Wow. Liver of lamb might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Thank you!!
I was hoping for a better experience at this cafe, though it was not bad. There seemed to be only one man working there. Some of the dishes were not available including the kanafeh, falafel, and lentils. We ordered the fool with tomatoe sauce (number 2). It was a little too spicy for our taste even though we ordered mild.shakshookah (which was not what your typical shakshookah looks like), was eggs with some veggies and spices. It was still tasty.Lamb liver, as they did not have goat liver. This dish I would say was our favorite. Plenty with flavor and cooked just right. The bread was decent, heated and somewhat fresh. The tea with mint was great!
Cafe food... super tasty. Service is prompt even when they are busy. The service was very helpful and welcoming. Bring your hunger - portions are large. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
The cashier is always angry for no reason, the worst food I have ever eaten.
Cafe food, so fresh. Cool location to meet with coworkers. Really nothing but good experiences here.
My preferred scene for quality cafe food. Definitely worth going back to.
Great breakfast
Excellent FOOD & SERVICE !!
So bomb! Id never had Sudanese food before, but Im definitely a fan now. The food at this place is really freaking good. And the owner is really nice.
I love this place! I have breakfast here pretty much every other day, if not every day. The food is amazing quality, the bread is always freshly baked which is shocking for Colorado since the PH level of water is different from the East Coast. The gentleman who owns Sudan Cafe is such a sweet man, he memorized my order so when I come in and sit down, he asks me if I want the same thing. And I always say yes! It’s a great personal relationship and comfortable environment to enjoy delicious middle eastern food! I highly recommend this restaurant and I definitely recommend drinking either the mint tea or Mango Laci / Juice! It’s my favorite and like I said the food is always fresh and is always really quick! So if I am really hungry, I know I will not be waiting long, it is the best quality food and the service is absolutely perfect. I have not had one bad experience here, it is the best! Number 1 for sure!
This place is SO good! Fresh ingredients, nicely spiced, we can’t wait to try other menu items!
Great food! Awesome owner! Found this place because work was doing a diversity project and Sudan was our chosen country. We had to bring in or make a dish and that’s how I found this place.
Went there a few times with friends, the breakfast was awesome. The liver is cooked to perfection, and the mint tea is a must try, along with the sugar cookies. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, he even joined our table to get to know us. Told my co-workers about the place and we made several pick up orders for lunch. Also the coffee is amazing!!!!
Nice products
Excellent food, very friendly service! If you never had this cuisine dont worry, the gentleman behind the counter will walk you through the menu if you ask. A very good experience!
The food was delicious and the service was great. I defiently recommend this restaurant.
Nice place to go
Its nearly impossible to find authentic Sudanese food where we live, so while in Denver we made it a point to stop in. And let me tell you, Id fly back just for one meal here. It is seriously delicious. The owner was so nice, and personally cooked our meal. The lamb liver plate and sandwich was perfection. Im getting hungry thinking about it, and sad Im no longer there. Definitely the best meal out Ive had in probably a year or two. Stop in and see for yourself.
Fresh tasty authentic flavors and great service
Their bread was amazing and I liked the foul a lot too. It was simple, tasty and healthy.
And we are back again. This is possibly the only Sudanese restaurant in the country, and it is quite authentic. We had the tea, had some kibda (liver) and foul (beans), all perfectly seasoned.
Best authentic place to eat!!!! Amazing food with excellent customer service...Highly recommend this place beautiful patio area to sit outside even on a chilly night heating lamp though out, You must go inside and look in the back its little hidden gem
Friendly service and wonderful food. I definitely recommend the liver. Pretty small location with limited seating but absolutely deserving of your business.
One of my favorite places to eat. Everything Ive had has been delicious. I recommend this place to everyone who will listen.
The owner of the restaurant is not nice . I surprised by his behavior, it is possible that he does not want coustmer. I didnt enjoy the food because I was not comfortable with the restaurant owners behavior
Nice nice and organized and people very lovely and beautiful Ethiopian music plying
Great food and coffee.. Eggs and toast! Yum.
Very delicious food, friendly owner who will explain to any newbies (me!) the best dishes. Very vegetarian/vegan friendly.
So nasty Food, so dirty store. Won’t be back
The foul (Fava beans) are the best here. If you havent had Sudanese foul this is the best place to get it. You can add some eggs and some spices to make it better.
I love this place. I keep going there at least once a week.
This place is phenomenal for the food good mix of Sudan and Ethiopian food had the foul it was made the best I look forward to the next time.
Delicious and authentic cuisine and an extremely friendly atmosphere.
The bread and foul was amazing. The bread was soft and felt like it was freshly baked.
Love this place. Great food. Very clean and organic.
Good traditional middle eastern/African breakfast, shakshoka & liver are really good.
Head on over to get a huge bag of freshly cooked injera - you can take it home and make your own African food or dine in. The owner Micky is a pleasure to talk to!
An amazing food. Very friendly service.
