The best coffee place weve ever been. Amazing customer service and all around amazing people! Would give more stars if I could! Plus coffee/Pastries were AMAZING.
Was looking for a new coffee place and came across Bear Coast Coffee. Once i saw the Lavender Caramel Latte I had to try it! I love Lavender lattes but not every place makes them right. This one was amazing! I got mine iced and the coffee, Lavender and Caramel are balanced just right! Definitely in my top 2 of all Lavender lattes Ive tried. Also great costumer service they were friendly, informative and provided speedy service. Thanks again for the great drink ladies!-From a Swifty! ✌️
Great coffee, food menu looked good but didnt try anything. The vanilla nutmeg latte with oat milk was delicious. Only one size is offered for most drinks, 12 oz for hot, 16 oz for cold. Great outdoor seating area with tables and chairs, and a kids table as well. Theres also a few tables inside. Great atmosphere and the baristas were very friendly.
The breakfast burrito was hands down, best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. The two sauces paired with it were so different but equally delicious. Beautiful art mural inside on the walls. Ample seating outside with a farmers market across the street. Chai latte was pretty sweet and the americano was a little burnt. I added the americano to my chai latte to balance the sweetness and it was delicious.
I dont understand why this place is so hyped up. A small plain coffee is over $3 which is ridiculously over priced. Not only that, their coffee tastes like it has cleaner fluid in it, which I would know from cleaning out my kurig. Maybe if you guys taste test your own coffee you would understand what I mean because what youre serving to your customers is unsatisfactory. People are better off going across the street to the Buena Vista Market to get their coffee because of how little it costs and also because their large coffee is way more cheaper than your guys small coffee. Not only that, their coffee tastes more fresh and doesnt have the taste of cleaning chemicals in it. Also, all of my coworkers and clients who have ever gone to Bear Coast had nothing but complaints also. So, fix up your act Bear Coast Coffee or just take the Coffee out of the name for the sake of your other customers because I am not going back here again.
Amazing food and coffee. Great vibe. Classy. Protected staff and customers during COVID. Thanks for being a respite.
Super friendly staff
Wasn’t head over heels impressed with coffee but cute aesthetic
Very good coffee. Nice outdoors seating to stay and enjoy your coffee.
Great new location in Dana Point! Nice space with good outdoor seating... Always love their cold brew and their seasonal lattes... I had their tumeric latter with oat milk and an add shot and it was delicious... They also have rotating flavors of kombucha which my mom appreciated on Mothers Day... Always great service as well...
Best coffee in Orange County. Staff is friendly and they make an awesome Pumpkin Spice Latte in the Fall/Winter season (the syrup is made from scratch). Almond milk is also made in house and it tastes great. It actually steams quite nicely. Caramel lavender latte is also tasty. They have breakfast burritos on the weekends; they sell out regularly so get them early! I usually go to the Farmer’s Market afterwards on Saturday mornings.
Very friendly service but the coffee was not good. I ordered an iced vanilla lavender latte with oat milk but the ratio seemed off. All I could taste was milk. I didn’t get any hint of lavender or caramel in my drink. Maybe try a hot coffee if you go here. There has to be a reason for the long line. Maybe it’s for the food??
Another great hometown coffee house. So glad we kicked the Starbucks thing. There are so many great hometown coffee houses
Favorite cappuccino and oatmeal with berries EVER!
One of my favorite so-cal coffee spots. The classic latte is my go to!
Great Service!! Good coffee ☕ on Sunday Farmers Market
Friendly service, great food (get the Ava toast classic)...coffee is a bit expensive for the size served.
So nice to have Bear Coast in Dana Point. Delicious foods and coffees made with creativity and heart.
If you are a decaf coffee drinker, this is NOT the place for you. My husband got a regular coffee which he thought was fine but my decaf cappuccino was terrible. It was very bitter and tasted like burned rubber or something nasty. I considered driving back to the shop to complain but it would be a waste of time so I just trashed it...
Coffee was very good and very quick. Had a selection of baked goods plus breakfast meal items. My husband had the ham & cheese croissant and really enjoyed it. We did wait in line for a bit on Saturday morning, but there was also a Farmers Market right outside so they probably get busy from that. Would recommend.
Best coffee ever!!! Dream about this place!
I absolutely love to come here, get some work done on my laptop, and enjoy the people watching. The vibe is super casual and you can tell the employees are their own little family. It makes for a really inviting atmosphere! The coffee is great too. As for food, try the avocado toast!
I have been coming to bear coast since San Clemente first opened their location...Dana point is closer so I started going there...their coffee tastes good but for $6 a drink, I expect my drink to be filled to the top, especially since their “large” is already too small. This is the 3rd and final time. Will no longer recommend bear coast.
Great service, great coffee, and very COVID-safe.
Ordered iced coffee. Got water with a hint of sour coffee. So watered down. Asked for half/half, the girl poured something quick. Went back to ask for more half/half, the other barista helped but was looking all over for the half/half. She said we’ve been out. Ridiculous. Never going back.
South county is good sometimes. luv u bear coast, one of the few shops Ill drive more than half an hour for.
Very good food, ok coffee
This place has food and drinks that people with food preferences and allergies can enjoy! I had one of their chocolate and raspberry donuts with a horchata latte. The GF donut had a cake consistency, very chocolaty, and tasted good when dipped in my coffee. The staff is friendly and feels energetic! A very modern and simple place to get coffee and breakfast.
I love going here for doing some work. Great vibe and options on the menu. I haven’t tried any of their food but look forward to it in the near future. Always some parking available. And the kombucha is a solid option any time of day.
Cute Dana Point coffee shop, with high quality beverages and snacks. Breakfast burritos on the weekends.
My Son, Daughter-in-Love, and Grandsons come here after Church on Sundays ~ what a great tradition! EVERYTHING is GOOD (altho I do prefer my hot chocolate to be a bit more chocolaty). My very favorite item Bear Coast Coffee serves: their absolutely scrumptious avocado toast!
Smiling service from the start! First time in shop. I tried Lavender Caramel Latte with Oat milk! Smooth, creamy, just the right touch of flavor and not too sweet. The breakdast burrito was fresh and an explosion of flavors ! Burrito had a slightly crisp tortilla which was a nice touch! Clean, simple, straight forward environment. Will definitely revisit soon.
Cuteness with lots of bear touches. The complete experience with their own brand beans, pastries and branded clothing. Most importantly the coffee is great (and Im fussy) with top notch ingredients that include their own home made almond milk.
Closed, but your Google listing says youre open for takeout. Should probably fix that so people like me dont drive down here for nothing. Good coffee though.
It was a decent drink, but nothing mind blowing.
Cold brew was not very good. However the pistachio crossant was delicious.
Excellent service and delicious foods!
Great new place for ☕ and great energy. Loved the 80s music, stop by for a better coffee experience.
My absolute favorite local coffee spot. I love being a regular a quad oatmilk latte is my go to!
Had coffee this coffee In SC pretty good. Very disappointed this morning. Ordered coffee to go stood waiting a while because the name they called was wrong and the coffee sitting for a few minutes was in a regular cup. Once the girl realized it was mine she pour the semi warm cup into a to go cup and never offered a new cup. Sorry but we paid too much for a semi cold coffee. Hopefully this post will help your business
I had heard so many great things about this place and tried it out a few months ago. I was very disappointed with the coffee. The coffee tasted burnt and it had a sour aftertaste. The customer service was poor and it was expensive. I would rather go to Starbucks than here any day. At least at Starbucks you get decent tasting coffee for the price you pay.
I’m a person who always makes coffee one of my top destinations anywhere I travel. These guys do coffee better than anyone in Dana Point, and maybe anywhere else for that matter. I’m lucky to live down the street! Oh ya, and don’t forget to try their crackalicious cookies also!
I really like this place because of their delicious tea, breakfast, and pastries. Their coffee isn’t the best but that’s not the reason I gave it three stars. The customer service is horrible. The people are not friendly, not attentive, and frankly rude. I ordered a decaf mocha, which when delivered was not decaf. They offered to fix it for me, but I could hear them talking behind the counter about it rudely. Bear Coast needs to either hire some better employees or tell their current ones that being rude to customers is NOT ok.
Was looking for a place to get some work done and came to Bear Coast coffee. Keilani made me the perfect latte and also helped recommend treats that I could have with my food allergies. She was kind and patient, would come back again!
I ordered 2 Caramel lattes, one for myself and one for my wife. It was later in the afternoon, so we decided to put the lattes in the fridge for the next day. Took a sip the next day....they forgot the Caramel. I went to talk to the manager about it the day after, her words...”that’s not likely, we will try and get it right this time”...they did not remake our drinks. Bear Coast used to be our favorite, now we call them the “coffee nazis”. Poor Customer Service and drinks are too small for the price.
Great service, great Lavendar carmel latte!
Very pleasant and friendly staff with very good coffee
The coffee is truly amazing! I get a almond milk (homemade) latte daily. Chia seed pudding when Im on the go and GF avocado toast when when I can stay. Ambience is lovely. You pay more for quality! I no longer enjoy burnt beans at Starbucks.
Delicious coffee ☕! Thats it!
Love this place but they need more tables outside. No where to sit.
Great coffee and atmosphere. A little on the pricey side but the quality is worth the expense.
Coffee King of Tri Cities - and the food is equally fantastic - but its the young, bright, and interesting staff that make it what it is.
Excellent coffee, friendly staff. The feta egg sandwich is not to be missed. Be warned - it’s messy delicious.
The coffee shop is vegan friendly.
Fantastic food and fantastic service.
A delicious third-wave coffee shop in south county.
Such a great coffee shop, holding the turw nature of what a coffee shop should be
Very kind employees and customers... My first time going there, I felt like I had been a regular for years
Very nice staff, good spot
Great cortado and house caramel lavender latte
