I live right down the street from FoodMaxx and I think that helps. Because I know what I want if its available. Its a great local store. I dont know if I would travel a long way to shop here though. Definitely it is a lot cheaper than Safeway and has everything as far as want. The selection isnt nowhere near as good as something like Safeway . But the prices are outrageously good. And for as busy as they get the cashiers are freaking lightning fast. It could be cleaner probably. If you like good prices this is the place and theres a lot of Hispanic food available cuz its in the Hispanic part of town.
FoodMaxx Fits1 perfect into my schedule at work I start work at 11:30 they close at 12 always got something good to eat fresh just an all-around great. Grocery
Picked up some nice nice. The marbling was incredible. Lines are always a problem.
Love food max but the one on Clayton rd is cleaner and better
Great staff.....competent well trained....superb produce section...catering to several specialized cuisines.....filtered water for 35 cents per gallon...come on down...the cashiers will have you smilin on your first visit........
This is the best grocery store Ive been to
Great place to shop.. Cheap!!!, bulk. Like it better than COSTCO
They need to have more cashiers available
Its last minute shopping making some Jamaican jerk chicken.
The shelves were full. The store was spotless. The location is convenient. Some products we cant find elsewhere.
This store is dead for a saturday
I love this store. They have a wide variety of brands that I like and always have great prices. I will definitely shop here again.
Its a grocery market. What more do you need...
An interesting grocery chain that has a lot of brand choices I have not seen at major grocery chains for years. During the pandemic hoarding, they were always stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizers, etc., even during the rationing. They never price gouged but did impose quantity limits for a short while This location is across from the Concord COSTCO and located in a somewhat seedy strip mall. I think most people avoid it for that reason, but it is safe. People are starting to hoard paper products again, so be prepared. The COSTCO is now running out of all paper products again.
Sometimes its hard to find products, but I like their prices and they have a cool looking logo so you cant go wrong with that. Happy shopping!
Good prices BUT they dont practice as much cleaning as they should
Best $ value in town!
This place is great. Clean. Well marked shelves. Friendly staff.
Great prices but bring your patience as checkout wait times can be long.
Boneless ribeyes and cold beer they have what on their ads
Pretty. Good produce. Meat prices are average. Good deals on cereals, dry goods.
Nice staff pretty helpful 👍
Busy store with great deals and promotions. Traffic along the area is tough, although plenty of parking space. This area is within residential and commercial buildings. I advise to shop before night time.
This supermarket is a little sketchy when it comes to the people walking around the area. When I was looking for tomatoes, I seen about 30-40 knats on top of the tomatoes. I also parked maybe 20 feet from the exit, and the grocery carts are magnetized, so they stop to a standstill making you take out all of your groceries and walking the rest of the way. Not the most pleasant experience.
Excellent prices!
It was all there. Lots of things to buy, good bargains. No hand carts, though. If you are going to need more than your hands and arms you will have to get a giant shopping cart.
Takes credit cards. Good fresh produce at a good price. Even better than Sprouts at times. Convenient location on way back from Costco. When you do not need to buy bulk.
Had everything I was looking for. Great prices on meat. Polite staff clean store.
Long lines and not enough cashier.
Pretty good store to for food
Totally nice
Good place to save money. FM.
Great store, good selection, low prices, decent service
Never enough cashiers if you go there plan on waiting the meats not that good
Not very clean and restrooms were even worst but staff was very friendly and heloful
Discount grocer. Still missing a lot if stock with covid. Great for ice.
I love grocery shopping here. Very friendly employees with amazing customer service. Also good prices on groceries. Easy to find what youre looking for. Great set up. Items are always stocked up neatly. Beginning of the month is the busiest time to shop here so go before noon. Other than that, Most DEFINITELY RECOMMEND grocery shopping here. 👍👍
Nice store, this was my first time here so Ill edit this post after more visits.Things are easy to find, somewhat crowded but it IS Friday. I used the self checkout so I cannot comment on customer service.
Nice Location, Hard working people affortable food prices. Nice Store they are taking social distance seriously for all of us safety very good, food availability and ready to help their customers. Conveniently located near monument Blvd Concord downtown within couple of miles car shops, big lots, Costco and Walgreens. Easy Parking but most of the time busy place to purchase groceries.
Only go here if I have to very dirty meat usually expired vegetables always expired and flies flying around everywhere not a pretty scene. I would recommend going to another grocery store. Time to time they were have good deals though!
Big store, Great prices! They had tons of TP and paper towels. Not a lot of cleaning/sanitizing products.
They dont have disinfectant and both entrance just in one, and just wipes, especialy and this pandemic
Its a FoodMaxx. The prices are a bit less than normal prices. On-sale items are a good deal. Checkout stands are (most times) frustrating in one way or another.
People not helpful most staff rude not good variety
Decent prices for the area. Not as good as Winco, but overall way better than the Safeway up here.Produce is very fresh! Looked great today.
I shop here because they have good prices. But man, it is a terrible experience every time lol. Crowded, dirty, depressed employees, angry customers, long lines... Ive got to start paying more so I dont put myself through that
Nothing special but a convenient place to stop after a Costco run. It always has decent produce and fresh herbs that you dont want to buy in massive bulk quantities. I also like to shop there when Im looking for ingredients for authentic Mexican food as the selection is vast and well priced.
Always dirty always not enough help Theres no one to ask for questions and if you find someone they dont know either
Long lines, few registers open. Frustrating waiting 30 minutes to check out
Good service. There was and a lot of people on a Friday night which is good.
Great place friendly people
Vegetables suck just by canned goods
Good prices, really good choice of vegetables and fruits. Good deals for meat sometimes. Also the store has a big parking lot.
I prefer the one on Clayton Road.
Not good at all
Busy but at least theyre open till midnight every night like clockwork
Really great savings, but lines to check out can get very long. Its best to do the 20 Items or Less checkout
The store was fine. However I wish sometimes the ads for whats on sale had the details on whats specifically is part of the sale if its not part of the sale display and on the shelf of the actual product. Overall this store serves its purpose. My only other complaint is the sale tags on the products dont say when the deal is over and makes it difficult to plan purchases. You could possibly pick up the item and get to the check out and its not on sale. Thats the worse.
Not an awesome experience. long lines with minimal staff (seemingly on autopilot), self-check machines shut off or not functioning, and no sense of urgency on the part of the staff. yes, retail stinks, we know, but taking pride in your job or at least appearing to is important...and there was none of it, not even hello. this branch is convenient and serves the local community, but management needs to step it up in a major way. positive note: the a/c works.
Love the chain. Great prices. Superior assortment of fresh produce. Butchers on site will cut and package what ever you need. Doesnt have a lot in the way of specialty foods. Great budget friendly grocery.
Good prices, large selection of fruits and vegetables. Well stocked Easy parking. I go for the sales, ie, . 77 a pound foster farm chicken full legs.
Basic warehouse type grocery store. Lots of items, not much in the bulk section, meat section is good, not great but good. Staff is doing there job, always packed and a madhouse at 5pm or crazy packed before holidays. Cheap, owned by Lucky but cheaper. Lots of the same items as lucky. Self bag your own groceries. No pharmacy.
I like this store. Its clean and you can find the things you need. The shelves are well organized. The bathroom was a bit of a issue but great shopping experience overall.
Lines too long but good bbn prices
A great place to but food for a low price thats not going to expire within a few days or thats not expired. Has just about everything you need. On Sundays they could use more cashiers, due to the long lines, but it her then that, its a great place to shop for food etc.
Easy parking. Good prices. Good selection. A bit worn.
A bit disappointed...not that many choices and the area around the store very dirty. 3***The previous comment is a 2 yrs ago one.S8.30.21 0*My husband and I went shopping at FoodMaxx and at self check we got stuck, ask Melissa since she was talking to a fellow associate. She got an attitude saying: you just have to punch in the number...we responded we tried to follow the prompt, scanning and even typed the produce name but neither work reason we ask for help...see walked away mad. She need to be trained for good customer service.Been shopping at other FoodMaxx and all are great but this one! 😞
LOW PRICES.
I rated it at 2 stars because from 9pm onwards theres usually a very long line at the cash register. If a customer on the line has a question the same sales associate leaves the register to attend to the question being asked leaving about 20 customers on the line waiting.
Never enough checkers and they close down the self-check too early. But its fine for the type of store it is. Prices are generally pretty good, especially on produce and meat.
They have good prices on a lot of items, but the customer service could be a lot better, sometimes those cashiers behave as if they have been forced to work there.
Good store. Decent selection. Value orientated store so dont go and expect whole foods style selection. But great prices, good meat and produce selections that are fresh.
Love ❣️
Great place to buy groceries for us poor people, but honestly their customer service its simply not there, to say the least
Great produce variety and meat selections. Plenty of parking. Lines can get somewhat long at peak times. Best prices.
Great selection and prices. For example: 20 lbs. of ice at FoodMaxx = 3.49 and a 10 lbs. of ice at Safeway = 3.99. Friendly staff and they even have self checkout. Decent parking situation too.
Its ok, I prefer Costco its cheaper stopped there for a small bag of jasmine rice my diet allows small portions.
Great prices. 80 people in line to check out 2,stands. Same problem every time. Not enough checkers. Left food in basket and went to another store with better service.
Long lines.
I miss the FoodMaxx that was in my neighborhood in Antioch... It had everything at a lower price than the big chain grocery stores. Still one of the few places to find fresh Baby Dill.Very friendly and helpful staff!
Warehouse style, not very attractive but they have good prices. Much better than other supermarkets such as Safeway which is a ripoff. And its open late too, so its convenient.
The cashier in the self purchase is very unprofessional and rude I was waiting for her to attend me and she was ignoring me and on her cell phone. So I got tired of waiting and walked away.I DONT RECOMMEND BUYING HERE.
Horrible. I quit shopping here 10 years ago. I went back last week and nothing had changed. 2 cashiers working. Lines half way down the store. You cant get anybody to help you. Ridiculous! People who have jobs definitely dont have time to stand in line for 30 minutes.
I shop here pretty regularly. The food is fresh and the price is reasonable. I dont know if I expect anything else out of a grocery store.
The lines to the cashiers are not good.
Busy, but has everything that you want for a reasonable price.
A reasonable selection of produce and home goods at a great price! The vegetables are fresh and the staples are cheap. Clean store with few bells or whistles.
Its fine for quick items, but dont expect anything fancy. Produce is decent, but limited.
Looked clean floors always polished. I got what I wanted which left me happy.
Lonng lines, not enough staff, carts do not work, plasti bags not goo.
Clean!!!!!!I like it I have been here for over 10 years but I just moved. Still traveling like 2 hours to get stuff from it
This is a discount grocery store supposedly I was shopping there for a while cuz its right down my street Im not shopping there anymore especially since the dog food I bought recently got my dog sick not very clean and the prices arent even as good as a normal grocery stores except for maybe the chicken is very cheap but its so big the chicken you know its just been stuffed full of steroids and antibiotics they dont have any hard to leave no grain fed or three range. The only things that you can save money on if the store is the chicken in the meat some good deals on on steaks but if you want to tenderize and probably. For now Im going to another grocery store the country Woods Safeway. Said I just reviewed and gave 5 Stars to.James, Brian
Ive always loved Foddmax. My friendly neighborhood store
Very slow service, but the prices were good...
The ceiling
Its the exact same food delivered to Save Mart across town, except half the price. No brainer.I wouldnt apply for a job here, though. That savings needs to be absorbed somewhere and, more often than not, its done through the employees measly compensation.
Good prices but bad parking and dirty store
Great prices, and a very clean store! But be prepared to spend extra time in the checkout line. Theres max 2-3 people working the registers, even during busy times.
Love this place, hope they stay in business, for a long time.
