I am very pleased with my experience here today, this is the third time I shop here and it was great, the only down side is the long lines outside but they do move fairly quick. You do have to make a reservation to shop around, but it is well worth it. While shopping I was not rushed nor pushed to purchase anything. I actually ended up buying more than what I intended to purchase because the service was so great.1 leather case1 silicon case2 MagSafe wallets- I will update this review as I see fit
Woow, a lot of people, and the Iphone 13 Pro Max, they dont have, need to Order on line. But wll be before Chris courtesy sttention. Go there to get whst you want as soon your Order is place it.
Very busy. I would recommend setting up and appointment if you really need to visit. You will wait no matter what. Very helpful
I really like this mall it has two sections to it very big and I think an amazing selection of store brands so far one of my favorites that has as many designer stores
Staff are very busy, but friendly. It can be hard to find someone to speak with. We had a Genius Bar appointment for a battery replacement and had to search around the store for an available person to check in with. Once we did they were very friendly and offered us a seat. Waited about 10 mins and another staff member came out to help us. Phone was fixed perfectly. The only bad thing about this location is the very busy nature of it.
Considering that this is the biggest mall in California, youd expect more, they hardly ever have the products that you want and to get any help you need to wait HOURS, Id recommend ordering online and just pick up
On Monday 8-10-2021, we went to the Apple Store in South Coast Plaza. The place was crowded, so we had to wait for about 15 minutes before we were helped. The Apple associate who helped us out was Diego Rivera. The process of buying a new Apple phone and transferring the new data from the old phone to the new phone were quite easy. However, setting up all the functions for the new phone was really difficult since we did not remember what email and password we used to access the Apple website. We had to try different emails and passwords. It was confusing but fortunately, Diego’s patience and professionalism pulled us through. He was also friendly and polite and it was a pleasure being helped by him.
I just left the Apple Store at South Coast Plaza and received amazing service from Matt C. (I don’t know his full last name; I felt it would be creepy to ask lol but did ask for the last initial since Matt is a common name). He went ahead and helped me set up a Genius Bar appointment for an issue on my phone, as well as helped explain how to use a product I just recently purchased. Also, he answered some questions I had about phones and laptops. He spent a good 10 - 15 minutes helping me out & was completely patient with all my questions. In the craziness of the pandemic, I’m sure he has seen it all, so for him to still be patient in a crowded Apple store on a Sunday and provide excellent customer service—it means a lot! Service like this will continue to make me an Apple customer! Thank you Matt C.!
I was here to pick an online order. It is located inside a mall. The staff was helpful. I went showed the barcode and got my order in 2 minutes. I had couple of other questions about trade in and they answered them.
Wow the disorganization here is so crazy that I had the WORST anxiety here. I’ve only been to apple stores in Texas where I’m from but I really needed to go to the genius bar. this is no shade to the actual employees. I’ve worked customer service before so I know the pain but all the shade to the process to getting help. checking in, I had to hunt someone down for. there should be people at the entrance. then really no explanation to how it works until you realize they’re going down the table helping people. appt times? it won’t matter. it’s based on how people get there because that’s how they sit you at the table to wait. the other locations I’ve been to you would be assigned someone right away. they apologized for the wait so all is good there. if it was based on customer service solely I’d rate 4 out of 5 but since I know people get anxious in busy places like these I thought I would share my experience.
The website to set an appointment was not clear. I set up an appointment for “IPad”. After driving from far away to get there, I was told I was 10 min. too early that I must wait. When it’s time, we found out that our appointment was for shopping not for repair. The next appointment would be 3 hrs away. Even with the appointment there, we could not purchase anything because we would need another appointment for shopping.Staffs could be seen standing around not doing anything, but we could not do what we came for.The worst experience at this place! How can a business stay open with arrogant and inflexible staffs?.
The deserve zero stars. I wont even waste my time explaining why. When you go to this apple store youll figure it out
I had the worst experience ever and now this is a nightmare.I bought a Macbook and the airpod was supposed to come for free and Apple is charging it on my card. Nobody helps in the store, through the chat on on the phone.I am totally disappointed with their ads because they are fake.Run if you can. Apple is not worthy anymore.
Spacious, with all the COVID restrictions enforced, no way to wander around and just browse. We were told to wait 1 hour before showing up again because of keeping physically distant one from another. Now, it you have decided to buy an item, just make an appointment and go straight to your goal. Youll play with your new device or accessory when youll get home.
I’ve only had one laptop in my life and I’ve had it for 8 years so I was super overwhelmed at the thought of getting a new one. Ian went above and beyond explaining all of my options to me and showing me how I can transfer data from my old computer to my new one. He was super patient with me and spent way more time with me than my original 15 minute appointment. Now I have a new MacBook Air getting shipped to my house and I couldn’t be happier!
I dont go to Apple stores but I do go to South coast plaza I like 3 or 4 places in that in that mall. Is one is rubys restaurant 2 is tinderbox And 3 is North face.
Great service. Very knowledgeable people and very friendly in this pandemic
The manager Danielle with purple hair and Brian the manager are extremely unprofessional and angry with themselves and their jobs. Do not subject yourselves to this kind of disservice. They should be ashamed of the way they handle themselves and their positions. Apple needs to train real actual people not robots who will sit and waste 2 hours of your time.
Long waiting just to buy a phone workers just walking around ignoring you they have their own talking meeting and customers waiting on o be help they don’t really care about customer services.
Gentlemen that helped me was very knowledgeable and gave us straight up answers without trying to sale me other products.
Horrible customer service. I walked in wanting to buy an imac so I went up to a employee holding a phone to ask for help; he told me I had to get an appointment in order to shop and signed me up for 4:45, 30 mins later. There were a lot of employees standing around doing nothing or chatting with each other. I asked another employee holding an ipad hoping to get help earlier but was told I have to wait until 5 mins before my appointment time to talk to a “specialist.” 30 mins later, a “specialist” (which is the same employees holding the phone) came to help me and then told me imac is completely out of stock in their store and all nearby stores. I wasted 30 mins waiting around when the guy who made my appointment could’ve told me its out of stock within 1 min. Plus I dont think it takes a specialist to find a mac and scan the bar code to check out because any cashier could do that job. They clearly dont want to do business and just want to waste your time.
HORRIBLE experience. Staff is rude and cant even answer simple questions. Lines are long too. This is just a little of my experience but definitely this apple location is NO
Line is always outrageous. They need to better job with the distancing because of the pandemic.
My mom bought a mac book pro for my sister from there and it wouldn’t turn on. we then had to go back and replace the mac book for the second time and that was also broken. so we had to go to another apple store to get it replaced and they explained the problem. they should check the devices if they work because it’s very rare to have something wrong with the computer system there twice. the service should also be better. i personally wouldn’t want to come back there because of the issues.
I purchased the iPhone 12 Pro Silicone Case directly from Apple, its cracked only after a couple of months. I have the receipt. I took time out of my day to come have it replaced under the 1 year warranty. Since its only been 2 months I assumed this wouldnt be a problem. The reason I purchased the case from Apple was because I believed Apple makes a superior product that they stand behind. If I knew I would get a case that only lasted a couple of months I would have bought one from Amazon for $10.00. I expect a replacement, Im very unhappy.
Worst Corporate customer service ever. Spending thousands of dollars on apple products, you are better off talking with your dog.
Waltor the head tech and Jen the manager for computer business side was atrocious. Gave attitude and disgusting treatment that was unwarranted.Truly sad with such a forward thinking company. Horribly handled at south coast plaza apple store. I will not be coming back and almost wish I wouldn’t have bought a new laptop from apple. Live and learn.
I went it to get my battery fixed and they couldn’t. My phone isn’t working. I tried to buy a phone immediately and was rudely told I couldn’t buy one today even though I had an appt.
As busy as usual. Customer service was just fine.
Worse customer service ever!! First visit they asked me to make an appointment before they can see me which I understood as I work in customer service too and covid guidelines but what passed me off was I came for my appointment which was the same day couple of hours later and I was early for my appointment with store half empty and they still couldnt see saying I was early for my appointment and they can only check me in 5 mins prior to my appointment. Funny enough if you had appointment to buy something no need to wait but for getting service done on an existing product you have to wait. As I am writing the review another client just sent in front of me without appointment for sale. I get the max capacity and covid regulations but when you have more employees then customers and employees just sitting idol not acceptable what so ever. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.
To busy so crowded it takes literally an hour to speak to a technician if you want help
The people at apple courteous great service
Very rude employees. One told us to wait in line because no appointments were needed to browse the store. After we wasted all our time waiting in line and finally got to the front of the line, another employee snapped at us and told us that we needed an appointment and we couldnt go into the store. Very rude response, especially considering it was their mistake to give us incorrect information and make us get in line in the first place. Nowhere on Apples website or storefront does it say appointments are needed. Terrible communication and service.
Upscale mall, but some of my favorite coffee shops have closed down
2021:These guys have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to repairs. iWatch 4 repairs take 7 days to fix and $349, it’s not even done in the store. Please don’t call this a “genius appointment”. They make great actors though as when it comes to sales. I found out the hard way making an appointment you are only entitled to service on one device. I was thinking of getting my iPhone 6s fully repaired(cracked screen, battery replacement) and I was turned down, sad. I’m starting to rethink Apple 🧐
Faced an issue when I updated my MacBook Air, went there to solve my issue, the store manager “Brayan” told me they don’t hv any availability for me and I hv to come back in few days when they have a spot.. I explained to him that the issue has paralyzed me and I couldn’t use my lab top and meet my deadlines. he showed the least possible sympathy and behaved so carelessly, and basically told me it’s non of his business . he was the rudest person I could hv seen. I wish I didn’t have Apple Mac book and iPhone so I didn’t face such poor customer service.
Thank you very much, Daniele!!You gave me such a great help when I was in line to buy my ES. I am old generation little bit behind so your service was perfect.I will tell Apple CEO to let her work as the leader of customer service so that Apple can expand the usage of IPhone among my generation which is one of the important key for your business. Thanks, Naomi
To bad I cant give a 0 worst place ever
Very professional, helpful, knowledgeable, staff. Store very clean.
Poor system of support for customers. I was told to go to an authorized Apple provider to get my AirPods Pro fixed. However, the Apple provider refused to fix them claiming they did not have the tools to do it.
Ordered a phone online and tried to pick it up in store but the staff werent able to verify my identity as the person who placed the order when I presented them with photo ID, order number, and the receipt. Going to this store was a total waste of time and the staff werent accommodating at all. Save yourself the headache and just order your products online.
This is the worst apple store you can go to very mean and rude staff managers they even worst than staff most of my items that I bought from there were quality defective I think they damage the phone before they sell to you I have never seen a bad service like the service this store provide go there and try yourself they all look so tired and overwhelmed
They’re happy to take your money but not give you service. No walkins.Yeah sure! I can buy online and Amazon is next day.. or stores has iPads, phones can get right away. Not wait 10+ days..
You wont be scaning my phones data you rich pigs.
Worst experiences with product brandnew iphone 12pro and Apple sale policy push all rickies to end user when the product have errors even it was a brandnew product! Im hurt too much from Apple online and customer service in Apple South Coast Plaza - CA, I bought a brandnew iphone 12pro but I received an errors one, and it took me alot of trouble and time to connect with Apple people from online to Apple Shop to solve my case, the man name Giovanni from Apple online confirm replacement a new one for me after chatting done, but the staff at Apple shop did not do replacement, a Vietnamese female staff told me that she could not replace the new one and they would open the phone to fix problem only, I did not agree with that way of solving my case, and request to tell with the manager of the shop, then the manager agreed to replace a new one for me but she also said that she would not indemnify for my screen protection film,is this film valuable more than Apple Brandname???!!!From deep of my heart I just wanna get a kindly, friendly and fair behaving from Apple staff, Im so hurt and up set about them!!!😭😭😭
Top shelf 👌
The store is clean. Thats about where it ends as far as positive things to say. They have an old system of your name on an iPad list and they look for you in the store while you wait. My wife and I put our name down and were told it would be a 30-40min wait. We waited for 45 min then I went to ask how much longer. A different gentleman said we were never on the list. My wife doesnt have a super common name so he probably gave up trying to spell it. To make things right they said they would bump us up on the list. After another 30 min wait we are still at the bottom of the list. Dont come here if you arent white or Asian. Im safe as an asian, but my poor Indian wife is being discriminated against again in South Coast because she is brown. I just cant believe Apple of all companies could be this horrible to loyal customers.
The manager Ari was super awesome in terms of getting us scheduled when we had a phone emergency. When we got there we were attended to quickly, and were alerted by the nice security guards that our time of meeting was getting closer. The whole experience was very professional. Thanks Ari!
They are still doing reservations and not first come first serve.
Super friendly staff. Michael with the dreadlocks was the most helpful, down to earth and reassuring Genius Ive ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Resolved a problem with my MacBook Pro.
Man! The rudest employees in the world! Mostly the women employees. This deserves zero stars.
How difficult is to hand over something you order through their website? They might have a million employees in their store, most of them useless.
You cant call the store. You get redirected to a call center. Not helpful
This incident occurred a while ago but it changed my perspective on this apple store. A customer was being rude about my family and an employee joined and agreed with her negative comments. She assumed I was Chinese and blamed my sister’s crying on our assumed race. I am Vietnamese. “Yea thats because there Chinese. Asians don’t know how to do anything.” They continued to stare at us and judge us from a distance but I was able to hear them clearly. They assumed that I couldn’t understand them as well. The male employee tried speaking to me across the table slowly and I looked up at him unhappily. then he said something like, “yea she does not understand.”
I love Apple products but unfortunately had a tough time with the customer service at this location. Even though I made an appointment still had to wait extra time. Also ran into issues while trying to help me with my product which required additional wait times as they had to call into another customer service center? Just wish the overall experience was better!
I would give 0 if I could. Zahid told us he is the store manager and was very harsh and used bad language to deal with our issues at apple store. He should not work for such a company to represent Apple with such a poor customer service skills
The guy wasn’t rude or anything, normal customer service approach I guess. Apple guy working told me they are not allowing sales right now. Only people allowed in the store are people with appointments. According to one of their sales person. I was planning on getting the new SE for my daughter and I did not want to order online. I want to see the phone in person first. I am standing in line & I see other people walking out the store with purchased items. IDK. What he said just didn’t make sense to me. Nevertheless, I was able to purchase what I came to Apple to buy.
I think Apple is just overreacting over Covid-19. We were able to schedule a shopping session with a specialist but they said they didn’t allow my brother to go with me since only one person can get in, okay no problem. When I entered the store, the sales person had to stay 6 feet away from me which made us hard to hear what each other was saying. You know what just open everything back up. I’m sick and tired of this COVID already.
Brian and Eric!! Totally disgusted with their service. Worst experience ever!! Just the worst. Brian, who claimed to be the supervisor at 6:38pm on Friday July 3, 2020, and Eric were the two representatives who made this the worst experience anyone can ask for. Apple took my phone in on June 11, they sent it out to repair center, and repair center received it by June 15. On July 3, 2020, almost three weeks later, I receive the phone in the mail with the screen damaged and the phone was not anything like when I sent it out. When I sent out the phone, Apple noted that the phone had no cosmetic damage. Screen was great and no cracks whatsoever. As soon as I saw the phone, I called Apple south coast, and I was on hold for 40 minutes. Then I decided to drive to the store. Brian, same Brian who said he was the manager, checked me in and said that he remembered me bringing in my phone. He checked me in with Eric, who talked to me for 2 minutes, and then he comes out with a paper saying that when I accepted to send out the device, I accepted that I will be liable for any damage that occurs during the repair. I recorded the entire conversation, and when Brian saw that, he cane and said that he refuses to give me service at the store and that he wanted me out of the store. Not only did they break my phone, but they also told me to leave the store when they know they were at fault. Absolutely disgusted and I’ll upload the recording when I get the chance. Unacceptable, and truly saddened that Apple would allow this to happen.
Very happy with the guy who helped me .
Went to South Coast Plaza to check my favorite store Z gallery after a while quarantine at home😷😷😷 quite a shock to see crowed almost in all stores. Some even waiting on a long line to get in. If you go to 2nd floor most they send you down to enter like Pottery Barn due to Coronavirus guidelines of counting visitors shopping at same time. If you are planning to do early Christmas shopping, I guess Monday or Tuesday early morning will be best to save time and check out most places you like, plus you get merchandise before they are sold out. Most stores I checked they had 25% to 40% off and with lots of choices.By the way Target had a great deals on Christmas tress prices starts from $30 & up plus Christmas lights on sale.I also checked CVS in Alton Sq, not many Christmas stuff and was limited only to one isle.☹️Happy shopping & stay safe! 🎄🎄🎄😷
Very friendly staff. Thanks...
They are not as generous as they used to be in replacing faulty items out of warranty.
Poor and useless service from the Genius Bar.
The technician his very helpful
I was a little hesitant braving the Apple store during the holiday season, but I was extremely happy with how everything flowed and how I was taken care of by Apple representative Daniel at the Genius Bar, despite the store being packed. Daniel was super helpful and knew what he was doing every step of the way while diagnosing my phone and issuing me a replacement. Definitely even more stoked on Apple with their impressive customer service. Thanks again!
Thank you .ggod job
An appointment to buy, and on its website it says nothing of that. Appalling.
They have a bad and so slow service. The staff told me that I have to wait for around 35 minutes, but I have to wait over 1h. Then I come in and ask them when I have a turn. They continue to tell me that I have to wait for another half an hour. Now I don’t know when they take my turn to repair my Ipad Air’s sound. I checked in at 12:33pm. Now it is 14:00pm. I have to still be waiting.
Customer service was top notch, I returned my air pods pro and inquired about the new iPhone super friendly people they are open to answer all questions regarding apple or electronics in general.
Worst experience and worst store ever. I have been with Apple more than 10 years, every year I did trade in Apple products and get new iphone, ipad orMacBook. Last week I have been to Victoria Garden store to pick up my new iPad, great experience. However, this store gave me very bad experience that their staffs no patients and lack knowledge-they do not know how to process trade in their products. When checked in with online order pickup, the guy told us they couldn’t help with me to purchase new iPhone charger, case and screen protector, then I got help with Gabby, she did everything for me. However, she’s unsure about Apple Card trade in refund, then I have been told with another guy, who was very impatient, disturbed me when I was talking many times. When I stepped out of store, I was still not sure about what they’re saying, because they said differently from apple.com.
After spending two weeks on the phone and exchanging information with apple care support to unlock my iPad. They finally said go to the apple store they will be able to unlock it and help me further. Today I went in to go fix my iPad at the apple store at south coast plaza. Checking in I explained my purpose of my visit to the gentleman at the front door.He explained to me the procedure he had to follow and I provided all information needed before entering the store. He even ran it by the manger and kindly guide me to who ever was going to help me next with my iPad. From that point the next person that helped I don’t know what gave him the impression that I stole the iPad and made me feel so little which is not okay. I kindly answer his questions which I answered before I entering the store. He kept repeatedly asking me over and over again for the same information.Told me my receipt was not valid even though I got from Costco.I Was told before I walked in the store my receipt was fine. He kept asking me to provide more information of how I got my iPad. After 30 mins they were able to fix my iPad. He threw in my face more than 3 times he was doing me a favor. He was just being a complete jerk about me being there. He made me feel so little and ruined my whole day. Just because you wear an apple shirt doesn’t make you better than anybody . Stereotyping people is not okay. I just needed my iPad for school.
Amazing experience! Great customer service, friendly, timely. Understood our needs and did the best they could to help out! Actually ended up getting a damaged product replaced. Thanks so much!! Shout-out to Ivan, Stephanie and Toni (Tony?). So helpful. Thank you.
They need to start accepting cash this some BS or atleast some bitcoin 😁😁😁😁🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Ok
The worst plaice in OC I never see so much arrogance on the workers
Great placeWhen is it going to reopen?
Customer service was so bad it was laughable. I was so thrown back by the lack of attentiveness and care, I almost didn’t get angry. I use to be 100% all about the Apple train but it would seem as though they have lost the magic.
Short fat guy yelled at my daughter and broke 6-feet guidelines. Cause extreme emotional damage. Should get fired
I love goin there stores good chapin
Quick and easy experience and it was very crowded because it was a Saturday I chose to go in. I was addressed, and asked to wait for another representative to address my particular needs. No problem, finally was helped, didn’t feel I waited that long. Representative was open to my questions while making my purchase and gave me great answers that I didn’t consider. Overall a great experience.
Awful customer service. Would recommend another store
We placed an order at the store location for Apple Air Pod plus. No stock available, so the guy that helped us place an online order in the store. I just called the store about the order and spoke to an incredibly rude lady (Leann) who even hung up the phone on me while i was asking about the order. She clearly did not want to help and was very dismissive. I asked for a manager, and while i was still talking she just transferred me into a managers voicemail. Almost to say, I dont have time for paying customers. I am shocked by the horrible level of customer service by Apple Employees at this store. Update: Called back and spoke to Manager Zyed. He was a lot more gracious and accommodating and took the time to explain the process and how online varies from store orders. Thank you. Even provided a telephone number for me to call and inquire about the order. How difficult was that Leann. Please take some lessons from your manager on how to treat customers.
Lines are long right now cause of covid. The security staff that guides the lines were ridiculous. She had her mask half off and got way too close to me. kept telling me I needed to wait outside while my 13 year old picked up her order.
I call in yesterday I told them I’m going to buy a phone and I said do I need to make a appointment or something they said no I came in today telling me I had to make appointment and their earliest was 5 pm next time be honest instead of wasting my and peoples time. I’m not coming to this Apple store anymore!!
…
Great location. Nice and helpful staff. This place is always super busy. If you need repairs or something, make an appointment.
On the smaller side for an Apple Store, lacks the grand feel of a modern tribute to Apples technological perfection that the bigger stores have. That said its always nice to have an Apple Store nearby, and the Genius Bar is convenient for many.
Alway overly crowded store, and uncomfortable experience. Apple needs to move the Apple Store to its own kind of building and design it better to handlelarge crowds and a relaxed environment.
Can’t say a negative thing about this Apple store! The tech support is crazy good and the knowledge the techs have is so 100% on point that what ever your issue is they have the solution. Please give yourself a minute and come in with your current device for an upgrade or to replace it, you won’t be disappointed!!
My iPhone XS is having the apple logo stay on my phone so I cant boot into it. I have tried most of the advice online and it has not worked. So I had to drive to this location as a walkin because I dont have another apple device and cant authenticate so I was unable to schedule a appointment ahead of time. The tech team was unable to assist me today at their location so they sent me to Irvine. We will see how that goes later today. The tech team outside in the parking lot was extremely nice with the covid19 stuff going on, but the security guard Julio who works for SIS was extremely unprofessional and rude. He threatened to have me removed because I parked in the apple curbside pickup while I wait for the tech to give me directions to drive to Irvine since I cant use my iPhone for directions. I would suggest he gets lowered hours as he is a waste of the stimulus money! (I know this has nothing to do with Apple)
An excellent service and a professional staff.
