I went there for the first time last August. Love the front desk staff and the doctor. I was little disappointed when the glasses didnt work as they were supposed to be. The girl who took my measurements and the tech in the back office asked me to bring a spare frame and they will give me a free lenses fixed to it only for reading so I can use the glasses I spent over $440 for other things. What a wonderful idea :-). But I made sure the glasses I purchased were fixed. The doctor was very kind to make everything right. They had to do the lenses for the second time. I would have given them 5 out of 5 stars if they had done what the customers ask for. I didnt want a progressive glasses and to date I am not using the glasses. I bought a blue light glass from Amazon for computers. Overall, despite of my unpleasant experience I would go back to them this year.

Update to Original Review: The front desk worked with their CC company & my bank to figure out the issue with my refund. And we were able to get it resolved. During the time it took to get things taken care of, communication improved TREMENDOUSLY. They made sure to let me know what was happening each step of the way. They even made sure I had lens waiting me when my new frames arrived at my home. They were able to turn things around and rectify the situation. Id be willing to try then again next year.Dr. Krisel is a great optometrist - very thorough!!! Everything else about this place is HORRIBLE. They are poor communicators. They dont follow up. They have attitudes. There were issues from my first visit. They got my info (name &bday) wrong EXCEPT the insurance & phone numbers. Ordered glasses that day. 3 weeks went by with NO call, NO text, NO email. Absolutely NO communication from the office. I went in and asked and the glasses were there. They tried to tell me they texted, called, & left a VM. LIES!!! No missed called. No unopened text message. No voicemail. Then the glasses were WRONG!!! Attempted to order new ones & they gave me the runaround. Said they call me to let me know the next steps. I had to call them back. Then, there was the attitude as if I was bothering them. Was supposed to hear back after they reached out to the vendor. Radio silence. I went in to get an update since I was in the area. Was told (with an attitude) if I didnt want to wait to see if they could even order the glasses by the end of the week I could get a refund. How do you have an attitude with me after nearly ONE month of poor communication?! I got my refund & one of the women had the nerve to laugh at my frustration. Believe the reviews about the front desk!

This was my first time here at krisel family eye care and am telling you my Experience here was wondering great worker fast service I feel at home am telling you great people great stuff I recommend this place to everyone my bestie going there too and she gonna love the place…. Clean please smell great can’t ask for a better eye/care please am gonna be one of the loyal customer

👎👎👎👎👎This place is so unorganized. The staff does not communicate with each or with customers. I booked an appointment yesterday for 1030 for the next day. I received an email with a 1030 time. The following day they call me to confirm that my appointment is at 1100. I told them them I booked the appointment for 1030 and she said yes it was her mistake. 10 minutes later I get a remind text message that my appointment is for 1100. I then call them back to confirm which time it was. They got an attitude on the phone and kept insisting it was at 1100. Now I know you changed my appointment time and then get an attitude with me when I’m trying to understand what’s going on. If you needed me to come in later that’s fine but at least have the decency to let me know instead of making me feel like I’m crazy IF THEY CANT GET THERE STUFF TOGETHER DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR EYES (Here are photos of my two emails less then 24 hours apart)

The doctor and staff are very kind, but they always make a mistake with the glasses, they are always wrong . Always!!!!!

Due to my busy schedule and now COVID-19, I kept putting off my trip to the eye doctor. Then, last week, I saw a pocket of hours open in my schedule. So I started searching for a place near me. I have diabetes, so it was important to get an experienced doctor. I called the office at 11 am and got a same day appointment for 11:30 am. First thing I noticed was sign on the door to wear a mask and wash your hands. Everyone was friendly. I saw the doctor right away. All of the equipment was wiped down and a very thorough examination pursued. There was a large array of frames to choose from. I got expert advice and was fitted for a perfect fit. I was able to use my optical and medical insurance. I love my new eyeglasses. I highly recommend Krisler Eye Care Center!

The Dr answered all of my many questions and informed me of a lot! Marissa from the front helped me pick out a wonderful pair of glasses. Would highly recommend.

Great experience. I was shopping around for a better price on some pricey premium progressive lenses after getting a new prescription from my regular eye doctor who also doesnt have a good selection of frames that work for me. That, and the price they were charging for my lenses seemed high so I decided to shop around, and am so glad I did! I called before I went and got a good price on the lenses so I decided to go by and look at their frames as well. The Optician, Marissa, and the girl working the front desk greeted me with a warm welcome and were so friendly and helpful. I had planned to go check out another place before making a decision, but their great attitude, willingness to listen and provide genuine advice and feedback sold me, and I went ahead and placed my order. Its so refreshing when you go to a place with employees who give great customer service. Its just not as common as it used to be, and I so appreciate it!

I actually enjoy coming to this eye doctor. The staff is always nice and welcoming. I purchased beautiful fendi glasses a few months ago and I am so happy to this day. I can see so much better with my new prescription. The doctor also made some recommendations as far as eye drops and other things I should do to continue care for my eyes. I recommend Dr. Krisel due to his thorough care and detailed explanations but also because of his wonder staff!

Going to the eye doctor can be intimidating but Krisel Eye Care Center is the exception to the rule. Dr Krisel is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He will talk you through every step of your exam and tell you what steps you can take in your everyday life to keep your eyes healthy. The rest of the staff will treat you like family. The handles of my rimless glasses had come unscrewed: they immediately offered to fix them. When does that ever happen?! They have a great array of frames. I have been going to Dr. Krisel for over 25 years! He has the most amazing staff that has been with him for as long as I’ve been going. Excellent doctor, extremely thorough, professional and knows my whole family as well. Marisa can do amazing things with frames to make you look good, even when you have no idea what you want. I just leave it to her, always! She is phenomenal! Nancy and the rest of the staff are equally incredible. If you need an eye care center that is truly the best in the business this is it! Ive tried some “cheaper” places that did nothing and wanted more money by the time they added everything in.

My husband and I have been going here for a few years now. Both ODs are great, very knowledgeable and fantastic bedside manner! I love that they have all the fancy equipment for a comprehensive exam. The frames selection is good and the staff takes time to make sure you understand your insurance benefits. They take customer service seriously and really go above and beyond. I would and have highly recommend. Overall exceptional experience.

I have been wearing contacts/glasses for over 50 years and have been to many many places for them. Today.....I went to Krisel Eye Care and am so happy with the way I was treated. Everyone was extremely nice and very informative. I am so happy I had the opportunity to come here and will never be able to go to another place again. P.S. They did not force me to buy anything and what I did have to buy was very very affordable.I cant tell you how good that feels.

I was surprised that the receptionist didn’t had my appointment in her schedule because I called the day before to take appointment for eyes exam. I have been lucky was free and he could see me even if my scheduled appointment wasn’t in their computer. But the doctor was really nice and responded to all my questions. The lady that helped me to choose a frame for my glasses give me good options for my taste and in less than 10minutes, I found the right frame for me. Happy with the service I received. I would give 5 stars if the receptionist would have scheduled me in the computer when I called the day before.

Very thorough eye exam which was not rushed. Wide selection of frames with some very special deals. Wonderful atmosphere with a very friendly staff. Very accommodating as I was a walk-in and was treated like I was a long time patient. I highly recommend Krisel Eye Care.

Absolutely amazing experience! Nothing but nice workers who are there to help with everything. Starting from walking in and the front desk having everything taken care of as soon as I walked in. The doctor answered any and every question I had in a very simplistic manor. The finance was able to guide me in the right direction in regards for pricing, insurance and rebates. Highly recommend and will be taking all of my future eye care business to them!

The receptionist (Nancy) is nice and quick to get you set up and ready for the Dr. Also, she explained the insurance benefits that way you get more for less. The office manager (Marissa) is patient a d helpful in selecting frames and explaining all options for the frames and the warranty that comes along with it. Dr. Alvaro is thorough and takes the time to fully explain the exams and the results. Also takes the time to assure that you feel comfortable with the contacts you selected.

Its not often I recieve good customer service in South Florida but this place definitely deserves 5 stars. Everyone is the office is so helpful and kind. I happened to be walking by and went in, loved their selection and even though they had a full schedule they were able to squeeze me in which was much appreciated! Definitely found my new eye doctor 😁

Went with my husband to replace his 3-year old glasses and got a beautiful new pair of glasses and a pair of Rx sunglasses. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They were very patient...we must have tried on 25 pairs of glasses and we never felt rushed at all. My husband was very pleased with the exam Dr. Krisel gave him. I located this eye care center 2 years ago while attempting to find a facility somewhat near my home that could create drill mount, rimless, prescription glasses plus add a tint to the lenses (more difficult to find a place than one would think!) They got the job done without issue. I thought since the clinic is less than 10 minutes from my house, and I badly needed an eye exam, why not try it out. Im glad I took the chance (Im an Occupational Therapy Practitioner & Vision Therapist so usually my expectations are high). I was not disappointed at all. The office staff were friendly & helpful, the Optician was knowledgeable, kind & the same great lady from 2 years ago and Dr. Alvaro was patient, gave a very thorough exam and answered any questions I had. She also made sure I was comfortable with the prescriptions for my contacts and glasses before I exited the exam. Both Rxs were ready within one week! Very pleased with the overall experience...😀

Went to doctor Krisel for a few years while living in Davie. He was great and I never had any issues UNTIL last time I got my eyes checked. I went to get a pair of glasses somewhere else and the optometrist said my prescription was written wrong so he wanted to call and double check. Sure enough they had written it BACKWARDS! The explanation the girl gave on the phone was that he just signs the prescriptions and someone else writes them. If thats the case they might want to give the prescription pad to someone who knows what theyre doing. I wore my contacts in THE WRONG EYE for about a year.
