Great bookstore. Mostly second hand books in good condition. Some new releases up front. Very eclectic. Knowledgeable booksellers and wide inventory.

They were super friendly and helpful. By far the cutest bookshop Ive ever entered. They have so many unique, rare, and antique books. Great place to go if youre a collector.

I love used book stores and supporting small businesses, and this place has a solid collection. However they are far more expensive than most, many books here are $15-20 while most used book stores Ive been to are $5 are less. Nice place to visit but if you actually want to buy some books your money is far better spent elsewhere.

Amazing store with some absolutely beautiful books. I dont live in Colorado Springs, but Ill tell you one thing, if I did, I would make patronizing this bookstore a part of my weekly. What a lovely experience. Will visit again when I come back.

Tons of great options and very friendly staff! My friend found an out-of-print copy of a family heirloom book and I was very satisfied with a pristine collection of Shakespeare. Theres a great mix of unique titles and classics and it would have been easy to wander for hours.

Very friendly staff and great selection. Great place to browse casually. You can tell the folks here really love books and want you to enjoy them. Our son loved the model train they have in front too.

This is not a corporate chain cookie cutter with an overly expense coffee chain and employees who dont know the stock or authors. Hooked on Books is a real, honest-to-goodness independent, locally-owned bookstore, with polite knowledgeable staff, a pleasant atmosphere, and plenty of ink & paper hidden treasures. The stock is vast, encompassing (nearly) all interests, and well kept. If they dont have it they will help or have suggestions to find it.Highly recommended!

Unassuming from the outside, located in an old strip mall, this bookstore does not disappoint! Hundreds of thousands of books crammed floor to ceiling but incredibly well organized! They have brand new discounted books, used books, antique and rare books and cards and gifts scattered throughout the store. Its a maze of books! The staff is friendly and helpful and they can order anything for you! There is a reason its been around for over 30 years ! A hidden unique gem in a sea of boring chain stores.

Loving books is an all senses experience. One day, when the lights go out, you can still have your smell, feel, taste and sight, and additionally, hear those characters and story come to life. Hooked on Books is preserving the experience and fighting the good fight. For those who dont know, reading a book is entirely different from reading a book electronically. The complete satisfaction derived from holding that book in your hands may be unknown to some, but is cherished by others. Support local, support preservation, and go buy a book. Youll feel better, youll be hooked.

Nice stock, very helpful staff

I came in today because I needed a religious text that o couldnt find at the library. I found so much more at this quaint little book shop. I was instantly greeted by a young lady who promptly help me find the book I was looking for. Not only did she find that book she found several editions of it and texts that would help me understand different translations. The books were so unique that, the selection would not be possible at a normal book store or even the library (as I found out today).The bargains here are astounding. They allowed me to set aside a book I would like to buy, the binding was so beautiful I knew I had to have it! No way could I do that a corporate book shop.... They just want your money.If you come here to browse you will need to make sure you do t loose track of time. So much to see and a large selection of genres.

Came to the store as part of Art Aloud for National Poetry Month. They were friendly and hospitable. Had a great selection of books of all genres. Its an honor to have my art on your walls for the next month!

When you walk in, you are greeted by that book smell. Authors are easy to find. Service is friendly. Prices are reasonable and you can find some great bargains. I cant wait to go back.

This is an excellent bookstore. The interior is spacious, so wandering down the aisles isnt the cramped, disorganized affair that can sometimes happen in used bookstores. The selection is great, and it includes a large number of Easton Press books, which are beautiful and sturdy. The childrens section is excellent, as well. The owner is also friendly and knowledgeable. If youre looking for a book, or if youre just in the area, Id recommend stopping by.

Fairly new to the area and asked about local works that might help me learn more about the community and its history. Received excellent recommendations and purchased fine copies of Spragues Newport in the Rockies and Waters Pikes Peak. Greatly enjoyed reading both.

Went in to browse around and got a LOT of really great advice on what to do with the old books I inherited.

The downtown Hooked on Books is not as good as the original on Academy.This location is much more disorganized and always seems to look messy - like they are still moving in. Books are jammed in any kinds of space they can find, and it seems they don’t want to spend the time to make everything more organized and neat like their other store.Everything is thrown together and disorganized. Selection is lacking and never seems to change.One caveat - BEWARE they sell Barnes and Noble Leatherbound classics for more than they are at Barnes and Noble.

I walked in and dude asked how he could help. I asked for the Epic of Gilgamesh and he got up immediately and found the only copy in fiction he had. We browsed the amazing store, and by the time we got to the register, hed found a 2nd version of the EoG in Poetry. I bought both. Expertise and kindness in this place!

Great new location for an old local favorite! So great to have a locally owned bookstore downtown once again! Love the new look and open feel of this downtown location feels like a real downtown, upscale bookstore.

Love the books and never leave empty handed. Local books, older books and collectable. I use to shop at their other store but wanted to check this new one out. Though they have lots of books, it doesnt feel like the other store use to be. My husband remarked that he thinks the prices are higher. Maybe they are because I didnt spend as much as I have in the past. I would go back again.

Found some great books here. Some old and some new but everything I looked at was in good or better condition.

To be honest im not that impressed. I come in and nothing even looks that good. Their fantasy selection isnt even that good. They dont even have anything for young adults like my self. Not such a recommended store in my opinion

Welcoming, comfortable atmosphere, good location, broad selections of new & used/vintage books and mags, including maps, artwork, t-shirts, etc. Some prices are high but its generally because of rare/first editions and/or difficulty of obtainment.
