Valentines Day was a great time to stop in to check this out. Had a great discussion with Dee Dee. Very enjoyable and totally a great owner that is totally in to her product. Great assortment of chocolates. Got a pound of the #1 assortment. She also gave me a couple of there Turtles to sample. OMG, nice and creamy chocolate with Carmel and nuts. I could have ate a ton of them. Everyone should take the time to stop in and try their chocolates. You definitely wont be disappointed.

A long-standing Columbus confectionery that still makes some of the finest candies and chocolates around.We are fans of dark chocolate and always find a great assortment at Eagle Family Candies. I also have a weakness for their peanut brittle and chocolate barks, so check those out if you enjoy those.Its well worth the time to travel here during their business hours. You will be glad you did.

I called Eagle Family Candy with questions about their buckeye candies. James was very helpful on the phone. He went above and beyond to help me with my order and even let me pick it up after work hours. When I arrived he showed me the chocolates and boxed them up in a beautiful box! I tried one and they were delicious. I cannot wait to give them as a gift and buy more. This place is a gem in Clintonville! I would recommend anyone wanting candy for themselves or as gift shop here!

Ive been hearing so much about this place, people telling me its the best theyve had. I couldnt nail down why. Ive had chocolate before. And generally, if youve had some, youve had them all. Im beginning to see whats going on now. The reason they taste so good is because theyve been making the chocolate the same way for 100 years. The owners have passion and a vision, hence why theyre beginning to expand. The chocolates are made like art, from the treats, to the baskets and boxes. Its an amazing presentation, rich in tradition and culture. Im excited for the future of the company, and glad I got to go before they blow up. :)

I just recently dropped in and tried there peanut brittle on the owners advice. It was great smooth sweet crunchy with touch of heat. Totally recommend....:)

The BEST candy I have ever had!!!!! I have loved John Eagle candy my entire life and I am 70 years old. My grandmother worked for John Eagle senior for years and years and retired from the old store. I lived out of state for 26 years and had family ship me candy. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT JUST ONCE.!!!!!.

My husbands family has gone there for decades. We enjoy keeping the tradition alive. Great customer service. Tasty chocolates. Reasonably priced.

My boyfriend surprised me today with a box of chocolates. I have lived in Columbus for 50 years and have never had this candy. WOW! I am Russel Stovers fan, but now an Eagle Family Candy fan. There is no doubt this candy is homemade and made with lots of years of love! Then he brought in the Easter Baskets for the grandkids. Took me back to my childhood and the baskets we received. I honestly have not seen baskets like these 30 years. Looking forward to the looks on their faces! I look forward to more visits. My boyfriend made the comment the selection was nor that large. I told him the candy is handmade, with quality ingredients and awesome candy takes time. Especially when they are making BEAUTIFUL baskets. I am sure they have special orders that need filled as well. My only wish is that I experienced this candy long before now! Thank you for a fantastic box if chocolates!

This is the candy shop of my childhood. When we were poor and had nothing, there was somehow a John Eagle egg in each of our baskets on Easter morning. My name was hand drawn in icing and inside was sweet goodness that guaranteed a tummy ache if I tried to eat the whole thing. For 100 years, this family has sweetened the tooth of Clintonville. I live 1,000 miles away and still get candy shipped to me because you just cant beat family tradition.

Its been a place I have been going since I was a small child. When you walk in the aroma embraces you, and takes you to a simpler time of life. They treat you like family, and are very helpful. And the candy, wow, its amazing! I love this place. Its not a holiday without John Eagle Candy♡

Found this hidden gem this past year and if i may say anything about this candy shop its that you could nkt leave unhappy if you tried. Its a small family owned business, passed down through the generations over many decades. From the customers ive met both younger and older kind service and quality product has always been a part of both this business and the family that keeps their family dream alive.There is a wide variety of products including the best buckeye in columbus 2019 award winning peanut butter and chocolate delicacies that i make sure i grab at least one of every time i stop, amazing peanut brittle, butter cremes, eaglettes (just like turtles), opera creme, chocolate covered anything including custom dips and molds, chocolate covered strawberrys, and many many more.The family you meet in this business will always bring a smile to your face, and they work hard almost year round to please columbus. Ive had the pleasure of getting to know them on a more personal basis over time because you find yourself walking in for a pound of chocolate and leave an hour later with a life lesson and some free samples (always available). Will reccomend Eagle Family Candy Co. For as long as they remain open which hopefully i never see the day they close.

Terrible customer service, terrible showcase, couldn’t tell you about their product because I never got to try it. Made two trips, spending 2 hours in the car for two broken promises because they didn’t feel like making my promised order. That’s it, they just didn’t feel like keeping their word and making my order. With service like this I have no idea how they are still in business.
