The curbside experience was awful. Waited 25 minutes and no one came to bring my order. When a business implements something they should make sure their employees are trained to do it

Waiting in line, 8 workers, four blowing balloons, one at register, the rest just standing around. Cashier taking his poor time talking bout eyes to the customer in front of me. So a old white man walks in and they automatically check him out. Me been standing in line ten minutes the only person in line nothing. I guess I need to be old and white to get better customer service
It was early afternoon on a Saturday and very busy! The cashiers were awesome and patient. I bought a lot of L.O.L. Surprise! Party favors and I know they are popular but the shelves were nearly empty. I felt bad getting the last of many items but still glad to have been able to get other pink and silver party favors. A lot of the girls party favors were sparse. Nonetheless, the great service makes a busy trip worth it.
Nice store, clean, organized. Crowded due to Halloween enthusiasts. Didnt have what I needed. Will visit again.

Consistently the worst retail experience Ive ever had. Employees are rude, and slow. One Employee told me it takes over 20 minutes in line EVERY weekend. Ive never seen any place run so inefficient and never change or adapt. I came for 1 balloon on Halloween and was told it was a 3 hour wait.Shelves are never organized or fully stocked. Ive finished typing the entire review before I even got checked out.Managers need to adjust the staffing
They need more employees and the customer service is bad. The store dirty and disorganized, more of the things are out stock

It would appear that the hours that were updated only a week ago aren’t accurate. Came by the week of Halloween and they were already closed by 7:00pm. Unfortunate they would be turning away so much business during their busy time of the year.
I asked to use a coupon after I paid the same day I bought it since I forgot I had it and they refused to let me use the coupon. So if you have a coupon and forget to use it dont expect them to help.

Staff are friendly but store is consistently under-staffed! They have 5 registers but never more than 2 are open. Maybe the manager could get more help scheduled??

The kids (and I do mean kids) who work here need to be trained better on customer service. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt because they are teenagers and really havent been in the professional world long enough to know how their actions are perceived by their customers.I ordered something online and opted for curbside pickup. When I got to the store, theres a sign that gives the store phone number to call to let them know youre there for your curbside pickup. I called, but the number was busy. I waited a minute, called again, busy. Finally, I decided to go in. When I walked in, there were two kids behind the counter talking. The boy saw me enter, and he and the girl left the front counter and went over to the balloon section to continue their conversation. I didnt see anyone on the phone to account for the busy signal. Another girl was fiddling with balloons and she was invited into their conversation. I waited for someone to acknowledge me.Finally, the first girl who had walked away from the counter asked if I needed any help. I told here I was supposed to pickup curbside, but the line was busy, and I needed to get my order. As she was getting it, the balloon lady went to the phone, picked it up and said, Thank you for holding, and proceeded to have a conversation. From what I saw, she had put that person on hold and went off to have a conversation with her friends. That person must have been pretty annoyed with the lengthy hold, because they had been on hold for at least as long as I had been there (about 3 minutes - being on hold any amount of time is frustrating).Anyway, the first girl comes back with my bag, hands it to me and wishes me a nice day. I opened the bag in my car to find it only had one of the items I had purchased. Now, Im annoyed. I go back into the store. The same two kids are still talking to each other. I interrupted their conversation this time and told them I was missing the hula skirt. The boy tells me that they didnt have the skirt I ordered in stock and didnt charge me for it. I asked if they had any other skirts to which he said no.As I turned to leave, I saw a whole wall of Hawaiian themed merchandise, and they did have a lot of skirts. I marched over there, grabbed what I wanted, and marched back to the counter. Granted, the hula skirt I wanted was green and they no longer had green ones. The boy could have said as much. He could have said they were out of greens but did have the natural ones. He just told me they had no more skirts.He did say to me, I bet you thought I lied about that. I said, No, I asked if you had any skirts, and you said no, but you have a ton of skirts., He said Oh, I thought you wanted to know if we had any green skirts. I just shook my head and left.Teenagers, when your customers come into the store, conversations should come to an end. Do not leave people on hold for more than 30 seconds, and if its unavoidable, check in with the caller every now and then to let them know you havent forgotten about them. Lastly, offer your customers options. If you dont have a specific color of something, see if theyre interested in another color.
Easy to order online and pick up in store. Felt awful for the staff though. Seemed like they were short staffed and had quite a bit of customers.

While being rung up, the cashier failed to bag all of our items and walked away. We asked another employee to bag the rest of our items and instead of just grabbing another bag from the little stand he first picked up what looked like a used bag then balled it up, went and got one of those red and white thank you bags which also looked used and bagged it with that. My friend still says thank you. He never responded to us or said anything at all for that matter. It was closing time but a few people were trying to make it in still. One of the employees tells a customer through the glass door read the sign. They were just rude. Do not go here!
Didnt like being followed around the store. Out shopping for my birthday and was made to feel like criminal. I quickly left the store. Trying to do a boho them birthday party which the didnt have much to pick from.

I purchased $90.85 worth of balloons and I asked for it back for them to go into the nice young lady that was when the balloons up with a brand new that the bag cost money to put the balloons. If you buy something in their does it come in a sack? Poor poor poor customer service.

Arrangement was odd. Needed to keep asking for assistance. Most Christmas table covers & napkins were up higher than I could reach.But floors were clean & no products were sitting on floor.

Actually had a great experience except for one thing.I was made to give an email address to have a receipt sent to me and was told by cashiers I had to provide one, because they were ‘graded on getting email addresses’1-why is it mandatory for your company to send me a digital email..oh actually it’s not. I have a print copy. You just make them feed that line so that you get my email and then I’m forced to take time to Unsubscribe/Spam your emails.2-Why are staff graded on emails they get when they then say the email is required???Lot of underhanded BS.

This store could be a little more put together but its great for last minute party ideas. Beware they are almost always out of helium so unless you place your balloon order in weeks ahead of time they wont be able to help out. Prices are as expected for insanely marked up plastic from China but they have a big variety and you can find some deals occasionally.

This place was messy, staff seemed underwhelmed. There are better Party City stores here in Dallas. Try those instead of this one. I can say that I have gotten better customer service at the I-20 location.

I really used to love coming to this place. Came today to get a simple little girls costume and some decorations it was an Alice-in-Wonderland costume. The gentleman that was helping me, couldnt remember which costume I had requested. 3 times that I sent him back, iPretty much just was fed up, went to the front and paid for the decorations. Worst experience trying to find one simple costume he brought me 3 different ones that I did not request. Definitely will not be back to this location

Get better rentacops. It’s incredibly ridiculous to have her stand in the entry way and make a woman holding her baby walk through the whole jam packed store to exit through THE SAME ENTRY WAY when she only opened to door, saw how busy it was, and tried to step backwards out of the threshold she was half way through. I mean what is that about?! One lady carrying a baby. Just let her take the two steps backward to outside and not fight through the horde of people.
I have never encountered a staff less helpful than here. I first went to the Party City location in Richardson looking for a costume, and they redirected me to this location. After arriving, the woman that helped me had an attitude the entire time she helped me, and then sent me to YET ANOTHER LOCATION, in which they didnt have the product either because she told me that she wouldnt call the store to check if they had it in stock, that I had to do it myself. WHICH I DID, I called the plano east location SIX TIMES and the phone would not work.Never been this angry after leaving a store. NOT COMING BACK.

They tried very little looking for the costume I was needing, they don’t have a fitting room it is a makeshift square with curtains and a 3 foot mirror, I asked if I can try on the costume in their much larger restroom. They refused. It’s a complete joke.

I was there at 4 pm and the cashier was rude after standing in line for 20 minutes. Would not let me purchase 2 balloons 21 and said its too many people. The store closed at 7 pm. They could have blew up 2 balloons. Never going there again.
They have a nice selection for decorations and costumes. The customer service could be better. The cashier didnt say a word to me and I had spoke to her and ask her about the return policy and not a word came out her mouth that time either. But she had a lot to say to her coworkers though.

The Customer Service here is terrible! You will literally need block some time out of your day to wait in line. The employees will allow a large line of customers to form waiting to check out while they chat with their coworkers and they will not acknowledge or try to help. This has happened on several occasions.
I did the curb side pickup and I got the email and text my order was ready but it wasnt I didnt have to wait long for them to fix their issue and bring it out

Was helped promptly on the phone when placing a balloon order for a company event. In and out within 10 minutes during pick up. Balloons lasted for whole event the next day and then some. Much better service than Mesquite.
There is a bunch of kids working there that have No customer service skills or training. They will look at you and not even ask if you need help. I went in on Sunday October 28th to get some birthday balloons, stood there for at least 15 minutes looking at the balloons trying to pick some out while there were 6 girls blowing up balloons watching me as I was picking them up. I walk over to a guy with his Halloween costume on and asked him who I go to so they can blow them up he proceeds to tell me they are out of helium. At this point I’m so angry because not one of those girls looking at me said anything and they weren’t out because they were standing there blowing up balloons. Thanks party city for running a party and loosing a customer
On November 23rd made our last stop for my granddaughter 3rd birthday. Customer Service was the worst. We were told to get a balloons blown up would be 1 hour and 30 minute wait time. They had 3 employees working that section. What a disappointment not to be able to get balloon for my granddaughter s Birthday.Will never give my business.
Dont call over the phone, thats the only con... if you go into the store personally than you will find everything you need. I have got everything I needed for birthdays, Halloween, and date parties (college parties) within minutes. prices are cheap, selection is great and I guess the employees depend on the location but if you really need help finding something in such a small store than you are either really impatient or a tad bit slow. no complaints except sometimes out of costume sizes (thats why the four stars) but its usually because I procrastinate and wait till the day of /day before.

Disappointed in the service I did not receive. Ordered balloons over the phone. Came in on pickup date only to find our order was lost. When I found out later they still charged my card had to come in yet again to get a refund. Only positive was at least their staff was courteous over he phone.

They are so slow. One cashier with 5 people in line. When asked if anyone can help I got a smirk instead of an apology for long wait. Should have traveled up north for better service.

The products are what youd expect. The customer service/employee presence could use some work. I dont know if theyre under staffed, under paid or just oblivious, but I had a few things I was going to impulsively purchase and walked out because there seemed to be maybe two people working and they both were completely focused on balloons. My cape purchase could wait if check out was going to take 10 minutes.
Thee absolute worst customer service. This store is pretty big and there were 5 associates at the register in the middle of a Friday ( very light traffic), not one of them on the floor to help a customer. Then I have to walk all the way to the register to ask where the clearance items are and the guy doesnt even give me proper directions to them, or better yet even show me. I left and went to the Dollar Store. All that money they want for theyre stuff and I get treated like that. Nope!!! smh
