This wonderful little shop stayed open just a little late for us while we stayed and picked out some chocolates, truffles, teas, and hot chocolates. Their store is magical, and so are the flavors of their various treats.

This place has forever changed the way we eat chocolate. Some of the best chocolate truffles with the best flavors. The hot chocolate is the best on the market. Nothing else gets bought in our house anymore . Been going for 3 years now and no plans on quiting anytime soon.

Got a variety of lovely chocolates to add to a charcuterie board. They were so unique and gorgeous, all flavors were really complex and amazing. Also tried some petit fours and macarons, they were lovely as well!

Very very good. Prices were a little high, but well worth it for how good everything was. The guy at the counter was really nice as well.

I usually go for dark chocolate, but the yuzu and passion fruit white chocolates are the best thing in the shop (and that’s saying something). I also love the Chuao Mango chocolate bar, a flavor of Chuao I can’t seem to find in the Bay Area.

The kids and I stopped here for a treat and the young lady helping us was absolutely fantastic. She explained everything in detail and made some great recommendations. Highly recommend for tasty treats and excellent service!

We were so excited to come visit to get macarons after our dinner. We bought 6 for almost $20 and they were STALE! Completely inedible. What a major letdown, especially for that price.

We came for the macarons and stayed for the people. My husband and I really enjoyed speaking with Travis- he was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had the raspberry macaron which was made in Belgium and the passion fruit double-sized macaron which was made in Phoenix. My husband and I both loved the raspberry macaron- we thought it was divine. I’m looking forward to trying the in-house macarons

Customer service was exceptional and the desserts were so good. You can tell he puts a lot of work into his desserts and it really shows. Will definitely be going back!

Amazingly friendly staff! Amazing variety of treats you wouldnt even think about but all are great choices. High quality chocolate. Most everything comes in small taster sizes so you dont have to break the bank in order to try new things. Something you are unsure of? Ask the helpful and knowledgeable staff. I definitely walked out of there having learned something new and my taste buds are very satisfied. Will be back!

I love this place, I loved it before I worked for them and Ive always been delighted by the variety or chocolates, the knowledge of the owners, and the novelty of fine French chocolate. Also all of their chocolate is fair Trade and ethically sourced. They have lots of vegan options too!

You MUST try their hot chocolate, it is amazing. Its that perfect hot chocolate you always dream of on cold snowy days! Their macarons are absolutely amazing as well. Their shells are moist and perfectly soft, and their flavors wont let you down. Their truffles are amazing as well. My husband and I bought a bunch of oackets of chocolate and hot chocolate mix to take home with us.

A must-visit in Colorado Springs! We stopped by today while exploring the area and were warmly welcomed by the owners, who told us about 90% of the chocolate and offerings are all handmade by them. Owners were very passionate about what they do and gave us lots of information about what was in the store that day to help us make a decision on what to get.I would honestly say there is probably something for everyone here. All sorts of chocolate, pastries, coffee, tea, and local art/gifts. Each one of our family members found a unique chocolate that called out to them. The truffle selection is awesome and there are seasonal items too!They offer military discount and were full of recommendations for what to see, do, and eat in town. There is also a rewards system you can sign up for to earn free treats or a discount on your next purchase. We look forward to racking up the points on future visits, because we will be back for sure.Highly recommend anyone that visits or lives in the area to stop by and see whats available.

We tried a little bit of everything-- french press, macarons, truffles, jellies, and one of each of their Anellabees products. Everything was delicious, but above all, we loved the people here. Cant wait to visit again!

Macarons were hollow with crumbly texture.. insides werent appetizing (passionfruit, raspberry) fudge tasted old, staff is nice and friendly.

Wonderful bakery, quality and presentation of deserts is unmatched…yesterday was my first time to visit this bakery, got a birthday cake, tartines, macarons, bread from a local bakery and some other items. Paintings and artifacts by local artist are displayed throughout the shop. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place for chocolates and to help a small business.

While visiting from Arkansas I stopped in on a whim. I met the owner and I could tell right away he was super passionate about what he does. I learned a lot about chocolate and ice cream in just a few minutes speaking with him and listening to him tell me how he approaches his craft and art. I left with a half pint of midnight chocolate ice cream. It taste like I’m eating cold fudge. None of that runny, quick melting stuff they put in the store-bought brands. This is the real deal old school ice cream. They make it without the fillers and artificial substances that holds most ice cream together. They Do with the old fashion way using egg and my goodness you can taste the difference. So much better! Will definitely stop back by on my next trip

Best chocolate in the springs!

This is the finest chocolate store in the area. The people who run this store are dedicated to the art of chocolate. Great way to get chocolate that is locally crafted. If you have any question about the process, history, or home chocolate crafts you wont be disappointed. Would recommend to my mom. Very tasty!

I love their chocolate. Their yuzu white chocolate tastes like actual yuzu which I love and appreciate. Its very difficult to find.an authentic yuzu flavor but they did a great job!!! Their chocolate is so addicting! Their milk chocolate is the best Ive ever had.

BE AWARE:I bought two desserts. They were the size of a eclair, and when I looked at my credit card I was charged $22 for two eclair size dessert and the price sign said $5. They didn’t give me a receipt and I didn’t realize the CRAZY price until I got home.EXTREMELY OVERPRICED

Cacao Chemistry is amazing! My family and I stopped by the downtown location on Sunday evening, and we bought a cup of drinking chocolate, hot chocolate, some truffles, and chocolate bark. Everything was delicious! Everything was welcoming and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the chocolate. The best chocolate I’ve ever had!

Cute little shop, and beautiful display of chocolates and candies. Their fudge is smooth and classic, and their chocolate was very well made. The chocoloate dipped orange peels are some of the best Ive ever had! Will absolutely be returning!

The owner was very friendly and inviting. Was great about explaining the menu and prices. He was also very nice and happy to let us know where some local attractions were to visit. I ordered the macaroons, a mocha chocolate tart, & the salted caramel bar. All were amazing with great flavor. If your looking for a great dessert after lunch or dinner, this is the place.

I have a peanut allergy and I can always trust their chocolate as allergy friendly.

It is definitely a cute shop but their store were out of a lot of items. They advertise many flavors of macarons but only has 2 flavors there. No eclairs or dark chocolate truffles. Kind of disappointing in that manner. But the staff was friendly. I would like to see a chocolate shop filled with beautiful treats and not have bare glass cabinets.

This place was welcoming, smart when it comes to hot chocolate, and overall excellent.The ambience in the store is comfortable with just the right tone of lighting that you expect when you walk into a chocolate store.The man on shift today was very knowledgeable about the products they sell and picked something that I absolutely loved when I told him surprise me after being offered a free sample.Of the three samples I had, they were both delicious. I think this place is more for people that like the rich chocolatey taste that comes with gourmet chocolate.Overall an excellent experience and I will shop there again (and probably from now on) for my hot chocolate mix needs at the very least.

Wishing their macarons were as good as their decor. They should stick to chocolate and art curation.

They have a pretty big selection which is nice. A bit overpriced I got 12 macarons for $30 but they werent that great, some were pretty crunchy/stale but they tasted ok.

The chocolate custard was so chocolatey, creamy, and delicious that I ate the whole cup in spite of being full of street tacos from dinner. The dark chocolate truffles made me forget the bumps and bruises I acquired just a couple hours earlier when I was bucked off a horse. Cacao Chemistrys chocolate is something pretty close to magical.

Im from out of town. It was recommended I go here. This place did not disappoint me! Im a bit of a chocoholic everything has a pasted expiration date and ingredients listed. They didnt have everything because they just opened back up from the pandemic. They have loose leaf tea as well and local art for sale. If I find myself in Colorado Ill definitely be coming back.

We were on our way to another ice cream shop when I decided to poke my head in mostly because my 11 yr old said, Mom, I bet the ice cream here will taste better.After a few minutes of speaking with the owner, I was walking out with a pint of chocolate gelato and three spoons. The owner was so passionate about the gelato making process that I was convinced this would be life changing experience for my taste buds. He even threw in some peppermint bark for topping.Life changing doesnt describe it. I am thankful to live in Winter Springs (in FL) and not Colorado Springs because I would frequent Cacao Chemistry weekly. I have never tasted such amazing depth in a chocolate gelato. I savored every bite with my girls. I look forward to our next visit to the Springs... it will be a tasty one!

My daughter and I were greeted by the owner immediately when we walked in. We got the run down of all the amazing confections in the store and had a very easy purchase process. The chocolates and macarons are AMAZING! SO worth it if you want to splurge and treat yourself. Cant wait to go back!

They are amazing here! I came in to check out macaroons while visiting a friend on vacation, but ended up getting some well priced tea. The owner said it would make about 10 cups, but that was a LIE, it made about a billion (for my taste at least). He also gave me a free truffle for my rewards points even though I was one short. Lemme tell ya, it sold me on the truffles, and I ended up buying more. Fast-forward to being home across the country, and I need more tea, and even with shipping, it is still a good price for me to not have to go through Amazon (and I can get some truffles for my spouse to try). They really know what they are doing, even with small details...if not for the distributor sticker on the back of the tea I wouldnt have thought about contacting them about it. They made a lifetime customer, and I look forward to every interaction with the company.

Just ordered a quarantine treat for my 3-year-old daughter and I, weve been home for 3 weeks and sick for the last 7 days. Everything was delivered just perfect! The ice cream is amazing, sweet and savory, and the candy is delish as well. They even threw a little sample in the bag for us. Ill definitely buy from them again, it was a nice little light in an otherwise stressful time. I totally recommend them.

Ive spent quite a bit ordering from Cacao Chemistry from Grubhub and Ive always enjoyed it. However when I actually visited the store for the first time the customer service was awful. The woman behind the counter did not greet me. After I had walked around for a few minutes she finally asked if I had been in before. I told her I hadnt. I stood in front of the display case for the truffles which was right in front of her for another couple of minutes and was ignored. I ended up leaving the shop without purchasing anything and probably wont be a custumer to this shop anymore. Absolutely awful custumer service.

Got some macarons, they were delicious! Man serving us was super kind and very welcoming! Absolute legend, 10/10 recommend! Definitely coming back! :)

What an amazing experience! Walked in there wanting to grab some chocolate for a going away party and the gentleman (believe he was the owner) instantly took charge and put together a smorgasbord of options that would play well in a party situation. Everything was a hit and were even conversation pieces, just as he explained it to be. Nothing missed the mark!! Super highly recommend.

Today was my first visit to Cacao Chemistry. If you haven’t stopped in yet, you need to get there ASAP! I purchased strawberry Macarons, an adorable chocolate Halloween treat in the shape of a kitty with a witch hat, cabernet caramel truffles, and some small packs of various baking chocolate. The Macarons are the best I’ve ever had since I’ve lived in Colorado, even better than anywhere up in Denver. They are flavored perfectly, not too sweet, not too chewy. So much better than literally every bakery in town selling them right now. Like the kind you want to get in Paris but you can’t any time soon because duh, Covid. I loved how organized and neat the shop was with various kinds of jewelry, art, painted tote bags, photography, paintings... Plus a terrific selection of other goodies and various beverages. The lady working in the shop was incredibly kind, informative, and super pleasant to talk to! I look forward to coming back in! Thank you for the terrific service, and especially for those amazing macarons!

This was a nice little surprise for our group. We were visiting from Louisiana, and decided to stop in after we ate dinner down the street. They were having a free chocolate sampling and the man doing it was so kind and passionate. All of the chocolates were absolutely delicious and creative as well (pop rocks and chipotle!). We were all super impressed and would for sure come back next time we are in town!

Great place to taste chocolate and get delicious treats made of high quality ingredients. They have copies among a few other tasty treats. The passion fruit chocolate is the best. There are some tables to sit and appreciate your treats as well as a cup of cocoa.

Savory decadent fine chocolates made here.My wife and I got several small packages so we got a good idea of the quality and variety. All are enjoyed. They put the effort forward here. The sales associate was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Actually she ass dressed bro professionally and that was well suited for the atmosphere and overall chocolate expectation.

I love dark chocolate and this place has quality chocolate. My husband wasnt into sweets until we came here. The price makes it more of a treat than an every day indulgence, but that just makes it special! The staff has been wonderful everytime we visited and their point system is the best!

After having a full dinner of shared appetizers down the street, I knew I needed to stop at this place for a small bite of dessert! Luckily, on Saturday evenings after 7p they offer a complimentary tasting of five of their chocolate barks. It was fun to taste them because they werent what I would normally go for. I was really there for the truffles. The Peanut Butter Banana was absolutely fantastic! My only complaint about this place is the small selection. But I guess it means they concentrate their efforts on make a few things really well. Good for them!Great service, too!

My wife and I were visiting from Denver and stopped by after a dinner out. While they were technically closed, Travis, the owner, was still there and opened up the shop. He was an awesome guy and we had a great time chatting with him while we sampled and bought some chocolates. The locally made chocolate alone is enough to make us come back (its fantastic - try the blueberry bark, toasted coconut bar, and whiskey cherry cordial), but I also love doing business with good people who are passionate about what they do!

I stopped by to support the owners, b/c they have big hearts for the community, so I didnt have anything particular in mind. Once I got there, wow! So many cool selections and combinations. The dark chocolate in sea salt is amazing, and Im saving the whiskey cherry cordial for a special occasion or breakdown in willpower, whichever comes first.
