Much better than Lowes in terms of customer service overall though pretty similar. I love that they help you load your big orders though

Just a simple tool rental. Initial employee was new and older gentleman behind the desk was a little rude to him as a “teaching experience”. The reason for 1 star is my return experience. Two people ran out of the store through the rentals door and there was a confrontation. I assume they were trying to steal and two Home Depot employees chased them down. The would be thieves almost hit another customer with their car but hit his cart full of products instead and almost hit my car. This was at 6pm in daylight. I don’t think I’ll consider this store again unless I have a Kevlar vest. The employees just laughed and said crazy things happen. No no crazy things don’t just happen. How about investing in security???

Not all Home Depots are the same. This one on Cleveland Avenue is quite extensive. There is an entire indoor lumber yard. A beautifully stocked outdoor nursery with a wide variety of flowers to choose from. The rental store includes more than just trailers, there is a large selection of heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, cranes and other heavy equipment. This site provides the customer with a selection of products that might not be available at other stores.

Large, well organized garden center and plenty of staff inside and in the garden center to get speedy assistance. This is not the closest location to my home but worth the few extra miles.

Needed plumbing parts and the employee that was walking into work Thu the department stopped and told me and the employee that was helping me of a better choice.

The had exactly what we were looking for, plus some beautiful and inexpensive succulents.

Extremely disappointed with Greg’s lack of willingness to accommodate an exchange without proof of purchase. The item was purchased 2 weeks prior and accounts for a small fraction of what I spend there regularly. Very disappointing since I have always driven farther to shop at Home Depot when Lowe’s is 2 miles from home. And also since I’ve spoke so highly of Ridgid tools. Greg admitted he had the authority to do the exchange but opted not to. As long as I am out $179 I won’t shop at Home Depot again.

Staff was kind, but a few just seemed they hated their job. A little under trained as far as handling pro accounts and crediting ones account with purchases that werent initially added. I just ended up figuring it out myself by getting on my app and typing in my receipt numbers. Reason I gave them 3 stars is because I had to wait around just to get a table saw that I drove there for and customer service acted like they had more important things to do than help me... It was late and I worked all day and still needed to get groceries and it set me back on time.

They had the space heater that we need at a good price 🙂

This home Depot rental associate was very rude and saying demeaning things to the person before me in line today. When I got online I told him that I wanted a certain equipment. He put it on the cart and on his way up I asked if a small one would work better. He replied with a very rude comment. Not professional at all and not the position he should be in.

Whoever you have working in the customer service area that’s pretty young, complete attitude problem. god forbid i didn’t hear her the first time she called me over so i get rolled eyes and the bag i brought got snatched. customer service needs some customer service

Organization of goods was a bit strange. We were looking for spray foam which turned out to be in the middle of the lumber department. All associates that we encountered were knowledgeable and polite.

I have shopped at this store for over 16 years..it is going downhill. The store is the most unorganized that I have ever saw it, very dirty, no one to help you or answer your questions ..its sad.

Fast in and out. People are friendly. Only problem is tool pricing. Internet price showed 34 dollars to rent a 14 ft a frame ladder. I was surprised when it cost me 42.03. tax and insurance was not accounted for on the web site. Some of us are on a tight budget. I will call for a exact price next time.

DO NOT BUY KITCHEN APPLIANCES HERE! The store rep was very helpful and nice when we placed our order in the store. However, it was all downhill from there. We purchased a full kitchen suite of appliances. They were delivered over a week ago and I still do not have my dishwasher or microwave installed. The delivery team is “not allowed” to drill through tile so they were unable to install my microwave and told us we had to remove the tile backsplash in our BRAND NEW HOUSE before they’d come back to install the microwave. They did NOT tell us this when we made the purchase. In addition, they are “not allowed” to connect to plastic plumbing/valves for the dishwasher, another thing they did NOT tell us upon purchase. They had to send a plumber to come out to exchange the plastic valve for a metal one. Then, instead of him installing the dishwasher, I had to call back to reschedule AGAIN. This time I got an appointment but the day came and I heard nothing about a time window. I call to see what’s going on and they said they had a system error and forgot to route my appointment and the next available one is 2 weeks away. They said it was an error on their part and they did nothing except say sorry. What’s the point in paying extra for installation when I have to wait weeks for it to be done, or not done at all? Instead I’m sitting here with two appliances that I can’t even use. We spent well over $8k and this is how they treat their customers? I will not be shopping at Home Depot anymore. This experience has been awful and stressful on top of the stress already from moving!

Never have I been somewhere and been treated so poorly. The guy working in the tool rental department has 0 customer service skills. Was shaking his head at me, throwing his hands in the air and talking under his breath. After we were patiently waiting for him when returning a tool. Should probably find someone who actually enjoys their job.

Home depots not a bad store at all but in my opinion its not as good as Lowes. Ridgid just aint fu#&+ng with Kobalt on the power tools

I used curbside pickup today after an online order yesterday. I was very impressed by the efficiency of the pickup system. The process was fast & seamless - mostly due to the wonderful employee whom brought my product out and helped me get it into the car. Would highly recommend

I just want to give a shout out for exceptional Customer service. I was in your store on Cleveland Avenue yesterday 12/05 2020. I was looking for a clamp for my dryer vent hose. Upon entering the store I asked two different people about where to go to find this. Both gave me incorrect areas to look in. I was very frustrated that nobody actually knew where to direct me. Then I was approached by Alec. I explained to him about what I was looking for and instead of just telling me to go here or there he actually helped me find the clamp that I needed. He was so nice and attentive and helpful. I was really impressed with the fact that he actually walked with me until we located the item. Then walked me to the check out area to pay for my purchase. Customer service like this is a rare thing and I just had to write this review. Alec deserves an accommodation for being an exceptional employee and my shopping experience was very pleasurable. Thank you so much!!!

Customer service here seems to have poor communication with management. Staff seemed confused with assisting me on where certain products were, and each person they called for extra help would send me in the opposite direction I was originally sent. Maybe its new staff still learning the store? Other than that, the store was well kept and clean.

Perhaps most pertinent is that I stopped at Lowes first, did not find what I needed, then went to Home Depot, where I did find what I wanted. A good visit, quick, efficient.

We rented a insulation blower from this Home Depot after already having a bad experience with another rental store. We entered the rental section of the store and were automatically met with distaste and a bad attitude from all three workers in that part of the store. After sharing with them our experience with another store their only response was “well you should have just bought everything including your insulation with us to begin with and then your rental would have been free” which made us feel even worse. The machine ended up working great for our job but we will not be returning to this store again because even upon returning to their store we were met with nothing but a bad attitude even from the supervisor of the department.

Your tool rental department is a horrible joke.The past 3 weeks youve rented me tools in non working order. Costing my buisness money keeping deposit after deposit when your tools do not function.. I purchased a milwaukee tool combo online and the 12.0 battery is messed up I called into HD and they sent me to the store to exchange. I arived at this location and the customer service lady told me that they could not help me and I had to call Milwaukee direct. I explained that I called in to HD customer care and they spoke to a different location in Bowling Green Ohio and they said that it wouldnt be a issue at all. I dont live close to any Home depots and I happens to be in the Columbus area for an appointment so I stopped here. I was told by the customer service rep that maybe Bowling green is a little more lenient on policy and maybe I should try them Im a retail manager myself this statement is a horrible look for this store. All store should be on the same page and take care of the customer.

Their customer service is terrible... its a material problem, they wont refund it! It is not recommended to buy materials here.

I love Home Depot, but a girl named Beverly st returns was extremely rude. She made me wait while she was talking to coworker then seemed like I was bothering her. I checked out and said thank you and have a great day like I always do and she said nothing. Ive never met a rude HD employee until her!!!

The staff in the garden center were teenagers, and obviously there for the physical labor, bc they werent very helpful or polite.I wasnt able to find what I was looking for, and none of the staff seemed eager to help. Apparently, theres a shortage of wisteria this year. This store didnt have any, but then neither did their competitors!

Helpful staff and I can always find what I need. I like that the stores are usually laid out the same so you arent hunting every time you go to another store, very useful when doing maintenance or contracting work in many different areas.

Home Depot was informative help me locate what I was looking for and its always a pleasure to shop at home Depot

After paying for our purchases And getting into our truck I noticed my brand new phone was not in my purse. My husband called my number to see if it was in the truck. We heard no ring tone. A few seconds later his phone rang and Terrick an employee let us know he found my phone and would take it to the pro desk. Thank you Terrick for your kindness.

Deliver service awful. Wood was delivered, no call b4 coming, no doorbell, no knock. Just drop the pallet blocked my car in the garage. I did call the Cleveland ave store and corporate. As of 5:00 pm, no resolve this started at 2:00. I cant move the wood & the contractors will not be here until Saturday 5/8/21.

I approached customer service where are young lady whats laying on the counter texting her friends I said excuse me and asked to speak with a manager and she just looked at me I had to ask again dont know what she did she disappeared came back never said anything to me 10 minutes later I asked her did you call a manager she replied yes I did I literally had to ask because she wouldnt say anything to me disrespectful customer service I stood in the store for 42 minutes no one ever came from management I asked another employee to get the manager and she walked off and never came back now I see why Lowes is a better place to shop do not shop at Home Depot at this location

Ive been buying equipment and material from Home Depot for years now and Ive only had one problem returning something out of multiple trips there. It was actually my fault because I was returning a window air conditioner because it blew out warm air. I didnt have the box or the receipt but the bar code was on the side of the unit and the woman working the service desk wouldnt make know exceptions for the return. I was explaining to her that I had called and explained that I didnt have either and someone had told me that if all I want was a exchange there wouldnt be any problems bringing it back. So naturally I was upset and the manager was standing at the exit door and heard me complaining about the situation and he told me to come back in the store and he would make it right because hes seen me in the store multiple times in the past buying tools and materials. He exchanged it and I havent had one problem with the new one. I think he went above and beyond the expectations of a manager and for this, I buy all my tools and materials from Home Depot and wouldnt go anywhere else if you paid me!

No snow shovels during a snow storm. Local shops had them but this big chain didnt have the foresight to know people would want snow shovels....when it was snowing.

My first experience was trying to buy carpet after my home flooded. I purchased a 5 day carpet and was assured by multiple employees and the person who came to do my measurement that it would be ready for install within 5 days. Only after I paid for it was I told that even though it is advertised as a 5 day carpet, it would be 3 weeks for delivery minimum due to covid-19. While I understand the delay due to the virus, I should have been told about this prior to buying and waiting for install. All of the Home Depot signage and all of the employees who I spoke with while buying this carpet told me it would be ready in 5 days. When I spoke with the manager and asked that this signage be taken down or at least a note added saying this was not the case, so people like me who need carpet installed quickly would not pay for a 5 day carpet that they will not get for 3-4 weeks, I was told the incorrect signage would remain up even though it was incorrect. This is knowingly false advertising. I also attempted to schedule an interior door measurement and install. I submitted the form twice on the website and didnt receive a call back either time. When I tried to call the store to schedule the measure, I was on hold for over 20 minutes with 4 different employees all who transferred me to the wrong place. The last one I spoke with was incredibly rude and actually yelled at me for calling the wrong department. When I tried to explain to her that I was transferred to her and had been waiting for some time, she hung up on me. I suppose I am just giving up on this store and shopping somewhere else.

I will NEVER buy anything here again! The store manager refused to honor a sale for us! We were unable to complete our sale Labor Day Weekend when the tornadoes were moving thru Columbus. We were told to leave the store or go in the back, and our sales person said she was leaving, so we had to leave. She told us what day she worked next, and my husband returned that day, and the store manager refused to honor the sale! He said we shouldnt have left during the tornado warning!!! But our salesperson left, so what could we do??? Extremely unprofessional!!!

Went to Home Depot to purchase a blind for my bathroom. Needed assistance with cutting to dimensions that I needed. 6 employees walked past and refused to acknowledge me when I inquired about assistance. Then went to service desk to seek help. Worker at desk had to call 4 times to request assistance. 30 minute wait! Will be going to Lowes next time!

It was great I had an unusual light bulb that I needed and they found someone to find it for me they were real nice and it didnt take me long I thank the young man that helped me today. I came home put it in and it work😊

I was advised by the Home Depot card company to contact the store because they couldn’t apply a coupon I qualified for opening a new account. I spoke with Lucinda from the flooring department. She acted unprofessional and rude. After explaining what she can and can’t do I had a question about a limitation on the coupon that states it has to be used within 30days. She didn’t even let me finish asking the question and started yelling at me on the phone like she was talking her child saying she can’t help. She was yelling on the phone saying she has customers lined up that she had to assist. Basically my question isn’t important. At this point we were both talking on top of each other. I then told her she had been professional and if she had listened to my question we would have been off the phone in less than 1minute for her to take care of the “urgent” customers she talked about. She asked me to hold but I hanged up. I get the fact that we are all stressed but my question would have taken about 30seconds yet her rude and unprofessional behavior made her stay on the phone more than a minute. people have to leave their rude attitude in their home so they don’t destroy a whole company’s reputation. I’m giving 5 star for Jennifer and Craig. Jennifer and Craig went above and beyond for me. If you have any issue in the store talk to Jennifer and anything flooring Craig is your guy. These two make the world a better place especially in difficult times like our current situation

Was depoting for home products namely plumbing supplies and tools. Found the proper tools, a 6 foot toilet auger that was able to remove a blockage Im not allowed to described on the internet because of something about the 5th amendment and crimes against humanity. The supplies were so I could fix a sink drain and trap. Home Depot did not stop me from buying the wrong size however so in the end I still made the customary two trips to the Home Despot. Plumbing now 100% in the parental units household.
