This place is packed with delicious pastries, rolls and other goodies. I had a cream butter roll that melted in my mouth. The roll was so soft and fresh. The butter was creamy and sweet. I really wish I could try everything in this cafe. The atmosphere is fun/busy. I see why people like coming here. Cozy to hang out for hours and just talk, read or soak in some me time (like Im doing). The cafe itself is very clean and pretty.Seriously, the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I found the coffee very mediocre. I ordered a small cappuccino with oat milk and a small drip coffee with almond milk. Neither was spectacular but they were ok. I dont even have to give it a second thought that I will be back.
This place is joy! There are almost endless options for baked goods, all of which list their ingredients for those of us with dietary restrictions. It turned out to be a great place for lunch and coffee too! I got two orders of their red bean fish shaped buns, not realizing they can five to a set. In spite of getting 8 more than Id expected, none made it out of the place! Delicious!
Dine in option available 🤗 place is clean. They’ve done a great job implementing social distancing. Inside the cafe is an open concept with many seating options. Beautifully decorated and brightly lit. If you want to work the majority of the tables have a plug within reach. The staff is attentive and nice. If you are looking for satisfyingly sweet but not too sweet treat this is the place to go. Extensive selection of breads, cakes, pastries. Amazing coffee!Milkshake lacks ice cream lol but the fishes with custard were amazing! 😋
One of my favorite local Korean Bakeries in suburban ATL. Out of all the classic red bean donuts Ive tried (and Ive tried A LOT at various other locations) White Windmills is consistently the best. The interior esthetic is very warm & inviting. Its easy to get comfortable here with others or just by yourself.Things you should know:I. LOCATIONTaking a left turn INTO the bakery during peek rush hour times or taking a left turn OUT of the parking lot can be overwhelming. Save yourself the stress and take the back way out/in. Dont be afraid to utilize the light at Oakcliff Road for those tricky left turns.II. QUALITYNever had any complaints. Everything is baked fresh daily. Ive tried so many pastries here and even the fish-shaped buns. Nothing ever fails to meet my expectations. Pre-COVID, they had samples out to try--hopefully they can get back to that standard again in the future.III. SERVICEGood. Ive even had a person at the register make a recommendation based off the palate I had. He recommended their dutch coffee since I like my drinks acidic & black. He didnt steer me wrong--he knew his stuff.IV. CAPACITYIve always managed to find somewhere to sit, but there are definitely times where it has been packed here. Typically after 3pm on week days and on weekends.
Very disappointed in the customer service I received this morning (Nov 3, 2021). My mom and I arrived 15 minutes before open and found the bright light sign screaming “OPEN” at the door. The doors were locked and when we beckoned the guy working, he rudely greeted us with a “can you read english?” pointing to a sign at the door.We asked to use the bathroom and wait inside for 15 minutes and he absolutely refused, with no reason other than saying he was the only one working (though I don’t see how that would impede us using the restroom and waiting inside until he was ready, given it was raining outside). This used to be our favorite place - it’s even where I celebrated my birthday this year. But I cannot support a business that treats its customers this way, so I will be taking my money elsewhere and White Windmill lost a whole family of very loyal customers.
Wonderful collection of Bakery Items. Very cute spot, nice decor inside and outside. But extremely disappointing coffee. We had Vanilla and Hazelnut Latte. The coffee tastes like paper pulp. Would never go again for a coffee here. Total waste of money on that one! :(
Walking into this cafe whisks you away to an unknown and wonderfully aesthetic land! I don’t even know how to describe the decorations, but I’m in love with it. There are pastries EVERYWHERE- I mean, I swear nearly every kind you could ever think of or want. And they all look fantastic and top bar. I got one of their panini sandwiches, can’t remember exactly which was it was most delicious and satisfying. The boba drink I got was green apple flavored and I loved it because it wasn’t too sweet so overall it was a good balance. So yep, this is a pretty neat place- and a great space to get some homework or work done or just hang out and all that. Highly rec!
Decent atmosphere, friendly service. Not cheap. One weird thing. Sat and consumed a couple of boba teas and cakes. Got coded as merchandise on my credit card. Strange.
I want to say this is my new sweet spot but after going a few time I realized all baked good tasted like butter. My suggestion is ease up on butter and add more flavor. I may consider coming back. Cool vibe and ambiance but a little on the pricey side.
This used to be a nice place to come and have a good time and good drinks, but unfortunately the past few times it’ being horrible! the drinks, the food and even the staff. The front lady who takes de orders it not helpful at all, and we bought two drinks and they taste just like water with barely flavor, for 4 items I was charge $25 dlls. It’s overcharges, and not worth it anymore! I do NOT recommend it.
One of my favorite restaurants. Always so clean and so cute. The Windmill Panini and the Club sandwich are excellent. The pastries are always so fresh and I love that they aren’t so sweet.
THEYVE GOT WONDERFUL GOODIES FOR YOUR SWEET TOOTH!!!😃😃😃
This is a hidden gem and now my go-to spot for my coffee. I love the atmosphere it’s so cozy and clean. I came on a Saturday morning and they were very busy. They have a variety of unique pastries, sandwiches and coffee to choose from. I really love how fresh and soft the pastries were.I ordered a iced caramel macchiato, hazy latte, caramel macchiato, blueberry scone, wrapped sausage. They were all delicious. The coffee ranges from $2-$5 depending on the size you want but some of the coffee or beverages only come in one size. They offer wifi, seating inside and outside on their patio. I would say it’s a good place to study but due to them being so busy it will get nosey.Their in between Firestone and Towers Liquor store so parking is limited and it might be hard to find a close parking spot.
Ive only been here one time but I plan to keep coming back. The place is NEAT and organized. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and staff is welcoming. I love you can sample some of their baked goods before buying which is another reason i gave the place a 5 star. They have many different size tables for any occasion. Anyone that is looking for a chill coffee spot to come do work or read this is the place for you.
Attention to detail. Friendly staff. Delicious sandwiches and pastries. The coffee is better than most, but not amazing. The tea however is excellent. Grab some bread. Grab some pastries. And enjoy
One of their best bakeries and cafe Ive found. On Buford Hwy next to Tower Liquor. Atmosphere is so very charming and comfortable. Worth a try!
Please have some pastries that are either dairy-free or vegan please.
Always a wonderful service and food. My family and I enjoy the pastries and the lates.
I absolutely adored this place when I visited. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic yet feels serene due to the lovely shabby chic decor. Makes you feel like you’re in a tiny French town. They offer so many options both in beverages and baked goods. For beverages, they offer everything from tea and coffee to bubble tea and smoothies. I love the fact that they also provide samples of baked goods so you can try before you purchase. This is rare for similar bakeries. We came to just have a quick coffee but ended up staying a couple of hours because we enjoyed it so much.
Very delicious baked goods, pastries and coffee drinks. Nice place to meet friends, or just hang out and read, write, study, or whatever. Casual, comfortable atmosphere
Excellent service! I was meeting my lovely daughter and we were treated like royalty. What a great place to meet. We’ll be telling our friends all about our experience.
Fantastic! Ordered a more than reasonable bacon turkey club but the real treat was the bakery items!! Do yourself a favor and visit.
White Windmill is a fantastic spot in Doraville. If you come early enough, they will have a wide range of desserts and savory pastries for your selection. Some are more pricey than others, but with increasing visits, you will discover what is most worth it and what is most appealing to you. Hours are fantastic, and staff are never short of welcoming. Dine-in options are clean, relatively Covid-safe, and cozy.
I bought chocolate cornets and almond bread from the location inside of the Mega Mart in Duluth. They were so good! Everything looked so pretty, and the cashier was very nice.
It really is an interesting concept. The bakery has several samples of their products that the customer can try. The customer can then purchase whichever product that they like the best. There is also a sandwich bar towards the back of the Bakery. The prices are a little high. However, it is a good place to visit if you happen to be in Buford Highway.
Shocked that I havent hear about this hidden gem until recently, it is a fantastic spot to grab coffee, boba/bubble tea, hot tea, pastries and more! I love that they have several #dairyfree milk options including oat, almond and soy. My friend ordered a ginger tea and it came with pieces of fresh ginger root inside and my almond milk strawberry boba was the best milkshake I have had in a long time. Quaint setting featuring lovely chandeliers, twinkly lights, and socially distanced tables. They have a temperature scanner installed on the plexiglass surrounding the preparation counter and hand sanitizer is available and they have minimal-contact pickup at the counter. So excited to come back and relax, especially to use their lovely patio when the weather warms up.
This bakery is an absolute must try. With pastries filled with red bean paste and Green Tea breads to sample, you are sure to have a unique tasting experience. The cranberry cookies are so yummy! Also the outdoor seating deck is really attractive and riddled with planters overflowing with with geraniums. They also offer sandwiches, espresso based drinks and a variety of teas. The pricing is a bit above moderate so - its not an everyday stop, but well worth a stop.
The food, Ambiance and service were all spectacular! It was a random find that I am thrilled to have found!
Gorgeous specialty drinks! The pastry were delicious as well. It gets busy, so try to get there early to avoid the crowd!
Amazing place for a great coffee and terrific bakery products. Also had there bubble tea. It was just out of the world. Highly recommended for any coffee and bakery lover.
Love their iceblended coffee 🤌🏼💯💯
Perfect place to sit and relax! Chickin salad is good! Coffee & cake to die for!
I love this place!! So good. I love that you can sample items before you purchase them. I love coming in here to get pastries both sweet and savory. If you come before 3pm you can get their lunch sandwiches that come with both chips and two cookies. I highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich. I love their cute cookies for gift giving. They have a large assortment of teas (yes they have bubble tea) and coffee drinks. They also have these large bingsu dishes or the trendy fish pastries. Seating can be difficult at peak times but Ive always managed to find a spot.
First and foremost, this place is expensive compared to similar stores in the area. However, I would argue that the price is worth it.The tea is great, but where this place really shines is in the bakery. They have a very nice selection of bakery items to choose from, and they even provide samples before you buy.The seating area is also well maintained and relaxing, making it perfect to end the night at. I recommend this place for anyone trying to make an after dinner move for tea.
If you want to enjoy great desserts, check out a Korean bakery and coffee shop called White Windmill on Buford Hwy. If you are trying to satisfy a sweet tooth with light sugar, this is the place to be. Feel free to bring your laptop and work as you enjoy the soothing background music and calming environment.
Coffe and hot coffee were delicious! Wide variety breads, pastries, and cookies.
Rude staff and nonsensical mask policy. No one sitting down is wearing a mask, since we’re all eating and drinking. But if you’re standing in line to order, (with shields protecting the registers), the staff is sure to make sly and rude comments on your way out if you’re not wearing one. There were people sitting four feet away from the line without masks on. Have a policy that actually makes sense. The whole year I’ve been coming here and never had an issue. But here we are, a year later and now the staff is rude about it. I’ve been a regular for a long time. If I’ve ordered and paid, save your demeaning comments. Bye.
As always white windmill is very tasty and despite being fairly busy is also very fast.
Authentic european/french style bakery. Fresh and all natural ingredient, it seems. Taste like authentic cream, no fake ingredient or coloring. True bakery. Not too sweet, which I like. Keep up a great work at baking!
Tasty food and drinks and a lovely environment. Nice cafe to come and work in. Staff are friendly.
The best bakery in all of Georgia. Highly recommend stopping by if youre ever in the area.
Great drinks! Food is ok. WiFi is painfully slow, even for email and reading
Absolutely a wonderful spot! Found this from a Instagram post and decided to try it out because it’s near my work. Since then I’ve been back countless times. Great food, beautiful and tasty desserts and cool atmosphere. Highly recommend. Excited to share some sweets with close friends and family during the holidays.
The White Windmill Bakery is a pretty nice cafe. Its very spacious on the inside, good lighting nd multiple power sockets for working from there. The staff has masks, they ask customer for them, they have tables that are forbidden to informe social distancing. The sandwiches are fine. Some better than others depending on yur tastes. They are kind of small but of you take advantage of the special of the day its definitely worth it.The pastries are amazing. Very recommended.
This place stays open late which is hard to find in Atlanta. Theyre very nice here. Coffee isnt that great but the atmosphere is worth it. I always get a black coffee and it seems watered down.
Had a very bad experience. The Cashier had a really bad attitude.
First time!!! And I loved how clean the place was and how nice the service was too!!! Will definitely come back soon again!
Not very pleased with my Americano.I was not treated too well (ignored for 10 minutes), but that happens sometimes and I was willing to overlook that. And thats why I ordered my coffee to go.But this Americano was really watered down, with no crema, and with coffee residue all over the side of the cup. Tastes like water that ran through some (not so finely ground) beans. This cannot be what they call an Americano here. Pictures.Maybe I got unlucky? But this isnt a casino; its a coffee shop. I should get what what I paid for here, not this coffee scented water.Edit: Ok wow, I just dumped out the coffee to discover grounds at the bottom of my cup. ??? Looks like I got really really unlucky here.
Cool place with tons of baked goods and great coffee. Highly recommend.
Very tasty but hours are strange. Just left this visit with nothing because they stopped serving bubble tea by 9p... with a shop full of people and despite closing at 10pm? Just confusing and disappointing to drive all the way out here.
The Lady cashier attitude are so badAnd they never give customers receiptI always need to ask, and her face looks like I owe them something, omg
I visited on Friday with an order of 150 total of different kind of items. Although I didn’t call them but they still did their best to complete my order.
Ive been going to this bakery since I moved to GA in 2013 and Im never disappointed
The pastries here were so delicious and the atmosphere is so nice! After moving away from Atlanta, this is one of the places I miss the most. Its in perfect proximity from great restaurants like Cho Dang Tofu House, and right down the street from the Kpop Store USA. I enjoyed every single time I visited this location, as the food and service were always great.
Speedy service, cozy clean atmosphere, delicious treats. It’s the best.
Great bakery and sandwiches choices. Will definitely go again. Hope the cafe can be closer to Atlanta.
I’ve become a regular here. The atmosphere is wonderful. They play soft jazz coffee house music with no lyrics. The decor is clean and open. It’s easy to focus here.Staff is always welcoming with a nice “hello” and quick to take and make my order. The coffee is wonderful. I love when I’m studying and can smell them roasting their own beans. I switch between black coffee and the lattes. All I’ve had from their sandwich menu is the veggie wrap which is a nice portion. The small cookie with my lunch was also a great touch:)
Onw kf the best Bakery in Atlanta. I really lobe their cakes. Amazing cake, probably 10% more expensive then a regular cake but worth the taste. Their Mocha cake is one of the best for me. As a place it is really nice and cozy. Good coffee as well. For 2020 they make sure social distance is maintained. The staff are really helpfull and welcoming.
Place was cute.Everything else was bad.Bubble tea- go to sweet hutCoconut balls- mediocreMocha cake- awful and bland.Chocolate cake- spongy and blandCoffee might as well have been folgers.
Wonderful treats in a beautiful building!
Amazing pastries and bakery items! Not overly sweet and always tastes very fresh!
Tasty drinks, pasties, nd sandwiches. Free wifi
The young woman behind the counter was just on the verge of being rude and was definitely unhelpful. Will not return.
Absolutely delightful! Super fast service even with a long line. Coffee is delicious and the pastries are excellent.
Got the fish with custard, a bit burnt but still tasty
The White Windmill is a great Korean Bakery, I would have to say their sandwiches are great, namely the Turkey Pesto was addicting and a must have are some traditional Korean old school snacks that have been around at least since the late seventies when I was in Korea . red bean bun and the green been bun, they are great, but they have cotemporary pastries of all sorts, they are not as sweet as American pastries and you can actually taste something besides sugar, they run out near closing so I need to say no more, swarm them and make them work hard you will not regret it.
Awesome bakery .... Nice place to hang out and have a good coffee and food
