This was our first time the staff is beyond amazing and makes you feel like family! The food was delicious, very fresh and the coffee was amazing! We loved the different names on the menu ❤️ This is our new coffee spot!

To describe Kawa in a word, Id say perfect. The aesthetic is exactly what you would see in a movie about a hipster coffee shop, without the snobbiness. The baristas were extremely kind and quick. The coffee is delicious and very visually appealing. The food is amazing. Even if I wasnt getting coffee, Id still come here just for the turkey club. This place is really a gem and I have trouble thinking of one thing that Id change except to have one in the Denver area, which is closer to my home.

This is one of those Diamond in the rough. Dont let the walk up deceive you this is a legit coffee shop. They have a variety of drinks and best of all their home made syrups. They were super friendly and had my drink done in a flash. Dont just grab and go through, the inside is decorated perfectly to chill with your cup of Joe or with friends.

A lovely hidden gem!!The people are so friendly, the music is NOT loud or obnoxious, the coffee and food are good. The bathrooms are crazy clean and good-smelling. I love this place, and Im so glad I found it. Ill be coming back for sure.

Great place, good coffee, good food, great service, good little spot to chill or work for a while. Saw a lot of people get takeout aswell. I sat in the patio and enjoyed coffee and breakfast while getting some work done. It was a pleasant environment and truly great overall! Will definitely visit again. ♡

Coffee was great, atmosphere was awesome. Staff was friendly even while they were slammed. Wanted to get my review in next to David Green (the next review chronologically) because while I was there for the first time enjoying my coffee, I got to witness the whole thing. He was a total a-hole to the staff. Announced to the whole coffee shop that he was leaving a terrible review because he had to wait for an order... while they were slammed.... and the staff still thanked him for his business and feedback. This is the same guy that left a bad review on a Conoco gas station a month ago because their gas prices used to be cheap and these days the gas is not cheap. Dont listen to him. Check out Kawa.

It was very pleasantly surprising to find this little hole in the wall with a ton of charm. Food was very good and the drinks were excellent. I would absolutely recommend.

I drove all around in neighborhood it was probably in a parking lot, but it’s not there now.Thank you for responding that makes me realize that you are real and you didn’t go out of business I don’t know where you were located but it was not easy to find on Google. I love this place. It is cozy with amazing choices of teas and coffees. They bring your hot drinks and food right to the table.They continue to add breakfast choices and sandwiches to their array of baked goods.They also have added a community table to encourage people to connect.They are worth the effort to find them. Do so and stay awhile.

The sandwiches here are incredible! Obsessed with their cute logo too. Came for coffee & was able to get lunch menu items to go. Great wifi & plenty of space to work (even a counter height table, my fav).

Tasty but expensive for the amount of coffee given. Dutch Brothers has similar prices but with twice the amount of coffee plus ten times better than anything else Ive had east to west coast

Good coffee and food experience. Location is a bit out of the way, but the ownership has chosen to keep it that way, staying local to that area, and I very much respect that. Seating had a wide variety of options and I appreciate that as well. Food was local, fresh and prepared to order. Coffee was good but did not exceed expectations, however I plan to visit again and try it something different as this coffee shop for sure deserves a few different visits to get the full experience. Only downside was the large amount of grubhub/doordash delivery folks coming and going. Good for business but not for dine in customers.

Just waited in excess of 25 minutes for 4 items. Because I was picking up a grubhub order they figured they would wait until everyone was served. What they did not realize is this person orders from them regularly. I know because I deliver to her often. She knows they made me wait for her order and they even made her the wrong coffee. She use to order from them regular. Probably not now we will see.

Ive been here quite a few times now, and I can confidently say it is THE coffee shop to go to around here. I dont always get breakfast with my chai, but its really nice to have a some actual GOOD options without compromising my chai.

A very pleasant surprise.I was in the area for a drivers license test and had some time before my DMV appointment. I wandered the area, and considered stopping by the nearby 711 for a cheap drink. This was when the sign on the (lovely, shady) gazebo caught my eye: Kawa Coffee.With a bustling DMV parking lot on one side and a gorgeous neighborhood on the other, this coffe shop seemed to be a shining beacon, beckoning me forth. From the outside, it seems rather unassuming; a tasteful decal plastered on the storefront. Stepping in, the first thing that I noticed was the smell. A wonderful mix of dark roast, delightful syrups, and perhaps a pleasant hint of hardwood washed over me as I entered the café.I was greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. I noticed the plethora of indoor seating for those working from their devices, not to mention the gazebo seating outside. A range of music plays, from Led Zepplin to modern indie.A sign on their counter promoted todays special: an iced vietnamese inspired latte. Intrigued, I asked for a large (16 ounce) to-go. I sat outside and sipped on my light coffee, pleasantly surprised by its dancing notes of spice and sweetness.While I am no connoiseur of coffees, I can confidently say that that latte is the best cup of bean water I have ever had.Would I reccomend this café to a friend? Yes. An enemy? Also yes. I believe anyone who loves anything about coffee should make time for a trip to Kawa Coffee, whether alone or for a date.I paid $5.79 for my 16 ounce latte, a fair price. If you come, however, be sure to bring enough to tip plenty. I give Kawa Coffee 5/5 stars.

Coffee is great and you have a lot of choices. Gluten free pastries are also available. The best thing however is their wraps and sandwiches! I could eat this wrap (biting bandit 2) everyday!

Kawa coffee is the local spot for anyone who lives in Colorado Springs. I come here everyday and swear they have the best drinks. The staff is super nice and the vibes are immaculate. This is a must go to place.

Amazing coffee shop with a great food selection, large tea selection, and even a choice of what kind of espresso you’d like! But what really made me write this review was the genuine kindness I felt from the dark blonde barista with their hair up in a pony tail and baseball style shirt. My drink order was slightly different than my preference and she was SO understanding about remaking my drink. Upon delivering my new drink she sweetly said I shouldn’t feel bad about asking for want I want/shouldn’t worry if it’s going to hurt someone’s feelings.What a sage sweetheart! I hope the owner treats her really well. It’s not often you find someone who works good service with a genuine heart like that. I’ve been a barista before so I should know. And she seems really young but with a good head on her shoulders too!The atmosphere is also really nice. There is local art for sale, as well as a few different sitting areas. Oh and! They carry a local to colorado kombucha. I bought one for later and I’m very excited to try it. It seems they also make their own syrups.All in all, great experience. A hidden gem in an unassuming area.Edit: they are playing an Elliott smith song currently and I’m so in love with this coffee shop now it’s unbearable

Ive been here three times and have loved it every single time. Staff is always friendly, helpful, and takes the time for every customer. The drinks are excellent (and staff are more than willing to work with you to get the drink you want, like dairy free). Today was the first time I had a food item, and I got the Phoenix. It was delicious. Highly recommend Kawa to anyone!

Delightful! Truly a gem. Delicious food. Great outdoor seating options, especially if you have active kids with you. Dog friendly. And, most importantly, truly amazing coffee. The cappuccino reminded me of being in Italy and Austria. Go here.

My FAVORITE place for coffee here in the Springs!! Hands down. Good food, good service and awesome atmosphere. The shopping center is a bit rundown that its in but thats the only downside I see. They also sell amazing travel mugs among other oddities. 🤗

Tucked away in a derelict shopping center with the worlds worst DMV is this hidden gem of a coffee shop with a breakfast sandwich that is absolutely to die for. Lovely service and a cozy atmosphere to get some work done if thats your thing.

Great little hidden gem! They have a simple coffee menu, but they will customize your drink how you want it. Their Caffe Macchiato is traditional and nothing like your coffee chains. They have a great breakfast and lunch menu, and their scones are perfect.

I really had high hopes for this place based on reviews from others. My significant other and I ordered two burritos (1-sausage, 1-bacon), and two lattes (1-vanilla, 1-pumpkin) and well, all of it was awful. First, both of our burritos had zero flavor. I think were banking on the fact that they could put a heap of salsa in it but, the salsa was not good either. The bacon in his was either burnt to a crisp or not cooked at all, and the sausage I received in mine was basically the size of a meatball, and they tasted like they should have been on a pizza rather than in a breakfast burrito. The tortilla on both of ours were also VERY soggy so it was hard to eat. I think we both took 3 bites or less and threw it away. The coffee is better than the breakfast but not by much. We chose iced lattes, but we just got black coffee + the flavor we chose. Not sure what happened there but it did not taste very good either. Would not recommend this place to others.

I have ordered twice off of Doordash now and I am absolutely blown away! The volcano breakfast sandwich is literally the most amazing breakfast sandwich I have ever had! Their habanero cheddar bagel is the to die for. All the drinks Ive had are amazing too. I cant wait to go in and visit them to tell them how amazing they are.

Local favorite! This place is cozy and comfortable. It is always busy with a good diverse crowd of young and old. There are free books to read and a variety of board games. The coffee is delicious! There are spectacular pastries, I had a butterscotch pecan scone and it was Devine. They offer a lunch menu of sandwiches and wraps. A new item I had not seen before is a big portion of biscuits and gravy!!!@ yum!!!!

I loved my bacon lover without eggs, it was amazing! Though I dont like how they just pour chocolate into the mochas, it makes it too chocolatey!

Ordered pumpkin latte for me and peppermint latte for my wife off Doordash. We both took one sip and spit it out. I have no idea what happened between making it and it getting delivered but it tasted old/had a slight taste of some kind of cleaner in it.

Not only is kawa coffee a neat and tucked away little spot, but its a very kind and comfortable place. The baristas are kind and helpful, and absolutely willing to have a good moment of conversation while making your coffee. The selection is decent, with one of their specialty lattes being the Harry Potter, which is butterscotch, vanilla, and cinnamon. Its pretty good, not to mention the plethora of baked goods. Their scones are large and delicious. No one should regret any visit here~

Very good coffee, doesnt leave a bad taste in the mouth, taste homemade rather than factory made, and well baked and flavored coffee cake. Service was great and pretty nice, they even heat up the baked goods for you, whether its to go or not. Not bad prices either. Definitely better than Starbucks, thats for sure

I needed to got to the DMV and found this amazing establishment tucked away close by. I cannot praise this place enough: the cleanliness, the amazing customer service, their breakfast burritos that are the best i have had in the Springs thus far and the coffee that was boiling hot but I chugged anyway due to how delicious it was. Do yourself a favor and head there now, you will not be disappointed.

Good coffee and delicious home made pop tarts. Macchiato was perfect. Owners friendly, knowledgeable about the area full of local tips if you are from out of town. Its a cute set up with indoor/ outdoor seating and a walk up window service.

Some of the nicest people I know are baristas here! Amazing service and amazing coffee. Definitely recommend checking them out especially as they ramped up to-go orders, online ordering and shipping!

Best kept secret coffee spot in town. If youre reading this then go. You will not be dissapointed, I promise. Just go. Turn your phone off already and go. All the stuff you care about: quality, atmosphere, service, smell, whatever. Its all there. Sure the price is higher than a few of the others in town, but not by much. Just go already but please dont tell others. I dont want it to get overcrowded. : )

My wife and I really love this coffee shop. Weve been visiting other coffee shops in Colorado Springs and havent found any better ones. The coffee quality is great, the staff has always been very friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. There are tables and sofas to sit at, which makes for a relaxing place to work/study or hang out. Definitely recommend giving them a try.

Just came here for the first time. I had a decaf almond milk latte, which was surprisingly good. I also had a vegan variation of the Tree Hugger sandwich which was very good. The veggies were piled on pretty heavy which made it slightly messy, but that doesnt bother me. Finished off the visit with a strawberry smoothie, also very good and very sweet. The atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasant. Has a very local coffee shop feel to it.

This coffee shop is kind of hidden, but very cute and cozy inside. I got a latte and some kind of baked bar (which was very tasty). I wish that I had not added a flavor to the latte because it ended up being too sweet, but that was my fault. It was a good snack while I waited for the Dept. of Revenue to hurry up.

Quiche was not warm, top was over cooked and bottom crust was not cooked enough. Took about 25 min to be served.

I went for the house coffee and it was so good ! I also got a smoothie. It was good too . We got veggy breakfast sandwiches . But I would suggest not to put the cream cheese in a bagel sandwich . The stuffing inside the bagel was slipping around while we were trying to eat . Coffee cake was good.

Stumbled across this adorable business this morning when the DMV was closed for Veterans Day. Staff was amazing, friendly, professional. This is a great place if you are meeting a first date, job interview, friends. Very cozy. Decorated well, plenty of great seating. I will be back for sure. Hip and kind of trendy but still comfortable and welcoming. The quiche was in fact amazing. The Irish creme latte was perfect.

Came for coffee with a friend. The place is located in an odd place but worth seeking out. You can park in the front of the building and still walk right up but it’s hard to see. I had a latte and a scone and both were delicious. Very happy and relaxed atmosphere and a cozy place. Definitely recommend!

Great friendly service ... Nice atmosphere. I was new to this coffee shop. The only thing I could complain about is I ordered a cinnamon roll and it had about an inch of icing on it. Im not too much on icing. Should have had the oatmeal. I would go back to this place again. It is kind of hard to find though being new to the Springs.

Great variety of pour overs, drips and esspresso. the decaf with a blend of almond and coconut as a latte definitely one of the top blends. they also had yummy treats and the tree hugger Bagel in the vegetarian breakfast burrito were great too.

Great coffee and service in this cute neighborhood coffee shop. Quiet enough to study or have conversations with friends. It was a comfortable environment. They didnt freeze you out like some coffee places. Different size tables and some nice hang out space on the couches in the back.

The staff here is what makes Kawa special. A friend and I meet here regularly and when we vary from our usual schedule, the staff notices and comments pleasantly. Its pretty great. Their pig in a blanket is disturbingly delicious and they are great with special requests.

Was there a couple weekends ago. The sandwiches were all mayonnaise on a bagel but the coffee was pretty good. Their pet policy, however, is bogus, illegal, and dangerous for disabled service dog teams. Manager- or whoever answered the phone- refused to update the shop policy to fit legal health codes, and would rather tell actually disabled people to just never come back if they felt unsafe by the policy (and many of us do because our medical equipment has been attacked by friendly pets, as my last one was, and most of us dont have the tens of thousands of dollars to replace our service animals whenever that happens). Would have loved to continue giving this place my money but theyd rather hang up on me than learn about how they can better serve *all* their patrons without having to make any real sacrifices (and also better follow the law by maintaining proper/legislated food hygiene). Look forward to hearing back from the local health department regarding their re-education on the matter.

I was visiting from Texas and decided to try it out. Great service, very friendly and conversational. Latte and sandwich were both delicious. Nice atmosphere and Im excited to come here next time Im back in Colorado Springs!

This place has everything one could want in a coffee shop and more! Wonderful coffee choices.. I love the books and board games in the back and how they have fresh water and treats for dogs.. The amazing breakfast burritos and quiche are a nice touch also. It really takes the edge off of going to the dmv, and is possibly the reason its so crowded!
