. Didnt seem very enthusiastic about preventing future problems.

Dont bother making an appointment here - they have a separate call center that books appointments but the actual shop is either never told about them or they just ignore them completely. After booking an appointment for a certain time and being told multiple times that my minor service would definitely be done within a certain timeframe, I get to the shop and am told they wont even be ready to start on my car until AFTER my entire 2-hour timeframe. When I mention that the person I booked the appointment with said otherwise, the response was Oh, that was just the call center you spoke with, nothing to do with us. Whether it was the call center to blame or this location, the lesson was simple: dont go to AAA for car service (their roadside assistance is still good).

Call ahead make sure their schedule is clear. Drop off car. Get courtesy ride to work/home. Get status updates during the day; approve or not any additional work. Get picked up or get dropped off. Pay for work. Get keys. Go home. A very simple recipe that works over and over and over again. Polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Why wouldnt I go back again and again.

Came in to have my brakes changed because Jiffy Lube told me they needed to be swapped out. Luckily, I don’t trust Jiffy Lube to do anything more complicated than an oil change. Came into AAA at RTP fully prepared to swap out my brakes. The techs could’ve just pulled them off and swapped em’ - instead, they informed me there was plenty of life left on my pads.I always look for a company I can trust when working on my car. AAA at RTP has earned a new customer.

Took my car here to get my air conditioner fixed. They fixed it that same day. And they also gave me a ride to and from my house while they fixed it. It was a great experience.

Manager is not reliable. Of course I am a woman and knew nothing about mechanical work. He told me it was an electrical problem and my mechanic came next day and requested battery jump and car started immediately and no problem since I changed battery. Will not go there again.

Awful experience, clearly could not figure out the source of the noise Coming from under my car. Would have been fine with that but instead of telling me they didnt know they told me I needed a $900 drive shaft. Scheduled the appointment and went home, upon further investigation turns out that my 4wd hadnt disengaged fully and was the source of the noise, drive shaft was fine. These people are crooks the same as any other mechanic, DO NOT LET THE AAA BRAND FOOL YOU!
