Best coffee spot in Dearborn hands down. Excellent art and service, and excellent espresso. I always get a mocha either hot or iced, but my friend enjoyed the Americano. They make some blackberry almond cake that is to die for. Im trying to figure out how to replicate the recipe!

I visited Black Box for the first time today, and was extremely pleased and impressed with my experience. I highly recommend the Lavender Latte, which is a wonderful blend of floral notes and strong espresso. If you are lucky enough to meet the owners, they create a welcoming environment with wonderful conversation. A hidden gem is all of the artwork from local artists as well as local trinkets which make wonderful gifts. I will definitely be back!

Delicious coffee, cozy atmosphere, and phenomenal service! This family run coffee shop has easily become one of my favorite go-to shops with their lavender latte being my ultimate favorite (so yum!). I enjoyed my latte with a piece of warm, homemade Blackberry Almond Cake, which I highly recommend! The Dark Chocolate Chip Sea Salt Cookies are AMAZING too! The art is constantly updated and created by very talented local artists. This is overall a beautifully ran business by a beautiful and warm hearted family who is ever so welcoming! Everyone should go try this amazing coffee and enjoy the art!

Where to start? The cappuccinos is the best around, the pastries are incredible and the concept is creative and new. I followed them to their new location and they havent skipped a beat on quality and treating customers as if they are part of the family. The decor is beautiful and the art is always a reason in itself to visit but the addition of great quality coffee and the family who runs this establishment makes it an even more compelling reason to consistently come back! I purchased a Latte that tasted and looked exactly like milk. While I was paying for my coffee they put me an in awkward position by asking in front of everyone the amount I wanted to tip. I always tip because I know the restaurant industry is tough, but they either should allow the tip jar to be as is or allow me to type it out on an iPad like majority of other places. When I took a sip from my Latte it tasted horrible when I kindly asked for it to be fixed they charged me more money to add an espresso shot. I paid almost $8 dollars for a still horrible cup of coffee and was asked if I drink coffee. What kind of lame question is that?

I love love love the cappuccino here! It’s what a good European style cappuccino should be. Also the owner comes up with some interesting lite sweets all the time which are a must try !

This art gallery features local artists and serves the best of local coffees. They grind and brew your coffee to order. It is always fresh and delicious. Try their specialty, a lavender latte which is never too sweet and always perfect! They also serve fresh cookies and a delicious Swedish blackberry cake that you can eat out of hand. But get there early, because they are made daily and when they are gone, they are gone!

This is probably the best cup of drip coffee in Westborn. The staff are extremely friendly. Grabbing a quick cup on the go is easy with the loading zone parking just east of Black Box.

Today, I tried their cappuccino and it was great! They are very sweet, patient and willing to accommodate requests. I enjoyed looking at art that was made by local artists. I will definitely be going back!

I literally go to this place almost everyday. Probably my favorite coffee, but whats even better than the coffee is the staff. Its a nice quite place to do work, and there is new art every month or so aswell. All in all its a great place.

Always excellent coffee. The owner is very friendly and always puts a smile on anyone’s face!! They will customize your coffee anyway you like it. Do not go to Elanor’s across the walk way from here. I made the mistake on a day when Black Box was closed and the women working acted as if we were an inconvenience to her and we were the only ones in there. They also do not offer decaf lattes or decaf anything like Black Box. Highly recommend to anyone who loves coffee. Forget Starbucks!!! Support local. See for yourself. I LOOOOOVE the walk up coffee window in West Dearborn. It is super convenient and COVID-safe. It’s a great option if you drive or walk or bike and want some great coffee served up by a friendly face without having to even enter the building. I discovered Black Box last summer when I heard about a new art gallery opening in Dearborn. I have seen every exhibition since finding them and they are always engaging and enjoyable. They have also been slowly rolling out the coffee shop within the gallery and it is imho the best coffee shop in Dearborn! They serve Great Lakes Roasters Coffee and pull a mighty fine espresso. Having moved here from Portland, Oregon not too long ago I learned to appreciate great tasting coffee while living there. Ditch Starbucks and go to Black Box! I hope they start selling whole beans one day for my home brewing.I love this little stretch of Monroe St. and look forward to seeing how it grows.
