Pricey, but great. At least you know youre getting quality products.
I stopped in while visiting the area and was not impressed. I wanted to support a local business as opposed to Whole Foods. This place is way overpriced with a rude staff (at least the staff I encountered) to top it all off.
I love the coop. Have for years. Recent purchase not so good. Picked up some dumplings Tuesday afternoon. Several packages as we love them. They were all over cooked and lacked the usual flavor. Very disappointed. Usually the prepared food is fabulous. Not this time. Sad
I cant say enough about food coops. These are a great path out of our dependency on packaging. Depending on your level of planning, you can buy what you need to feed your family with little trash attached. If you dont know what Im talking about, you might take my workshop, Convenience Is Killing Us.
Delicious vegan muffins and cookies, wonderful selection! my favorite place to get vegan friendly foods :)
Excellent selection. They even sell mead!
Great store! Lots of good things to choose from, clean, friendly people, a fun place to shop.
Been a member for years, however do not need to be to shop. Friendly helpful staff excellent selection of foods and healthy living items with an emphasis on local and sustainability. Also fun to browse for items you would not even think of to try. If you are a member lots of great buys that rotate through regularly and membership is very affordable.
Bought a bottle of chocolate milk, found out it went bad already, called about it, no apology or anything, just yup you can return it. One cashier seems isnt nice to Asian people.
Hands down the best selection of organic produce of any grocer around. I like the bulk items too and wish they had even more of them. The left side, first isle of the store is pretty much all I come for as I am only shopping there for fresh ingredients. Four starts only because the rest of the items are a little pricy. Otherwise it would get 5 stars.
So happy the hot bar is open agsin!
Concord Food Co-Op is one of the only co-ops close to Concord that I personally know of. They have a great variety of goods and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to many things that you cant find at your local grocery store such as organic and gluten free options they have a good selection of your standard grocery store fare as well. They also have a vegan bakery and a sushi chef in the store, as well as a variety of quick and healthy lunch foods available. Their sushi is good quality and the price is appropriate for what you get out of it. They have a parking lot available for their customers and offer free masks if your forget your own.
Great store stocked w all you need. Local, organic, well chosen produce and products.Fresh baked goods, cheeses, wine, personal care products and all your everyday aisle. Friendly staff too!
We love the co-op... The workers here are doing a great job keeping shoppers safe. There are lots of local products. Food at the Co-op isnt cheap, but you get what you pay for, and I like knowing where my food comes from, especially my veggies, milk, and cheese. The deli has Boars Head products. My sons favorite treat is the sushi made on-site.😁
All the produce is organic, tons of organic, vegan, and gluten free options, and the best grocery store sushi around!
I love the co-op for fresh, healthy groceries and take-out items. They carry unusual items not found in regular grocery stores. The staff is friendly, and there usually isnt a long wait at checkout.
Bummed that the coffee wasnt operational due to covid, but we understand! Everything else was great though! Lots of variety and many options.
Always a delight to walk in and shop! Wonderful fresh fruits/veggies and a wide variety of everything you could ever want/need!
They have a lot of natural products! They alsohave a lot of food too!
Mostly come for Sushi Wednesday but they have a great selection of local organic products. Their bakery items are delicious as well. Staff is always friendly and willing to help.
Its a customer service related issue. Every visit seem lacking in their part. I moved to NH and sought them out. Bottom line is my experiences have met feeling, my bad. They can never be my top choice now.
This is a nice store with healthy items and food. Very expensive unless on sale. I like shopping here when I can. There is no one to ask for help when needed unless you go to the cashier. There is no deli section.
As a coop member, I shop here regularly. The staff is friendly and helpful finding items or answering questions. I typically shop for organic, dairy free and gluten free foods. I love their selection of bulk foods, supplements and beauty products. I can always find what I need and was a life saver this past year when I had a restricted diet. The staff has even ordered specialty supplements for me. They have an ever evolving selection of locally or sustainably crafted items from beer to hats and mittens. One of my favorite coop attractions is the hot bar! It always smells delicious and I can try new-to-me foods without buying a ton of ingredients. I can grab a bite to eat at lunch or to enjoy for dinner after shopping. Highly recommend checking it out. There is a strong sense of community and always run into people I know.
Showed up at 6:30pm on a Wednesday for five dollar sushi. Rack was empty, and when I asked I was told the sushi chef was there but nobody knew where he was and to try again another day. Couldnt even get a different quick dinner, since everything was being packed up.The food that was out seemed nice, and I have heard great things, but I am a bit offput by my experience and service. Big bummer because it is right on my commute but doesnt seem reliable.
THE place to go for health/whole food stuffs. Nice selection for gluten free. Lots of local products. Stocked with your basic grocery items plus. ...My complaint - I went in for a comb (visiting the area and had forgotten to pack that), but they actually didnt have any. A hair brush would work, which they did have. ..Staff was friendly.
The co-op has a great staff, and the quality of the food, fresh and prepared, is top notch. However, it does feel a bit cramped due to small aisles, especially when the store is busy. But thats definitely not enough to take a star off. The atmosphere is very nice, almost homey.
Very well done shopper.
Great selection & very clean
I like the concept of the co-op and I do support the store quite a bit. Most of the staff is very helpful. However, there are a few employees which would benefit by some additional customer service training and manners.I wish there was more variety in the fresh vegetables and meat departments. The food bar is wonderful and the Chicken Soup is amazing.I would like to see a Smoothie Station added.
Excellent selection of organic items, bulk foods, fresh locally grown produce, a by-the-pound honey and maple syrup station, (also laundry detergent),a visually appealing salad bar and hot food bar. I went in the morning before the hot foods were set up, but they post their hot foods for the week online, and they had quite a soup selection. The bakery had a variety of breakfast and dessert items. Store clerks were very helpful.
Excellent grocery Coop with lots of organic fresh fruits and veggies and most everything else healthy ( organic and non GMO) we want to eat plus great quality vitamin supplements. This is a local business. Also Coops are owned by its local Members; so important to support these days. Very helpful and patient staff. A gem of a business for this area.
Ive been shopping here for years now, one of the best coops I have ever been part of. The quality of the produce is awesome, and the food they serve is top notch. I definitely recommend this place to buy high quality food that wont break the bank.
I was just there about 5:00 pm. The hot food station looked pretty dried up. Best to get there earlier I guess. The place always seemed top shelf. I hope theyre not slipping I went the next day at noon. The place was packed. A good sign. The food looked better but it was luke warm at best. Cmon guys.
My family and I visited the co-op tonight around 7:00 pm. Staff had closed down the hot food, soup, and olive bar. Salad bar still open and as my granddaughter and I were putting salad items into our containers, a staff person was on the other side of the bar removing all the salad tongs. I found this to be very rude, as we were quickly selecting our salad. Staff should have waited until we were finished
Good, fresh, local food. I always like stopping in to see what new things they have. Check out their buffet area, pies, local cheeses, local milk, and $5 sushi Wednesdays. Dont eat the Indian store-made meals, theyre weird as hell haha. Great staff.
Great Co-op market, the highlight of every trip I make to Concord. They have a attentive staff and a wide selection of fresh & prepared food. Thanks to Google Maps folks, for updating the old Streets Photo taken way before 2012.
I found the coop to be very clean and well organized. Picked up some local honey and maple syrup from the bulk section and a few delicious apples. Not a comprehensive selection but pretty good!
Great hot bar with healthy options to accommodate most dietary needs/lifestyles.
Best food in concord awspme sushi fresh fish best ever and I been all over country
The manager on shift today at 1 pm was super rude. won’t be returning
Whenever Im downtown its part of my routine to stop by the Co-op and support local! Really enjoy the Co-ops prepared meals and sushi- theyre convenient, delicious, and always plenty of options.#shopdowntownConcordNH #IntownConcord
As a customer I have frequented this store over the years. Unfortunately, having had issues related to customer service after speaking with the manager and communications with the board of directors, I have decided to never return to this business since they are not cooperative and fail to provide friendly customer service. Having lived in many different locations and experienced a cooperative environment both as a customer and a vendor, I understand the meaning of cooperative and this business does meet those criteria.
I can appreciate a small part of this sort. My only issue was the prices. Yeah I get it...you want great food, you gotta pay the price.Overall a great place.
A little pricey of youre on a budget, but they have fresh, local produce and specialty items.
Food and selection is good, deli service is atrocious. Lady working behind the counter acts like I am putting her out by asking her to do her job.
Tiny, extremely expensive, bad customer service, good hot food bar. To Concord Co-op: I highly recommend you go to the Littleton Co-op to see how it should be done. They are the size of a small grocery store, and are doing so well that theyre currently expanding! Prices are much more on track with regular grocery stores, they have great customer service, full deli, large aisles and parking lot, they sell many local products, etc.
Excellent selection of natural/organic foods and products. They have a large assortment of bulk products as well as specialty cheeses. Their pre-made food buffet is delicious, perfect for lunch. It is a pricey place to do your shopping but they have high quality products that cannot be easily found anywhere else locally.
Love shopping here! Incredible organic, trust worthy, divine food! Grateful for you 💜
This is an awesome place to shop...
The food for the hot bar is always dried out and Keith is always rude about it.
Having worked behind the counter I found out that what first appeared to be community serving community was just a front. Although I do find the store to be a pleasant environment with unique and delicious options. I find it hard to support a store that through my experience has miserable management that lacks organization within the business and compassion for their employees and the work itself. I had hoped I might make a difference while I was there but there no room for me to do so. A good store but I refuse to support such disrespectful and poor performing management.
The prepared foods are awesome and theres a lot of options for all diet types aka vegetarian, vegan, sugar free and gluten free. The fresh produce and cheese selections are awesome too.
Great place providing organic food and specialty items at great prices! Awesome selections of supplements!
Good food. Good people.
Great place for good food.
Each and every time I go to this CO-OP Im asked are you a member? Im not and say so. NO ONE has ever asked if I would like to join. Pretty strange. I guess theyre all set.
It is always nice to shop at a local coop. This one is also a great place to get a tasty organic coffee for a reasonable price and in a pleasant atmosphere.
Ive been sick for about months and they helped me find all kinds of helpful treatments the clerks were as good as a doctor
I legit hate this store it’s gross.
I was hoping for a good selection of natural products, supporting local farms. The selection is limited, prices far too high (this is coming from a regular Whole Foods shopper), layout crowded, and an overall bad vibe. The customer base seems to have a very poor attitude, yelling at staff over petty things like a cookie mix-up. Steer clear and support farmers markets, and you can get the rest from the natural foods section of other stores in the area.
Great new look and feel! Love the Hot Bar and they have specialty items I cant find anywhere else
Love this place!! Great produce and bulk items. Salad bar is good too.
Mac and cheese should be available every night!
The store is small, but loaded with amazing foods and groceries. A staff member was very helpful.
This store is gross and the people here are also gross.
Variety of goods. Found everything I needed during my stay in NH.The staff was very attentive and answered all my questions.
We got homemade syrup and honey
The person working the register is rude
Very exspensive and nobody wanted to help me. I ended up leaving the store 😣
Membership has it privileges!
Excellent as always
New HR manger doesn’t pick who she does and doesn’t like(old one did) even as a former employee she seemed to care about the issues I had at the store, keep her there u might end up keeping your good employees for a while.
Great lunch variety
Absurdly expensive.No free WiFi.Cold coffee.Insanely expensive.And they don’t accept American Express.4 thumbs down!
I dont know quite what it is about the Coop that prevents it from being a consistently excellent source of healthy food & a spiritually inviting place to shop, but I have never felt 100% devoted to its success, even though Ive been a member for over ten years. The expansion has certainly (from a business & spatial perspective) seemed a success. However, a comparison between this store and the Coop in Burlington, VT (NOT a Whole Foods Store, and, yes, I know that Burlington has a larger market base than Concord, but still a comparison is merited) reflects badly on the Concord Coop. Bulk food choices are good, but loose tea & bulk spices are not available (thank goodness for Granite State Natural Foods, which I wish had the resources to have been serious competition to the Coop - alas . . .). And, except for Audrey Burghard and Scott Jones (and his kitchen staff) I have been uniformly underwhelmed with the knowledge, expertise, experience & general customer courtesy of most of the Coop staff. Prices are mystifyingly GInormous. I wont go near the Coop during Farmers Markets seasons (except for the dark chocolate covered caramels!!).
Has Everything my Family Needs.. Fair Price.. Lots of Staff
Great selection of healthy food
Great co-op with a wide variety of healthy food selections.
I love the bakery, salad bar, hot food bar, and the hummus is AMAZING!
Love this place - it has so much to offer!
Good food and great variety
Great coop and the food is very good and the price is fair.
Many organic choices, hot bar, bakery. Can be pricey and sometimes a limited selection.
Good healthy food, clean environment, cooperatively owned.
Need more protein selections for lunch.
Great produce and every one is very helpful
The food is good, but pricey.
Calling the deli and hoping they will answer the phone, it is hit or miss that they will. However the muffins and cookies make up for it!
Good place but super-expensive. I might go to market basket but coop is significantly closer
Nasty staff
Amazing!
Good stuff, but expensive.
Organic foods
