A clean and quiet coffee bar selling fresh brews and a few baked goods at a fair price. We went on a weekday morning. The place had an airport travel vibe.
This is a hidden gem in Colorado Springs. It is part of a church and a little challenging to find, but worth the effort. Positive feelings and mood, quiet and tables well spaced out to accommodate meetings without having to worry about eaves dropping. I am excited to have been introduced to this hidden gem.
Chai latte here does not rank in my top three in Colorado Springs. Great environment, but my chai came out a little lukewarm.
Calm atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff, good coffee, not overrun with obnoxious hipsters. Everything youd want in a coffee shop.
Ive got to respect any shop that can make a great flat white consistently. While its not visible from the street (just from the hiking trail across the tracks!), its a quality place although it has funky hours. Ive put the menu, the pastry list as of that day, and the hours in the photos. The fireplace areas are particularly nice, but the natural lighting from the large south-facing windows is nothing to scoff at either. Beware, conditions may vary depending on what groups happen to be meeting at the same time, since its in the lower level of the Woodmen Valley Chapel worship center. Best access from the south and east lower entrances.
I had the Ethiopia when I visited a few months ago, and it was by far the best coffee I had during my entire trip to Colorado! Everything was super clean and there was plenty of space for seating. LOVED this place!
Great place to relax or study with some awesome coffee!
The service was awesome, the venue was clean and had lots of seating options pre-COVID. Most importantly, the espresso was on-point. The roasters do an excellent job. Wish they had longer hours or were open weekends.
The egg nog latte recommended to me is the best coffee Ive ever had.
The atmosphere here was wonderful! I went during the week around noon and it was very quiet and cozy. Perfect place to get some work done, reading, chat with friends, make phone calls, etc. It’s spread out and the music is soft background music. I’m not a coffee connoisseur so the latte was just fine for me! And the ham cheese croissant was light and fluffy. Goodbye Starbucks🤗 . Also, it’s not affiliated with the church in case that’s a concern for anyone.
Whats a big bonus of a church coffee shop? Super friendly prices! The staff is warm and friendly, the menu has enough options to be interesting without being overwhelming. Featuring local roasters also ranks well. Furniture and ambiance is a little sparse, but, hey, this is a multipurpose space. Definitely looking forward to visiting 1979 again soon.
I feel this place is underrated. Friendly staff and very good coffee! Warm fireplace..plus free drip coffee on weekends! Best coffee prices in town with the same level of quality. Location is a bit out of the way.
Great place, awesome coffee, service and atmosphere. I personally dont mind that they are attached to a church but I know quite a few folks that this makes them uncomfortable to try it. The other issue is finding the place, you have to drive around the church parking lot for a bit before you see it.
The quality of coffee is mediocre at best. It is dirt cheap at $1 a cup, but you get what you pay for. Decent atmosphere. Will probably come back once in a blue moon.
Great coffee, great prices, great people. Ive tried a few different coffees and theyre all consistently delicious. The prices are the best Ive seen anywhere in town. Every barista Ive interacted with has been friendly, knowledgeable and fast.
This re-opened space is very new and doesnt even have normalized hours as of this writing, so this cant be a very informed review. The space is great because it is quite ample. Several different kinds of seating options. There is space for a medium size groups of people as well. Oh, the coffee is good.
The atmosphere and people were awesome. There was somthing off with the coffee. I got a latte with an extra shot. It tasted almost sour. Maybe the milk was bad, I dont know. I got it to go, so I was already gone when I took my first sip. 3 stars because the people were cool, and the space was clean and neat.
Great hot chocolate, made with milk, not all watered down. Way less $$ than Starbucks; better atmosphere. Love it!
Every weekend, we get a cup from here before heading into service at Woodmen Valley Chapel. Yay for this place of worship we so love!
Delicious scone and Mocha.
Friendly service & quality coffee at great prices. Usually a quiet place to meet a friend or study .
Great space and delicious coffee. I love the atmosphere - very open and quiet with a nice setup.
Great selection of drinks at a great price. Everyone behind the counter is also very helpful and friendly.
Love this place! Great coffee but even better atmosphere. My new work place.
Nice quiet place to sit and meet. Friendly staff make folks feel welcome.
Walked in today at 2:40pm to grab a cup of coffee. There were customers in the establishment but no employees to be found. I waited for about 5 minutes and then left.
Tried to grab a quick coffee here on a saturday, the sign posted says they close at 8pm. we arrived at 7:30pm and the barista turned off the lights as she saw us walk toward her and told us they were closed as we walked up to the counter. i asked, “don’t you close at 8?” and she said, “no, we’re closed.” very rude and disappointing, will definitely not return. maybe we didn’t look “churchy” enough? again, disappointing.
Fun place to meet people and have a beverage
Great coffee shop with friendly and helpful staff as well as a great atmosphere, wife and I came here to read and work on emails etc, was a great choice, wish we could come back again!
Fantastic and reasonably priced!
Good coffee! Great people!
Warm and friendly atmosphere!
Not amazing OK I guess
Love it.
Hidden gem!
Place is on point.
