This store is amazing and the two gentlemen that were working during my visit were incredibly knowledgeable. Every book store that I go to I look for one book in particular... yesterday it was found after years of looking! Oh, and they have Moldavite :) Oh, and another thing, this store ---feels--- great, it just feels great. Wonderful energy there! Excellent people run the place and it shows up in all phases of their store, from product to pricing. Metaphysical shops can be pretentious, but I do not find Shining Lotus to be so. Be sure to check out their books.

This shop is adorable and the atmosphere is amazing. The people here are so sweet and make you feel so welcome. I’m not from CO, but when I come here again, Shining Lotus will be one of my first stops!

Dont go here to sell your books. He gave me $2 a piece for some very expensive books and thats all he would give me.

Great selection in this little shop. Tarot decks are reasonably priced, still a little more expensive than amazon, but you can see samples of decks in a folder they have. Also found a great tarot journal here. Some candles here are less than a dollar. Very good prices!

Was excited to find this place.... metaphysical stores are the One Place People From all Walks of life Feel Welcomed...Not Today and not this store....When my Family and I walked in we were not Greeted...not acknowledged we spent About 5 mins in that store no one offered to help not ask if we needed anything etc ...Never experienced nothing like this in any of the local metaphysical stores around Town...them 2 white girls came in and they jumped up to say hello and those 2 guest didnt return the hello.... No Beginner at this...for a place of positive vibes they sure did miss the mark...I would not Be Returning Would not recommend this place ...there are plenty of other Warm and inviting places and gems the city has to offer!!!

Great place i just wish the staff would have been more interested in helping me and less interested in their family problems. I am sympathetic about their father having cancer my mom had cancer too and I hope they let him do (or in his case not do) the treatment like he wants to instead of being selfish and trying to force him into it. Sorry but if you didnt want my opinion you shouldnt have been talking about it while I was in the store. Great store though wish you could have shown me around and told me all the great things you had to offer. I was just walking around feeling like I didnt want to interrupt you serious conversation.

Amazing little store. Well organized and a book lovers dream. They have a front area for new retail and a back area of used books, almost like a mini library! I will be returning for a tarot reading with their daily reader Davina on an upcoming Wednesday.

I vibrate at 9999HZ.. I walked into this establishment today to be greeted by a solid faced woman staring me up and down.. I was told to pull my mask up immediately.. I have a beard this pulls my mask.. I adjust the thing all day in businesses... the energy(inner chi) in this location is non existent.. the frequency I felt was on the fear scale... this group of souls is just in the business of selling stones and are not for the more enlightened souls but a great place for lesser energies. You’ll feel this upon entering. Of course we hope this establishment ascendancy is imminent but as for now I will not attend this location. I purchased a calendar but went for my start spring stone collection.

Best metaphysical book store in the Denver area! With so many new and used books and tarot cards, youll almost definitely find what youre looking for.Im a little disappointed that their Norse section is pretty much entirely Thorsson and Flowers (and their proteges.) I would recategorize Flowers as Temple of Set/Left Hand Path (or just dispense with him entirely) and get some more academically sound content, like the books from The Icelandic Magic Company.

They are always so nice. And will answer any question you have. And they have great selections.

A lovely little store filled with so many fascinating books and trinkets. First visit there and was definitely worth it. My favorite thing must have been the 30 cent miniature candles in every color. Perfect! So much to look at and an overall good environment. Felt very safe and calm, can’t wait to visit again :)

The owner was horribly rude to my family and I. Do not and will not recommend shopping here. I’m from out of town and stopped by. The owner was so extremely rude to me about the fact that I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask. Offered to provide a medical letter from my health provider. He told me to shop on-line. I don’t trust shopping on-line and giving my card information over the internet. I have a job - so I can’t just sit at home. The owner was a complete jerk.

A really nice little shop with interesting trinkets and knick knacks to choose from. I was shopping for a souvenir for a friend of mine and the person behind the counter didnt really know how to help but thankfully a nice customer that was there made a suggestion for me which I ended up purchasing. A vast selection of books ranging from the occult to theology to self-help. A small rack of tarot cards is also available here. The atmosphere has something to be desired, though, as it was unnervingly quiet. It felt like the employees were actively keeping eyes us the whole time. Fair, for a small place like this, but it definitely couldve been a little less insultingly obvious.

Shining Lotus Metaphysical Bookstore recently had its grand opening reception complete with an official group blessing at their new location at 2553 S. Colorado Boulevard in the strip mall behind US Bank. The bookstore had to move from its previous Evans/Colorado Boulevard location because a developer bought that strip mall to demolish and throw up (sic) a six story 300 unit apartment building. The new location is next door to a Subway so hopefully the good vibes emanating from Shining Lotus will improve the quality of their sandwiches. Ive been a customer of Shining Lotus for several decades (when it was called The Metaphysical Bookstore) prior to Tim and Justin taking over in 2009. Ive been to lectures on astrology, attended classes, had psychic readings, and bought books and incense. (They have a large selection of obscure, decently priced used and new metaphysical books.) I fondly recall one fascinating evening around 13 years ago sitting and talking with renowned metaphysician William Henry for over an hour after hed given a lecture at the store. If you havent yet been to the Shining Lotus Metaphysical bookstore, you are in for a treat.

I went in and asked for a book on astronomy and specified not astrology. (i want to understand exactly what Im looking at before I ever get into its meaning which I also specified.) What do they give me? A book that half way through the first chapter goes straight to the zodiac. I like the store and what they have to offer but I feel like I was BS-ed into a buy and will more than likely seek out different stores first from now on.Also the woman at the counter told me, after I mentioned why I want an astronomy book, well they are completely separate things..... Not really; we had to observe where it all is before we ever were able to understand its meaning. Without astronomy we would have never had astrology.

Yesterday I stopped in a lil shop called Shinning Lotus Metaphysical Book Store on Colorado Blvd and found this PERFECT lil cauldron!I walked around trying to talk myself out of it, but it was too perfect. It is EXACTLY what I think of when I think of a Witches Cauldron. It is small, maybe 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide, but it was such a great price for a perfect cast iron pot! It was $15, I stopped in another shop afterwards and similar less awesome ones were selling for $25-$30! Sometimes you just know you have a good deal before confirming it! 😂They also had a wondeful selection of used and new books on many things. I got myself a used book on reading tarot and a new copy of Basic Witches. Also the married gentlemen who run the place were SO NICE and welcoming! Do not regret my purchases at all. Wonderful shop!
