I saw just 1 Google review and 2 other reviews when I tried to determine if I wanted to contact A-1 Maytag to come fix our expensive, in-wall refrigerator. All of the reviews were more than 12 months old and rather negative. I was concerned, but the other repair service option that Kitchen-Aid gave me had even worse reviews.The service I got was FABULOUS! I contacted A-1 Maytag on Friday December 30. We had already had one service company tell us the 10-year old refrigerator couldnt be fixed. A-1 initially told me that they generally only serviced what sell, while being very sympathetic to my problem. After the person who took my call talked to his service manager, he said they would try to see what they could do, but didnt promise anything. The service manager called me back later and said he thought they could fix it, but needed to order an expensive kit (5% of the cost of the refrigerator). Three (3!) working days later at 0900 they called and asked if they could come put it in. They basically had to replace the whole control system. Very clean. Very professional. Very personable. Happy wife. Happy (cheap) husband. Happy life.

If you want great service and professionalism this is the store to go to. They know their products and are extremely helpful.

Great family run business. Darlene saved the day - helped me select refrigerator over the phone. It was delivered the next day - her son and co-worker carefully removed and reinstalled doors to move it into our kitchen. They took time, paid attention to detail, knew the product, and provided excellent service. This was in contrast to refrigerator originally ordered from a box store - horrible experience - were unable to deliver for 5 days because deliveries were backed up, the refrigerator was not in a boxed or protected in the truck, they damaged house door trying to move it in and refrigerator ended up being damaged and dented. Canceled order and went with A-1. Great decision!

I called this morning about a part (possibly ordering one )John Ledbetter said computers were down, would not be up maybe this afternoon, this was at 10 am, I then I had to suggest can I leave the part number with you and you can get back with me, thats not my job to suggest leave a part number, and furthermore,when I called earlier and got his son he said we dont work on GE appliances they are Chinese, look at the above picture its my chinese mother young man, all I wanted to know was a compatible part!!
