We thought this was strictly a dessert place but turns out they offer Hong Kong cuisine. We really liked the Cantonese style beef chow fun. It has that distinct burn smell that adds to the flavor. The fried pork chop curry was surprisingly very good. The curry was served on a separate bowl and the pork chop was deep fried, served on a rice platter similar to the korean Donkatsu dish. The curry had potatoes. The diced steak in black pepper jus was not what we expected. Would not recommend it.

I thought the workers were busy in the back but turns out the cashier was talking with a friend at a table for over 10 min. We thought they were just customers at first. We don’t require 5 star customer service but no one should settle for lack of decency and common sense.

AMAZING place! Not only the ice cream dessert was LIFE they have yummy food! I went here as a date night with the hubby was Friday and I came to work this morning thinking and day dreaming about this place so I went here for lunch/take-out today!Lol! Let some of my friends at work get first dibs of tasting this dreamy ice cream dessert and they looked so sad when I told bye walking away with it! Lmbo! The place looks so cool with its Hong Kong theme! I cant wait for the world to be okay to sit here and dine because its only available for take-out right now. And friendly staff! Will be back....maybe tomorrow? Lol!

I’m only giving this a 2 star because I did not try the food but I will not ever. I’m very heavy on customer service. As I walk in towards the cashier table, I am not greeted whatsoever. The lady that was about to take my order just stared at me dead in the eye. Not even a “Hi” or “Hello.” It was very awkward so I said, “Hi..?” and she stares at me, still not even greeting me properly. RED FLAG. I then ask her where the menu is because there was not one on a screen anywhere, and she points her finger, STILL NOT SAYING A WORD! I get that she could have been having a bad day or hates her job but that is no way to greet your customers. The only reason I left was because of the way I was NOT greeted.

The desserts and appetizers Ive ordered have been filled quickly and correctly. The environment has a rustic charm with metal chairs and tables. Things seem clearly marked and inviting.Current, however the menus are not displayed over the cash registers but are instead still in paper form. I find that a little inconvenient. I sort of feel bad taking one every time.

I got off work today and found out that Sweet Spot is open again! I was so excited to find out that they have added numerous of authentic Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng food items to their menu. Theyve closed off their in house dining due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but you can call and place an order over the phone or you can walk in to place an order. Masks are required upon entry and they also have a protective screen when youre placing an order with the cashier. Plus the area is extremely clean!During my visit, the cashier was extremely nice and patient in explaining what the menu items were.I ended up getting:- Mango Pomelo Fleecy without the coconut ice cream - this icy drink is definitely my favorite because of the fruity mango taste and I love the texture of how the sago gets (sago is usually soft but in this drink it gets a bit hard). Theres also bits of mango pieces and pomelo.- Pork Chop Cutlet in Cheesy Tomato Sauce with Egg Fried Rice - Tastes so delicious and its so similar to what Ive had before when I visited Hong Kong. The pork chop is so juicy and tender. Theres also some pieces of pineapple inside, which I love and the tomato sauce tastes amazing with the egg fried rice.I will definitely come back again and order food & dessert for my family and friends.

I recently travel from Orlando to Atlanta with my wife and found this place located in Doraville.Sweet Spot serves Cha Chaan Teng style cuisine (Aka Hong Kong-style cafés in English, is a type of restaurant that originated in Hong Kong).I ordered a Hong Kong style French toast (stuffed with peanut butter) and baked pork chop cutlet in cheesy tomato sauce after getting some recommendation from the cashier. It tasted exactly like what I had in Hong Kong. I am surprised that you can actually find an authentic Cha Chaan Teng in Georgia.Service was decent and efficient, they remains fast-serve concept, just like Panera Bread.

I came here later in the evening and ordered the Taro Fleecy & the HK Milk tea. I like that the Taro Fleecy is blended well with a scoop of ice cream on top. Its not too sweet and very tasty. HK Milk tea is slightly bitter but the milk portion helps ease the bitterness. Both are really good.

This place is a unique culinary experience. The menu is filled with sweet, savory, and quirky handcrafted desserts that intrigue the senses and hit all the right aesthetics. The space is kitschy and interesting. A comfortable coffee shop vibe that contrasts pleasantly with the traditional Chinese fare. The staff is friendly, the food is phenomenal and the ambiance is very very cool. I cant recommend this place highly enough. Do yourself a favor and grab some sweet mochi ASAP!

They are originally like their name who only offered sweets (desserts), but need of business, they started offering popular Hong Kong style foods with their style (西多士 Hk style French toast ,港式焗飯意粉 baked rice and spaghetti),the food is delicious and I will definitely come back. The only downside is currently (as of 8/12/21), its take out or delivery only due to the need of finishing construction of the restaurant according to their staff. The staff did say hopefully they will be opening for dine-in by September 2021 which will be awesome. I definitely recommend it as its not easy to find a spot in ATLANTA area that serves classic HK foods. I cant wait to try out all the other foods on the menu. Again, just remember, its take out or delivery only at this time, best to call and check if you want to dine in.

They was struggled a bit and re-designed their kitchen operation: now, more than a Sweet Spot, a savory spot as well. By adding some typical Hong Kongness style meal options, such as Cheesy Baked Entree, Traditional stir-fry noodles/rice and HK style curry. We all know the eatery competition in this H mart plaza getting fierce, glad to see savvy biz owners catching up with peers.Con: still no dine-in (as of May 2021), be sure to call in advance for pick-up at least 30min.

I don’t usually write reviews but this is one of the places that I just have to write about.🤤🤤🤤 Finally some authentic Hong Kong cuisine in A-town. I ordered their stir-fried spaghetti w. black pepper beef and the Hong Kong style French toast with my fiancé. To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations since most of the Hong Kong cuisine in A-town ain’t that authentic. But wow, it was a time machine, it brought me back to my childhood when I spend my summer in Hong Kong with my grandma. I also got the fusion bowl (Tofu Pudding with fresh mango purée, coconut ice cream & double mango). Delicious! If you’re looking for something sweet but ain’t too heavy, that might be a good choice for ya!

First off, I absolutely love the interior. With our purchase, they provided us with two adorable red envelopes with a coupon inside. On to the items — I felt the two items I tried were not up to par. My fiancé and I ordered a cold Hong Kong style milk tea and green tea mochi. You cannot change the ice level or add toppings to the tea (I didn’t ask about sugar level) because the employee said it’s for quality control. That’s fine, but the Hong Kong style milk tea just tasted like a light brewed tea. It does have that silky texture at the end, but otherwise falls short in terms of taste. My fiancé tried to order a mix and match for the mochi, but they only come in one flavor. We arrived and ordered at 1:16pm. They opened at 12pm, but told us they sold out of 4 of the flavors. The mochi was very sweet and is not as chewy as I’m used to. This is definitely just my opinion and I’m sure they have other items that are better for another time.

This time we ordered the Traditional Hong Kong Steamed Rice Roll for the appetizer ( new ), Chicken a la King entree ( new ), and the Lychees Ice Cream Mochi ( one of our favorites. ). Let me tell yooou!!!! They did not disappoint!!! The rice roll was steamy and got the right amount of chewiness. The Chicken a la King tastes like what I remembered from eating in HK. I was SO excited to try Sweet Spot for the first time, what a bummer! Having had plenty of mochi & icecream in my day, I decided to try 2 different versions of the Fusion Bowl that highlights more unusual ingredients. The 1st bowl was: Sago, Mango Puree, Coconut Icecream, Mango & Strawberry fruit, & boba. The 2nd bowl was: Tofu pudding, Vanilla cream, Chocolate ice cream, bananas & strawberries, boba. Flavor profiles sounded delicious & the very sweet, very helpful girl behind the register gave her stamp of approval. SO disappointed when both bowl appeared overflowing & soupy. The gentlemen that handed them over even told us not to worry about the impending mess that they would surely leave. And thats what it was, a soupy, flavorless MESS. There was SO MUCH LIQUID! Where was the ice cream, the puree, the sago? Where were all the textures I was so looking forward to? We gave up & tossed $16 away in the garbage. Maybe the other offerings here are great but I would NOT recommend wasting your money on the fusion bowls.

WOW! I cannot believe I just discover this place! A few of us were looking for a place to hang out to avoid the terrifying Atlanta traffic. The desserts pictures displayed on the TV in front of the store definitely caught our eyes. AND Man, the wall mural is AMAZING. It must take any artist/ artists weeks to get that completed. I havent see anything like this around this neighborhood. Definitely comparable to any NYC east village restaurants or even better! The staff here are extremely friendly! Very patient and pleasant to talk to. They spent at least 5 mins explaining their items, as we were excited and asked about everything LOL I also learnt that they got native speakers on English, Germany, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese serving in the store through different time slots :) EVEN BETTER!We got Fruit Tea refresher, Cookie and Cream Ice Pop, Mango Pomelo Sago, Ice Cream Bowl with bubble waffle, and Oolong Tea with Cheese Foam. Our waiting time for the tea drinks were less than two mins, and the freshly-made bubble waffle ice cream bowl came out within mins. We were impressed with ALL OF IT! I vote that Sweet Spot has the best tea base of all the bubble tea places I tried in Atlanta. Oolong tea mixed with Cheese foam gives a smooth rich taste, yet the cheese doesnt over-power the mellow of the tea. Sweet Spot definitely got the best Fruit Tea I ever had, period! I was advised that they make their Ice Pop in house without any preservative. This is definitely a plus! The Cookie and Cream one is just the right amount of sweetness! I will come back for more Ice Pops and put in my fridge!!! Will be back for other items we didnt try this time!

Sweet Spot is the new go-to drink and dessert place! Located in the same plaza as Shoya in Doraville, it is definitely worth a visit. Dont expect it to be your typical bubble tea place though because first it is not a bubble tea franchise and second it is just so much MORE. In fact, the only milk tea they have on the menu is Hong Kong Milk Tea. So if youre looking for an extensive menu of milk tea, then sure this isnt the place. HOWEVER, if you want some delicious fleecy (smoothie/milk shake), teas, refreshers, ice cream, tong sui (for my Viet peeps, this is basically chè), homemade ice pops, etc...then go here! There is variety, and it is just so different from the other drink places popping up left and right. My first impression when walking in was the amazing decor. Sleek and eye-catching. You just cant ignore the impressive mural of the streets of Hong Kong and Bruce Lee to the right. Then, there is that corner where the line starts that I like to call the Instagram corner. Its lit up with a neon light sign and posters of Hong Kongs greatest movies and movie stars are on the walls. Being there just made want to book a flight to Hong Kong right away. Now for the drinks and desserts. My friends and I ordered the taro fleecy, matcha fleecy, mixed fruit tea refresher, black current refresher, ice cream bowl with the bubble waffle, chocolate ice pop, Thai tea mochi, and black sesame rice balls in ginger syrup. Bubble waffle was an extra charge, but it was worth it. Just a reminder that the mochi comes with three pieces per order, so you cant mix and match it and that the tong sui (which includes black sesame rice balls) in general take a little longer to prepare. Everything from the price and time was reasonable to us considering all that we ordered truly did not disappoint. The employees were super nice too. We will definitely be back.

I was skeptical when I walked in but I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was incredibly attentive and helpful since it was our first time in there. He gave us recommendations and even checked up on us after we got our drinks and mochi ice cream to make sure everything was okay. I didnt expect much but I was impressed with the quality of the tea and freshness of the tapioca. Im picky with my mochi ice cream but that was also very good. I got the build-your-own oolong tea and the red bean mochi ice cream. The only complaint might be that there wasnt much red bean inside the ice cream but thats negligible. Very pleased! Will probably go back.

They have friendly workers, the owner constantly checking on us and the mochi was good.Cons: I recommend the egg waffle should be more moist and not as hard.
