I was completely violated. This is the first time I’ve ever had to leave a bad review however I’m left with no choice. I’m writing this in tears as I leave shaking from this awful, traumatizing experience. I went to My Eyelab located at 4591 S University Dr, Davie to purchase new glasses yesterday. As I walked in I was greeted with the current “specials”. One of them being, buy 1 pair of glasses get the second pair free plus a free eye exam. The lady who assisted my purchase informed me that my prescription was expiring in December.I was instructed to purchase the glasses and come back the next day to receive my free eye exam. I was also told the glasses I was purchasing should have add ons due to the ” type” of prescription I have. In total my cost for 3 glasses came out close to $725.00 not the $179 before these add ons. However, I’ve been a loyal customer to My Eyelab for 5+ years and have always put my trust in the experts to advise me on what to do. As a 25 year old student who works full time, this is an extremely high purchase for me, however my life depends on having reliable glasses so purchased it and set my appointment for the next day.I go in for my scheduled eye exam.. Im told my prescription hasn’t changed at all (odd) then asked to pay an additional $89 because I got a contact-lens eye exam. CONTACT EYE EXAM???? I was NOT informed or even aware I took an additional contact-lens exam. The receptionist shrugged her shoulders at me and said that’s the cost and I had to pay it now or else theyll hold onto my deposit on my glasses. In disbelief trying to sort out this misunderstanding, another employee walks over and he begins aggressively speaking louder alongside her. I was talked over while I repeatedly explained this this exam is for my eye glasses not contacts, I was not aware of this add on exam. Not single person listened to what I was saying, Next, one of them shouts across the entire floor to a lady whom seems to be the owner and asks the cost of the contact eye exam…. Not only could the “owner” not even walk across to talk to me instead she screams back across the room (with customers) that this was the cost of an eye exam and it comes with free eye drops and a carrying case. I once again explained I do not want contacts, I just purchased 3 pairs of glasses. In the most watered down way to explain what happened next, she yells back with a very disgusted facial expression and tone of voice “how did you purchase frames without a prescription to begin with”. At this point I’m humiliated to explain again, I’m a reoccurring patient with My EyeLabs.. you have my prescriptions. I forced into paying for some add on exam and I feel taken advantage of, scammed and horrible right now. I walked out in tears. The owner shouted to my mother, “The charges are written in front of the building on a poster in fine print”. We checked the posters and NOTHING about this was written in fine print… so we ask if she could kindly show us where it says this, however she refused and said “I don’t have to show you anything and I don’t have to be nice to you”. In the end I was refused a refund for the contact-lens exam.I’m born and raised in Cooper City and was very excited to see a new location open up nearby. However this place is the furthest thing from the kind places we are lucky to have in our community.
From the moment I walked in the door the staff at this location was welcoming and helpful. They were able to get my insurance number for me and show me my benefits undery new plan. The technicians are kind and cautious as they are still practicing best CDC health guidelines and helping the customer feel safe and comfortable. The eye doctor was awesome with a great personality while assessing my individual needs. I cant believe the staff picked out the best frames for my eye shape and skin tone while keeping the frame young and fun. Thanks Eye Lab!
My experience here was great! Robin was extremely helpful and very friendly. She’s a very fun person and the eye exam was super quick. Got a discount on my glasses and left happy and the process was quick. Great music by the way.
Extremely disappointed with the call center service. I made an appointment for eye exam with doctor. But when I arrived at the store, they told me that doctor is not available and the exam is done virtually. How come the customer service guy didnt tell me anything about this when I made the appointment? I had to move my plans for this doctors appointment and I cant believe that it was for nothing. Is this how your place works? Very irresponsible! Not only that, the eyeglasses are VERY expensive too! Not a place that I would recommend.
My husband and I were out in just under an hour. Only took a long time choosing what pair of glasses we wanted since it was buy one get one free!!! So excited to get them. They are all so professional sweet and fast! We LOVED our visit here!

The staff was really nice and helpful and the selection was really good. I’ve been to other locations where the selection is limited for the buy one get one frames but here I was able to pick from any frames I would like to. Overall very good experience.

Great price for 2 pairs, but wish they have more selections for $59. Theres a lot more options with BOGO though. I walked in today and didnt have to wait too long around 3pm.

I tried to go to my original eyeglass spot (I won’t name names) and they were only taking reservations and didn’t have any openings. I needed to get this done today and I decided to call here to see if they could see me. They had an opening and was able to see me right away. I just have to say what a warm and friendly staff! Very efficient and answered all my questions. They walked me through step by step all the details I needed to know. This is only my second time getting glasses. Even though this place is out of my insurance network I will still be a return customer due to the amazing customer service! Thank you!

This place has horrible customer service. Extremely rude. Especially the manager. She had no respect and even talked down to my wife. We dont expect to be treated like royalty, but when there are issues with your system and your product, you better know how to resolve them professionally. Low class employees with no proper training and manners. Do not waste your money. The promo is not even worth it. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable optical and a professional optometrist. There isnt even a DR onsite to do your eye exam. The eye exam was done virtually and really fast. The DR is on site only once a month. Who wants to deal with that when you can easily get your PROFESSIONAL optometrist to provide you with much better health expertise and an optical that you can easily go to and they can help you resolve your problems without an attitude, no matter if you spend $100 or $1500. We went there only since they were the closest to our home and not because of the promo. We found out about the promo when we got there. So here we go again, spending money to go get a good eye exam done and waste our time shopping for glasses. Thank you My Eyelab for making me waste my time shopping, going back and forth driving to the store, and at the end the aggravation with the store manager.
The service is very professional and Robyn was very helpful and Maria assisted with my contact lens and she is very nice and have a good customer service.
Selection of glasses is ok. Very small glasses only. No designer glasses. Misleading information about the PD. They will not take the PD if you don’t get the glasses with them.Very confusing when it came down to bringing my own glasses. If you’re looking for designer glasses go somewhere else.
My husband and I walked into My eyelab last week. It was our first time there and to our surprise, we were attended to very quickly, and was out within half an hour. I have never been to an eye care center and gotten through so quickly. The customer service was great and we were very satisfied. We would definitely recommend My eyelab to friends and family.

The exam process was quick and efficient however they told me my glasses would take no more than 2 weeks. The website stated they would be in by today however now it is scheduled for another week! I paid almost $800 for my glasses and still have to wait another week!! Now it is 3 weeks ! I should have gone to vision works because at this point this is a liability and unacceptable! The manager on site is the most unprofessional, rude, nasty person. I cannot even fathom how she is a manager. I called to ask about my insurance, which on my initial visit she told me my insurance wasnt for eye (it is), then I called her back to inform her of that and she immediately said oh were not in network WITHOUT even checking my plan!! She then got upset with me because she has provided incorrect information the entire process from day one to today 2 and a half weeks later (still no glasses). I am in customer service and I have never in my many years of helping guests lied or assured someone that I know something without checking first, good rule of thumb is, if you dont know ASK!!
Great service. I had a 10:00 appointment and was in to see Maria after filling out some forms. Once my exam was finished, I looked at some frames and Robyn was helpful in selecting the right lenses. Will definitely be back.

Bad attention yesterday at noon I went to look for a contact earring since my other lenses were broken, it lasted an hour at the reception and nobody attended me I had to return to my work I call to verify which is the best option and the fastest they give me a Poing Men arrived at 6:25 in the afternoon yesterday at 6:10 and informed me that she supposedly never received a phone call where they told me that the doctor had left at 5:00 pm in the afternoon. I could not solve with you, it seems to me a lack of respect that you play like this with such an important need.

Specifically told Eyelab that I need a certain brand of contacts or else my eye will irritate - they said that they dont have it, so they gave me their next best brand. I decided to try them on for only an hour just to feel how they are on my eyes. My right eye was fine, until my left eye became swollen shut and bloodshot red, and completely sensitive to any light.

We went yesterday to get my boys new glasses. After so many years going to Walmart, it was such a pleasant experience. While the kids selection wasnt terribly extensive (it isnt anywhere), they didnt bat an eye when my boys tried on far too many pairs. They were patient and interactive with my boisterous boys. They worked with me on finding frames and lenses that met my budget. They helped the boys find glasses that actually fit properly and offered input on quality and style. They adjusted our old frames so theyd limp through until the new ones arrived (they were rough). We even qualified for the BOGO free promotion so my boys will have backup pairs! Overall, stellar customer service, great interaction, and great value for the price. Try them out!

I really the person that attended me. Her name is Maria Cruz and was extremely helpful.
It has a good amount of inventory, but customer service is very poor. I placed an order for my glasses on 9/30 and expected date of delivery was on 10/14. I was tracking my order on their website and it wasn’t delivered till 10/23. Called location multiple time to check the status of it and they told me I receive a call or text when it gets ready. I didn’t receive call or text so at pick time I asked why I didn’t receive any notification so the lady told me that it’s automatic system and blaming me for not calling store everyday 😂😂😂

The facility looks nice, and the personnel for the most part were nice, too.My visit fell flat when I wasnt seen for 40 minutes after my appointment time. When I got brought back to complete the preliminary exam, the gentleman didnt tell me what the exams were for or what to prepare for (i.e. youre going to feel a sharp puff of air on your eye, youre going to see a bright flash of a light for a moment, etc. like other eye exam places do).The biggest drawback to the experience was the area in which the pre-exams were done. Some of the personnel were shouting patient information - including what a patients condition was and why she needed specific contacts. This is clearly a violation of HIPAA, and one would think that personnel would attempt to be more careful when delivering confidential patient information.I took a chance on this place because of the glowing reviews, but I will not be returning here in the future.

My mother came to this location with her prescription that clearly said progressive. Paid 200 of the 344$ dollar balance and when she came to pick up her glasses she paid and then not even 10 minutes later she noticed that her glasses where not progressive. When she came back in order to get that fixed, they offered no other solutions and said she would need to pay 100$ Extra to fix the error they had made, when on the receipt it clearly had notes that she needed progressive. She was upset so she asked for a refund, which they denied to her.so that 30 day refund is pure bull. So with no other options she said she would pay the whole 100$ when she picked them up because we are in a pandemic and she won’t be getting paid until the end of the month. So now they said no and would be forced to pay the 50$ now in order to have to wait more time to get them fixed, not even because it was their mistake, it’s clear now that these people have no sympathy for others specially for others who clearly have a language barrier and rely on the papers/prescription that they are coming with. Horrible location and horrible management. Do not trust these people with your glasses.

Came to the location for some pricing quotes. Although i wasnt ready to make the plunge yet, the team there was very helpful and patient. I used to go to Americas Best but thier service is terrible. Michelle quoted me for 2 pairs of progressive lens. The best part is that its BOGO! She went over the breakdown and all the options. The price was a little out of my budget at first, but then Robin stepped in and help work with my budget. I was pleased with how nice they were and accomodating. We even had some laughs together. I will be back soon once payday comes to make the purchase
