If you rent from this facility PLEASE ask for Semmine and no one else. Hell treat you like family. Hes old-school, a rare man of his word wholl look out. All other employees seem a bit indifferent and are not a customer-focused as Semmine. My uhaul experience was exceptional because of him
Had a rental for a truck. Showed up and was told they had nothing for us and to go somewhere else. Worst customer service ever.
What ever u do DO NOT RENT from this facility!!!I rented a truck for one days & returned it approximately one hour early in 2018.I get a call from this place asking me when do I plan to return the truck!?!?!?!?Don’t u all have security cameras in this hood place?Who calls someone a week past the due date?No, nobody called prior to that I checked my phone log!Long story short, I immediately (2108) went to this place and lady told me I had to do a police report, which of course I didn’t feel I should since I did everything I was suppose to do.I did it anyway to relive the issue, police filed it as a stolen vehicle.I spent several hours per day, for weeks talking with several different ppl to resolve what this place allowed to happen at this disastrous location.Go to rent a uhaul at a nicer facility two days ago low & behold they tell me after I try to check out a reserved truck online,“You have an outstanding issue with U/haul. Please call .....”I did they said I owe over $1,000 in rental fees.I said I thought all of this was resolved years ago, she told me that they need a police report on file to resolve the situation.I gave the information to the staff at this forsaken place in 2018.The truck was stolen & left on the street somewhere and it was towed back to another nicer uhaul. (Avondale)I asked why they towed the truck, they said they DID NOT HAVE THE KEYS!I personally believe that the staff at this facility had something to do with the truck(s)being stolen, they knowingly do not have a safe place to return rental truck keys, staff can not be trusted, insurance fraud?I know that the staff drives the vehicles after it is returned and try to charge people for the miles, gas.Which u can not prove otherwise if u don’t have proof.U all did that to my daughter and manager insisted that she pay additional fees for extra mileage.But she took pics of the mileage & she said the manager didn’t say anything else.I’m going to turn this over to the attorney general because I feel like something is not right at this location.Sometimes closer location isn’t always better, Well worth it to pay a few more dollars to get better service from another location or company.Please, if anyone is overcharged, accused of not returning items, report this business to the state.Multiple complaints to the attorney general can lead to an investigation into the business practices of a company.
BE AWARE of the Manager Alexis Brookins!!!I came to this store yesterday to pick up my reservation over the phone with a customer service representative of UHAUL. I called 10 min prior to coming to make my reservation was ready and available and they stated it was. When I enter into the 2505 Candler Road, Decatur Ga location, a older gentleman from the back came in and asked how he can help me. I told him my name and my reservation number and he proceedeth to look up my reservation. He then stated that there was no reservation there in the system for me! I then went to my phone and was looking at the confirmation email and simply said it states it right here. All of a sudden, a younger looking, african male, and he began to speak concerning my status with Uhaul. When he begin to speak, he started with a word of like this: You did not speak with anyone at this store, and we do not have your reservation . As I (the customer) tried to speak up for what I was told over the phone, the General Manager as he proceedeth to let me know very unprofessional, rude, and extremely unseemingly. He then told me that if I had a further issue to contact his boss, and his name is on the outside of the door of the store, and that I needed to leave. I have been a loyal customer of uhaul over the years, and NEVER in any of those years have I experienced the trauma I had to deal with on yesterday. Now I have my team of 3 men to help with my most necessary move, and to be told first of all the reservation did not exist, and to be spoken to like a DOG, a very inhumane creature, was just very devasting and way out of ORDER! I say to all of you BE AWARE of this store because the way they treat their customers is not good and it will leave a BAD TASTE IN YOUR MOUTH!
I came in with a question about a trailer. The guy working was not helpful, and he was rude from the beginning of our conversation. He was very polite with the customer in front of me. When asked a question, he did not fully explain the answer I was given.
This is a really nice place, with a very helpful, courteous staff. I wish I could think of the young mans name that helped me with filling up my propane tanks. He went above, and beyond to help me with what I needed. However, the reason I gave them three stars is because of the wait. Ive been there twice now, and both times Ive spent over thirty minutes there. If you are doing that volume of work consistently, and they are, then you NEED TO HIRE MORE HELP! The two young men that work there, (the same two both times,) are very respectful, and hardworking, but they can only do so much! They arent Supermen, although they conduct themselves as such. Give them a raise, and hire more help! If you go in to buy propane, or packing material, and youre in line behind three people that need to rent, or return trucks, then youre in for a long wait. I feel that its just like every other business in America. A small, select few are getting filthy rich on the backs of the hardworking men, and women that carry the entire company!
I typically have had decent experiences at this location. However, on my last rental of an open trailer they attempted to charge me more than triple my contracted price. Ricardo, the Manager charged me for returning my trailer to some store in Buckhead.I explained to him that he checked my trailer in on his computer upon my return, and he gave me the okay.He told me that he did not make those kinds of mistakes, after I told him that I picked up and returned my trailer to his location. That bothered the heck out of me.Such arrogance!The refund was subsequently made.
This place is Snail, Turtle, Sloth slow!!! No since of urgency! NO Zest, zeal. Customer service is super bland and robotic. Allow yourself ample time, cause these folks is SLOWWW!
Will not ever deal with them again. We drove over 600 miles to pickup our RESERVED ONE WAY TRUCK. Only to be told that there were NONE AVAILABLE. Highly confused on why a reservation was able to be made of the terms were not available
If you need a truck don’t come here!!! Extremely slow and under staffed. I waited over an hour to pick up, one person working on a Saturday morning. I came to drop it off, waited 30 min inside and the lady told me I needed to wait in the truck outside with it running and the AC on. I waited for over 30 min outside for a total of one hour to drop off and one hour to pick up. What a joke!! Hire more people!!! Save yourself time and go somewhere else.
The employees are working hard; doing the best they can-professionally. However, the computer system is extremely SLOW! This has several people waiting for hours in a line that is is mounting like a Six Flags line.

I will never go to this place again. First of all, I was unfamiliar with app check-in and the manager wants to make everyone feel stupid with comments like even little kids can do it. She bypassed on my phone the area where I could document existing damage and then told me I didnt need to take pictures. Yeah, right. The banged up truck also had a check engine light on but Im supposed to ignore that. The male, bearded cashier told the store I just wanted a free truck when I complained about it. The next truck they gave me had a tire sensor problem and would not show the mileage. The manager tried to convince me it was nothing. I dont appreciate the attempt at gaslighting. The other female cashier reeked of marijuana. This was the most rude, ratchet and dysfunctional place I have ever been to.
Terrible customer service skills. Instead of answering questions the lady behind the counter just glared at us, and then would not take our phone number to start the contact. Went to a different location, I would recommend the same for anyone else who needs a U-Haul in the area.
It took an hour to refill a 20lb propane tank. The operator mistakenly opened the relief valve after the tank had been filled without first closing the 20lb tank. They then topped off the 20lb tank again and charged me for the gas they spilled. Finally, they charged me more per gallon than what they told me over the phone. When I asked them to honor the price they told me on the phone, they said they could not do anything. I recommend avoiding this uhaul if you want your tank filled.
Rental Date: Saturday, 10/26 between 6:45 PM - 7:00PMMy pick up experience was unfortunate. A staff member locked the door in my face approximately 5 minutes before the location was set to close. I had been in the parking lot completing the online pick up process for 10-15 minutes prior to closing. All I needed was the keys to be handed to me, everything else was done online. The situation could have been handled differently. I was treated as a burden to the associate and he was very rude. Thankfully another associate was willing to hear me out and I was given the keys. The customer service was extremely poor and I would not hire the associate that initially interacted with me.
I rent from this U-Haul frequently and love this location. They are slow at times but that is because they get a LOT of customers. Crystal and the early morning reps are the best. They are very knowledgeable about the company and extremely efficent.
I made a reservation for 9am . I’ve been standing in line for over an hour . One cashier working and no help . Uhaul is making a lot of money at this location. Why is one person working only ? If I went to a location in buckhead. I’m sure it would be fully staffed but because it’s in a low income area . Why isn’t the quality the same ? Get it together uhaul. And don’t respond back to me with an apology either ...
I always turn to Uhaul and they are always there for me_ I initially believed that the manager blamed me because my reservation was not correct. I was wrong_ I did wait for two hours, I said, Hell to the naw? The data system charged me for services that I did not authorize and the manager couldnt cancel any section of the reservation, ITS NOT HER FAULT when I really think about it.When I called the reservation hotline, and they called her back_ if I was honest_she really did have a store filled with customers to attend to and the phone was ringing off the hook_ if I was rational, I would have known that it is NOT THE MANAGERS FAULT_ the manager is a human being with feelings too, so why are we slandering her good name? WHY?As customers we can devastate someones day_ and we are not innocent_ some of us are quite mean, even super mean, by blaming staff and management instead of corporate office. Are we jealous to see such lovely people in a position of power? Well_ why?Truth be told_ They did a fantastic job and if I had a bad experience, I was already having one when I entered the store. TRUTH BE TOLD_ I was out of line, but dont tell me_ you are perfect? I am very sorry, the manager had to stand her ground_ good attitude and she did not let screaming customers interfere with her momentum! As I reflect, I feel ashamed that I was upset at the wrong people.The workers and the manager were professional. Truely, the manager was probably overworked and understaffed! She did a great job trying to help 3 people at the same time while some of us customers_ whined like sleepy babies, and unappreciative!I apologize to the manager because I can be a hard to serve customer when pressed for time, on the other hand, excellent customer service skills, not only deals with the easy and simple transactions, but is shown and demonstrated with the challenging and difficult transactions or cutomers.Next time, I will be most understanding because being a manager is not an easy job when customers blame the managers for things that they cannot control like I did! One of the best U-Haul facilities in the area. Very clean, large inventory of most truck sizes and capabilities. Great location, great staff. Highly recommended.
I had the terrible displeasure of meeting Reggie. He must be the worst example of customer service known to man. I asked for a trailer and mentioned that I needed a hitch. His response was, Well, how can you get a trailer without a hitch? (Clever...) I told him that we needed an installation. Before asking about my vehicle details, Reggie immediately told me that a hitch is a specialized part and that we were supposed to have made an appointment. WRONG. I read the website and clearly knew my chances with availability. He then said that their location didnt have the part, but he could give me the address of a U-Haul that had it. Our conversation was interrupted by a call. As he answered his phone, with no regard to my presence, (One moment please or by putting the incoming call on hold) my husband and I walked out. Of course, this didnt bother him. Had Reggie simply stated that he was in no mood to work (sadly, being that they had just opened), I wouldnt have wasted my time on his tired sarcasm and condescending behavior.I went up the road to another location and they were out of the part as well. Guess what they did? These wonderful people sent someone to get it, and we were on the road with no problems. I didnt automatically expect the part to be available in such a short notice. All I expected was great customer service. Reggie killed that entire concept by exhibiting an incredibly nasty demeanor. U-Haul was not the problem. Its just a shame that an ill fitted employee is representing the company.

Have utilized this location several times during to its proximity to me. Bad attitudes. Bad service. Took almost an hour to return the vehicle due to slow workers and inefficient customer service. Will avoid if possible moving forward.
Pretty horrible customer service I stood at the register for 20 minutes just to buy boxes and the three people I saw working never acknowledged me and just kept walking by.Came back later to return a truck and an employee named demont was very helpful the only good interaction Ive had from the store.
I found a real lack of problem-solving, initiative and even basic competence here. I scheduled a trailer hitch install, paid for it, and waited a week for the appt. Got there to find they didnt have the parts and hadnt called me (instead, I got a reminder not to miss the appt). I had to suggest and then follow-up on things like checking other dealers for parts, ideas which apparently didnt occur to Crystal or which she simply didnt want to act on. Eventually, it was too late for me to use the hitch at all. If Id gone someplace else for the install, I wouldnt have missed an important opportunity, and I wont make that mistake again. Id strongly urge anyone looking for a trailer hitch to look elsewhere. U-Hauls website works great, but this location definitely doesnt.
Very bad experience, these people are crooks. I was overcharged and since they owned their own store they were very cocky about not having to answer to anyone else. I wanted to go to one in the neighborhood but I will never use the U-Haul brand again.
We came earlier in the day and waited 85 mins to get a dolly, thinking if we came back things would go smoother WRONG we waited 2-half hours to hook up our trailer and another 45 mins to pay and leave, the only reason I’m leaving 2 stars, is the saving grace of a very hardworking woman by the name of crystal who literally did everything while 3 other employees stood around. Worst experience at a uhaul I have ever had EVER!!

Accommodated my request and gave me no problems during rental or return.
They rented me a faulty vehicle, they KNEW was faulty and are refusing to reimburse me. When I arrived and finally got checked out no employee showed me where the truck was. They saw me wandering the parking lot and laughed bc I was on the wrong side. They continued to make jokes to other employees for me having been on the wrong side of the parking lot- though NOT ONE employee showed me where to go. NO EMPLOYEE did a pre-trip inspection before I left, and 50 miles into a 250 mile trip the transmission blew. I have proof (screenshots of THEIR system) the truck they rented me broke down on 7-1-18 and they made NO REPAIRS to it and rented it to me on 7-14-18. DO NOT USE UHAUL FROM ANY DEALERSHIP BUT MOST ESPECIALLY THIS ONE.
Where do I start...what they wont tell you so Im going to tell you is the CHECK IN APP. its on the contract but they fail to point that out. If you turn your rental in after hours and you dont use the app to check in you will be charged an extra day.
We have rented over 100 trucks from this location this year. Their attitude sucks. Their organisation sucks they act like they don’t care if they make your money or not. Someone needs to train this entire store on what customer service is. We have been going to other Uhaul, and some kind of way, we end back up with these horrible people. They reported one of trucks stolen and we rent over 100 trucks from these people per year. Please visit the other stores in the area. This store is a huge disappointment for the amount of money we pay them. Only to be reported stolen. We rent from this store every other day and they won’t give us a business account so we pay straight up cash every time. They had the nerve to report a truck stolen. If you care so much about money. Then you should treat your customers like you care. We see no love.

Very poor experience. The staff were highly unprofessional. on two occasions they just sat there and continued to eat and have conversations while I was trying to make purchases. They had no problems talking about a customer while i was in the store. 3 staff laughed about making a gentleman wait while they took a smoke.

As a Corporate Sales Client with UHAUL this location for Uhaul is the best. They give or take the stress out of the moving day especially Melvin who does his best to be first of professional but keeps the personal touch to his responsibilities.
The owner Crystal was rude no help she saw I was 8 months pregnant and I told her I needed help eventhough it was self serve she had the keys in her possession and dolly locked up so I had to walk back and forth looking for stuff constantly asking for help so instead of doing this in ten minutes I was there for a hour and there where no other customers she made my experience terrible I will never go back there and a time I went before for bad so overall she’s no good as a owner she thought it was cute but medically and frustrated it wasn’t it was a waste of my time dealing with her non helping human self she should be ashamed

Rented a truck for a day was told that rentals were for 6 hrs but if I needed more time just call. Well I called and was still charged for 2 days I will never do business with U-Haul again. Not to mention the guy working behind the counter told me he would extend my rental and I wouldn’t be charged. Well that was a lie.
The truck wasnt the size I asked for the brakes was noisy truck pulled to the right its just a rip off.
