Scheduling our move and getting a quote went very well. The guys on our move, John and Chris, were AMAZING! Moving can be stressful and they were both so friendly and helpful and upbeat. They were very careful with our belongings both during the loading process and the unloading. They were so professional and so much fun to be around!

Where to start! First I will say the guys who actually did the work were great guys. First, even tho their representative had been out to our home to see our items to be moved, and saw that we live down a narrow gravel road, they sent the biggest tractor trailer to load our belongings. ( our things ended up filling about half or less of the truck ) They tore up our neighbor’s front yard trying to back in. Even got stuck in their yard, requiring a tow truck to come pull them out. ( never offered an apology or compensation) I had one item that was important to me. They had a special form for me to fill out describing the item. It is a 100 year old secretary/curio cabinet that belonged to my grandmother. ( they did offer additional insurance for another 450.00...my feeling was if I’m paying them 2,500.00 to move us 220 miles then I should get my things down there in one piece) They were scheduled to deliver our items on a Thursday. They called to tell us it would be Friday. Ok. They arrived and unloaded and all was well until one of the guys came in and handed me the entire front leg to the secretary. No, it shouldn’t come off. It was snapped off. They also crushed the top to our shredder but I wasn’t upset over that. I didn’t make a scene. Just filed a claim for the damage. Today I got my check. 27.00 for the antique secretary and 4.00 for my 60.00 shredder. I would avoid them if you can. And carry your precious things yourself!

Great experience. Moving sucks, but they made it as painless as possible. Very easy to get a quote. Did a good job with some big pieces in some tight spaces. Would recommend

I have utilized the services of McConnell Brothers for two moves and the service was excellent each time. All employees of McConnell Brothers, including management, worked to make the moves as easy as possible for me and my family. Very happy with their services.

I ordered a table back in May and this company never told Wayfair that the table had water damage. I called and spent in total 4 hours trying to figure out why my table was over a month late. Come to find out that it was not delivered due to water damage. My replacement table has been rescheduled for delivery twice and the replacement has also taken a month to be delivered. Unacceptable.

Military move, lowest bidder, it shows in their work and lack of taking responsibility. Not only they destroyed all of our desks and more, they would not pay us back for the broken hammock by saying that it wasnt on the inventory sheet. If you have to use them, I sugeeest you take pictures of ALL items BEFORE and AFTER. Dont listen to what they tell you, they lie. We were only reimbursed $160 for items they broke that totaled in at least $1,000 loss to replace all items they broke. And thats being conservative. We had no to lie. But they wont take responsibility. Worst movers ever.

My daughters safe somehow didnt get unloaded off the truck...Considering it was the last thing loaded and should of been the first thing unloaded...sounds a little shady of your drivers...sounds like they thought they would never miss a 6ft safe that had there life history in it...and they would not anwer the phone when my son in law tried to call them back and guess what....when they got back to where they needed to go....the safe was still on the truck...so yes this sounds like there were trying to steal this safe. This is a military family...a man that a severed this country for more than 20 years and this is how your employees treat him by trying to take a safe from his family. I would had them pulled over and the truck search but we had no idea which way they were going and they would not answer there phone...They should be arrested and you need to fire these three employees...So make sure to ask and tell them not to send this Mayflower mower to move you if you dont want your valuables stolen

We moved all our household goods using McConnell Brothers from Mississippi to Alabama, and we were very pleased from beginning to end. Bob came out and gave us a fixed-price estimate, along with suggestions to make the move as smooth as possible. Martha kept us informed of the moving date and times the truck would show up. John, the driver and main guy in charge of the move, did an outstanding job in packing and moving us out of our house in Mississippi and into our home in Alabama. They arrived on time and completed the move-in as promised. We highly recommend McConnell Brothers.

I am giving McConnell one star because it will not allow me to give anything less. I have used this company 5 times in the last 6 years and have been satisfied with them. However on our last move we had some damaged items and damage to our new home. After making a claim and being assured everything would be taken care of, nothing has been done. I received a letter today stating the that my entire claim has been denied and they consider the the matter closed. they will not return phone calls or emails. I am not sure if they have had a change in management but i would not recommend using them.

WOW...I guess we arent alone at the horror of this moving company calling people liars after they damage your valuables. You spend thousands of dollars with a “reputable” company to move your antiques into your new home and not only do they damage your furniture but also your new home and aren’t responsible. Can’t imagine how they can continue business thus way...go find another moving company who cares because Chad and his people do not!!!

True professionals. Weve heard so many nightmare stories about military moves and this was the exact opposite . Packers : Amy, Carla, Nicole (The girls) and movers Bryant, Vincent and James were such an awesome group. Fun, conversational and expeditious workers. We can only hope that our moves start this well in the future .

Mcconnell Brothers moved antique furniture and family heirlooms, including a set of dishes from Starkville, MS to Tacoma, WA.They did a wonderful job in all respects. They efficiently packed and moved the furniture into the truck in about 3 hours. They kept me informed of the location and progress of the truck in transit. They notified me when the movers were to arrive at my daughters home. Upon arrival at my daughters home. The movers unpacked the furniture and placed it where she wanted it. Everything arrived intact.Very professional company. I very much appreciated the work they did.

Movers damaged the door on the home we sold as we moved out. I sent multiple photos of the dents and scratches paint. Basically, I was called a liar when the owner said the damage looked like it had been done previously. It was a new door that had just been painted! One of my favorite lamps was broken to bits when I unpacked it, and worst of all, our expensive king mattress they stored for four months is lopsided now. If you use this company, be sure to buy the insurance. Youll need it.

EDIT: Because the owner has seen fit to attempt to deflect all blame and responsibility here I decided to update my now two month old review.I ordered a dresser August 8th, Waifair shipped same day. The Mcconnells received the dresser August 19th. I received the dresser around two weeks ago in October. How did it take a delivery company two months to deliver to an address that is less than an hour and a half away? Well, buckle up kiddos because I have a story to tell.On the first scheduled day of delivery, the day that the owner claims THREE attempts were made to call the number listed, my girlfriend and I scheduled off work and prepped for the dresser. Old dresser thrown away, clothes folded on the bed awaiting new dresser. Delivery was scheduled between 4-8pm. At 9pm, we assumed, rightly so, that they were not going to show.We attempt to call the Mcconnell brothers the next day. No answer. They closed at 4pm. Understandable, but we both worked until 5 all week; how could we get in touch? We called Wayfair. They told us they would reschedule. But the new delivery date doesnt work for us and we call the Mcconnell brothers to reschedule. The kind lady at the office tells us shell pass it along. We hear nothing for two weeks (the time of this original review.) Call the Mcconnell brothers AGAIN and they tell us Wayfair canceled our order. Okay, sounds like bull. We call Wayfair and they tell us they absolutely did not do that. In fact they tell us the dresser was marked delivered by the Mcconnells. They send us a new dresser at no cost to us. They even refunded us a partial amount for the trouble.Okay, cool. Another two weeks of waiting. A new day is scheduled by the Mcconnell brothers, but it is scheduled so soon we cant request off. And weirdly scheduled earlier in the day 12pm-4pm, neither of us would be home. We ask to reschedule and this time we have a good day picked. My girlfriend sits at home awaiting the delivery. She calls to make absolutely sure they have the correct number and will call her when they are on the way. I come home from work, and again no dresser. She shows me texts from the delivery driver where she asked for some verification they are coming today, along with directions and a backup phone number. They respond saying they are already in town. An hour passes and shes heard nothing, she reaches out asking if they are coming. Shes understandably upset at this point and is a bit rude. The driver stops responding. Our dresser was not delivered. She calls the office the next day and no one will pick up the phone. So we call Wayfair again. They are mortified. They give us another hefty discount on our order and insist theyll do a bit of angry calling on our behalf. We get a new delivery date.Dawn of the final day: 24 hours remain. We have given up hope that we will get this dresser we ordered nearly two months ago. The scheduled delivery time comes and goes. No word from the drivers or the office. They have stopped answering our calls. They must have blocked her number because her texts are now ignored too. However I text from my phone asking the status of the now late delivery. I get a phone call within SECONDS, they had been ignoring her texts! The driver says he is lost and that they had attempted to deliver before, but were lost on that day too. But they didnt feel the need to call on that day? After an eternity of guiding this driver into an apartment complex that no GPS has ever struggled to find, I watch as two men do their best to carry a dresser up three flights of stairs. A task I wouldve helped with normally but after all of this AND ignoring my girlfriends texts; Id be lying if I said I didnt enjoy this.Perhaps I shouldve helped, as the men left the dresser upside down in a torn box in my living room with paint chips on the front from mishandling. Wayfair provided yet another refund for this, essentially giving us the dresser for the cost of shipping. All in all Wayfair is 11/10 in customer service and the Mcconnell brothers really can eat my organ. Have a day

This is one of the worst, strangest interactions/experiences I’ve ever had with a company. First off, let me say this is in reference to McConnell’s service as a local delivery hub for Wayfair so we did not choose this business by choice. We ordered a loveseat and a sofa in the same transaction from Wayfair April 11. We get a notification that the loveseat arrived at McConnell’s warehouse April 19 and the sofa on April 22. I get emails saying that the loveseat is scheduled for delivery Friday April 26 and the sofa the following day. It lists the delivery manager’s number (I won’t mention their name) in the email to call and reschedule if those dates don’t work. The email also states that they are supposed to call you ahead of time but I never got a call. I decide to call them, first of all because we live on base and wanted to know if we needed to sponsor them on. I get no response so I finally text and ask if both can be delivered Friday as we were planning to go out of town Saturday. I figured that would be easier to deliver both at the same time anyway. At first he tells me they are unable to deliver tomorrow and tells me that picking them up myself is an option ha! I then remind him that the loveseat is scheduled for Friday so they have to come either way and he says “Oh” and that he will place both on the truck that evening. The next day we get the delivery. Loveseat is dropped off but no sofa. Delivery person says she is certain there was never a sofa on the truck. Says she will check with her boss. I text delivery manager again and ask about the sofa and he says he will check the truck when it gets back. This was Friday. No response. I call McConnell’s main line and they say they have nothing to do with Wayfair deliveries and that he is the only person that does and that they can’t help me. I check in Saturday as well and again Monday. We get nothing for FIVE days. No text, no call, no email. Nothing. I go ahead and call Wayfair and let them know what’s going on. Finally Tuesday, (today) comes around and the truth finally comes out. First he sends me an email that he is contacting Wayfair customer service to figure out how best to proceed. Still not disclosing what happened. I then text and inquire about picking up the sofa myself because he is still not responding to email or answering the phone. Finally he tells the truth. “We do not have the couch.” I ask him for details and he brushes it off and says I need to speak to Wayfair from this point on. Wayfair says the sofa is considered “lost in transit” at this point and issues a replacement and now we have to wait another three weeks. Never an apology, an explanation, nothing from delivery manager. If he could have just let us know Friday what was going on, we could have started the process of replacement with Wayfair sooner. I am still just in shock that a company could be so irresponsible and so easily lose track of a COUCH. And then not even own up to it or apologize to the customer. And leave us wondering what happened for five days. If you order any large items from Wayfair please be wary. The entire situation is very suspicious and unsettling. Not to mention we will have to deal with them again for the replacement sofa. Fingers crossed this one doesn’t get “lost” too. Please be careful with this company.

UPDATE** My delivery was delivered and the gentlemen who delivered it were great! They were on time, professional and nice to work with, especially Larry. Im pleased this situation was resolved and ended on a positive note.Im currently having a VERY NEGATIVE experience with this company regarding a delivery. They didnt have all the items to be delivered and said they could only deliver the entire order. They are now refusing to redeliver until late next week. It was their mistake and I had to pay someone to meet the delivery truck yesterday! I hope this company changes their attitude and that I am able to come back and change my review.!!#terriblecustomerservice #makeyourmistakesright #ijustwantmyfurniture

We have moved 7 times and this was the worst move we have ever had. This move was from Mississippi to Texas. Absolutely no communication between our estimator and moving folks. They did not send out enough people to move our household goods. I had to call and request additional workers. The driver in charge of the move was rude and totally indifferent to any of our input and concerns. He was more interested in what I was going to buy for lunch and the amount of his tip. They even tried to pull the moving truck (I am talking tractor trailer rig) in our driveway, luckily I was outside and stopped them as we had no rebar in the driveway only wire mesh. We had more damage in this move than in the previous 6 moves. Do yourself a favor and choose another mover.

This move was one for the record books. The packers did a great job. Very efficient. The girls brought a guy with them that was lazy and careless. He packed my wedding dress in a box that was intended for dishes. The morning of my move Mr. Johnny pulled up in a truck that was too small for our home. He assured me he could get everything inside this truck. Well after 8 hours of trying to force everything in the truck he brought he admitted everything wouldnt fit and he would have to rent a uhaul. There was one problem... he was the only driver with a valid drivers license. He rented a truck and had no choice but to allow a non licensed driver drive the uhaul. The boys complained the entire time about the heat, their supervisor, the pay and Mr. McConnell. The day of deliver Mr. Johnny came with a new crew which happened to be a lot older. Our new home has hardwood flooring which they chipped and scratched while moving the furniture inside our house. We paid for assembly but they lost the crews to our furniture. At the time we didnt know there was an issue until we checked behind them and noticed everything was assembled incorrectly. They even hid our bed slats in the attic. Our crib cannot be converted because we are missing manufacture screws. I called the office that day and left Suzy R. A vm. She returned my call the next day directed me to file a claim within 9 months. I filed the claim for everything that was damaged and Mr. McConnell sends me less than $250 and denied liability on my floors. He will not return any emails or phone calls. I would not recommend this company for a personal move or government paid for move. If you are forced to use this company make sure you record what is going on because Mr. McConnell will not honor your claim in full. Document everything on the invoices yourself. Someone even forged a signature on the delivery documents which is all you have to rely on. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
