My wife and I were recommended to this bakery for our wedding by our Venue, Secret Window Weddings in Monument, CO. We were very pleased with our tasting and all the amazing combinations for cakes they had available. We ordered a four tier cake with four different flavors and our guests absolutely loved them all! We mainly had the coconut cake which was delicious. We enjoyed our tasting and they made things very easy for us during the tasting and on our wedding day. We would recommend them to anyone!

I was referred to this business for my sons birthday cake, I ordered the cake and then read the reviews (not the best idea)! I got so nervous but these are by far the best cupcakes I have had and the design was awesome! The cake was so moist 🥴 and the vanilla frosting was the perfect amount of sweet! I am about to order again for my daughters birthday. 🥳🥳

Had a great time working with IOTC team! They were willing to squeeze me in with a last min top tier cake and cupcakes! Please know I made sure not to ask to much of them and I was equally as accommodating to what they were able and willing to do with a weeks notice. I loved their options for cake testing! They were more than reasonably priced 🎉! So many people asked where we got our cake and cupcakes the day of our gathering! Only a few weeks before my wedding day, they did not hesitate to help me change my entire wedding order to gluten free, but they were incredibly helpful and easy to work with. New management recently took over and they are amazing. The food is delicious the service is wonderful and I will keep going back for birthdays, and all events. If I could give them 20 stars I would. My husband got my birthday cake from here last November. It was amazing and delicious. Fast forward to our son’s birthday and I try to order from there. I reached out via email a month in advance. I received a response. After sending the details of all I wanted, I was told I would be given a quote. That quote never came. I called and emailed. Emailed and called. Left voicemails yet no response. It was quite disappointing.

Great team! Everyone was professional and very helpful throughout the process. We ordered a couples cake and 175 cupcakes for our wedding.We wanted special cupcake wrappers, not just the liners, which required some assembly, and they took that task on for us to relieve us of extra work and pressures of planning. I was at a party last weekend that had a cake from Icing on the Cake. The cake looked like an amateur decorated it. She was embarrassed to even have the cake displayed at the party. We added flowers to try to make it less awful. The cake taste good but the icing was crunchy and VERY sweet. Plus, when we went to pick it up at our given time, they did not have it ready. We had to go back an hour later to pick it up. Because it was so close to the party time, we couldnt ask them to fix it, as we didnt have time. There were no offers for a discount for being late. Poor customer service and poor quality. First impressions are everything...I will never use this bakery after what I saw.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. To say the quality of the work and flavor has gone down in the past few months is an understatement. The decorations went from something you would see on a cake show to something you see on Pinterest fails. I use to be a regular for 4 years until they changed staff and owners, and then suddenly the products coming from the bakery were awful. I tried the new owner and staff product and the Cake was dry and the icing was chunky. Didn’t taste anything like before. If you want to get ahold of these people, good luck! No one answers emails or phone calls so you have to waste your time going in. And don’t even plan on having a pick up time set, because they are so behind on everything that you will have to go back an hour later for them to be ready. My friend was a bride in July and her cupcakes and cake were awful. They didn’t do what was paid for and they delivered it hours late. If you want to have unhappy memories of your cake then this is the place to go!

Come on Icing on the Cake, your gluten free products used to be DELICIOUS! What happened?! Supposedly you have a gluten free expert baker, so why does your gluten free suck now? Last time, I purchased peanut butter cookies, a gluten free brownie and 2 gluten free cupcakes. I ate 1/2 of one of the cookies and threw them all away. They were dry and taste freezer burnt. The brownie was ok, but much smaller than Ive purchased in the past. The cupcakes were hard as a rock, so could not have been fresh. Such a shame that a once Colorado Springs gem, is no more. SMH...

I had a small custom designed cake for my gaming group. It turned out excellent and well within the price I expected, with a a decent turnaround time. Kudos!

Its hard to not walk out with one of everything. ABSOLUTELY incredible. Between their macaroons, cakes, bars, cupcakes etc...I just stood there for 20 minutes trying to decide what NOT to take home. Personal favorite so far: the raspberry bar.

The last bakery I will ever need!  There just arent the right words for their decorator, Chelsea.  She decorates all my cakes, and made the last one with white flowers that looked as if they were coming to life. She’s a star at her craft and a joy to work with. My entrustment and reliance of her innate ability to use her many talents, is so high in fact, I actually just told her to pick the design for my last order, and as always, she hit it out of the park, just look at these photos!  Bella, always greets me by name and with a smile. Mischa, the creator of this all, also Bella’s Mom, along with all the staff I have dealt with, are great on the phone, fast at answering your emails with your questions, ideas and pictures.  They are happy to help you make whatever you are ordering a perfect fit for whatever your occasion.  You will have what you want and love what you get! They make the fluffiest cakes, the most amazing raspberry filling and lemon bars to die for, a must try! They do have their special recipe buttercream, so best to try a cupcake for a taste, and if it’s not for you, they are happy to make the most creamy, smooth vanilla buttercream, that’s a sure hit with one and all. They are very reasonably priced and the cakes are packed with filling and decorated just as ordered.  At that first taste, you know its worth every penny and you’re hooked.  I’ve tried other bakeries in town and they just don’t come close to the cakes here.  To the whole team, thank you, you have a friend, as well as a customer, for life, whos smiling from ear to ear, albeit with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream all over her face.

They get three stars instead of one because the cakes they make do taste delicious. However if you are wanting a tiered wedding cake don’t get it here. First they showed up late to bring the cake then they threw it together as fast as they could. It had gaps in it where the layers didn’t match up they could have filled it in with frosting so it didn’t look like holes then it started to lean to the side the fondant started to fall off the cake a hour into the wedding so we had to move things around to get the cake cute fast. We also called to ask them if they wanted the cake stand to fit the cake on they said no we should have brought it anyway because the cardboard they brought it on went over our stand and it looked tacky. Needless to say they were unorganized late and the there cake decorating skills and this was a simple cake aren’t there. If you want a tasty kids birthday cake then this is your place. If you want a elegant wedding cake to be a centerpiece I wouldn’t go here! Hope this review helps out the next bride.

I have been coming to this bakery since it opened. I have enjoyed everything I have had...until now! I have tried different items and nothing is the same as when the original owner had it.Buttercream is nasty (too sweet), cinnamon rolls are very dry and no consistency in size. Same with the cupcakes, one time they are normal size, the next time they are TINY...not worth $2.50 each.So sad that the new owners of this once AMAZING bakery, dont have the same quality or standards as the previous owner. I have given them 4 chances. I wont be back.

How very disappointing! I order cupcakes for my daughters birthday and set up delivery several days in advance. Not only did they not deliver in the morning, as promised, but didnt return my call. I had to call them to deliver in the afternoon which you did not do that either. They are not picking up the phone either. Thanks for ruining a special moment I tried to create for my daughter.

Ordered a 1st Birthday cake for my granddaughter. Ive never gotten a cake that was such a disappointment as this one was. Sorry wont be back, Ive recommended this baker to many folks but this was such a disappointment. Trying to talk to the staff and they did not care and even lied about giving me two cup cakes when I picked up the cake, never got the cup cakes.

I have to be honest and say I did not have the greatest experience with this baker at the beginning. However, the mistakes made by this business were accurately addressed by the owner, and I really appreciated how they handled it. They vastly improved my experience by the time I actually got the cake on my wedding day. It looked and tasting absolutely amazing. I sincerely appreciate Mischa and the handling of everything in the end.

I had a really nice first experience here as a walk-in, just to see what the shop was like. I took a recommendation from the friendly cashier/chocolate artist with rainbow hair, and it was not disappointing. My husband and I totally enjoyed our key lime cheesecake, and then a cinnamon roll the next morning! Will be back soon.

I was looking to get a unicorn cupcake for my stepdaughter’s 3rd birthday a friend of my suggested Icing on the Cake. I called and asked if they had a unicorn like cupcake or if they could make one. I went in blindly with a vision but it was all over the phone so I was nervous. I went to pick it up today and it not only was what I had envisioned but better! Highly recommend! Not only was it high quality but it was a great price! I will be going back for all my cake needs!

We ordered chocolate and vanilla cupcakes as well as a red velvet cake for my sons first birthday party. Everything was amazing and they were able to decorate the cakes to match our theme perfectly! We will use this bakery for all our birthdays now!!

This business cant be trusted at all. They are not reliable in any manner.This is the second time they messed up our orders. We order even a week ahead they did not make it ready. The worst part of it is they dont answer the phone. Very disappointing 😡 I wish I could give them a 0 star.

We used Icing on the Cake for our October 2020 Wedding. We loved the cake they made for us! We chose a single tier carrot cake with no raisins and it was so delicious! They decorated it exactly how we wanted it and the cake was so moist. It fit with our rustic theme perfectly and we could not have asked for a better cake. It was delivered on time and in perfect condition. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be going again for more delicious cake! 10/10

To be honest I cant speak on the quality of the baked goods..this is simply a customer service review. They very well could have the best bakery in Colorado springs for all I know. 🤷 I was traveling to Colorado for my birthday. I checked out the website and decided I HAD to have my cake from here.. I read their ordering policy online and reached out 3 weeks before I needed the cake to place the order. Let me just say that whoever is handling the customer service is lacking needless to say. The communication was horrible. I got one response to my initial inquiry with a price quote and was told to come in and pay a deposit for the cake by a specific date. I let them know I was in Pittsburgh in the intial email. In my second response I stated how I could not come in and pay a deposit by the time they asked because I am not from the area And wouldnt be in town. I inquired about paying a deposit over the phone. No one ever bothered to reach out and respond to me. Never. I also decided to stop in once we made it to Colorado springs and give them the benefit of the doubt and try out some of their baked goods. Drove over a half an hour to get there only to find there was a sign on the door that they closed early that day and sorry for any inconvenience. Disappointing.

OMG, I am a lover of cupcake and I love these cupcake. We visited this shop based on prior reviews. We are visiting from Florida and always looking for home grown spots to try. We were not disappointed. We ordered a variety of cupcakes as well as two slices of cheesecake- key lime and pumpkin and both were delicious.As we were placing our order another customer was picking up a birthday cake for her daughter and her story behind the cake touched our hearts. The connections the associates had with the customer was heart warming and blessed our soul. Thank you for allowing us to experience such warmth and compassion.

Came in with my fiancé for a consultation a few days ago. The young lady Madison was very patient with us as we were very indecisive. Paid our deposit and left with a very delicious cheesecake and cinnamon roll. Definitely recommending to family and friends.

Great place, amazing people. Misha and her daughter (I apologize for not remembering her name correctly, but I dont want to butcher it) were both extremely polite and helpful through the entire birthday cake idea process. The cake turned out amazing, both in decoration and taste. The cake itself was moist, the flavors were just right, and my son and his friends loved it. I would recommend this business to any person (especially guys) who need honest cake services and have absolutely no idea how to ask. Their business location was also extremely clean, friendly, and nice. The wedding cake displays they had left a great impression of their abilities. I posted the cake I ordered (three seconds before children got their hands on some slices) for reference; it was huge, decent priced, and amazing.

Dropped off my son and his friends at the skatepark Last week when I passed by icing on the cake. Woke up with a sweet tooth so i stopped by today. Never been but the place is great. Alot of different flavors of cupcakes ready to buy. Bought 6 cupcakes for $15(all different flavors of my choice). Ate 3 so far and all have been delicious. Ill be back for the cinnamon roll which looked huge! 😁

I went in to get a cake for my wifes birthday. Ended up with a gorgeous cake, a dozen macarons, and a loaf of garlic parmesan bread. Go figure. If I wouldnt have forced myself to leave Id probably have purchased half the store.The cake was a chocolate with chocolate ganache and it was exquisite. Perfectly moist and firm with a plethora of delicious chocolate flavors that were surprisingly individual for working so well together. A chocolate lovers dream.The macarons are really interesting, with each flavor and filling completely unique to itself.The garlic bread will die tomorrow at sunset. Pasta night. As is tradition.Thank you IOTC. Keeping it real in a world of fakes is commendable. Keep up the good work.

Not happy. Seeing if they can fix this .... I asked for the cake on the left and they gave me a blob looking S on the right. *** I updated my review. They did indeed fix my cake! And honestly was some of the tastiest cake Ive ever had I ordered German chocolate with (I forget the filling) but she recommended it.... and it was a huge success everybody loved the taste. I also want to add that the cashier and the baker were very accommodating when I said I wasnt happy with my cake. They were very kind and felt like I was treated fairly.

Had had my grandsons Lego cake done and it was beautiful we really enjoyed it only issue we had was our own it didnt make it all the way to Colorado but we had a picture of it and the kids ate it anyway but it was very good and hopefully we can have our wedding cake done by them thanks from Lego Jay Marion

I stopped by on the way home from work the other day just to see if they had some cupcakes for for sale and they did. And they had macaroons, and they had cheesecake, and I was like a kid in the candy store! The prices are reasonable and everything tasted great! My evening commute is going to be dangerous from now on. Ill be back often.

Icing on the cake made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down for our consultation. We were on a tight budget and Misha gave us plenty of options that fit our needs. Being the picky couple we are, we asked for a custom sponge and they had it whipped up for us right away. We chose a champagne sponge with raspberry white chocolate filling and it was a hit!! The cake was divine and made exactly as I had designed it. On our wedding day, icing on the cake delivered our cake on time and it turned out beautifully! Thank you guys SO much.

They made a wolf themed cake for my wifes birthday, which was today. As I thought she would, she went crazy when she saw it. It was truly a work of art, beautifully designed and executed. But when we tasted it, we understood what true artistry went into this amazing creation. Four layers of incredibly moist chocolate cake filled with the most devinely lush chocolate ganache, and topped with a multi-colored, multi-layered luscious buttercream frosting. My wife and I agreed this was the most creative and delicious cake either of us had ever eaten. Incredible doesnt even begin to cover it. Superlatives fail me. This was truly a masterpiece. Thank you so very much for making my wifes birthday so very special. You have our highest recommendation and endorsement!

Me and my wife went in at the end of the day just checking the place out. Of course at the end of the day there wasnt much left. Unlike most places when you walk in at the last minute, these guys gave us a menu and offered to make us something from the back which was super cool of them. I enjoyed the cupcakes and so did my wife. Which is saying a lot, she is super picky with her cupcakes. This place is awesome.

I could not say enough good things about my wedding cake. It was beautifully decorated and it was delicious! The customer service was also amazing. I was planning my wedding from out-of-state and Mischa was very accommodating. I am so happy with my cake, it was exactly what I envisioned and was the best tasting cake Ive ever had!

Oh my goodness. They did the most amazing job for my grandsons 9th birthday. He wanted a Luigis Mansion cake. It was just a work of art. I didnt want to carve it. It was the talk of the party. The basket was fantastic. Its the only place Ill go.

By far the best, very quick, nice, and extremely affordable. One place quoted me $336 plus rush order, for a promotion cake. These guys did the same exact one, no rush order, done in 3 days for $100! It tastes very good and everyone loved it. This is my place for custom birthday cakes.

The vegan lemon cupcakes my mom got me for my birthday were AMAZING! The cake was delicious, and that frosting was so rich and smooth. Highly recommended

Best ever! Our wedding venue included the cake so all I had to do was show up for a cake tasting and decide what I wanted. Icing on the Cake made everything extremely easy! The cake was delicious (I heard several comments about how wonderful it was) and the design was exactly what I had chosen. I am so glad I used them!

We have purchased 3 or 4 cakes a year for the last two years. Each cake has been wonderful, so wonderful that we purchased an entire cake just to eat because they are soooo good. We recommend Icing on the Cake to everyone we know. They also have incredible French macarons and great cheesecake.

Ordered a Wedding cake for our recent wedding. It was awesome. Best cake Ive ever tasted. Strawberry, Almond, and marble with buttercream filling. Little heavy on the frosting but their buttercream frosting is to die for. It also probably had to be for the design we picked out. Im normally not a frosting guy but this frosting is really good. The cake was moist and delicious, all our guests loved it. Service was fantastic too! Early on my wife and I estimated our guests and ordered a cake that would feed a little in excess of our estimated amount of guests. A week before the wedding we realized our cake wouldnt feed the last 20 guests who RSVPd! Their staff was super helpful and changed our order with no issue. Delivered on time, no hiccups. These guys are good!

Ordered a 30th birthday cake from Icing on the Cake, white cake with raspberry preserves - it was absolutely amazing! Rich, full of flavor and so moist! I will absolutely be back!

Icing On The Cake is the best kept bakery treasure in Colorado Springs! My son & I ordered his daughters 5th birthday cake about 3 weeks before her birthday. Less than a week before she did a complete 180 on what she wanted. Mischa jumped on board with the change like it was nothing. The other cake had been planned out by my son & we were not prepared for little misss change of heart. We walked in & told Mischa that she now wanted a Trolls cake. Mischa stepped in & 10 minutes later we were out the door completely excited about what Mischa was going to do. It turned out beyond expectation! We were stunned by the GORGEOUS & cheery cake we picked up. Our granddaughters reaction was priceless! The cake was a HUGE hit at the party (35-40 people). The buttercream frosting was the best Ive ever had, the cake perfectly moist & delicious...just WOW! We will be long time customers! On a side note, we are regular consumers of the cookies, cupcakes & pastries...just as wonderful as our cake!

Icing on the cake did our wedding cake and it was amazing! Their very talented decorator, Chelsea, made our vision come to life! We chose a small tiered cake, cupcakes, and an additional grooms cake and she hit every single one spot on! Easily the best bakery in Colorado Springs.

Called in very, very, very last minute to see if they could make a smash cake for my baby’s first birthday. Requested a pumpkin cake. Was told they could. It was ready in less than 2 hours. Wasn’t expecting much, since I knew it was such last minute. But WOW! We loved it! Just what I wanted. Beautifully decorated, great taste, and awesome customer service. Will definitely be back. We ordered a 2 tiered Superman cake from this bakery and it was amazing!! This was the most delicious cake that we have ever tasted!! Lastly, the employees were so nice and so accommodating! I would definitely recommend this bakery!
