So many flavor options, youre going to have to come back and try more! I had the nitrogen ice cream and it was so smooth and creamy the best (Purple Rain) !A couple of friends and I had an awesome time and each of us loved our cold treats. I definitely recommend visiting and trying one of these delicious options.
I used to LOVE this place, but last time I went now it feels like the quality has significantly dropped. The green tea ice cream is now an extremely bright artificially colored green and doesn’t have the same texture or taste the same. But also, probably contributing to the subpar taste was the quality of the ingredients mixed in. I got strawberries and mango and kiwi on top and they tasted awful. Not rotten but like cardboard and with a borderline rotting taste. Thankfully the ice cream had a decent enough flavor to cover the taste and make it edible but so sad that it’s changed so much :( at least staff was nice when I went so that always makes a difference.
Fairly good experience keeps us coming back. Frankly, the menu can feel a bit much, like walking into the rolled ice cream version of a Cheesecake Factory, but the flavors are great.I was a bit disappointed when I got a passion fruit ice rolled ice cream though, and it was essentially just the cream base smothered In a passion fruit syrup. Ive had a better experience with items like the strawberry cheesecake And such.
Tasty and fruity! There is no limit to what perfect combinations you can come up with. You could literally have a different tasty treat every day of the month!!!....all summer long! And the best part was that I was able to have the same choices with the coconut base ice cream, since I am lactose intolerant. 😊Best ice-cream shop and my new favorite!
Passing by on Buford Highway late night was this satisfying sweet tooth fix I had. They got liquid nitrogen to show off your order in a dazzling way!
Pleasant to watch another way make ice cream with a stir-fry idea (originated from Thailand). The seating is a little limited, and I wish they have a strong spoon than a plastic one for such a solid texture of the ice cream. They also have nitrogen ice cream, which is another to make it. The noise is so loud in this small place, however. There are many tastes to choose from - you wont have problem not liking all of them, but rather which one to pick! I think this is a good place to visit when you have time, at least once, just to see what this type of ice cream is. I personally like it for a more solid texture yet creamy in my mouth.
Loved, loved, loved. Ice cream was so good. Got to pick 3 toppings. You can see them make the ice cream in front of you. Long line but moved quickly. Very bright and color decor...feels super welcoming. Just wish more sitting room and more parking room. Located in busy area. A favorite dessert place now
Had to stop here after hearing it had liquid nitrogen ice cream. While the ice cream was good, the liquid nitrogen was almost entirely for show. It is cool to see the steam coming off of the ice cream as they make it, and the end process is a work of art, but by the time we had it at our table and took pictures it was already melting. The atmosphere is very up beat and the music is a good level for the volume as well as a good party mix. The lighting is a little dim but it adds a slight rave feeling. All in all I would recommend trying it at least once.
Its different and I really enjoyed it. Service was good and even though it was crowded it didnt take that long to get us through. The flavors were good and I enjoyed everything
This place is GREAT! I started following it on the Gram and was finally able to get over there to try some of what they have. I got the Taro with mango and a strawberry shortcake with strawberries and gram crackers for my daughter. The guy who made them for me pointed out where everything was so I could make my selection as well as let me get my phone so I could video tape him make it for me. When you take pictures your able to get a free one on your next visit, so remember that! There was great music and atmosphere. Really plan to go again for different selections.
Just ok. Watching how they use nitrogen to make ice cream orders is the best part. Ice cream is only ok. Would not probably return.
Quick and friendly service. They’re very good at the presentation of the ice cream, and it’s also a fun experience watching them mash, mix, and roll it up. This is located in a shopping center, so there’s plenty of parking. There’s not a ton of seating room inside though. I also appreciated the water cooler they had available for customers.
Absolutely loved it! Highly recommend for something over and above your normal ice cream
Fourth of July. The waffle taco cone with strawberry ice cream and fresh strawberries n whip was awesome.Cons:Only 2 people working on a busy day. Many items not available.Gummy bears are nasty.Hey Students! First time coming here.. It was really good. Something different. Fast and friendly staff. Not too crowded. Will be returning
I loved it!!! I had the Strawberry Graham! It was awesome. Don’t forget the strawberry drizzle!
Wanted to stop in to see what all the fuss was with the new Thai rolled ice cream phenomena occurring along Buford Highway, so we visited Roll It Up. The 2 guys working were super friendly and were super busy, and they never had a moment to rest. The process is a show, but a long one at that. It takes almost 4 minutes to create each order, so by the time mine was ready, I had waited 20 minutes. I had expected to be blown away by the sheer creativity of the process of combining all of the flavors, but my chunky monkey was a lackluster treat at best.As I was attempting to garner some intense flavor from the $7 (inclusive of tip) dish of ice cream, I kept thinking how much better I would be enjoying twice as much of the Ben & Jerrys version for half the price. So in the case of Thai roll up ice cream, my mantra is been there - done that and will opt for a quicker cheaper option the next time a craving for ice cream hits.
This was our second visit and it was even better than our first! We thought the ice cream would be icee since its thinly rolled but we were wrong! It is soooo creamy and delicious. The shop itself is very cute and near so many great restaraunts as well as our favorite bakery sweet hut. We love that there is a clear glass so you can watch them Roll It Up while not breathing over peoples food. Next time we want to try the liquid nitrogen ice cream that was very neat to watch them make for others
It was okay. Ive had better rolled ice cream
I really enjoyed my taro ice cream. There were many different flavors and toppings you can choose from. There was already people waiting when I got in. Took a little but I didnt mind. Only negative thing I have to say was that there were napkins in certains areas of the floor and hair on their counters. Just wish someone would walk around to clean up the mess.
Staff lacks customer service. You are merely a number. It was busy at 8:30 when I walked in. They ran out of supplies and failed to relay that to customers. When I questioned my receipt, the associate was perturbed. The product itself was delicious but I wouldnt return to this location.
My son loves it, I was able to get icream without dairy and it didnt taste nasty
Amazing ice cream. Friendly staff.
It was awesome never had rolled ice cream before,if you had it you got to try it.
Very good and the people are very nice
Fast friendly service yummy delicious treat
My first experience with roll-up ice cream and I loved it! My girlfriend took me here because I never have this type of ice cream before, I was so excited to see how they did made the ice cream too. One of the best parts of my experience was watching one staff member make my ice cream and I would come here again just to watch it, so interesting! The ice cream tasted great and it was so fun to eat it like a wafer cookie and always be able to eat the normal way too. I definitely recommend if you never tried roll up ice cream, like this type of ice cream, and/or in the area come get ice cream from here!
I took my kid here for the smoky nitrogen experience. They handed her a rolled ice-cream. We asked if we can get the nitrogen kind. They said it will be a dollar more. We paid for it but it ruined the kid experience bc the server had the attitude the whole time. The server slam dunk the rolled ice-cream in the trash bin in front of the kid before handing her the nitrogen one.
So My first time here they did not have a lot of the items on the menu that they were no longer selling and were out. Then also all they have a group of people come in, they didn’t have any mask and they require a mask - it was like a group of 10 maybe and only two people had on mask on out of the whole group... they took all the chairs and then when we ask for the extra chairs the manager told us that they did not have any more chairs which was an inconvenience due to the big group coming in and pulling the chairs from the other tables... one worker barely had on bottoms literally and wasn’t customer friendly at all.. the floors and tables were dirty.. not satisfied with that but the ice cream was great overall.
I went here for my first time and didn’t know what to expect. I thought it was really interesting that they made the ice cream in front of the customer. I also had a pleasant experience with the worker, I believe his name was Steve. He was very professional and really knew what he was doing, he also had very great customer service and my kids loved the experience, Thanks Steve and the rest of the staff at Roll It Up.
Workers leaning over ice cream with no hair nets.
Horrible customer service especially from the girl Jennifer.
Great ice cream. love the smores flavor!
This very strong big tall African American man called my kid a cracker and then proceeded to spit on him because he asked for a Chicken Sandwich. Great Experience! We are currently in a relationship as of now because of this! Best ice cream shop I’ve been to 100%
Men the ice creams there are very good you have several options, combinations, variety, flavors the truth is clean place and very nice service.
We went Sunday passing thru going back home to NC the young lady was so nice, helpful, she help us with the menu and answered all our questions. Great customer service we felt very appreciated back home it’s very rare to find rolled up ice-cream. We order a Tropical storm and summer loving 🥰 very good. I recommend trying those! Thank you for giving us such a great experience. I wish you guys added a drink selection maybe some fruit bubble teas!!!! Just a suggestion. I travel a lot and I experience so many roll up ice cream bars and they sell tea as well, but any who. Thanks you guys.
Its fun to watch how they actually roll up the ice cream.. super delicious, I tried mango strawberry ice cream.. it was very refreshing. Will definitely recommend this to others. They also serve liquid nitrogen versions which are pretty interesting. You can either take your roll ups out or enjoy them inside a cool ambience.
Chunk monkey roll up was flavorful. I picked fruits as my toppings. You get to choose 3 toppings plus one syrup. Nitrogen infused Taro was creamy and has vivid impression of Taro. It didnt taste like powder flavored bubble tea.
The ice cream was good. But the customer service was poor. You only get one chance to make a first impression. The impression we got was we werent welcomed and we left saying thank you, no response. We were excited to come to this establishment. But, we left disappointed. Wont be coming back again.
Unique ice cream presentation. Ice cream was good and the add ins were delicious. Limited seating for how crowded it got. The restaurant itself was very trendy and fun. Dragons breath was pretty cool too. The ice sandwiches werent bad either. If you want a cool place to take a date, head here.
The experience is nice but they really should wear hair nets. the hair hangs down over the counter and the fan is blowing. Not sanitary.
Love the roll-up ice cream. So many options and toppings. Didnt get to try the liquid nitrogen ice cream, but will next time. It was really cool to see both kinds being made. The presentation makes it so pleasing to the eye. It was such a unique experience. My new favorite.
I recommend this place to everyone if you like freshly made cold ice cream right of the cooler thing. I have only been to this place once and I love it so much I will got there almost every single day. When I frost heard about rolled ice cream I want sure if I would like it because I am a picky person. I ended up liking a little too much and decided to write this amazing review.
We were here awhile. Be prepared to wait. They are understaffed and most people dont know how to order. The value for the ice cream is excellent. Cool to watch, cool to eat.Really neat idea.
This place is amazing. My kids love it. This was our first time going and we were impressed. The customer service here is amazing. Please take your family to check it out
Hands down best ice cream in Atlanta. Wife and I love it an drive over 20 minutes just to fulfill the ice cream cravings.
The ice cream was really good. Although they had beautiful pictures that didnt look at all like what I received. It was tasty though and reasonable prices.
Awesome place. Dragons breath wafers were fun for the kids. Fantastic flavor combinations. Far exceeded sub zero in my opinion.
Gil has THE best customer service. He went above and beyond to accommodate our indecisiveness and the 3 of us melted over the taste of our selections. I had a Piña, my best friend got Matcha, and my son had Bubblegum. The storefront artistry is beautiful, the music, created a vibe, the rolls were bomb, and Gil MADE OUR DAY. We’re already making more excuses to travel the 40+ miles to visit again.
The LN2 ice cream is SO smooth and pretty to look at when they serve it to you in a rose-like shape. They mix your mix-ins so well that it essentially becomes another flavor of the ice cream, in addition to the flavor you initially choose. My favorite combinations are Thai Tea+Lychee+Mango and Green Tea+Oreo. Also I dont think the syrup is really necessary.
Definitely different from other ice cream I have tasted.
