My experiences at Fitzgerald Subaru are always very pleasant. I try to arrive early or on time and my car is always taken in for service rapidly. The waiting area is very nice, always clean and has comfortable seating. Also, there is room for distancing, as we still should be during this Pandemic. The service department representatives are all very friendly and accommodating. And occasionally, if he is not with clients, I get to see Rudi, my favorite person in sales. : )

He was not pushing me to buy on the spot nor did he seem impatient or frustrated when I said I was going to look at other cars at other dealers. Alex C. at Fitz Subaru went above and beyond to ensure my experience, purchasing my vehicle, was easy and painless. I bought a used truck labeled as a handyman special. It included the Carfax report with all service records. Its expected when buying a used vehicle that repairs will be needed at anytime after purchase. I had a fuse that was blown, and Alex took care of it for me with no hassle. It can be a gamble purchasing a used car whether it is from a private party or even a dealer, but with Alexs assistance, I walked out a winner! If your looking for a car, give Alex a call or visit.
I was very pleased with the service I received from Subaru at Lakeforest. My service manager was Mike U. He explained things clearly and patiently. No repair was needed to my battery and their was no cost to the visit!!! This amazed me. The complementary carwash was a great bonus.
I had transmission problems with my 2015 Subaru Forester. Usually dealers are expensive, and busy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my warranty was extended and I was completely covered. I ended up paying $0, yes, zero. Remanufactured transmission alignment adjustment all included. They also did a complete check found a brake light out and to service recalls that I had missed. Free struts shocks on the rear and a brake light switch all included for free. The service was amazing. Would recommend this to anybody without reservations! Professional courteous clean and very reasonable for a dealer. I was quite surprised, and pleasantly so! Five stars indeed!

We purchased a 2021 Crosstrek from Fitzgerald Countryside Subaru. We chose this dealership because friends and family recommended them. We were not disappointed. The whole process was actually fun. We never could have imagined saying that about buying a car from a dealership. By far the biggest factor was our salesperson, Rudin Peqini. He was knowledgeable about each of the models we were considering, patient when we had trouble making up our minds, and never pressured us in any way. On one test drive, he even let us drive to our house and see if the car fit in our garage. Luckily we live close to the dealership, but regardless, it was a kind gesture. The whole team at Fitzgerald was professional and helpful through the entire buying process. We highly recommend purchasing your next car from Fitzgerald Countryside Subaru.
Like most I try to avoid the entire buy/lease car experience. We custom ordered/leased a vehicle 3 years ago. (That experience was great) With the lease coming to an end; do I buy out, move on or upgrade? First intention, buy out. So, I got a loaner so they could do the final inspection for me to do the buyout. Loaner had these safety features my other vehicle did not (now I’m second guessing my buyout).....Sara took extra time to help me through this process and decision. In the end, new lease! Process was easy, relaxed and supportive. Sara was a great asset. She answered my questions, took time with options and got me up to speed on the technology . She gives a great demonstration, super important if you’re someone like me who just goes with the flow and doesn’t want to read the user manual. Also, Brandon in service was great, I’ve had 2 experiences with him. Attentive, efficient and just good service overall during the service process. If you’re still worried about Covid protocols, facility was clean, every employee wore masks and waiting area allowed for social distancing if you needed to wait for service.

I bought my car from Fitzgerald in 2012. The seal included lifetime oil changes...so I go every 3,000 miles. I have been dealing with Cindy the service manager almost all of those years. Cindy is honest and always explains what needs to be done to keep my car in tip top shape. I wouldnt go anywhere else. When its time for a new car I will probably go back to Fitzgerald...but its years away... My car only has 70,000 miles and still runs great.

Went in for a required software update. Should have been a quick simple update. Sat around for an hour, was told they had to redownload their copy of the software before they could update the Outback. Was given a loaner while we waited, then were called and told they flash drive was not working. Picked up my car and was told theyd call Monday to rescheduled. No follow up from the dealer.South Tampa Subaru was able to update the car and have me on the road in minutes...and I didnt even need an appointment.

I was hoping to buy a new Outback without a salesperson breathing down my neck and I got what I wanted. Was completely ignored in the showroom and once I spoke up the first question I was asked was which USED car I was interested in. For a place that says they don’t pay commission, I sure was judged like they do. Worth the extra 20 min drive to Tampa Subaru for better service and a NEW Subaru.
Maintenance and repair.Told a Tampa based Subaru dealer service advisor the car was missing with symptoms feeling like rough shifting or cylinder miss at speed and he said that’s normal. Well that didn’t go over very well, as I used to do my own car repair. so I came to Fitzgerald.Tech found coil on one cylinder not working during certain conditions. It took them about four hours to find it as it only acted up when warm, but despite the extra time spent (beyond what was quoted), he did find the issue and it’s resolved with no extra cost. I appreciate a tech who can analyze a problem that’s probably not in any manual. I hope they treat their mechanics well.Also did some standard maintenance which I later inspected when I got home and looked good.
Originally I was displeased when I 1st walked in, no one seem 2 notice me. Then after waiting 4 someone 2 be free I was got Jeremy, who thou he didnt end up doing my whole transaction went out of his way 4 us! I had already been 2 a great deal of dealers, my boyfriend & I really dont have any credit 2 speak of! Other places wanted way 2 much money 4 for nothing, but Jeremy & his team after fighting w the bank 4 awhile got us a decent SUV 2017 w very little miles. Yes it was still more than we wanted 2 pay (thou not near as much as the other guys)! We also got a 1 yr warranty & gap ins w it as well, so even thou our interest rate is high now if we make our pmts on time 4 the next 6 mths we can refinance & get them lowered cause our credit will be better by then! So they started off iffy but in the end Im glad I went there & Jeremy is a really nice guy to work with!
Recently I had the pleasure of getting my 5th vehicle from Fitzgerald Countryside. Every transaction has been exactly as Mr. Fitzgeralds ads states. Besides a great product the entire staff is wonderful. Everyone is professional and very welcoming. I can not say enough about everyone but I must mention my salesperson Alex. Enjoyed all of the time he spent making sure that I left with the car I would love. Last but far from least Corinna. Discussing the financing part usually not pleasant but this wonderful lady is absolutely the best. If you are looking for a vehicle and a great support staff please look these folks up.

I have Fitz care that I purchased with vehicle. I came in for an oil change and after 1 1/2 hours was told they didnt have the oil filter and were not sure when it would be here so we rescheduled for a few days later. On the second visit it has been another 1 3/4 hours and told they couldnt find a drain plug washer. Truly horrible experience, not really sure why an oil change and inspection should take so long. Still wondering what they did the first time.
I first came to Fitzgerald Subaru a few months ago wanting to get a look at different subaru options but not ready to buy yet. Sara noticed my father and I looking and helped us, never tried to push anything just unlocked various vehicles so we could see the interiors and got her contact info and a booklet for the vehicle we thought we liked most. Over the course of a few months we had some emails and phone calls back and forth, and then scheduled to do a test drive. Again, the interaction was great and Sara was informative and personable but never trying to push anything. Finally I decided on what I wanted, a Forester Touring with a green exterior and a brown leather interior and boy did I decide on time. Sara ended up ordering it to be driven to Fitzgerald for me qs by this point Subaru had cut off ordering any new cars for 2021 and what I wanted wasnt on the lot anymore. We went through what paperwork we could then and there, and the whole paperwork process was definitely the smoothest Ive had. The next day when the vehicle had arrived and I could finish my purchase the team was great- I didnt catch everyones names but we were finishing paperwork and everything past closing time on a Saturday, so big thank you to the people who stayed to get that done for me. After all the paperwork/financing was officially done Sara took me out to my new car and explained everything from the key fob to the seats to all the electronic gadgets and safety features of my new car, and made sure to get a user profile set up in the car for me. I highly recommend Sara, she was a pleasure to work with and I love my new Subaru
Recall on ignition part. Scheduling the appointment for repair was not efficient at all; was told that only one person was working at desk and was bounced around from one person to another and back again. T When I did book appointment was told the repair would take from 1-2 hours. I have been waiting 2:15 minutes and still not done. Repair or inspection took 2:45 minutes.Will not use this dealership for repairs again.

I purchased a used 2015 Subaru Forester XT from Fitzgerald Countryside Auto Mall on 4/29. There was a major mechanical issue with the vehicle. When I started the vehicle from cold, there was an engine misfire (P0300 code) and the car had a check engine light.On 5/4 I went to Fitzgerald Countryside to talk with Corinna Baker about this problem and she was unfortunately not present. We were fortunately able to connect with her over the phone. However, Corinna refused to let me return the vehicle, citing that I was outside the 5 day Used Vehicle Return Policy Agreement. Her claim was that I had come in the morning of the 29th to pick up the vehicle and that I was now here in the afternoon of the 4th trying to return it, missing the opportunity by several hours. Unfortunately, her claim is simply not factual. I specifically arranged an appointment with my salesperson to pick up the vehicle in the early evening on the 29th. That is when I picked it up. Consequently, this attempted vehicle return was still very much inside of the agreed-upon contract.For more context into my visit to Fitzgerald Countryside on 5/4, Corinna additionally told me that this was an as-is deal and that I would be paying for this repair out of pocket. This is not what we originally agreed to, as I have signed a 45-Day Certified Used Vehicle Warranty. The warranty was also mutually agreed upon between Corinna and me on the day of the sale.Corinna was extremely difficult to do business with. During our original negotiation she was very in-my-face, condescending, and accusatory. I had to ask her not to speak to me in such a manner and I even had an employee at Fitzgerald Countryside apologize to me for the way that she spoke to me.Between Corinnas refusal to consider an under-agreement vehicle return, comments that I would be paying for repairs that are covered under our under-agreement warranty, and her general unprofessionalism, I would not recommend that anybody purchase a vehicle from this dealership. This was the car that I wanted to own. If Corinna had been more understanding of my situation and had not been quite so unprincipled, I would have kept the vehicle.I was able to return it after visiting the dealership and sending email to her manager. On the day that I returned the vehicle, they kept me waiting around for unknown reasons for several hours. Corinna refused to speak with me that day.edit:In response to the comment left by the dealer, I want to clarify that the primary reason for this review was to warn other customers of Corinnas predatory practices, not that they didnt accept return of the vehicle. This was a very difficult process and I suggest that others look elsewhere.

Service website has drastically changed where I can no longer schedule my service & request a loaner car. When I could not do this on online I took my chance as a walk-in for an oil change. No loaner cars & told no guarantee they could fit me in. When I purchased my Subaru I paid for a service package with loaner cars & now I cant use the package I paid for??? You lost me as a customer. So sad.
Service center is not great. Very expensive, and quality of the workmanship is extremely shoddy. Avoid if at all possible. Thankfully Tampa Bay has many other options.

THEY ARE SHADY!! I paid for a warranty from them that I was told would work at any Subaru dealership. When I tried to use it at the Subaru dealership where I live (in a different state), it couldn’t be found. Cant find any documents stating what was included in it either in the paperwork they gave me. I’ve been trying for almost 2 weeks to get in touch with them, but have not received a call back from anyone. I’ll be contacting corporate tomorrow.
I drive all the way up from St Petersburg to get work done on my Subaru, driving past another Subaru dealer on the way. Why? Because they are GREAT - consistently! Lisa is my usual rep in the service department and she is a 10 / 10 every time!

I purchased a new Subaru Ascent and love it! My first Subaru. I had not been satisfied with my old car and was in the “just looking” phase. Adrian, my customer service representative made the difference. Ordinarily I would have used the term salesman to describe a coercing trying to sell me a car, but Adrian’s demeanor, knowledge of the product and patience to let me absorb the information made the difference. I did not feel rushed and ultimately purchased the vehicle on the spot when I really had no intention of doing so. The entire Fitzgerald team that I encountered were very much customer oriented. I appreciate that kind of service. It is evident this company values its customers. Highly recommend.

I had a great leasing experience, however, it seems the payoff on the vehicle i traded in a month ago, was rejected by Chase Auto Finance! The payment was returned ( i.e. perhaps insufficient funds???). I received a letter from Chase notifying me it was MY responsibility. I havent had the car for a month! I have reached out to everyone i worked with. Voice mail doesnt seem to be working!! I reached out to finance, no reply. I NOW must go to the dealership to get their attention!!!! VERY disappointing.So i had to go to the dealership. They figured out the problem and got back to me. It appears to be a lapse on the part of the finance/banking team. Its 100% resolved. I only wish someone called me back and saved me a trip.
Such bad sales service. Jeremy gave me a quote for a lease. I arranged to come and purchase. I especially took off work. He texted me and says those numbers no longer apply. This dealership is the worst. I’ve dealt with them before. The worst communication and customer service. I emailed the manager! No response. I asked for the manager to call me. No response. Honest, transparent car sales. Car prices are posted and thats what you pay, no negotiations and prices are competitive. I did price comparisons to confirm.
Service department has some good people and some people I would not trust. My parents go there, but they might not anymore. Long story, but basically they tried to convince me to do a $2000 repair and later, luckily, a different mechanic who works there came on the scene and informed me of the existence of a $0 workaround (disabling AWD rather than replacing a major component). Then, the first mechanic tried to scare me that I was making a big mistake and the car was worthless without the repair. Have driven 1000s of miles since then with no problem.
One of the biggest reasons NOT to buy a Subaru is it’s a pain in the a$$ to get serviced. The boxer engine requires extra special attention to oil change timing and filters. There are so few service centers for Subaru they refuse to provide service unless you make an appointment. I have never been turned away for an urgent recall and and oil change from anywhere other than Fitzgerelds. I cant wait for my next car its gotta be better than the way I got treated today and less sensitive.

After a below average review from my purchase there 4 years ago, I returned 3 months ago and purchased another car... a 2018 Outback, and I believe a received a fair deal, on a very good car. Got up-charged a bit on my financing, but that’s what they do / not a big thing.The one complaint I have is that when I took my outback in for service... they wouldn’t put me in a rental car because my wife and I had our puppy with us ??? I really believed Subaru would give me a dog bone, not send me back home to drop my dog off…. In doing that, I’ll take all future service to New Port Richie (where Riley DID get a dog bone). and my wife and I (and Riley) were treated like valuable customers. What’s up with that ???
Service department is the worst. To check in, there was long wait in small office with no chairs. They said fix would be 90 minutes and arranged Uber to nearby Mall. Afterward, they completely forgot about me. My car sat for 4 hours and no one could be reached by phone. Had to call a friend for ride back. Turns out they did not have the part so my car just sat and nothing was ever done to it, but they never bothered to call me! I went full on Karen and worked through several managers to finally get to GM. Every single manager was condescending and no one knew what was happening in other departments. I love my Subaru but service like this would dissuade me from buying another.

After putting it off for months, I recently took my Subaru to Fitzgerald Subaru in Clearwater to have both the recalled airbag inflater and a lamp switch replaced. There were no unnecessary questions asked, no pressure for extra services, a 24-point inspection, car wash, and amazing service - at no cost.It was the best experience that I have ever had at a car dealership.
This review is for the service department: I feel they are very honest, and they actually care. I feel welcome and don’t feel they’re out to take advantage of me. I feel their prices are fair and while labor costs are high they’re not really going to be any cheaper in the area and remember that you’re getting what you pay for.I say this being a repeat customer now, and I have been to two other Subaru service departments in the area and did not get great customer service: I would recommend this place first.Thanks for great customer service

You could technically get better deals at other places though with a little back and forth dealing. Lot is small, so not a lot of inventory .If you are looking for a great little suv, Subaru’s are awesome. I never thought about them until a family member recommended them, now I own one.

This was my first experience of any kind with a Hyundai Dealership. My salesman Curt Parsons was very friendly and helpful. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. After all of my questions were answered and I test drove the Sonata I left to compare the price given with other dealerships in the area. After much research I came back to Fitz Auto Mall and Curt Parsons because they were by far the best service and best price in the area. I highly recommend them.

I had originally brought my 2012 Jeep Liberty to Sears Auto at Tyrone Square after it would not start after it ran out of gas even after refueling. The manager said that the throttle body had shorted and presented a $1000 estimate. I questioned his diagnosis as it did not make sense for the TB to short after just running out of gas and because he could not provide me with a trouble code for the TB when I asked for it. I then called Bill at Fitzgerald Jeep and explained my situation. He agreed that it did not make sense and suggested I bring it to another Jeep dealer closer to where the car was. I decided to bring my car to Fitzgerald anyways because of Bill’s honesty and professionalism. I am glad I did. Throughout the repair process Bill kept me informed and advised me what repairs were needed and others he suggested. Turns out it was not the TB at all. When all was said and done, my Jeep was repaired and now runs great and the repair was $300 less than the Sears estimate. Very satisfied.
