French cafe and market right next to Salt Creek. Came here on on a Saturday around 1pm and there was a short line, but it moved fairly quickly and we were able to grab an outdoor table for two. You order first and then they provide you with a number placard for your table. Parking is available in the small lot. Credit cards are accepted. Casual dress code (I wore a swimsuit top and shorts with no complaints). Outdoor dining only. The croissant breakfast sandwich I ordered came with a side of green salad. I had the choice of bacon or ham and opted for the ham. It was like a small omelet slid between a croissant, with a small bit of melted cheese inside. It was fairly filling but you could probably eat more. The small chocolate tart was cute and not too sweet, which is good if you want something decadent but not saccharine.
Upscale French Pastry Cafe. Youll tend to see this place busy during peak hours. The cafe itself is very small inside. Staff was friendly enough and I tried one baked item which was pretty darn good, the cappuccino was so-so. There is some seating available both inside and out with one bathroom.Parking may be an issue. If you have time to spend this would be a good place to chill with some french salads, sandwiches, crepes, and some fancy pastries.
I ordered the Crepe Nutella and fruits on the side to go. Wish they could add fruits on the Crepes like bananas and stawberries.Aside from this, I greatly enjoyed the customer service o received from a nice Persian gentleman. He was very welcoming and tried his best to make my visit to this shop the best one yet. Thanks so much!
Staying at the Ritz Carlton or the Waldorf Astoria. Walk over to Moulin and have breakfast or lunch. Same for taking a walk at Salt Creek. Next to the parking lot, it makes you feel like you are traveling in Europe. The food is French, fresh and delicious. It makes your walk feel special. If you have ever traveled in Europe and and leave the hotel to grab a bite to eat at a little café, well this is the same thing.
I have been looking for a tasty quality pastry almost 5 years, since I moved in US. Everything was plus minus the same: Over sugary, almost plastic, chemicals. But when I tried french bakery from Moulin, oh my gosh.. absolutely delicious! Definitely the best croissant, eclair. Recommended!
So Happy I got there when it opened the while case was full of all their delectable treats. I love the staff, so attentive & helpful. The food is always great!
Ordered our food no issues. Breakfast and coffee came on time. Enjoyed meal with family. Good eats!
Cappacino and Americano were delicious. Pastries were nice but not spectacular. Wonderful little area to kick back and relax. Wonderful service and baristas.
So disappointed. We need a great cafe in this location. Perhaps they are struggling with staffing and will improve. Omelets were overcooked. Coffees were sub-par. Outdoor patio and tables were not clean. Their pastries looked good that may be their saving grace for now.
This place opened right when the pandemic really hit our area and I am very impressed that it hasnt hindered their quality of product or service. The menu is brief but I hope to try everything on it someday. Graves an LOmelette Nature for lunch and was so happy with it. Very filling and delicious and comes with some tasty slices of bread 😋 Husband got a nutella crepe which he inhaled in about 10 seconds and he confirmed it was delicious. We will be back again for more!
The best French restaurant in orange county and the best desserts and artistic. It makes you feel like you are in France when you dine here.
The most authentically European cafe around. Great coffee, pastries, and ambiance.
Wonderful. Love the food. Great service
Not worth it.. So expensive for the location not for the food or drinks..
Excellent! Great food and service! Very clean! ❤
Crepes are really good!! Very friendly staff
Amazing food! The patisserie is incredible and the brunch food was amazing.
Snazzy place, but quite expensive.
I love this little cafe. The staff is, without exception, polite, friendly, and helpful.Cappuccino is delicious and aways comes with a little square of good chocolate.Pastries are visually appealing and they do not disappoint!
We checked online and they were supposed to close at 3pm. We arrived there at 2:45. They said both their kitchen and their coffee machine was already closed. I’m not sure if it’s company policy to stop serving before closing time or the staff just wanted to go home. Either way, what a disappointment! We miss PDM at this location. No comparison.
I like this little cafe, they have good selection and tastes authentic. I had the prosciutto panini, so delicious. It reminded me of my trip to Paris last fall.
Good but over priced.
Amazing service. Fresh. Great staff
Best restaurant I have ever gone to really authentic French food tastes just like being in back in France I got the apricot tart sweet and filling and the apple turnover so so flaky
Everything about it is great!
Always perfect. Always the nicest people working there, and the food is divine.
Service and food were both excellent!
AVOID THIS PLACE. We visited it yesterday for lunch around 1:15. In a nutshell, very poor lunch items selection, very bad service, and food quality in relation to cost is very poor. Even their coffee (espresso) was well below a low average!Interestingly, this morning I heard from a friend who told me that they also went there for.lunch and their experience was identical to ours. Ive been to other Moulin locations many times before (Laguna Beach and Irvine), and it has always been below average, at best. However, this new location appears to have opened without the necessary preparation and training. We will never go back to any Moulin, there are so many other cafes and coffee shops out there!
The people in there are very friendly and the pasterie is very yammy real French not fake
I went there last week and bought a apple turnover and it was great with chunks of apples. Today we went back for the same thing and it was filled with purée apple sauce/baby food. No apples. The staff is rude and untrained there coffee taste burnt.
Burnt croissant
Everything was wonderful!!... the staff, food and atmosphere!
Pricy but good food and coffees!
This place is a bit unorganized.
Love the french pastries. Friendly staff
Great food
Croissants, quiche, onion soup, oh my!
