A VERY delicious spot with amazing gluten-free options! I pictured it as more of a restaurant with wait staff service, but it’s definitely more of a order at the counter, get your table number type thing. No complaints there except you might have to wait for a table to free up if you don’t want to sit outside! The sausage breakfast sandwich was INCREDIBLE, and the sweet potatoes fries (subbed those for potatoes in the Mediterranean hash) were some of the best I’ve ever had. I was a little confused that they didn’t have almond milk, but the macadamia nut latte that I had was incredible!
Really enjoyed this quaint shop. Very nice staff and cool vibes. Great seating indoors and out. Great coffee. I had both an Americano an a Cortado. To eat, I had the vegetarian breakfast sandwich. They took the time to reheat it in a way that it was still crispy! My wife ordered the salad with Avocado but they didn’t have any that were ripe. The cook came right to our table and explained the issue and then when the salad came out he brought out 3 different extra options for salad toppers. They went above and beyond. Will definitely be back.
Gluten free breakfast and lunch!! Such great food and coffee. Everything is gluten free, some things can be vegetarian or dairy free.I had their Veggie Breakfast Sandwich, lemon strawberry poppyseed muffin and their key lime cookie bar. The veggie sandwich is tasty with the tomato basil inside. The muffin was good; the chunks of fruit inside made it a little gooey-er that I like personally. The key lime cookie had just the right amount of sweet and lime.Theres lots of space to sit, both inside and outside. Theres also local art for sale and community connections via displays and bulletin boards. It gets BUSY! Its definitely a popular spot and totally worth coming to.
The staff there, especially Luke, were all so friendly and helpful! My wife and I both have gluten and soy allergies and we are used to not being able to eat anywhere, it was so nice to find a place that we could eat almost everything! Everything was gluten-free, and there was only soy in the mayonnaise. Wish I lived in Denver just so I could go here every day
These baked goods are a spiritual experience. Im not eloquent enough to articulate how outrageously good the food and coffee is at River and Roads, but if you havent tried it, I urge you to try it! This is an entirely gluten free bakery that absolutely trounces any other full-gluten bakery I could name you in the area. We love this place and are so happy to have discovered it!
Awesome place! Dog friendly patio, ample table space, outlets, and natural light. Big hit for locals getting breakfast or getting work done.Got my food and coffee very quickly despite crowd. Seasonal vanilla rose latte had great vanilla flavor without being too sweet. Sausage breakfast sandwich was awesome! Sausage patty, fluffy eggs, and cheese on a house-made herb biscuit that is buttery and soft. Definitely recommend!
Everything gluten free! Great service. Clean environment. The sausage breakfast sandwich is so delicious! Also got their fries and had great seasoning. Can bring your dog!
Great lil coffeeshop. Good atmosphere, great natural lighting. The New Avocado Toast doesnt disappoint. Their homemade GF bread provides a unique texture, which pairs nicely with the tang and crunch of the pickled onions. The creamy harissa sauce really takes this sandwich to another level. Bring your laptop and stay a while.
Ive been going here for years, but rarely for a cup of joe. That said, my wife loves their caffeine offerings, especially their spicy chai latte. I go for the donut holes that melt in your mouth like little heavenly sponges of sweetness. The main reason for my patronage is the breakfast sandwiches. Ive been eating food for 42 years now and havent come across a better breakfast sandwich. The soft warm cheddar biscuit soaks up the oils from the perfectly scrambled eggs and savory sausage patty for a full mouth experience akin to my first kiss. Add the layer of dripping cheddar cheese and you have yourself an out of body experience. I always think Ill keep half of it for later, but before I know it, the whole thing is resting warmly in my gut putting me in the mood for a long food nap.
Good place and nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good coffee.
On vacation & I’ve come more times than I’d like to admit for the breakfast sandwich on a cheddar biscuit. I’m going to dream about that sandwich in my time away from Denver. And the drip coffee is quality of a pour over. This is hands down my favorite Denver spot.
Best gf coffee shop in town. My wife and I come here often. Great coffee, great food. Nothing but good things to say about this place.
Their food is so delicious! It is an absolute dream for anyone who is gluten free and anyone who isn’t would never know.
This place was delicious!! Their homemade granola is so yummy and their donut holes are delicious. I got a vanilla rose latte and it was very smooth and balanced in flavor. Definitely worth a try!
Awesome little cafe with a completely gf kitchen! We got two different pastries to share and then 2 breakfast sandwiches to have the next day (already had breakfast but was in the area but heard it was worth checking out). Would recommend as a nice coffee shop to work at or meet up with someone and some grab and go goodies for anyone with gluten free needs!
Always drop-dead amazing food!! We visit every time we are in town!! Chef Mike is very accommodating with our dairy allergy!! Shoutout to him!!
Best coffee shop in town with the friendliest service and the best gluten-free goodies on the planet!
Coffee is so good and the almost everything is gluten free. We had the gf breakfast sandwich and we both LOVED it. My husband is a gluten eater and loved it as well. GO!!!
Great shop. Very good espresso pulled perfectly every time. Good food options as well. Thanks for the savory options! Glad to be close by.
My favorite coffee shop ♥️ Everyone is always so happy and kind, and the food is AMAZING. I would probably give my left arm for their iced lavender laté and sausage breakfast sandwich. And their muffins. Would give 10 stars if that were an option.
Excellent coffee and very tasty breakfast items (including many gluten free options). The staff is great as well. My wife and I were visiting from out of town and came here every day we were in town. We enjoyed the biscuits, donut holes, and smoothies- in addition to the delicious coffee. I would highly recommend this place!
I had an iced latte and their house granola, both were very enjoyable. I loved the atmosphere, plants everywhere 😍
Nice people and well prepared espresso. Lots of variety of breakfast biscuits and sandwiches and quiches available.
Nice to have as an easy walk. The breakfast biscuit (veggie and sausage) are yummy. The poppy seed muffin was terrible. I couldn’t even eat half, really disappointed. I wish I could have returned it for something else.
Best gluten free food EVER with a huge selection and good prices! Nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful service.
Great coffee and food!Big coffee shop that roasts its own beans on site. Lots of seating and a large patio. Delicious coffee! The food was amazing also, had a biscuit sandwich and fries. The biscuits are made from scratch here (as is the bread for their other sandwiches). Wish they were open past 3pm.
Hands down our favorite place to eat when we visit Denver! Their menu is so amazing and really provides options for gluten free (and even DF/V) diets. Highly recommend the Salmon Toast 🙌
Definitely a must if you are in the Clayton neighborhood. The coffee is amazing and has been perfectly brewed every time Ive gone there. Saturday mornings have an atmosphere with neighborhood families coming in and kids playing in the front lot. Friendly service and great food. Recently they went all gluten free which is a great with gluten free needs. I also believe they do a community dinner once a month to help raise funds for the local community. Super cool and s must visit.
BEST gluten free bakery and coffee shop in Denver! You will not regret trying them out! 😍
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. If you have celiac disease or are just avoiding gluten - this is your place! All food is GF and AMAZING. My daughter is celiac and loves the donut holes and breakfast sandwich (I do, too). Coffee is also perfect and they are VERY accommodating to making yours exactly how you want it!
You cant go wrong here! I came and got an iced vanilla latte, delicious! Great atmosphere to sit and work! Good music, cute decor, strong wifi, and friendly baristas! What more could you ask for?
Excellent, cant go wrong with any choice its all so good
I tried to call to make an order over the phone and they suggested to use the online ordering but the items in their Instagram post weren’t in there. She then said to call back because they usually have a line out the door at 8am. 🙄
Great patio and atmosphere. Coffee was a little weak, but Ive only been here once
Really cute location, there were craftspeople next door making glass. Dog friendly, though the yard is mostly rocks. Food and drinks are good, service was amazing!
Really cool little coffee shop. Love the vibe here and the pastries are so good! Coffee is always on point and the people are very friendly.
Delicious 😋 food breakfast and lunchThirst quenching drinksHad the curry chicken salad today, yummyHubby loved the turkey sandwich 🥪
This place is incredible!!! We made sure to make a stop here to try it on our trip because myself and my two boys have celiac and dairy allergies. We tried the chocolate cake, Avocado toast, americano, smoothie and pomegranate slushee. My husband isn’t super huge on Avocado toast and my boys and I love it. Even my husband couldn’t get enough of it! We all felt completely spoiled. Everything was absolutely amazing and we all left stuffed!! The people working were the kindest people and the atmosphere was perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this place! I wish I could eat their bread everyday!! Sooo good!
This place is phenomenal! The staff is super nice and the coffee, food, and atmosphere are great! They roast their own beans on site and have a variety of food options (all which are gluten free and some that are dairy free or vegan too)! I got a variety of pastries to take home to my sister and also got chicken noodle soup for her. They gave me the noodles in a separate dish so they wouldn’t get too cooked (gluten free noodles tend to fall apart of heated/cooked too long) when I heated the soup for her later that evening (so kind)! I went another time during my trip with my sister and she got a sandwich and fries-which didn’t disappoint. They have great breakfast sandwiches too! I got a lavender latte with oat milk both times and it was the best I’ve had! River and Roads seriously has a piece of my heart and I will make it back someday-I’m sure!
I was scrambling for a good cup o joe and maybe some food, along with a bathroom. The coffee shop that gives haircuts, down the street, was closed. So desperate I dove into the 7-11 not wanting to drive all the way north to this place. I was super excited I did. Easy parking. Attentive staff. Cool space, the owners include a roaster and a baker. She came out and cleaned up my mess then delivered a sausage biscuit second to none on top of a stellar mocha that she informed me was a micro lot columbian. It was delish. So glad I stumbled in one of the best I have been to all around. The toasted marshmallow was a nice touch sans it sticking to my stash! 😵
Butter coffee is velvety smooth. The vegetarian breakfast sandwich has thick tasty tomato slices on it. They heat it up so it’s toasty and has a little crisp cheese at the bottom. Giant windows make this a well lit place. They have outlets all along the walls so you can hang out and work for a while.
Wonderful place, fresh made oblong iced tea was delicious, great friendly staff
Such a cute spot! There are so many plants inside as well, its very cute and cozy! The Caffe Latte was delicious. I didnt eat while I was here on this visit but the food looked very tasty
Love this place. I drive across town just to get breakfast and coffee from this gem. The gluten-free baked goods sure fooled me the first few times I was in. I had no idea (I obviously didn’t read the signs) the food case was gluten-free and I was enamored by the delicious selection. The sausage breakfast sandwich is a city favorite among everyone I have introduced it to. The coffee is roasted in house and their Almond Oatmilk Latte is my go-to. Outdoor seating is available during Covid but I’m sure the indoor seating will be back someday too!
We found a little gem not too far off I70! Everything is gluten free and you can satisfy any craving. The coffee is amazing and they have multiple alternative milks also!
Gluten free heaven! 🤤 And the staff is amazing!! 11/10. 👍👍
I always try to find a place near the Airbnb we stay at to be my go-to coffee joint. This place had good reviews we walked in the big open door and the guy immediately asked “do you have a mask” I said “no” so he handed me one and I said oh I’m ok I’ve been vaccinated he got rude and said “well you walked past 3 signs on the way in that said you needed it” I turned around and said I walked through your massive open door where there are ZERO signs, I didn’t know and put it on. (No other place had made me so I wasn’t aware it was still being enforced). Then when my sister asked for a double espresso the girl picked up a cup showed her and said this is what it comes in, she said ya that’s fine then the woman asked have you ever had an espresso?? Needless to say we didn’t come back and won’t again but we tried Lekker the next day and I would 500% suggest it!! Super cute local place with incredibly nice staff that was founded after being inspired from a missions trip to Africa.
Best GF biscuits ever!!! Food was awesome, great atmosphere and staff!
Top-notch customer service and amazing food! Placed an online order today and got hung up with other things which made me arrive to pick up my order over half an hour late. Not only did the staff insist on reheating my food, they repoured my coffee so it was fresh! Cannot speak highly enough of this place for going above and beyond today on what was my mistake. The food and coffee are always great here as well! Thank you!
Chi tea tasted like Lipton Tea with the tea leaves in the drink, gross, need to have regular breakfast food like fried egg sandwich, croissant egg sausage sandwich, yogurt with fruit, I had no idea what kind of food to buy didnt want to take my chances, really didnt care about this place after tasting their Latte Chi
Great people, great coffee loved it
My go to coffee shop! The service is exceptional and the food/coffee quality is just as good. I HIGHLY recommend the sausage breakfast sandwich.
Nice little coffee shop. Coffee tasted great, muffin was average at best
Great coffee and delicious food. & very happy to see some gluten free and vegan items, too!
This is my favorite spot for gluten free treats! Everyone there is very helpful and friendly! My recommendation is to go early and get the donut holes! If it’s lunch time grab a sandwich and make sure to grab their sweet potato fries with the aioli! You can’t go wrong with breakfast biscuit either!
The service, the price, the quality of coffee and desserts, the comfortable atmosphere, all are satisfying. This is our favorite spot with my friends for we all love coffee and we also love the ambiance. We really enjoyed the day and we had a nice day with the staff. This is a great place to stop and spend some time.
15+ minute wait for a flavored iced coffee. It’s worth it if you are not in a hurry.
Waited 25 min for a cold brew that takes 5 seconds to pour. Cashier was standing around and not helping out with simple orders.
Sweets and salads fresh every day
The ever changing menu is always AMAZING. We go here at least once a week and are never disappointed. One of our favorite Denver spots now!
My family and I have not ever had a bad experience here. They are always very friendly and their food is delicious!
Love this place! So good to find a place that has gluten free options and they are actually amazing! 🧡 love the staff. They are attentive and friendly and they care about the community in an amazing way! Check them out!
I walked in this morning after passing by for some time to drop my kids off at school. Recently deciding to stop supporting starbucks and start supporting more small local businesses I wanted to give it a try. I walked in and the employees were very friendly patient and helpful. They all were smiling and engaged in conversation. The coffee i got was smooth and exceeded my expectations. This is my new go to coffee location. It is very clean and spacious as well! Thanks for making my day!
There is no better coffee shop in Denver. Everything is truly amazing. You can tell the food is made with a lot of attention. Well done to the staff!
Ive been coming every couple weeks to R&R since it opened a few years ago, and the quality has remained consistent. I typically get my whole bean coffee here, and their roasts are unassuming but delicious and often fair-trade origin. Im a big fan of their breakfast sandwiches, which you would be hard-pressed to notice are gluten-free. Their rotating line of donut holes is a nice treat. The owners and staff couldnt be nicer. A great neighborhood staple.
Favorite Denver brunch location. Healthy food or treats, gluten-free and vegetarian options. Great coffee. Great people.
Honestly, this place has the best donut holes Ive ever tasted in my life. I wish I could eat them every single day!! The coffee is delicious and the staff is also incredibly kind!
First time visiting today (I found this place from TikTok actually 😂) and it was so good! Breakfast sandwich and coffee were delicious and reasonably priced. Easy to find parking too. Definitely my new favorite near Park Hill!
Great local coffee shop!
This is hands down my favorite coffee shop by my work. I go in and always ask them to make me a random drink and I’ve never been disappointed. They’re also always so friendly. 10/10 do recommend
Great coffee and outdoor patio area!
The dog area alone is worth going, but also great drinks and vibe!
The coffee was okay, I’ve definitely had better, but the atmosphere was very open and relaxed. A great place to read a book or just hang out! Kinda sad they didn’t play Rivers and Roads tho..
This place is a gem! Their homemade syrups are quite delicious. Friendly staff too. Great food options and their paistries are gluten free-- there all lots of options for people with food restrictions but its also delicious for people who dont. Sparkly clean and safe. We will be back!
Always such great food and service. Breakfast fries are one the the best things from anywhere in Denver.
The best breakfast around!!
Great service and food and drinks! I love the breakfast sandwiches.
Rivers and Roads is a small, modern cafe with great decor, friendly staff, quality drinks, and a great selection of healthy dishes. We split a serving of the avocado toast, veggie breakfast sandwich, and a lemon and rosemary muffin. Each one was amazing. The veggie breakfast sandwich was surprisingly filling with crunchy crust and fluffy innards. The slightly sweet acidity of the tomatoes complimented the spices in the eggs perfectly.A heaping medley of veggies was served on a thick cut piece of whole wheat toast. The light sauce they used to keep everything together wasnt overpowering and coupled with the creaminess of the avocado to become something greater than the sum of their parts. The muffin was perfectly sweetened and the lemon flavor was fresh and authentic. My only complaint was that it was a little spongy, thought that makes for clean eating with no muffin crumbles scattering about if youre eating on the go.I tried the chai tea and drip coffee as well. The coffee had a bold, clean taste and was brewed expertly. The chai tea was rich and full spicy flavor. While being a little spicy for my friend, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly reccomend it on a cold day.Rivers and Roads is an wonderful way to start a relaxing day!
Their breakfast sandwich is very satisfying
This place is truly a gem. I am very picky about my baked goods and Rivers and Roads never disappoints. Coffee and espresso has always been good too. Today I tried the doughnuts, and my only regret is that I didn’t order more.
The coffee, golden milk, smoothie, and pastry Ive had in prior visits have all been excellent. During the last visit, I was disappointed and skeptical when my wife came outside with an orange Chai drink since Im not a big fan of orange flavor. Despite my prejudice, it was actually pretty damn good, so this establishment I already held in high esteem has reached a new level.
