I have to admit that I did not have the highest expectations before coming in the office, but they definitely prove me that I was wrong. If someone where to ask me who my favorite super hero was my entire life up until yesterday,I would have told them Wonder Woman from the DC comic books; but as of today, that answer has changed. The moment I walked into LensCrafters on this brisk perfect fall afternoon, and approached Cheryl for an adjustment on my favorite glasses, she single handedly hand crafted with her bare hands, an even better pair of glasses than I had walked in with. So to answer the original question of who my favorite super hero is if you were to ask me today, Id have to say Cheryl, because she saved my day. Thanks Cheryl, because of you, I was able to leave your store and bask in the glory of this beautiful day.

I visited this location for the first time a month ago and had an eye exam at the doctors office in the back. All staff were extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. They ensured everyone adhered to the current health guidelines in place while maintaining a pleasant and shoppable atmosphere. I ordered glasses that day and was told they would be ready within 7-14 days. Since that time, Ive remained patient but its been a month and I still dont have my glasses. Staff on the phone have offered several different excuses as to why the glasses have not yet arrived. I have been told they would be ready on specific days, multiple times, only to call before driving there to learn over the phone that they arent there on those days as promised. Several different stories have been provided to me at this point, which just makes things worse. Its been exactly one month since I paid, and still no glasses. It wouldnt even be as frustrating had I not been told all of the excuses or various dates that they would for sure arrive, only to learn that none of it was true. I really liked this place and the staff when I was there in person but at this point, I wont be using them again going forward. In fact, Im planning to visit to request a refund and take my business elsewhere as Ive been wearing old broken glasses glued together now for over a month and I really cant risk waiting any longer. Had they been truthful from the beginning that my glasses were lost and had to be remade, I wouldnt be nearly as aggravated, but the promises and story telling have really gotten to me at this point and its just not acceptable. As mentioned initially, the place is clean and staff are nice and helpful for the most part on initial visit, so I cant give fault this place beyond the actual issue having with delivery (which is a big deal and is the only reason for going there at all...) Hopefully my unfortunate experience is not the norm.

I came to the store with my son who’s glasses came apart losing the screw. Two of the representatives try to help but the frame was kind of bend, they tried for about 15 to 20 minutes until they finally got my sons glasses fix, they also made it tighter for him assuring they did not come off his head. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and most of all they did not charge a penny to my son for fixing his glasses, thank you all for your kindness and for your help. You just made a new customer for sure.

I received a printout of the exact amount and everything I have placed in my glasses, such things like Transition and etc… I received a call a week later from them saying that one of the items they will refund me due to it not being available anymore. They did not refund me the full amount for the item and gave me the run around even after I gave them the breakdown of everything that I paid for within my glasses. Long story short keep your receipts and breakdown of what you pay for because they will do everything to keep your money, Definitely don’t recommend them and will never use LensCrafters again . The manager did not care or actively listen to my concerns as I am positive I am owed additional refunds.

Worse eye experience ever for glasses! I have gone to this location twice and each experience is horrible! Picking out glasses is an all-day event. There are never enough staff and you have to wait forever for assistance! I spent a lot of money on designer frames, only to have the coating come off of the lenses within a years time and be told that there was nothing that could be done! I made the mistake of going back this year to get frames and after not seeing any frames that I liked, I decided to just keep the frames that I had and get new lenses. It has been nearly three weeks and still no word on my lenses! I called seven times this morning to check the status of my frames and I had to call three times before anyone answered the phone. When someone finally did answer the phone, I was left on hold for ten minutes after which time, I hung up. I called back four more times and the phone rang until it disconnected. This will be my last horrible experience going to any LenseCrafters location. It is not worth the stress and horrible customer service!

I had the worst experience with this location (Douglasville, Ga) (Arbor Place Mall). The wrong specs were sent to the Lab. Advised priority/rush on top of others. I phoned and they said 7 days wait. Totally unacceptable. Needless to say I requested a refund. My advice is to go elsewhere.

Spent $650 on a pair of Oakley Prescription Sunglasses in January 2021. The rubber grommets that hold the glasses on your nose came off and were lost. I went to Arbor Place Mall location to get new ones. They had none in stock. I offered to pay for them if they would order them for me. I was told I would have to buy new glasses to get grommets. Avoid the sales side at all costs. The Dr on the optometry side is great but trying to get glasses has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. JALYNN is the most disrespectful employee at any store I have ever visited. The first pair took around a week to arrive, lenses were perfect but frames needed slight tightening. JALYNN came back with them and both lenses had obvious circular scratches from the device he used to make the adjustment. He claimed he couldnt see them at all and reluctantly placed an order for replacements.Pair #2 took around 2 weeks to arrive. When I went in to pick up, they were extremely busy, so I checked the lenses for defects and left. I stopped back by for adjustment today and this 🀑 DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. Scratched an $800 pair of glasses and then pretended he didnt do it, and said they may have already been there. Adamantly stated it is impossible for the device to cause scratches. Getting a refund and I will NEVER step foot in a Lenscrafters again.

Worst location, I normally have no issues with the eye glass side, but the contact lenses side with the doctors have the worst customer service ever, I would give them ZERO stars. I placed an order on 4/5/21, still do not have my complete order! My order was lost in the mail, they never give me the option to have them delivered to the store, as I always do. The owner never called me back, they keep giving me the run around, I have called TWICE been to the store THREE times, it’s just very very unprofessional. They refused to give me a refund yet I don’t even have my full order which I paid for, yet it is 5/24/21 almost 2 months later. They need to be closed down.

You need to give this location more staff. I called yesterday to find out if I could drop my frames off to get lens replaced. Hold for 12 mins. I live 30 mins away so I was halfway there by the time they answered my question. There was ONE person working. (I was told before the frame/lens person was there everyday but I was calling to make sure) I left them and called today at 12 to see what time they would be ready. On hold for 21 mins! Called back and was told someone would call me back. At 3 I called back and was on hold for. 20 plus mins. I was asked how long it would be before I got there and I said 15 mins. She said okay they are in the frame makers hands now. I get there and wait 45 mins! I explained she could have told me it would take an hour and I would wait; she could have told me that they would be done at 7 or tomorrow. I missed 1 hour of work to go sit. And ontop of all that she’s wearing bedroom slippers? Get more staff, answer the phone and let the customer ask their question instead of waiting on hold for 21 mins to ask if their frame maker was there today! If it’s a question that will take awhile THEN place them on hold. Who has time to wait on hold for 30mins??? Then hang up because their break is over??!

Today I brought my mother to Lenscrafters for an eye exam and to get glasses. She had an appointment for 1:00. We arrived at 12:30 and she went to wait in the exam waiting area. An employee asked for her ID, which she had to place in a Lysol wipe. The woman then took her to a different room which had files and a sink. The employee followed her in there and counted to twenty while she washed her hands. She returned to the waiting area. Around five minutes after 1 an African American lady came in and without giving ID or being escorted to wash her hands, was immediately taken back to the actual exam. My mom said I have an appointment for 1oclock. She was told that they would get to her in awhile. The African American lady could have been a regular customer and known the employees but it really looks to us like discrimination for having the wrong skin color. I dont treat anyone differently because of the way they look. Apparently in todays society it is perfectly acceptable to discriminate against white people. I had stepped out for a moment and when I came back, at fifteen minutes past 1 to check on the progress, she told me what happened and I told her she didnt deserve this. We left and will never be going to another Lenscrafters again.

So Let me start off by saying that Dr. Hickman-Nicholson was AMAZING! She was very thorough With my exam. She explained EVERYTHING l, things that no one had ever explained as long as I’ve been wearing glasses and I Greatly Appreciate her for that! But my experience going to pick up my glasses on yesterday was a complete different. I first gave them a courtesy call to check the status of my glasses. To be told that it’s promised for Saturday pick up but she can’t Guarantee that day due to COVID-19 which I definitely understand. So She said it looks like it’s shipped to whoever or wherever but it has to now be shipped to them and that will take an additional day or two once they receive it. For me to get a voicemail about 3hrs later saying your glasses are ready. OkI go to pick up glasses and customer service was a complete 360 from my first visit. She was very Nonchalant, her TonΓ© was like it’s 6:30ish and I’m ready to go. I mentioned that I saw glasses that I liked that I didn’t see during my visit. No conversation at all!. I also mentioned that the glasses felt a bit uncomfortable but again nothing. I work in customer service and I felt as if the young lady that assisted me should not be dealing with people if she can’t smile or make your customers feel important. I don’t like my frames and I really wanted to give her the ULITMATE business but I didn’t due to me wanting to handle the situation differently. I am disappointed with the negative reviews. I found Dr. Hickman to be professional, thorough and very pleasant. She daignosed me with cataracts and even recommended a surgeon plus she offered to send all of her exam notes to my insurance provider. I have been a customer of this location for many years. Java has excellent customer service skills and is extremely knowledgeable. She takes the time to make sure you are pleased with your eyeglass selection.

I called to get my PD. First I was told I needed to see the Optometrist. I explained I have a prescription, but, the PD was not on the prescription; and, when I got my last pair of glasses, the PD was done at that time. She put me on hold, and, no one ever picked up. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Their service, or, should I say, lack of service is the reason I have not gone back to them for an eye exam. The Optometrist’s are good, but, the staff needs training on customer service.

I will start with the positive. The glasses were fine once I got them. It ends there. My wife and I went in with an updated prescription to get her a new pair of glasses and myself an new set of lens. It took us three hours. We an hour to be helped and that was the easy part. Hers went fine as far as getting them ordered once they spent 20 minutes figuring out the frame price since it had no tag on the frame. Mine was a whole other situation. Now keep in mind I had a set of frames I had got there a year and a half earlier. My prescription was only slightly different then the one before and they even had it on file from when I got that pair. They told me it wouldnt work in the frames I have because they are to small for progressive . I explained they werent to small before. They told me it is because they send them out now and the new lab couldnt do it and if they did before they had cheated me out of some of my reading area. I said fine i will pick another pair of frames but want a credit since I had been cheated before and now need to pay for new frames to replace the ones they cheated me with. She (the manager) said it wasnt her that did i . I told her she is the company past and present while she working there. She laughed and said there was nothing she could do. Long story short I ended up with having to buy new frames.Went back a week later to pick them up. Early on a saturday morning. Only two people working. Waited another hour with no acknowledgement from the staff before we got so mad we interrupted a couple trying to order theirs and asked the employee if anyone was handling pick ups. She not really but here Ill get them. She then handed me the glasses and have a good day. Now still need to go back and get them adjusted because they dont fit right. Not looking forward to this.My advice and recommendation is GET LASIK.

Do not waste your time or money here. I wish I had read the reviews 1st. I paid over $500 for my glasses here. After 2 months my anti scratch lenses were scratched so bad I could not see through them. Went back and was told it would be 495 to replace the lenses. DO NOT GO HERE! Even Walmart offers a 1 year warranty. These people are crooks!

I just called and made an appointment, but the receptionist was not pleasant at all! She was talking very fast and speaking low so I had to keep asking her to repeat herself, I even told her I was having a hard time understanding her. Apparently I was annoying her because her customer service was terrible! I came online to read their reviews and Im not the only person who have experienced this. Needless to say I will never get the opportunity to see how great the doctor is because I dont spend my money where I am not treated kindly. I got my daughters glasses here. We used the doc that is located inside this LensCrafters and she was great. A very nice young lady assisted us in selecting the frames. She was not pushy and let us take our time, but also let us know she was there if we had any questions. My daughter tried on at least 100 different frames before making her decision. We came back in about 2 hours and they were ready! A young man helped with adjusting them to her liking. In my opinion we couldnt have ask for better service.

Customer service was okay. Nothing that would make me not want to come back but nothing that makes me happy to speak with them. For someone who is experiencing having contacts for the very first time the doctor did not do well with helping and explaining how to put them in and remove them. When it took more than two tries for her to put the contact in she started getting irritated. He never got the chance to practice putting in the contacts and wasn’t able to take them out in his own. It took over 2 hours for our visit because of this. We ended up having to go to Bremen Eye Clinic where the doctor was very pleasant and helped us with no charge. Terrible customer service when I went to pick up my frames ... came in to check pass my pick up date and was informed they in a box and she will get to them when she can ... Lisa the supervisor was very nasty about it ! To be paying that amount of money and during these times ... I would not recommend this place for service !!!! Read your rating ! NO WAY am I going back to this store! These employees are such liars! I told them several times we (my siblings, mother and I) had registered with them; they looked up my information and acted like I had NOT been to this store before. Probably they didn’t realize they forgot to save my information and had my prescription. The last time I have been here was over a year ago. LensCrafters, if you are reading this comment, you definitely have the worst customer service in this mall and this will be my last time coming into this store.

Optician side was great, the service side was pathetic at best. Sorry service, lousy guest interaction, overpriced, and the call back never happened, then when you call youre put on perma hold. This location used to be top notch, how sad to see it reduced to its current standards.

Worst experiences ever! First, my husband and I waited almost 2 hours past his appointment time just for them to call back people that got there after us and late for their appointments (we were early for ours!). Had to leave and reschedule. Second time, we were on time and they STILL took over an hour past the appointment time to even call us! Then when calling up there, the staff was INCREDIBLY short, rude, and cut me off mid-sentence. I give you professional courtesy, I expect the same. Will NOT be going back there again! Dont waste your time and money here!

I want to preface this by saying I have worn glasses and contacts for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience nor written an online review of any kind. The LensCrafters at Arbor Place Mall has changed that with their lack of professionalism and poor customer service. I should’ve read the reviews first before going there in January 2019.From start to finish the whole experience was a terrible one. The initial red flag was upon checking in when I observed one of the receptionists having a heated argument with a patient who she claimed was sneaking pictures of her, when the man was only taking selfies to see how his glasses looked on him. It made everyone in the office uncomfortable to the point Dr. Hickman came into the reception area to make sure everything was handled. My exam was just fine, no problems there. After the exam I went to pay; β€œBetty,” the receptionist, didn’t make eye contact as she spoke to me, just looked at her computer screen. I was told I’d receive a call within 2 weeks when my contacts would arrive to pick them up from the office. I thanked her and went to pick out my glasses.I gave my EyeMed vision insurance card to the employee who assisted me with my glasses. On the paperwork I was to have thin, single vision glasses with scratch resistance and blueIQ. What I later found was that instead of my insurance being billed as EyeMed, it said Dearborn National. I paid over $300 in addition to whatever insurance covered. It has been a mere 5 months since my visit and the lenses coating has flaked off to the point it looks like my glasses are years old!And let’s not forget about the contact lenses. I waited an extra week past when I was supposed to get a call about them. I spoke with β€œSherry” who told me she had no tracking information for the contacts and had no idea of when they’d arrive. I asked if I’d still need to come to the office or if they’d be shipped to my home address, to which she rudely asked if I β€œpaid for that” option. I waited another three weeks (a total of a month and a half past my original eye exam) without a word from the office before I disputed the charge with my credit card company, as I hadn’t received the items I had paid for and no longer wanted them. After another couple of weeks (two and a half months total had elapsed) I received a copy of the investigation report from my credit card company where the eye doctor admitted I never received the contacts and that they’d agree to only charge me for the eye exam. The dispute was settled and I received a refund for items not rendered.With the settled dispute behind me, I thought that was the end of my ordeal until THREE MONTHS after my appointment, the contacts were delivered to my house with a tracking number (which they told me months prior they didn’t have when I asked for it). My credit card company then informed me that THEY had disputed MY claim because I had received the contacts, even after I told them I no longer wanted them. To this day I honestly wonder if I would have even received those contacts had I not filed a dispute against this Arbor Place Mall location and launched an investigation.I reluctantly repaid the fee for the contacts and had not thought about LensCrafters Arbor Place since then .. until today when I found the written prescription I received from my appointment. I needed to provide my prescription info before I could buy a new pair of glasses from an online boutique to replace the shoddy ones LensCrafters gave me.Like I said earlier, I have never left an online review of any sort before, but I want to warn others of my experience so it doesn’t happen to them. My next scheduled eye exam will be far away from this place.

Who ever the lady is that left at 8:30 on 8/16 was the rudest ever! I got a call at 6:30 my son’s Glasses were ready for pick up, I call at 8:10 to confirm, and this lady told me no that they haven’t unpacked yet. Me confused now because I was called to pick them up. I tell the lady this and so I ask her to track them, because I know they can, they have done it before, well apparently their internet is down and I will have call back tomorrow, she then hung up on me! So I show up at 8:35, of course she’s gone for the day, and the nice gentleman working their did have them, they right upfront ready for pickup, yay! Not sure what that lady was doing to keep me on hold 10 minutes! But I did tell him how rude that lady was and her manager needs to take care of it! She’s ruining their customer service!!!! I’ve been going there for 4 years, I’m going to start looking else where! I should note the doctor’s side was great.

Not very customer service friendly. I went pretty late in the evening, as I already had my prescription in hand and was just looking to purchase a 2nd pair of glasses for myself. There were no other customers. The guy that helped me was a new employee. He told me this after he said out loud, in my face, oh damn! when he saw how strong my prescription was as he was entering it in the computer. That was VERY RUDE. He commented that hed never seen a prescription that high, but that hed only been working there about a week. He also didnt give me an options as far as pricing (ie, least expensive to most expensive options for lenses). He just went straight for the gusto with the most expensive options. I had to tell him to give me more options. Ive been wearing glasses 40 years, so I know theres more than just a one and done type of option for lenses. I will continue to use Lenscrafters, but I doubt Ill return to this store in the future to get my glasses.

Lessons on how to be courteous, kind, & helpful to consumers is needed for Lens Crafters employees @ Arbor Place. A NEW onsite manager is needed to make sure everyone who walks in is greeted & assisted. There are a lot of consumers wanting to spend their money on frames as evident by the number of people in the store. But the absence of professionalism by the employees on Saturday to the consumers is very sad. There is no need to speak to customers with an attitude and being sarcastic. Why am I made to feel like I’m being a bother to the staff. A NEW manager is needed to oversee & direct customer assistance to each person arriving. AND have a backbone to an employee who is being unprofessional to customers & stop them.A very large sign as well as communication need to go forth to inform consumers onsite glasses are no longer available. That was a huge surprise after waiting for assistance & being told after sitting to calculate the cost that digital offsite glasses will arrive in a week.

LensCrafters is the worst place to get an eye exam done. I received a call immediately setting my appointment and they confirmed they had all my insurance information on file. I go in for my appointment, on time at 4:15, and they claim they need my insurance information. Then they say they cannot pull up my information. After an hr and half later, they claim to finally find me in the system.

Very distracted staff. Seems not to be customer-focused. No real sense of style or interest in helping to find a frame that looks good on a persons face. You pretty much have to look around for yourself and then wait for assistance w/purchase/fittings.I was told my grandsons glasses would be ready at 7PM that evening, that they would call me when they were. I returned the next day to get them and the surprised salesman asked why I didnt pick them up the same night. I informed him I was not called to pick them up. He said I should have come anyway.When I came to pick up mine, I requested the thinnest/lightweight lenses available (very expensive) what I received was a thick lense that I could get anywhere and for a much lesser price.
