I noticed a problem with my car a few days before a long trip. I had just had it in for service ( regular maintenance and something else that was caught). This was a separate issueβ¦one of tire pressure. They were able to get my car in before I had to leave and worked with my family and I on getting a loaner to use for the day .They didnβt talk down to me yet explained what was going on with the car. They worked to provide my family and I with a way for us to be able to drop off the car by providing a loaner. Prices were fair and the work was done without any hitches. A very good experience. I would not advise anyone to take a vehicle to their service department. The service was rude and unacceptable. After scheduling an appointment more than a month ago for a qualifying recall I would expect them to have a better preparation of the job ahead and be able to explain it to the customer. I would recommend anywhere over here.

Everyone seemed to be suffering from the βMonday blahsβ. The customer waiting area was noisy.When I checked the tire pressure 2 tires had 40 pounds of air and 2 had 35 pounds of air.
Night and day difference between our last maintenance last year and this trip. Much improved customer service, 5 stars now! We were ready to drive to the Mexico Lincoln dealership after our experiences in 2020, but the new Lincoln concierge team is so much better. Specifically, Matt Walsh was outstanding, reliable, and professional.
I went in to Fords Quick Lane Service to inspect a car I had just purchased from out of state to make sure everything was good and there were no potential issues with my newly purchased (used) car. I met Eddie in the dealership and he walked to the service department. Cody in the service department was incredibly inviting and let me know everything they would check for an unofficial official inspection for my 08 Escape. The service was quick and easy. There was one or two cars in front of me and even then the estimated time was about 45 minutes to finish. I went on a short walk around the block to get a meal to find out they had finished while I was gone in just under an hour. And gave me a receipt explaining the service fees. There were no surprises. And everything was good with my car! I would come here again
The Ford shop advisor Jasmine, was very professional and attentive to the matters at hand. She provided timely status reports during the period that the car was in her care.Jacob, the tech who replaced my transmission a year and a half ago, diagnosed the issue correctly. He found the problem as needing front brake pads and rotors, not warranty work on the transmission.Here is the problem that earned Machens Service shop FOUR STARS: The price quoted to fix was 64 PERCENT HIGHER than a well-respected local small business repair shop (that accomplished the task admirably) - $660 v.s $420.Ergo, some repair should be done at Ford, most should not, and as a result, this time I saved $240!

Called about a vehicle I was interested in. The guy on the phone βEddieβ talked about it for 30 seconds than kept trying to up sell me 4 other vehicles... I called about a vehicle not 4 other ones that was more $10k+ over the original vehicle price I called for... told me heβd call me back in 5 mins after he realized I wasnβt interested in the other vehicles.. never received a call back. I felt more like a number than a customer.

Was in the mood to trade trucks off. Had leased a truck from Joe Machen two years ago. Was very pleased with the service I got there, even though I live in Texas now I still reached out to Dean Sidener to inquire about trading. He told me about all the offers Ford had going on right now. I told him what I was looking for in a truck, what I wanted and didnt want. A day later he called me back and sent pictures of two trucks. I decided on one, we negotiated everything and within 1 day the deal was done. 2 days later my truck was sitting in San Antonio TX in my driveway. The truck was easy more than I expected it to be, the service was impeccable. I will never buy another truck from anyone except Dean and Joe Machen Ford. Hands down the best customer relations and all around great people Ive ever dealt with.

I called at 5:00 pm to the sales department to check if the Ford F150 was available and he said yes and made an appointment for the next day. But the next day I traveled 120 miles to get there and the same guy said that the truck was sold the day before without letting me know. After I drived 120 miles to get there he said that I could pick a different one but when I told his manager about the situation he said that they dont notified people if the car is sold so thats why I would put 0 stars if I could.
Terry was great, very honest, experienced, and straightforward. It was the most pleasant car buying experience Iβve ever had. It was definitely worth the hour and 30 minute drive.If more dealers would would be honest and give customers the best deal up front (like JM did) instead of trying to screw them to get a few extra dollars, they would be better off on the long run.Iβm going back shortly to buy my mom a car.

Iβve ordered a few parts for my 2019 transit couple weeks ago and the parts guy said they will have to order it for me and call me when itβs arrive so I told him lets do it because I was really needed them ASAP. I called them today to check the status of my parts and they told me they didnβt order it after waiting about 2 weeks on them. And the second thing that really shocked me is the manager attitude he was so disrespectful and unprofessional he was literally laughing at me in this situation and telling me this is a normal thing and it happens a lot.I think they more focusing on selling the cars and not provide a good service afterwards. So definitely no more joe machines for me and my family.

Would not give me a price on my vehicle until I chose what vehicle I wanted sounded like a power-play to me why would that make a difference in what they offered.

One of my daughters had some problems with her car. Needed a $1,900 part and $150 part. With labor, around $3,000.I paid the diagnosis fee of $125.00 and was only given the part numbers needed after requesting them.Checked the parts on a genuine Ford parts website.The $1,900 part was $1,100. The list price was $1,500. So Machenswanted to charge $400 over the list price and I bet they didnt pay $1,100 for the part! The $150 part was $90. Spoke to a mechanicwho I knew and trusted and said that the labor cost wouldnt be over $400. So if you are going to take you car for Machens service I suggest you get a second bid. As for me and my family members,we will never do business with a rip off company like Machens again.

I have been getting regular mail to take my Mercury Milan car in for an airbag recall. I went in in 2018 to this very Joe Machens and they let me wait for a bit before they told me they would call me back and set up an appointment for the airbag replacement. I never got a call back. I reached out this year again to the service department to ask what happened and their Service Manager Mike York emailed me back and said he would contact me shortly. I never heard from him again despite two follow up emails. Today I found out a friend of mine bought a car from Joe Machens and the car was billowing white smoke just hours after purchase. Joe Machens is unwilling to fix the issue. I have never seen a more incompetent organization in my life. Buyer beware!
My husband and I found ourselves once again heading 2hrs away from our home in Springfield, MO to get a better deal when wanting to trade our car out. The used car we set out after did not meet our expectations and we briefly felt like we had wasted our time. However, with the combination of Gerry Smith helping us find the perfect vehicle and Jonathan Altamirano giving us an amazing deal, we were able to leave behind our 2011 Ford Edge(that was also purchased at Joe Machens) and drove away in a brand new 2020 Edge Titanium. We absolutely love it! We are amazed at how much better the new Edge is compared to the 2011 weβve been quite happy with.

This place deserves 0 Stars for their service department. I drive a 2020 Ford Escape and in February, 2021, I received an Important Safety Recall letter from Ford stating that there was a risk issue with the rear view camera. The letter states that parts are now available to repair your vehicle. I called Joe Machens Ford on Monday, March 15 and spoke with someone in the service department. I told the person about the letter, he asked me for the Compliance Recall Notice number which I gave to him. He stated he had an opening 3 days later, Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 am. I asked him how long it would take to make the repair. He told me half a day. I arrived at Joe Machens Ford at 6:30 am and was the first car in line. I dropped the car off for the repair and told the person there I needed the car back in the afternoon. I came back around 1:30 pm and was told that they had to order the part!!! I made the appointment 3 days in advance, they had the Compliance Recall Notice number and they knew what parts were needed to make the repair. I told the service person this was not an acceptable excuse, that I make a living driving in my car. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have encountered this problem that the parts needed to fix the car have to be ordered. So, if you ever need your vehicle repaired at Joe Machens Ford, be prepared to make 2 trips to get your car fixed!
I wanted to sing the praises of Sundra Mistler, our saleswoman, who was able to answer every question I had about the Edge Titanium I bought. Sundra was fun to work with and has a great attitude for working with people. I was also quite pleased that Machens was responsive to the written quotes I had from other car buying businesses regarding the worth of my trade-in, making the buying experience positive and rather quick. Good purchase. Love my Edge !!!
