The service at C&D is amazing! I have been there twice for different issues, and they have done an amazing job both times at fixing the issue and doing it pretty quickly. They kept me updated on the state of my car, and, as someone who doesn’t know much about cars, they always explain things in a way that helps me understand what is going on. Samig in particular was extremely helpful and really nice!! 100/10 recommend C&D and I will definitely go back if my car has any other issues!

Ive been using C & D Auto Service for years. The location is convenient as they are close to the College Park Metro station so I can drop my car off and then head downtown to work.The staff is professional. Every time I bring my car in, Andrew checks me in. He listens to me describe the issue or service I want. He has never been rude or dismissive to me and hears me out. The service is fast. I drop my car off in the morning and sometimes I am still on my way into work when I get a call from Andrew letting me know the diagnosis and quote to fix the issue(s). Very often they are able to repair my car the same day though recently they have been slowed by the lack of available car parts. To Andrews credit, he warned me of this while checking me in to temper my expectations.I find C & D to be honest. I read any codes myself and do some research to get an idea what the issue Im bringing in might be and C & D have never given me a diagnosis that was totally out of line or an obvious attempt to try and sell me parts or services that I dont need. They have given me a heads up from time to time that a part may need to be replaced in the near future, but isnt needed now. The cost estimates are reasonable as well.Overall, this is just a good car repair shop. Its my go to place to have work done on my car. I dont have any problems recommending it if you need your car repaired.

I bought my first car back in June, and the alternator died the day after I bought it. I had my car towed to C & D as they were one of the best reviewed shops in the area.My car needed a state inspection (as I was only on a temporary registration), so I informed them that I needed the inspection done as well.The work performed on the alternator was very professional. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and let me know of any obstacles in their way. If that was how they treated the inspection, they would be given a full 5 stars, and I would be very happy.HOWEVER, they took notice that I was freaking out a bit (who wouldnt when their first car blows up?), and lied to me that my car wouldnt pass inspection because of the aftermarket suspension installed on the car. They quoted me $400 in labor to take out my suspension, inspect the car with a factory suspension, then put my suspension back into place.I did not accept this charge as I thought it was suspicious, and I was right! The State of Maryland inspection handbook has no mention of failing a car for aftermarket suspensions. There are only height restrictions (a car cant be raised or lowered too far).C & D has completely lost my trust.

After using C&D Autobody (The collision Center next door) I was in need of an oil change and they recommended me to speak to the guys next door at C&D Auto Service as they are right next to each other. Let me tell you after the oil change I have been using them for all of my maintenance needs. Starting from tires, oil changes, battery replacements and etc.. Awesome staff as Andrew is very helpful. It is nice to have a trusted mechanic while you are in school.

I contacted them via email first, then telephone, the appointment next day. Andrew was great and gave me estimates before my arrival. All good and by the end of the day I had my Van back. Great work, good price and super professional guys (upper and lower Ball Joint work done). Thank you guys. I will return to your shop whenever my Van needs it.

I have no pictures this time but almost a year to date I have returned with yet another vehicle for C&D to perform work on and once again I am happy with the customer service and work performed on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Some of the staff were nice but Definitely a place that wants to make a quick dollar. Extremely frustrated with my whole experience. Don’t know if it was lack of communication or just mechanics scamming as usual. I went in at 8am when it opened for a MD inspection for my BMW and a oil change. Andrew i believe said the car was great and would pass but the back windshield tint is too dark in the back. Cool, totally understandable. He said they needed to be removed in order to pass. I asked him how much to remove it and he said $160! Major scam. 4 different tinting companies quoted me that same day service from 30-80 to do the same exact job.I called back and told him to forget it i would handle it myself and come back when it corrected the same day. They continued with the oil change and tell me to leave my car and come back after lunch. That was at 9:15 and the inspection was already finished. All was needed was an oil change. Almost 2pm and no call. Had to call to find out it was already ready and it was! No one had reached out. Finally get my car and go to get my tints removed, the owner of the tint shop even questioned as to why it was not passing the inspection.Finally drive back for him to tell me i needed the 2 rear windows as well. Claimed he told me already and at this point I’m upset, and feel like i am being played with because i denied the $160 service offered. Maybe they thought it was funny seeing me go back and forth. I expressed my frustration and he hit me “well how much are you willing to pay” because he didn’t want me to “drive all the way over there” attempted to talk to his boss to try and work something out and the boss refused.Just Tints in silver Spring did my back windshield and rear window tints removals for $70 total. Took 15 minutes max! Can’t make this up! Drove back a 2nd time and at this point it’s 5:30. A whole 8-9 hour wasted. The the man didn’t even go outside the door to check The 2nd time around, told me it was in the system as a pass and handed me a paper and sent me on way. Probably won’t use again.

Although I showed up at 4:50 the owner was so kind and said he would repair the hole in my tire right away. Since Im from out of town I was very appreciative. His staff did a great job and I feel confident that I can drive to Virginia without any problems with that tire. They also put the donut tire back where it belonged and cleaned up the back of the car. They were truly amazing.I will definitely bring my car back to them for oil changes and other work because they are trustworthy. Thank you guys for everything.You saved the day!

I stopped in, in the middle of the day to have a hole in my tire plugged. The shop was clearly busy and Andrew said it would probably be around an hour wait but he’d try to get me out as fast as possible. FIVE MINUTES LATER, he handed me back my keys and said, “All done.” Awesome service. I’d take my car there for general work.

They are an honest shop. If theres a problem they will try everything to fix it. If they cant they will tell you. They are recommended by AAA.

Really great experience - had multiple issues with my vehicle, Andrew checked me in and gave updates along the way for a far better than expected price, considering the work done! Amazing Service done to my vehicle, Brakes and Calipers quoted for a wonderful price. I dont understand the reviews that are saying other shops can do it for cheaper. Of course anybody can do it for cheaper. I know when I a walk in through those doors I am paying for Quality parts that have a warranty, and Quality technicians to service and change what ever mechanical issue I am having. Of course if you are looking for cheap parts and shady work done other places can offer that. I have been coming here for years and never once have they failed me. Good job C&D Service. Some people may not like the pricing but some people are not looking for quality parts or quality service. It is a matter of preference.

This place is amazing! My car was in an accident and after they fixed it, you couldnt tell. The paint job was better than the original. I had a separate issue about a year later, and they fixed that as well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Service as I am a College student at Maryland. Anytime I need anything I am able to take it to C&D Service and they will take care of any mechanical needs I have at a reasonable price. My check engine light came on Tuesday. I called the dealership and the only opening they had was for the following Monday. I made an appointment. I thought about it. I was getting my second Covid shot on Saturday. I needed my car. I am a AAA member. I called AAA and asked for a AAA certified shop near me. They gave me C & D Auto Service. I called and they said bring it in the next day. No appointment needed. I took it in the next day. They were super busy. They worked it in. Read the codes. Told me needed to run diagnostic test. OKd that. Then they ordered parts. Waited on parts. But, they got it done. Same day. They wrote the computer codes as well on the bill. I would go there again. I cancelled the dealership appointment.

Highly highly recommend this autobody shop. Lynn Sergio Jason and team were absolutely amazing. My brand new car was damaged in a accident and C&D autobody repaired my car without a trace of any damage from the accident. There was significant damage on the rear panel and tire as well as my air bags deploying on the passenger side panel and steering wheel. All of this was repaired as good as new. With no signs of any damage. During the repair process because my car was new they had to coordinate with the foreign parts manufacturer in Germany for several of the parts. They had my car for nearly five months. Not to their own fault just due to autobody part creation & shipping delays. While the normal process was for me to communicate via my car insurance agent I talked directly to Lynn. Throughout the entire process Lynn and Sergio communicated with me every step of the way next steps, why delays were occurring, and what to expect next. They also let me know when my car left their property and was being worked on at one of their foreign car contract locations. Although the time waiting for my car to get repaired was much much longer than the two months I expected, Lynn and team at C&D Autobody made my experience a very pleasant one. I truly appreciated their open communication and availability throughout the entire process. They were always one call away if I had any questions regarding my car and the repair process. They worked efficiently given the circumstances and car part shipping delays & limitations they were faced with. The work done on my car was superb and like I stated earlier there is no trace of an accident occurring. Even when I picked my car up and noticed some minor minor minor issues with paneling Lynn ordered the pieces right away and once they arrived had her team resolve the issue. I truly appreciate the exceptional service and communication from C&D autobody throughout my car repair experience and will definitely recommend them as well as utilize their services in the future with my car(s). Got a flat from road debris on I95. Put on the donut and brought the tire to C&D.They had that thing plugged in under 30 minutes, $25 bucks. Easy peasy.Thanks fellas!

I went there to repair my brakes, but they quoted me at $550 to repair the front brakes and $560 to repair the rear ones (everything including calipers, rotors, and pads). I felt like this was a little high so I asked another mechanic and they quoted me $100 cheaper for the rear brakes and $50 cheaper for the front brakes for the same exact repair. All in all, I believe they try to overcharge people who they feel arent as knowledgeable about pricing for car repairs (such as women, college students), and I dont like that. I wont be returning unfortunately.

Went in because my check engine light went on. $800 later they fix my car including an oil change. Not 3 days later my car breaks down and a different shop informs me they didn’t seal the filter and oil was leaking into my engine. Poor job won’t be going back.

These folks are the absolute BEST !!! AAA towed my sons 12 year old vehicle here on a rainy Thursday at the end of the day. C&D Auto owner, Mr Webster, graciously received the tow. He assessed the problem and provided a rough estimate of cost and time to complete the repair. The axle needed to be replaced. He called me first thing the next morning to confirm the problem and the anticipated time of completion of the work. The work was done in a timely manner. The work was completed close to the original estimated cost. A short list of what would be needed in the future to maintain the vehicle was provided. Everyone was friendly and professional. The work was done quickly. They kept me updated on the work and the timeline. They were ready when we arrived to pick up the vehicle. Checking out was easy and quick. All around just a great experience. When my son and I left, we both agreed that going forward, this would be where we bring our vehicles for all of our service needs.

My son is a University Of Maryland Student. He was out of town for an extended period and we wanted to pick up his car. We asked friends to start it and check it out before we arrived. The car didnt start. I did some research on line and found C&D Auto repair. Reviews were good. We had car towed to C&D. I never met the folks at C&D but dealt with them over the phone. They were courteous, professional, helpful and diagnosed and repaired my sons car in less than 1 day. I could not have been more pleased with the exceptional service we received from C&D Auto Repair.

The service from the desk was good. Outside of a miscommunication when my vehicle would be completed. I had to take off work twice to go up to get a status. My car battery dies in possession of the shop and when i reached out to my insurance company they told me they had to build a case to have the 170 dollar replacement part reimbursed. My insurance graciously covered half the cost. My car looks good as far as the repairs. I just think that it would have been good customer service if they tool the liberty to accept the facts that my car died in their possession. The battery in the car was less than 2 years old.If I had to choose to go to another shop/...... eh I would :(

One of the best Repairs shop ! My car brooked down in college park went on Google search for Mechanic / repair shop near me First one listed was C&D Auto Service I made the call I was so comfortable Talking to Sam My car was brought to the shop by 3A upon arrival a mechanic was checking determining that I have lost my Drive belt I walked to the office they made a phone call to quote me a price included part and labor $75.00 I was so happy My car was sent right into a lefter a work was initiated then the part arrived . Mean while my 8 years daughter was treated like family. within a 15 min a mechanic come to the office to inform Sam the Job was completed ! Sam The owner personally went to inspect the work performed and he ordered To check all fluid they added anti-Freeze, without any extra charge !!!! I highly command the shop because of the professionalism & integrity .

About 10 years ago, my pretty new car was towed randomly to C&D when the fuel pump went out. It turned out that said pump was defective AND on national backorder and unavailable for 4-5 months. C&D went above and beyond to help find a used one (calling dozens of places) and have it shipped in and put in my car in about 4 days. Since then, theyve seen my two subsequent vehicles and helped with everything from installing parts to changing the oil or, most recently, fixing a tire. Given how close they are to the city, they are VERY reasonably priced, as well as helpful and straightforward. Working close by, Ive also referred coworkers to them and everyone has returned happy. Really cant say enough good things about C&D.

I heard a lot of great things about this place so i decided to give it a shot. i bought a headlight kit and needed it installed, took it here and without any hesitation they were able to do what needed to be done. everything was professional, customer service was excellent and the wait time was not long at all. even though i only asked for the headlight kit to be installed they went out of there way and cleaned and buffed the housing of the headlight, i was shocked and amazed. thank you everyone at C&D, i will definitely be coming back. i highly recommend this place!

I came to C&D because they were on the list of places I could go for a safety inspection. Andrew and his team provided quick, transparent, affordable, friendly, and communicative service. It turned out I also needed a new battery, and the price and turnaround was great. Andrew even directed me to the nearby lake to explore while I waited for the service.

The staff is very helpful, friendly, and professional. I’ve taken my Chevy HHR there twice. Once for a leaky fuel line, and the second time for major repairs to the front end (not body, but control arms, etc.) as well as new tires. They’ve called with an estimate prior to starting the job every time, and do their best to keep the cost within a reasonable amount. Besides those excellent qualities, they’re also one of the speediest shops I’ve ever had the pleasure of trusting my vehicle to. Both times they’ve had my vehicle back to me within a single business day.I cannot recommend this place enough. I plan to take my vehicle to them anytime it needs work. 100% 10/10 would recommend!

If you’re a WOMAN or have OUT OF TOWN plates on your car avoid this shop! I dealt with them remotely over the phone while having my son (a UMD student) drop the car off. They were knowledgeable in their assessment of what was wrong with my car but then proceeded to over quote on what the charges would be and the need for unnecessary parts. Basically I needed a tune up and they wanted to charge me double (almost triple).

I went to C&D to fix an alignment problem occurred due to an accident -- my steering was off. I told them to give me an estimate. The mechanic ran the alignment machine without trying to find the source of the problem. Apparently he was not informed of the accident even though I informed the front desk. The mechanic then got back, looked at the car, and easily found the source of the problem. I got an estimate. It was $690 -- way higher than my expectation. So, I wanted to take another opinion. Then C&D charged me $75 for the alignment, which was not necessary at all before giving the estimate. Moreover, they told me that I might need another alignment after the suggested fix and I have to pay for that too. It was totally unreasonable to me. They should not charge me for what they do unnecessarily. I finally fixed the issue at $270 from another shop. To be fair, I must say a good thing about C&D -- they gave me a quick appointment just after ~2 hours of calling.

Very nice group of guys here. They are honest and not overpriced. I have brought my vehicle back to them based on the level of service they have provided. They can do whatever work is necessary and they never try to push you into getting work done that isnt necessary.

As a young, female college student, I so often get taken advantage of at auto service centers. When I was towed by AAA to C&D I was instantly welcomed and treated not like a girl, or like a college student, but simply a customer.They sympathized with my situation and went to work diagnosing it immediately (my engine overheated and I was leaking coolant, but didnt know where from). After hearing that it was the water pump (an expensive fix) I was given a quote. He explained what happened under my hood and what needed to be done. Instinctively, I told him I was not sure I was ready to pay that money and I would need to leave my car on their lot overnight to figure it out. Expecting some resentment, I was instead met with understanding and patience. When I went home, I called every auto service in within a 10 mile radius, explained what was wrong with my car and asked for a quote. None beat the price I was given at C&D (and that was even before they knocked down the price for me).When I called them to tell them to go through with the service, they fixed it in a timely manner and I picked it up the next day. The staff is friendly, the work is great and the price is fair. I would recommend C&D over and over again.

I initially was a very happy customer. I took my car here a handful of times to get my brakes checked, oil changed, and other things. The prices were fair and the work was done well and completed quickly. However, Im not sure they do the best job. I went in for my annual check-up of my car since it is an older car. They finished the job and I went on my way. Less than a month later my muffler falls off after it has rusted through. It seems to me that they were not doing the best work, but simply doing the minimum work required to finish the job. A great auto shop wouldve noticed the rust and notified me that the muffler needed to be repaired. C&D was a nice group of guys, but I think there are probably better auto shops out there.

I have never serviced my car at your location, but per my original comment, you have serviced my girlfriends car multiple times and unfortunately have not provided quality customer service. Im surprised that, as owner of C & D Auto Service, you would take the time to question the authenticity of my post rather than speak to the particular challenges my girlfriend experienced at your shop. However, I shouldnt be surprised by your lack of customer service online based on my girlfriends real-life experience at your shop. All individuals who are considering C & D Auto Service, please see my girlfriends experience below and the comment made by the owner of C & D Auto Service on my original post.Avoid this place at all costs. This place has ripped my girlfriend off on multiple occasions. Willing to give them one last chance (due to convenience), my girlfriend dropped her car off for service at C&D Auto Service when she needed work on her front suspension. We had taken the car to two separate auto body shops who confirmed the issue was on the front. C&D did their own analysis, told her she was wrong and did some minor work with the rear sway bar. They charged her $500 for this, but when we picked the car up the issue was clearly not resolved. The car sounded unsafe to drive, and it baffles me that so called mechanics thought it was ok to return it in that state and charge $500 for this.When we called C&D Auto Service for a resolution, they apologized and finally admitted that the front strut needed to be replaced and would charge my girlfriend an additional $800 for the repair. We told them that the first time, but they were too incompetent to find it, even when we gave them the answer. We decided to pick up the car and take it elsewhere. The nail in the coffin was when we picked it up, it wouldnt even start. Having ZERO previous issues with the battery, they had to jump the car for us to take it home. They killed the battery and my girlfriend was stuck with a dead battery multiple times thereafter until we were able to jump it and buy a new one. Of course, C&D said we couldnt prove it was their doing, and they refused to help. At this point, shes down $700 and weeks of wasted time without fixing the issue she brought it in for.Its disheartening to see how hard it is to find a mechanic you can trust. Customer service is horrible and I would not recommend to anybody in the DMV with a car in need of auto service.

Got a quote for a $470 from Meineke, called C&D and they quoted me $249. Came in the very same day and found out it was for the wrong part & they still honored the initial quote they gave me! I’m definitely sticking with these guys!

Went for wheel bearing replacement for my Honda Accord 2001. Though the problem was fixed within the time frame provided, the repair was too expensive.It costed me $630, when the car itself costs $1000 ! This was a surprise. Moreover, an itemized bill was not not provided.Good service but be careful.

Great service, Honest Mechanics

I normally do not leave reviews but I had such a great experience with C&D Auto I felt inclined to do this. First let me say that it is a parental nightmare to have something happen to your childs car and be hours away. From beginning to end the staff at C&D were great. Andy was incredibly professional and kept me informed every step of the way. I truly believe they cared about my daughters safety and the safety of the vehicle. I am truly thankful and will definitely recommend this garage to everyone.

Was able to drop my car off on the same day and they repaired it by the next day.

Super sweet staff and Sam, the owner, was also very nice. They were very professional and Sam even gave me a discount for going there for my first time. I felt very welcome and I was in and out very quickly. Definitely recommend them!

Ended up here out of convenience and their high yelp reviews, and they didnt let me down. Managed to turn around the repair in two days (including getting the parts), and not only beat the dealer price, but matched another repair shops as well. Highly recommended.

Great place to get car service. Been going to C & D for years. Nice people, friendly, takes time to explain things, before and after the job. I just went there for a small body fix and they didnt charge me.

I wouldn’t trust this company with an inspection. Just seems like they’re trying to make a quick buck off of anything they can find wrong with your car.

Decided to try this place based on the decent reviews posted. After my own experience, I absolutely would not recommend this place at all. I wish I had paid closer attention to the critical reviews before going here, but you live and you learn. :-/

If you ever get stuck in college park, C&D a family run type place that has always taken care of me never overcharged, always kept me updated on every step before they charged, and even walked me into the shop to show me how to check things or explain the problem. They are phenomenal, and can do just about anything you might need. I drive a temperamental Mercedes, and usually Im upcharged just because they are a pain to work with but C&D always give me a fair rate and have never been anything less then fair and thorough and patient and understanding and kind.

The service I recieved from here was beyond excellent!!! I am a female and from my experience some mechanics will overcharge or try to rip me off... The prices are the best and Sam is great! They will work with you... Im referring all my family and friends here from now on.

C&D Auto does excellent work. I took my car here after having problems with my brakes. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and fixed it within a day. Customer service is great--they are very friendly and always available to answer questions. I would definitely recommend C&D to a friend.

Quite possibly the best auto shop experience Ive ever had. Every time Ive taken my car here it has been well taken care of. Ill be coming back to this auto shop as long as Im in the area.

Great shop. Very professional. One of the belts in my engine was making a squeaky noise so I took it into the C & D shop and they took a look at it right away for me. The manager, Andrew Webster, was the guy I was talking to. I was only sitting there for about 20 minutes while they worked on it. They ended up fixing the problem for me and even ended up doing the work for me free of charge as this was my first time going into the shop. That was a nice surprise! I will definitely be going back for my future car repairs and highly recommend the shop.

I emailed them through their website with a date and time for service and never heard back from them. Whats the point of having a web site and email if the company doesnt actually use it?

I finally found a place where I can take my car and truck for service!! My daughter recommended C&D Service Center to me to have them service my car after she had her car fixed. Then I recommended my co-worker and another friend. They are about their business, family owned, professional, the prices are fair and the wait time is cut in half if not more!! This is my new home for car/truck repair service.

This past summer, my cars lights were flashing uncontrollably, even when the car was off. C&D spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, and in the mean time even lent me a car to use for an entire week while mine was in the shop. They are very honest people and know what theyre doing, and very fair prices! Even after all the work they put into it, they didnt charge me for their time and efforts, and only charged me for the work they did. Highly recommended for college students in the area if you want quick and honest service! ideally located right near the cp metro.

C&D Auto Shop they do excellent job. I been coming here for almost 4 years now, and i always recommended to all my friends. The owner and the workers are great and they all friendly. I never go to any places except the C&D, because i trusted them

I have utilized C & D Service Center for a wide range of auto repairs and auto make required periodic service. Very satisfied each time. Also, the service writer keeps a complete record of what has been done. I am extremely satisfied knowing that once the work is done, I dont have to worry about it.
