Twice now the employees here have not only showed a kindness that you dont usually see in big chain stores (especially in a bigger town like Council Bluffs!), but they have also gone above and beyond in real customer service!! I really wish I had noticed their names because not even in my much smaller town, family owned pharmacy has ever been as helpful!! Its an unfortunate state of fact that todays pharmacies probably see the worse of our society (people mentally/physically sick, unable to afford needed medications, addicts, etc) and Ive noticed most pharmacy employees have had a shift in how decent or humane they are with customers (understandably). So, I never imagined that after I made a mistake overspending on the make up aisle (because of the nicest most helpful lady working! 🙃) before picking up my meds that I would get anything other than scorn & frustration from staff that was already extremely busy. THEY WERE SO NICE & HELPFUL!! I think they ended up needing someone from 3 different departments working together, but they fixed MY mistake so I could get my much needed script!!!!!! It is SOOOOO! worth the hour drive just for their kindness!!! I sure hope Walgreens headquarters knows & appreciates them!!!!!!

Pharmacy staff is rude, cold and slow! There is no reason for 5 people to be Im the pharmacy yet only ONE helping with both drive through And inside customers! Absolutely ridiculous, waited 45 minutes in line to PICK UP a prescription two days in a row!!!!!

I so admire this place for staying open 24 hours a day the only place in town that was willing to stay open 24 hours a day especially to help some of the nurses out who got off work late at night when all the other grocery stores town and restaurants are all closed down at least they could depend Im Walgreens they should get some type of an award for doing so, all the other places in town that used to be open 24 hours a day decided to close their doors early which contributed to the spread of the Corona virus just doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever why they did so but shame on them.

I have been trying to get my sons ADHD prescription now for several days now and they keep giving me the run around on this. They said it is out of stock called back the next day and one tech said they did have it and would fill itThen when this did not happen I called back and was told they had stock and gave it away to other patients. They refuse to transfer in io another Walgreens even though law states they can, once. They refuse to call my sons doctor. Getting extremely frustrated at this point. I have never experienced this with my prescriptions so why are they doing this with his? I have contacted the Iowa board of pharmacy and will be discontinuing the use of Walgreens pharmacies as soon as this is resolved.

Their drive through is absolutely the worst service I have ever seen. Dont expect to get anywhere fast.

It was just okay... Not very friendly as far as the staff went. Place was clean & orderly. Frustrating when trying to use the My Walgreens app to shop, because you need a WiFi connection, not data, & they no longer offer a WiFi connection.

The lady working at the pharmacy, with the dishwasher blonde hair working the counter earlier around 12:30 p.m., I was asking her for some sinus relief since my allergies were acting up and she started heading to the allergy aisles and said I needed the stronger stuff behind the counter since the stuff in the aisles never worked for me in the past, and acting like all people needing sinus relief are in need for drug use to abuse and having an attitude. She needs an attitude adjustment and a very rude girl.

3 prescriptions on auto fill...different pick up days & told this cant be 1 pick up for all 3...why? They will not offer if a coupon is available that will save you money. I wonder if there might be an alternative pharmacy?

After shopping at this Walgreens location i received a text to do a review for my shopping experience. I was offered a free gift with only shipping and handling charge of $6.95. I picked a dash cam only to be charge $79.99 today. The company that Walgreens uses for this is very un ethical for this misleading trick they pulled. DO NOT DO SURVEYS FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE AT WALGREENS!. Walgreens has always been great but they picked the wrong company to handle their surveys.

I would not recommend this place, complete rude workers.

These employees who work here are always amazing and keep their calm. People need to realize they close at 9pm not 10pm. Give these guys a well deserved break.

I went into this Walgreens for the first time today. I was trying to mail my daughters Christmas gifts and the post office ran outta large boxes. I wasn’t really expecting anything I didn’t think they would have a gift box large enough but had to try. The manager went in back and found a shipping box large enough that they just gave me. It was really awesome and saved my daughters holiday. Thank you🖤

They were so rude and not understanding at all when I was having issues with my insurance companies. They would not call the doctor to get the generic prescription until after I called the doctor myself and then told me they did not get an answer and I would have to call my on call doctor. I have NEVER had to do this at a pharmacy (or any Walgreens) before as they have always just called the doctor right away instead of me playing middle man. So disappointing. I had Influenza A and was so sick and everyone was incredibly rude. I will never return to this Walgreens.

It definitely pays to have one of their Walgreens Promo Cards. I went in for some sodas and snacks and saved $28 off my total. I recommend the card even if you only use it once.

Not pleased with the pharmacy. They gave my prescription to someone else. I recieved a text that they were out of stock on a med, I called a couple days later and I was told it was back in stock and would be filled...but then I found out that in fact it was not filled. So clearly no one knows whats going on.

One Walgreens would charge me a completely different price for medicine from a different one with the same insurance. I was paying almost 300 dollars for my medicine so I called another pharmacy. Now the total price is 7 dollars with the exact same insurance !

It can be somewhat of a wait, although that is not the pharmacists fault. They are all VERY nice and actually spend time answering any questions you have. They do not make you feel rushed even if it is SUPER busy.. which is very appreciated. Obviously if you are that busy all the time it is because you guys are great with your customers or they would end up getting their medications somewhere else. Thank you all for being VERY nice and patient even in stressful and busy days! I used to work at Best Buy Geek Squad and we were ALWAYS so busy, and I treated everyone great and was the same as you guys so its very much appreciated and I understand what its like to have a line of customers that get bored standing in line.. Just take your time with everyone because thats when they will realize how much you do care about each and everyone of your customers and wont mind the wait at all. Have a great day! :)

I went here today at 4PM to pick up a prescription and the woman at the window (white, mid 30’s) was extremely rude. She kept cutting me off and didn’t listen to what I had to say. Will not be returning.

Walgreens has the best pharmacy. The staff goes up and above. They fill my prescriptions in a timely manner. My wife peruses the toy aisle each time. They carry Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite items if you need a quick gift. You can get a little of everything at Walgreens. The late night cashiers are very professional and helpful. We participate in the balance rewards points program. Its a great program and my wife follows the coupons faithfully. We visit this store about five times a week. We will be returning. Repeat customers. Clean and well organized store. The over night 2 lady crew is amazing. They are attentive and last night they helped me pick out 27 toys to fill a pinata. I had one on one service for 20 minutes. The cashier was also great. Witty and efficient. Thank you!!!!!!

Great place to go . It would be better if you werent followed around the whole store . But very awesome prices. The cashier with no hair is very awesome and friendly.

Always in and out of the pharmacy in reasonable time, when its busy its obviously a little more of a wait. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.

I went to a bigger supermarket store before coming here and couldnt find the specific medicine my daughter will take. I went to wall greens and although it took me a minute to find it I found it. I also talked to the pharmacy and they were very helpful. I checked out and it was pretty quick.Update: April 2020Had a rude encounter with a man in the Pharmacy. I originally had a prescription at the east broadway Walgreens and they’ve sent it here to get it filled and the man was rude, telling me that they don’t have it. Never checked the shelf just looked up Info and pushed to end the call. I mean I waited 15 minutes to hav a 1 1/2 min talk.. and my questions weren’t even answered. So now the east broadway are supposed to be calling to fix their mistake.. hopefully I don’t have to keep playing phone tag.

The front counter people are typically nice but everyone else there are rude and must hate their jobs. Dont go there unless you have to. Hy-Vee is across the street and typically they are much more pleasant.

Nice little quick stop for me. Easier for smaller items than going to Walmart or hyvee and normally cheaper than hyvee but higher than Walmart.

Was at Walgreens on June 27 2017. Was standing by register at the register counter when a big Rottweiler came around the o owner to bite me on my thigh. Shockeddoesnt describe what I felt. The owner asked if the dog bit me n I said yes he d did and was going to the restroom to look at the bite .The man said the dog was a service dog in training. Like that made it okay.Took maybe ten steps toward restroom then thought Id better get his info first. T he guy, his dog, and his two buddies were already gone! I was furious. I asked the clerks at register where this guy went . The clerks said he had left. They let this man and his dog leave without even getting his info. All these clerks kept repeating was that it was a service dog in training. Over and over.Furious, I walked out the door. I told my ride what had happened. My ride said she saw three men a a huge Rottweiler walking toward south side of Broadway. We scouted the area but unable to locate the man or the dog.Came home, looked at the bite. Only one small puncture on my upper leg. I called Walgreens and talked to manager Jamah?She said she saw video. Said she tried to run after the trio with the dog. She could not have done it very fast because I spent a good minute telling off the clerks and another thirty forty seconds telling my ride what happened.The fact Walgreens concerns were directed toward this dig being a service dog and that it was in training. No effort put forth to ask the dog owner to wait, or to ask me if I was okay or ask for my information.This is totally unacceptable. At what point does the customer have any consideration?Walgreens at the Broadway location is not a store a person should go to for anything. You on your own if any injury takes place on their property. I may have to undergo rabie shots if this dog not located. Could have been easily avoided had the this man and dog had been asked about vaccinations.A person has to show Id for purchases by check and on some prescriptions. But a dog, if it was a service dog is allowed in this store and allowed to bite without question?Enter this store at your own risk.

Pharmacist yelled at me for asking about the progress of my mads being filled. Management wont even say hello. Needless to say Sams Club got all my future refills.

Takes forever anytime I come here and theyre lazy. My insurance copy did their yearly update and instead of calling and getting the new information I have to wait until I can get in touch with my mother for a new insurance card to get the medications for the infection I have. Also wouldnt use my Medicaid, which we use as a secondary but I can be primary too. Told me it can only be a secondary so I called Medicaid and asked and they said no that its primary. Again lazy, very slow, usually has terrible customer service.

Staff changes frequently. Their computers occasionally screw things up. Almost always busy and usually not enough staff to handle it.

Rude staff, gave me gruff for eating my ice cream while waiting in line for 5 minutes, I paid for it. Never coming here again!
