Came here early to mid-afternoon and ordered a large cappuccino (which is what I normally order at cafes) with a slice of white cake.I was really impressed with the aesthetic of the cafe and really enjoyed how wonderful and personable the staff here were. They were super friendly and the cafe felt warm, inviting, and cozy, with a lot of charm and a huge variety of mugs and other neat little items on the wall behind the bar.The cappuccino itself was a 5 star cappuccino. It really was great, and I highly recommend it. The flavor was smooth and with enough of a robust punch of espresso to really make it a great coffee. It was just very very solid coffee. I will definitely be back for the coffee from this first impression.On the other hand, I wont be back for the cake, which was just disappointing. The frosting was fluffy, which I know some people like, but it really isnt my thing. I thought it was overly sweet while being too light and not standing out flavor-wise in any way, leaving a very lackluster taste. The cake layers themselves were okay, but nothing special. It was just generic white cake that ended up feeling like nothing special and a bit of a waste of $4.50 (it was kind of a small slice as well...).Off the strength of the coffee alone this was a 4 star experience, and Ill be back to try even more of the coffees and desserts / pastries here.

Just passing through, but I’d stay another day to get just one more cup of matcha from this place. It’s rare to get a perfect cup. Super vibrant green, hot, with a nice velvety foam. Definitely should be enjoyed with oat milk, yum.

I was taken to DRIP COFFEE by a friend, had never been before, and was disappointed with my ☕ coffee, as I found it to be weak, and I am an avid coffee drinker that drinks my coffee black for the rich, full taste. The server, who may have overheard my remark to my friend bc I did not complain, came and asked to replace my coffee. The replacement cup was FABULOUS exactly as I wanted it. I was extremely pleased that DRIP COFFEE not only went the extra mile for a customer but was attentive enough to know that a customer was not satisfied and made it right. I highly recommend this place, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is positively charming. Thank you DRIP COFFEE for your excellent coffee, service, and a most pleasant afternoon.

Go to coffee place in and around five points. Extensive coffee menu. If you love your coffee kinda sweet, please do try honey vanilla latte. If you love experimenting with coffee, try rose cardamom latte. Also hot mocha with whipped cream is the best around.

Coffee was great. The atmosphere was okay however we would prefer more clean environment. But that just our opinion. Food was good. Meter parking is available in front of the coffee shop. Please bring enough quarters for the meter parking. Overall this is a great place to hang out!

Awesome spot... great coffee... great aesthetic... they actually played Metallica’s Ride the Lightning album straight through... they served my drink in a ceramic mug with a metal spoon instead of generating plastic waste like most other places do... definitely coming back when I pass through town again.

I was in an unfamiliar city (big college town) my car was towed, I had on my least comfortable shoes and I walked for ages looking for a gift shop for Fathers Day which was probably closed anyway. Then it started pouring rain. Then I found drips (I know). These kind (I dont want to say hipsters) folks essentially saved my life. Loved the food. Pretty sure the beer was all made my local brewers. Loved it to. Let me use their phone. It was the point that turned my day around. I now worship them. We need more drips in this world.

Delicious and a very chill vibe there compared to the corporate feel at Starbucks. Staff is very friendly and professional. Plus they sell vinyl! Cant beat that!

Great breakfast sandwiches and decent coffee, pour over is the way to go for sure. They offer various origins and do a 15:1 water:coffee ratio on the pour over. Overall a great place to grab a bite and catch up with friends or sit and do some work. A job well done!

Great local spot. Definitely attracts the hipster and grad student crowd, usually able to find seating even with it being kind of a cozy space.

Welcoming environment and staff. The breakfast is delicious! The coffee is also delicious. You can tell the pour their hearts in the coffee and food.

Good customer service. Nice environment. I ordered a Bolivia (Tamarind), the coffe was decent, but nothing impressive, maybe my expectations were too high (I was expecting to have a kick of Tamarind, but it taste similar than americano). Is a good place to relax with friends and/or family.

The coffee flavours are very unique at this place. The beverages on the menu seems to be carefully crafted. The baristas are very friendly. Also, the suggestions by their baristas proved to be very helpful.

The best coffee shop in the Columbia area. Their pour over coffee is perfect everytime. The wide selection of coffees lets me try something different, but my favorites are the Peruvian and the Burundi. Their sandwiches are fantastic! The side of olives is amazing. My wife and I always buy an extra side of olives to take home for our charcuterie board. Also, for breakfast they have the best Lox bagel I have found in the area, I love the caperberries. They are so much better than the capers you would normally find on it.

Super cosey atmosphere. Ordered a iced honey habanero latte and the cheddar scone. Both were absolutely divine. Of you want to try a different twist from your normal coffee, I highly recommend the honey habanero latte.

This is one of my favorite places in all of Columbia! The vibes are always on point and it reminds me of something Id find in my hometown Seattle, WA. All of their coffee is amazing, and the matcha latte with oat milk, honey and vanilla is the best. Food selection is a little limited but it is high quality. Beer and wine too? Yeah, Drip is as good as it gets.

Probably my favorite coffee shop in Columbia. As far as I know every cup is made to order, so you dont get any older burnt coffee like Starbucks or McDonalds. Classy little layout too, with shelves filled to the brim with different kinds of coffee makers and mugs. Staff is always super chill and welcoming.

Why go all decadent with a carrot cake when you are having a honey habanero latte? Because you can! Fresh scones and 6 freshly ground verities of coffee all freshly dripped at the right temperature...what’s not to love?!

This place is fantastic. They have everything from cheese cake to quiche to cinnamon rolls to carrot and nut cakes. Definitely recommend this place. It is super clean and always smells amazing. The service is very nice and helpful of the time. They also do catering and wedding cakes!!

This was another successful find thanks to Yelp. After making a Costco run the next thing on our agenda was to find a good coffee shop and I rather support a local business than go with Starbucks. So thats how we found Drip, its was such a cute little hipster coffee shop, downtown Columbia just minutes away from the breathtaking University of South Carolina.

These people really know their coffee! The black bean hummus wrap and iced vanilla honey latte was amazing! Not overly sweet, you can tell their beans are quality

Forget Starbucks coffee. Go here and enjoy even better flavor coffee and deserts. I had the most flavorful coffee; and it’s Cool atmosphere. BUT there are way too many seats taken for long periods of time since they were all using their computers - do they know the university has a library!?!

Eclectic, and hipster... this is a great place... With a large selection of high quality coffees without the pretentious atmosphere of ubiquitous Seattle coffee chain, Drip is a breath of fresh air... That being said.... it is rough around the edges, and needs a massive cleaning... Still, I love this place...

Great atmosphere, good coffee, and delicious food! My favorite thing on the menu, besides all the coffee, is the brie and apricot jam sandwich. Also, if youre into classic rock, there is a record store in the back of the coffee shop.

I try to get into Drip as often as I can. Really fantastic coffee and awesome friendly staff. Its usually pretty busy, there isnt much seating and it can get pretty tight in there. However, the staff moves quickly and Ive never had to wait for very long. Their coffee is really worth the wait anyway.

One of the best cups of coffee ever. Only been there twice but both times their tasting notes for the beans i selected were spot on. They do a pour over so it does take a little time but im my opinion well worth it. Ive also sampled some of their baked goods. They were all fresh and very tasty.

The ambiance is wonderful and the selection is full of delicious options, some of which I havent yet tried. The prices are more than fair and the staff are friendly. Also, there always seems to be a variety of different characters from all walks of life to take up a chat or a game of chess. Far more personable and cozy than the Starbucks on the same block.

One of the most unique coffee shops in Columbia. Hot coffee is served as a pour-over, and theres always at least six different types of roasts available, each with its own signature notes. For a cafe so dedicated to its coffee, the food is exceptional.

I enjoyed the location and atmosphere! Its a cozy place with wood seating and tables that I really enjoyed the aesthetic of. I didnt catch the name of those working or the woman that helped me and my friend, but they were wonderful! I had an espresso milkshake and my friend had the breakfast protein shake as well as a couple of sandwiches with chips and fruit, and honestly Im impressed! I tried something I normally wouldnt and liked it, not to mention the fact that the prices are actually reasonable! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to others. I also appreciate that this location closes a bit later.

The coffee was great and the offerings were expansive. Even had beer — i found that a surprise, but sadly one i could not take advantage of when I visited. I’m sure this is a great Starbucks alternative for local workers in the area.

Very hipster vibe, but anyone could love. Love the menu and service is top notch. try the turkey sandwich or grilled pb & j on gluten free bread. ethical. great seating/vibe/smell. Not cheap.

Very warm and homey. A little out of my coffee comfort zone, but i had a great experience. Basically the environment and feeling of community you look for in a coffee shop. I believe pets are welcome at this location also, as i have seen a few small dogs inside before. 5 points can be a crazy location for parking so plan ahead or go on the weekend

In town for the week with work and was looking for a good cup of tea. I was not disappointed with the Wild Thai Black. Ended up here for dinner the next night and got the Roast Beef sandwich. More then likely I will be back later this week as it was wonderful. Both times staff was friendly.
