Rooster Auto repair is located on college Park drive West of i-45 about 3 miles. Its hard to see from the main street because its the woodlands and everything is covered with trees. Modern looking building clean paved driveway very attentive staff. They performed my service very quick and did it at an excellent price. I highly recommend them to anyone. It was my first time here and I will come back again. They appear to be very good people in a very safe neighborhood. Give them a try.

Honestly, a quite pleasant experience! Even though my car needed a new tire to pass inspection, I didnt mind the quick one hour wait in the adorable and accommodating waiting room with a clean, well stocked, and well decorated bathroom. It was an enclosed waiting area with a tv, comfortable chairs and even coffee! Maybe I need to get out more but this place was enjoyable!

I was greeted by the owner of the establishment, which is nice. I had my State Emisions check. The service was fast and there was no line. They have a very nice customer waiting area as well. There was only one thing that made me wonder a bit. The owner wanted me to look at my break fluid because he said it was black and needed to be replaced. When I looked it was fine. The same color as when you buy new break fluid. I had my breaks replaced just a few months ago. I told him no thanks and he was fine with that. I will go back again when I need service.

Fantastic customer service and a quality and timely repair/maintenance job. Something specific I like about here is that every time they found a problem or something needed to be updated/replaced, they walked me out to my car and really took the time to explain what the problem was, why it was important and gave me options for solutions. I will definitely be back.

Went in to get an oil change. After oil change I was offered an oil change package. I bought the package because it really saved me a lot of money. Synthetic oil changes are not cheap, and my gasoline GMC holds more oil than a regular truck. Jerry offered me the package, explaining exactly how it worked, and I bought it. So many times when you go in to get your oil change you feel like their main job is to upsell you. I felt like I was offered a service that I needed anyway, I never felt like I was being up sold. The owner of this place is very upbeat and is usually there and will actually sit down and talk to you. Jerry’s been doing this for years and his expertise shows. Take your car to roosters, you will be happy with your experience

Don’t waste your time here. Took a brand new car in for a state inspection and they failed it. Immediately took the car else where, and the mechanics were in total disbelief that Rooster failed the vehicle. They felt so bad that Rooster Car Care made such a diagnosis, and tried to figure out a way to do the inspection for free. Go to Jiffy Lube, Take 5, or anywhere else.

Rooster ridge car care has great customer service. The manager is professional, personable and knowledgeable - taking time to explain the repairs in detail. They paid for a rental car and made the process easy for me during the repairs. The car was ready on time and I appreciate their service and experience for my car repair .

Dishonest and over priced. I got charged $1100 to have my water pump replaced and was hit with this bill afterwards, they also told me they patched my tire as well and the guy told me to my face he patches it him self but it was not fixed. Would not return or recommend to friends or family. A very dishonest business.

Everyone was very polite and nice. The vehicle was fixed same day and seems to be working properly. Main complaint is about pricing. I had service done twice. First time there was a discrepancy which was worked out during the second visit. However, second visit i was quoted a price, but the actual total was over $100 higher than quote. When i asked about that difference i was told the original quote did not include taxes or shop supplies. If I had known ahead of time of the exact amount, I would have declined the work and left. There was a problem with the work, but was fixed without any problems or additionally fees.

I had the back of my truck completely loaded with recycle plastic when it was towed to Rooster Ridge. When I went to pick it up, they had taken the recycle for me to the recycle center. I really did not want to buy a new car as my A/C went out but the fact that they offer 12 months 0% interest and a 5 year / 50,000 mile warranty is what sold me on using them.

They originally told it would be a day to wait on parts. I left the car there. I received a call from Jerry saying they did not give up and sourced the parts and ran and picked them up and had my car ready a day early. Great service. They went above and beyond.

I brought my vehicle into the rooster ridge because of smoke coming from the tail pipeThey said I need a engine replacement they charged me 5,000 for a bad engine I called them to honor the warranty and the manager said it was not covered so now I’m 5,000 in the whole. I took my tdi in because it wasn’t running right. I was quoted $749 for labor. They talked me into replacing the battery cause I figured how much could they charge for a battery? Apparently 3 times more. . $304.91. Then they replaced the mass airflow sensor—$344 for a $35 part. Then Jerry had the gall to be offended that I was upset? About a$2002 Bill? For diagnostic, a battery, and a $35 part. Needless to say, won’t ever use them again.

My daughter went here for a state inspection the 2 gentlemen working at this location shouldNot have jobs they were extremely pushy and overbearing ! My daughter was distraught and upset because they made her feel like she had to do a repair she did not. Need took to the dealership and fact is they are liars cheats and thief’s !!! The part recommend was fine sad that these men would bully her into buying a part almost beg which is pathetic if you have to beg for someone to do repairs maybe you should rethink your career options! Would net ever send a family member or friend to these crooks BEWARE OF THIS SHOP !!!!

I sent my teenager son (minor) to get an oil change with a coupon - he 100% looks like a teenager, no way my kid passes as an adult, and was using mom’s credit card. That didn’t stop the staff from selling him car repairs, he came home with a $680 bill. I called to complain, they don’t care at all that they Ripped off a minor. Disgusting.

I originally went to the other location and I wasn’t very happy with workmanship. I called the location on 242 and Jesse answered the phone. He let me voice my frustrations and agreed things weren’t handled correctly. Right away he ask me to give him the chance to make it right. I agreed and took my truck in and they diagnosed the problem. He called me with a price to rebuild the top half of my engine at a price I would never get anywhere else. The truck wasn’t ready when he promised and Jesse went out of the way to make sure I had a car to drive until the next day. If your wanting to trust a repair shop this is the place to come and ask for Jesse or jerry. They know how to step and not play any games when you need answers and your vehicle fixed so you can get back on the road.

Serena was welcoming and knowlegeable about cars. So was Joshua who performed my state inspection. When the monitor showed my Outlander could not make the computer connection for the emissions test, he ran diagnostics and quickly determined the problem was 2 of the spark plugs, which he replaced. Then everything was good and I was happily on my way. Also, while I was there, they filled up my front and back windshield washer fluid tanks and replaced my wiper blades. Happy car. Happy Driver.

He knew that I had made an appointment for an inspection and an oil change from my pre-paid 5pk of oil changes and since my car had been in Covid-19 isolation with me for months, a few other checks were performed. Justin kept me informed of the progress, and wrote up an estimate for a needed repair.Polite, efficient, informative and a neat and orderly waiting room.

Went in for the annual state inspection since I am new to the Woodlands (lived inside the loop before) and got a coupon in the mail advertising they were new to the area. Since they were close, went in for the car inspection. Was told my brakes were bad and that they could replace them and my slightly worn wiper blades for ~$600. Brakes going bad are a serious safety issue, but I’ve also been in a car where you can feel the brakes going bad, that is not my car. I paid for the state inspection, replaced the wipers (took 5 minutes from the blades I got from Amazon) and got my car inspected by the one I used to go to inside the loop. Passed no issues and I asked them about the brakes. He mentioned they are worn (car is 4 years old so that’s expected), but assuming I’m not a harsh acceleration-and-brake driver, I’ve got at least a couple of more years with them. Won’t be going back to this place nor would I recommend it to others. Too bad, because they were so close to the woodlands and a new business!

Rooster Ridge Car Care-Conroe is FABULOUS! I called the shop and talked with Jerry about checking my vehicle over after the hard freeze. He told me to bring it on in and they would give the vehicle a checkup. Upon arrival, I was met by Jerry Metcalf, General Manager. He explained to me what needed to be checked and the time it would take to complete the work. He was informative, knowledgeable, sincere, engaging, considerate and helpful. My vehicle was checked over and the necessary repairs were made as explained. The mechanic that took care of my vehicle was informative and knowledge about the work that was completed. If your vehicle needs any type of work you will not find a more honest, fair and knowledge group of people than the ones at RRCC Conroe. They are truly the Best of the Best in keeping your vehicle running smoothly and safely!

Had a rattle in my steering column. I wasnt sure exactly what it was but paid 150 to have them take apart steering column. They then said I had worn joints at the bottom of the steering column but they had to order an entirely new steering column to fix it. Different guy comes in and tells me itll be 1100 then starts rattling around more numbers and stops at 1500. I shouldve walked out there but Ive been coming to this place for regular maintenance for a while so I told them go ahead with it if they think its necessary. They replace the steering column and I still have a rattle sound so I get up early the next day and bring it back to them at 10am. I didnt get a call all day so I finally called them at 5 to check the status. They tell me they test drove it and didnt hear anything so its been sitting in their parking lot for 7 hours and they didnt think to call me. Basically they had their money and were unwilling to attempt to work on it any further.

They lied to me about my vehicle saying it needed Bearings and all that was wrong was Bearing bolt on the other side. So instead of spending 1,200.00 I only spent 100.00 . $5.00 Bolt and 100 for labor

I brought my car in for a State Inspection, but less than 5 minutes later, the man helping me tells me they found a problem with my car. He tells me that the tensioner assembly and serpentine belt needs to be replaced. He attempts to show me what is wrong, pointing to some vibration and saying that everything should be firm and not wiggling. I did not see any of the issues he was pointing out, but of course, I am no mechanic. He tells me that he knows some great vendors and he can give me a great price on the repair. He returns with an estimate of about $461. I call up my dealership because I had warranty on my car and tell them the situation. They tell me that due to the low mileage on my car, it is very unlikely that the tensioner and belt would fail. I forgo the recommended repairs at Rooster Ridge and only pay for the State Inspection. I bring my car into the dealership and lo and behold, nothing was wrong with the tensioner assembly and serpentine belt. I also have my mechanic friend confirm that nothing Rooster Ridge recommended needs to be repaired. I don’t understand why Rooster Ridge was trying to sell me repairs that I didn’t need. I went to them hoping to find a convenient, and reliable repair shop, and to my disappointment, was almost scammed out of $500.People tell me this is a classic case of repair shops picking on ignorant people who dont know anything about cars. I refuse to believe it because I think thats sad and disappointing. Most people rely on their mechanics because they dont know much about cars and hope that their local repair shop would be honest and trustworthy. Unfortunately, Rooster Ridge isnt one of them.

Went in for a discounted oil change. Decided to also have my air filter and cabin filter replaced as well. They identified an oil leak we are in the process of taking care of.
