Talk about an easy bike shop! I had my bike serviced there (first time) and it came back better than when I bought it (seriously). It’s absolutely silent and feels like I’m riding on a bead of grease. I wish their vending machine out front was a bit more reliable but the service, expertise, and just honest friendliness is what makes this place such an outstanding staple of the South Broadway area.

I had a short window when I could drop my bike off before heading out of town with it for a bike weekend. Totem called me the day I submitted an appointment request and let me take the bike in early to let them see it and determine the turnaround time. They converted my tires to a tubeless setup in half the time I expected and remembered my name & plans when I went to pick up. Will definitely be back.

I only needed a rear derailleur adjustment. Others shops would have charged much more and the mobile service I contacted wanted a minimum of four times more than Totem. The mechanic was professional, punctual and did an excellent job, all for the cost of making the appointment. I will definitely go back.

I brought them two neglected road bikes and got them back in great condition, ready to hit the road. Great value and great work all around. Would bring another bike here!

Totem has quickly become my favorite shop in Denver. Its perfect for service, repairs, custom builds, bespoke components, and hand built wheels. Ryan, the proprietor, is meticulous, knowledgeable, and honest. He built a set of wheels for me (Velocity rims with Paul Hubs, pictured), and without my even asking, he took care to line up the hub logos with the valve holes. Recently, when a small mistake resulted in a scuff on one of my bikes parts during service, Ryan brought it to my attention, apologized, and addressed the issue. He could have easily hidden or ignored it, but thats not the kind of business Ryan runs. I highly recommend Totem Cyclery.

This is a small but mighty bike shop. I brought my bike in with an urgent need to have it tuned up and a shifting problem fixed before leaving on a trip 3 days later. They had it done and ready in 2 days! Im thrilled to buy local from this Baker neighborhood shop!

Good bike shop! When I dropped the bike off, I asked about getting a new cassette along with having my chain changed. The mechanic examined the cassette and said I didnt need a new one! He fixed the bike so no more problems (the brakes were squeaking badly) and put on a new chain. Bike now rides like a charm. Ill use Totem again.

What a wonderful place for a tune-up! I made an appointment online and dropped my bike off at that time. Ryan tuned up my road-bike and called me only a few hours later to pick up. I couldnt pick up until Sunday and though Totem is not open on Sundays, he allowed me to pick up and went out of his way to open the shop for a minute so I could do so. Ryan at Totem is the best! He took a lot of time to understand what I was looking for in a gravel bike, and pointed me in the right direction. Couldnt be happier with my new Surly Ogre, and Ill go back to Ryan for anything this bike (or any of my bikes) might need.

Getting a hold of the shop was a little tricky. I left a voicemail and never received a response, but when I decided to set up a consultation instead, communication improved. This was only a slight mishap that didn’t cause too much of an inconvenience. Everything turned out so nicely and I’d choose Totem over many other local bike shops in the area!

Great little local bike shop in Baker! Brought my bike in last week for a tune up (it was gifted to me from a friend who had it sitting in her backyard for over a year). I had selected the higher level tune up package when booking, but when I dropped the bike off, I was told that it was in good shape and I could get the next package down. Thought that was super rad of them to help me save some extra bucks. They completed the service earlier than scheduled and it rides great. Will definitely make this my go to spot for all bike maintenance!

Awesome experience. I recently acquired a bike that hasnt been in use for a long time, Ryan tuned it up, replaced parts and made it feel so tailored to me. He was quick and accomidating when I couldnt pick it up till the day after he was done. The vending machine outside the shop also carries small repair kits and bike parts, definitely convenient for anyone in the area. I had a pair of mountain bike wheels built by Totem Cyclery. Im very happy with my experience at totem. Their price for the build and components were very competitive compared to other shops. I got my wheels built for about $60 cheaper than other shops quoted me at. Ryan was easy to work with, addressed all my requests, and had me on my new wheels quickly. Totem Cyclery is a great business! They were flexible with us when we couldn’t make our original appointment and got us into a second appointment quickly. They changed a tube on two of our bikes and did some work on the chain of one of them. The job was well done and at a very reasonable price! Definitely will be visiting them for any future work.

Ryan at the shop was very timely and organized.I got new wheels, spikes and hubs. He made some great recommendations did all of the install. Offered a re-tune after a few rides just to make sure things were where they needed to be.Love the ride now, and if I have future work to do I’ll be back.

I took my carbon fiber bike to Totem after a nasty accident did some major damage the rear derailleur. After making my appointment online ( I was able to make an appointment within a week and the process was simple and straight forward), Ryan got my bike into his shop and within the same day, I had a full quote on parts and labor (which, I might add, was lower than I thought it might be). I had my bike back in two days, fully repaired, properly adjusted and mechanically like new. Will I take my bike there again? Absolutely! Would I refer others? Without a doubt. I could not be happier and Im certain you will be too.

I had a spoke repaired here, and although he was able to fix the spoke, there was a minor hiccup that I had to go back and have fixed. Luckily, he fixed it immediately even though appointments are required. About as good of customer service as you can ask for.

Had my rear derailleur cable replaced the day after it broke, great price and excellent service. Less than an hour to repair and I am able to shift thru my gears without issue. Ill definitely return for any other service needs I have in the future. (BTW I ride a Specialized Roubaix with S-105s)

Ryan is an excellent mechanic and works incredibly fast. Blue Velvet had my Allez Sprint rolling smoother than the day I bought it, and I plan to use him for my all my upgrades and maintenance in the future.

I scheduled a general bike tune-up for my man’s bike, as it was just generally unrideable. It was finished quickly and the shop is really cool on the inside— the repairman was honest about what he could and couldn’t fix (like a bent frame) and it rides really well now!
