Johns description of the car I consigned was very accurate and honest, and the ultimate buyer was very happy. Later I purchased a Corvette from him and it was exactly what he described on his website. No surprises.
I trusted all the positive statments that are published on their website. I learned the hard way that it sounded too good to be true! The cars I had purchased based on how they were listed and what the owner wrote in several emails were not in the condition as described. Really bad when you discover that on the other side of the Atlantic. With both cars the claim was rust free and under carriage in excellent condition. I had to replace one floor board, weld several rust spots and fix a poorly repaired subframe on one. The other had a rotten area in the chassis as well.I was told the cars needed absolutely nothing. The parking brake wasnt functional in one. Needed a complete rebuild. Front to back. The engine wasnt running properly because the carb wasnt set up right. Non functional accelerator pump. Both rear wheel bearings were shot. You know how much work this is to fix for a Corvette! The other car was leaking oil badly. Rear main seal. The horns werent working. one broken. The other connected bubba-style.After confrontig the seller with all of this the answer was, that I had bought old cars... I knew that! Thats why I had asked before about the condition of the cars.I had expected differently from a decent businessman and a NCRS judge in particular...So, if you really want to buy from them, better beware!
