I had returned my Suburban within two weeks due to driver door not locking up, starter will not crank motor and front passenger door trims falling off. In the Service Department I felt as if I was treated as a VIP customer, the service representative Patrick is an excellent agent addressing all my needs as expected. The service department is excellent with workers like Patrick and I am grateful for this kind of treatment. Thank You CarMax!

My second good experience at Carmax. Got $3000 more than I expected on my trade. Very satisfied with my purchase. The people were great. Business dept was slower than expected and waiting for the car to be cleaned was a drag but they did a great job with the cleaning. I would not go any place else for a stress free car buying experience. It was worth the wait IMO.

I was hesitant to sell my car via “online offers”. I tried 3 different companies. CarMax offered me the highest amount for my car and they had a local office I could take my car to. Made the appointment, took my offer and within the hour they had everything ready on their end. All the staff was informative and friendly. I was given my draft/check after about another hour. I deposited in my account and now I just received an email from my car loan company that my account was paid in full. (I still owed on my car. CarMax paid them what I owed and paid me the difference). Honestly very surprised how EASY the whole process was. Loved it! Will definitely use CarMax again!

It was the first time I was buying a used car in decades, and it was a great experience. Got the financing approved online and the process was quick and no-nonsense. Checked inventory online and that tool is exceptionally good. Went to the store to check out the car, it was easy, and the rep was experienced and friendly. The car was as expected, went back to close, and drive away. Had another pleasant experience with a well-managed process that took less than one hour. The store was clean and COVID measures were in place. I ill definitely buy my next car at CarMax.

I purchased a mercedes benz slc 300 with a bad navigation that needed to be fixed by Mercedes Benz and had to pay $ 750.00 out of pocket that . I was not reimbursed for that amount as was promised.

She did everything from helping me pick a car to financing. On signing day. I met salesman Scott upon arrival at the Ft. Lauderdale location.. I literally signed and drove! Visited for a car appraisal. 45minute wait so decided to peruse the car lot for something for our Son to pass the time. Nearly every car I looked at had worn interiors and/or stripped/damaged rims.

It was a great experience with helpful staff, particularly Simi, who was knowledgeable about different payment options. It was a breath of fresh air compared to other car dealerships who are just trying to swindle you for money. I am very satisfied with my CarMax experience, and would consider buying from there again.

He gave no pressure just assurance. I was 100% honest about my existing car issues to trade in and I think that matters. The in person offer matched the preliminary online offer. Horrible customer service, bought a 2018 used rav4 a month ago, sales man realized the vehicle had OXIDATION in the INTERIOR of the tail light. Sales man tell me to take it to detail to fix the issue that they will reimburse me the amount pay. Took vehicle to detail and the issue of OXIDATION couldnt be fix so brought the vehicle back for ( carmax) to fix the problem. Now they claim that because is not a cosmetic issue they cannot do anything. Maybe waist 3 days of my precious life for nothing. At all this the manager rude saying the tail light were having condensation buildings up in the tail light, he really didnt know the difference between condensation and OXIDATION. The problem was OXIDATION as because for the was condensation they didnt want to fix the issue. OXIDATION fall in the category of cosmetic not condensation. And give me the typical runaround. Worst customer service ever.

Initially the call center rep, Jon seemed very helpful and informative but sooner after arriving to the actual location in Davie FL it was clear he was only trying to make a sale. The car itself was NOT clean although he assured me over and over it would be, the mileage was not what their site reflected and I had to have that also corrected. The reason for my 3 stars is simply because they were quick to deal with whatever issue I presented. I love the car after it being clean and hope I don’t have to return it. Overall great, I was skeptical about the online appraisal but they did offer the same after the in-person inspection of the vehicle. Made selling the vehicle pretty painless! Yes I will recommend Carmax, and will use them again.

I arrived at the dealer with just under a hour before it closed. They attended to me quickly and gave me an offer on my car pretty fast. If say that it couldnt be better but my agent Al made me feel like it was an inconvenience to come in at that hour. I would have been there sooner but I worked and then went straight there. I mean if he didnt like the time I got there, that appt shouldnt have been available. Nonetheless, it was a decent experience.

We have purchased several cars there but I feel after this transaction, there will not be anymore. We have always felt to be treated honestly but after taking your offer and now seeing what you are selling the car for, that has not been the case. At the time, we asked for higher offer, but were rejected. We took the offer as, I have said, to be always treated honestly, but not this time.

Got to CarMax around 1pm and spoke with some to have our vehicle appraised and said it would take around 45 minutes which it did, once we were given the value of the vehicle we said we would like to proceed to see our vehicle and pay the negative balance. From here we were told to go to the business center and present our info so they can pull out payoff and we’re told this would take an hour which it did. We were then called up by an associate to ask questions and told to pull up our vehicle which we did and were told the process can take 30 minutes to an hour to complete which we sneered at since we have a 8 month old Daugther which was behaving well but was starting to get cranky. Now another lady comes up to tell us there is a problem with another lien on the vehicle which we wouldn’t now about since we bought the vehicle from Hgreg about a year ago. My complaint is the process, I did finance for 7 years and an appraisal when busy can take 10-15 since it’s literally looking at the vehicle entering it into an app to see comps and to give the info to the salesman or the manager to give to the client. A real dealership with a finance manager can pull a payoff in minutes with the correct info which we provided and from that moment they check to see if the vehicle has a lien can advise the client if there is a problem but to be stuck at the dealer for 4 hours to wait for this info is just plain inconsiderate. I am 3 miles from CarMax and will never do business with them ever and I would advise future clients to go to a dealer with real salesman and a finance team.

Besides the wait time for final processing, it was a great experience. I was extremely impressed that Carmax truly honored the quoted price. It was a quick and seamless process.

Got an appraisal for my car from Mr. Johnson. Was quick and easy. Not even 15 minutes to complete. The two men I spoke to were very polite and professional. They gave me a great price for my car too!Going to a couple other places for appraisals to compare, but if I do end up doing business with carmax by selling my car to them, I look forward to going back again. My review is for the Service Dept not the sales dept. After 4 repairs I decided to take my Durango to the dodge dealer, for my surprise they find Not the correct oil which damage the oil sensor, flush oil, change PCV valve, etc.As I recall my last conversation with the CarMax service manager they use cheap oil and parts, if you want better services go to the dealer.You may buy the car with CarMax, buy the extended warranty, which is valid in any manufacturers dealer services, but never used CarMax services, not even for oil change.

I was told the sell part of the car would take 1 hour. After 2 hours waiting and zero communication I tracked down a managerHe then told me it would me at least 2 more hours. NO COMMUNICATION. I will never use car max again and will tell every one how bad of an experience I had.

The salesmen and management are uninformed about their fiduciary obligation to their customers. Corporate needs to train the management at this location to protect peoples information.

I received an offer for my car on-line and made an appointment at the Ft.Lauderdale facility for 1:30 on May 21, 2021. Upon arrival the appraisal was effeciently completed and the offer was verified. At the business window I was told it would be 3 hours before I could be processed.So I left. The next morning i returned at 9AM and was paid within 30 minutes.

This was the second time I’ve bought a car through Carmax and it was another great experience! It was seamless and very easy. The whole process took only 3 hours. Much faster than I remember it being before. I’d go back there every time to get a car! The sales person, Robert was very nice, knew what he was doing and was really helpful.

Worst experience ever. On a Monday morning I called their main number, to ask some questions about a new purchase. WARNING: This place does not even answer their own phones. They do not want a direct customer experience. They outsource their calls to a call center in an entirely different state, because they dont want to deal with customers. And the people who answer the phones at the call center have no idea what theyre doing. I had to speak to several different people who asked me the same questions and I was on hold for over 25 minutes. Im going elsewhere.

Trying to sell you car at CarMax was simple at first. I went online, input my car information and got a quote that lasted 7 days. I then went down to the CarMax in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and the process to get my appraisal was also very easy and took about 10 minutes in total.Now this is where the mess begins. The Business Department can I relate it to being at the DMV. Long waits, slow employees and the customer service is really lacking. To me, this will make me rethink selling a car at CarMax again.Greg

I stoped in at Carmax to just appraise my car before going to see a Ram 1500 Rebel at a other dealership. I happened to stroll outside and find a 2016 Ram 1500 sport with alll the equipment i was looking for and well priced! Steve was very helpful and not pushy at all. I told him that i had to go see another ram and ill be back. When we went to the other dealership i was greeted by the salesman holding a Cigar in his hand and smoking outside. We proceeded to go on a test drive and I could smell the cigar in the car. I quickly left that place amd head back to see Steve. The application process was quick with no games and no need to step into a finance office. I have to say I was surprised how well and efficiently this company is. Thank you Steve!

Mark Pingo. If your buying a car here this is your man. I went with the home delivery option and he made sure everything went smooth as best possible. They did miss my original delivery window without a call which I had to cancel. The 2nd window worked and was very good. Loved the car but the driver window was broken and needed a part so I set an appt with Rodney In service...great man. Unfortunately they needed to hold the car for the entire day...no loaners when same day..so I ubered home rather than waiting all day. I asked for reimbursement and was granted...however waiting for payment may take 30minutes. All in all good experience.

I must admit I was very skeptical about this. the estimate I received on line was right in line with what kelly blue book said I should get. I was sure that went I got to Carmax they would try to get the price down. To my delight the online estimate was what I got. This by far the best dealer experience I have ever encountered. I will say the dealership was spotless. I felt very comfortable.

Just want to thank Ralph and Christina for a great experience. We had some special needs in selecting the right vehicle. Ralph took time to help us do some research so we were able to determine a Honda Odyssey was the right choice for us. Christina explained all of the paperwork and asked us numerous times if we had any questions, so the signing was easy. I made a reservation and someone from the CarMax called me to set up the appointment the following day, everything is good right? Wrong! On the day of the appointment, they told me my reservation has been canceled, without noticing me, and then to add insult to injury, assigned my reserved vehicle to someone else, telling me there’s nothing they can do!
