Ive now used PMS 3 times over the last year or so with my 2014 Bounder. The first time was an oil, lube a front wheel bearing repack. They turned it around as promised. In fact, my experience is that they have always been able to keep their delivery promises. This time, along with oil and lube, I had the chassis air conditioner rebuilt, the backup camera replaced and power transfer switch replaced. They had to get parts--which is really hard now with COVID in the RV world. However, they were able to get the parts and install them within 2 weeks on everything. Amazing. Talk about under-promising and over-delivering... A shout out to service advisor Tony!
We were traveling through the area and stumbled upon Preventative Maintenance and were thrilled with their services. They were professional and prompt. Even went so far as to recommend keeping one of our used tires as a spare. Both drop off and pick up of our Minnie Winnie RV was easy and secure. Thank you for all your help! We will definitely use your services again!
Glorified parts changers computer doesnt tell him what the problem is they cant figure it out I brought my van in for fuel system problem they changed and tested everything around it. there looked at a bunch of wires by the fuel pump and went no further besides that couldnt fix it I took it. I got it home checked it myself fuel pump wires are rubbing on the frame fixed the wires my self problem solved. if they were as good as they say they are they would have fixed the wires. the problem would have been solved not happy with them
These people are real good at getting things done on motor home. There was no wait time getting in in or diagnose the problem and get the parts and fix it. Fair price and done all the updates. Best Ive found.
First time using these great folks for our Diesel Pusher RV. Staff very friendly, responsive and helpful and service was work was excellent and exactly as they quoted. Definitely our go to shop for all future service.
We utilize PMS for our fleet maintenance. They are always courteous, efficient and knowledgable when caring for our vehicles. We look forward to working with them for a long time. Rob & Tony are the best!
Preventative Maintenance did a great job completing the Synthetic Oil change, Oil filter and Diesel Fuel Filter changes on our 2016 Ram 3500 Cummins! They kept us up to date on their progress and had it completed faster than expected!Great job Preventative Maintenance!
They went above and beyond our expectations. It took a long time for parts to come in because of Covid and they stored our RV while we were waiting. We will use them again.
My friends and I have used PMS for many years with great satisfaction. Recently I had my Entegra motorhome major annual done for the first time at PMS and I couldnt be happier. Rob and Neil not only did a thorough job but exceeded my expectations in terms of follow up and time to complete. I would highly recommend PMS and will return for future service needs.
We have used them for our 42 ft Monaco and have always been pleased. The price is fair and the work is done right the first time. Nice guys too!
One of the hardest parts of traveling the country in an RV is finding dependable, affordable and willing to work with your schedule repair shops... look no further you have found them! They worked with our schedule to only have us out of the coach for one night while completing a major slide rebuild! Tony, Neil and Doug are hands down the best RV repair team we have found in a year and half of traveling the country! Thank you so much for your hard and timely work gentlemen!
Ill never return to your business... Your mechanic Chris told me my struts needed replaced but, after taking them off and putting them back on, says it was the control arms... Cost me $845 driving away from there, with the car sounding worse, than when I brought it in... I went to a mechanic who knew what he was doing and guess what? It wasnt the struts and more than likely not the control arms. It was 2 $30 bushings for the subframe. So, unless youre refunding my money for the complete ripoff job you did on my car, I highly doubt that Ill even be in the neighborhood, your business. Holy cow, what a scam that was, huh?
UPDATE: I have been back to Preventive Maintenance Services. They continue to take great, timely care of my class A RV. They replaced some damage rubber on my slideout that started leaking and chased down a few other problems I was having. I am a happy customer. Thanks Rob, Tony and Neil!I happened upon this business when a flyer was sent to my home. I had tried to make an appointment at one of the big RV places and didn’t hear back from them repeatedly. Whenever I call Preventive maintenance services I get to speak to someone, no automated prompts here! If I call when my RV is in for service I get answers to my questions and if I haven’t called they have called me and given me an update. I am very pleased with their work.
Every time I take my personal truck or any of the company vehicles there service is performed on a timely and valuable manner, Bob will even go the extra step providing me with a ride to my job not too far away and taking payment over the phone to allow flexibility for pickup due to my busy schedule. I am happy that there is a diesel shop that always provides honest and upfront answers to any of our transport needs at Alvarez Roofing Services. Thank you guys for the great work and attitude you provide.
They always do a great job, everything was done in a timely manner and we were back on the road in no time.
Very happy happy with the oil change service from Preventive Maintenance. We will be making our way north and needed service to our RV. Thanks Rob for the wonderful service.
Working from out of town and had a truck go down. They fixed it very quickly and we were able to continue. Thank you again
Service was great. One day and Harvey the RV got new tires, awning and a tune up. Thanks.
Anytime I have called with an issue with my RV, I have received an appointment right away. I have been using Preventive Maintenance for almost 5 years...for general maintenance to extended service contract work to painting my RV and have never been disappointed. Rob even answers questions and offers advice when Im on the road. Who do that? Preventive Maintenance and Rob. Highly recommend!
Fair price and great service and had my RV back in that afternoon. Will do business with them in the future.
This business was recommended by my neighbor who has used them for several years for work on his motor home. I had some routine maintenance needing attention on my coach so I decided to give them a shot. Scheduled an appointment and dropped the motor home off. Plenty of room to maneuver in parking lot and road out front. Work was done very timely at a fair price and service was great. Also confirmed that they can do work on my coach under the extended warranty so they will be getting more business from me for sure. Thanks!
Would use again. They kept us informed of any delays and accommodated our schedule. Top notch!
I have a Tiffin allegro bus 40 ft have been using their services for years. I would not take my coach anywhere else. Have recently moved to Ft Myers and I will drive the extra distance to continue getting the best RV service in Florida !
Rob was easy to deal with and kept me informed as to what was happening with my coach. Job came in under estimate, delivered timely and fully functional. They may not be the cheapest (not sure Id want the lowest bidder working on my coach anyhow) but their work appears to be high quality.Im very happy with my whole experience and will continue to use them as my repair facility of choice.Thx guys!
Great experience with the service and folks at Preventive Maintenance. Thanks Rob for the wonderful service.
Great, professional, and timely car maintenance. I have gone in for an oil change and also a trip check to ensure my car was ready for a road trip. Al and his staff were all very friendly & prompt. I especially enjoyed that they had a spacious waiting area and an additional conference room area with a large table where I could work from my computer while they worked on my vehicle. Super convenient! I would highly recommend them to have your car or RV worked on.
Performed maintenance on my fifth wheel axels and an awning repair. Service was quick and at reasonable cost.
We are very happy with our experience here! We purchased a new-to-is RV and trusted Rick and his team to give it a once over, change the oil, and install new tires. They were honest with their feedback and did a thorough job of evaluating any issues. We feel that we got a fair price on all repairs that were necessary and are happy to have our new baby road ready! Thanks, guys!
These guys do a great job, they are fast, reliable and professional.
Very happy with the service I received and would definitely recommend them! They do a great job of communicating with you and keeping you up to date with the status of your vehicle.
I recently purchased an RV and took it in for a few minor things and dealing with Rob was a pleasure, I always felt like I was made aware of any repairs to be done and they were done in a timely matter, it was a pleasure compared to the horror stories I have been hearing about rv dealers
My go to place for work on my RV. Greatfriendly service, fair prices.
Bob Merz, was knowledgeable, explained the work, and followed thru in detail.
Dependable service with great technicians that are factory authorized for our motorhome (Tiffin). Always looking for a good job done at a fair and reasonable price for work done on our RV. Preventive Maintenance fits the bill. It should also be noted that they get the job done in a timely manner.Very dependable.
Great RV repair shop to do business with. They take the time to explain in detail all service performed plus they gave us some helpful tips. Very fair pricing.
As a full time Rv person it’s always stressful dropping your home off for repairs, Robert made it a stressless process and got it done when he said it would be done, went above my expectations for a mechanic shop, didn’t just fix my issues but made sure everything involved was in working order. A great find while visiting the St. Petersburg area.
Do you guys are the real deal, fast and friendly service and great waiting room accommodations. I had a set of shocks installed in my 42 foot motorhome it took them less than an hour. Highly recommended
I had my RV I to PMS twice for the same problem, a leaky sink pipe. Neither time did they fix it. A friend put plumbers tape around the valve and that did the trick. I am not sure why PMS didn’t think of that. Also, PMS quoted me $1,200 for a brake replacement. The same exact job was done by RV Medic for $500. Makes me go hummmmm!
Just took our motorhome in for service the team was very attentive and wanted to know all the details on our service highly recommend them
I went for an oilchange, I usually pay $240 to $300.....I was charged...$652.96....I had also asked to check for a slow air leak, they told me, it was a dot valve, and that the cost of the valve was $360, I called the Dealer up and was told the valve was $39 and for my company was $33....I told them not to put it on, and confronted the gentleman and was told that the labor made it that high....It took me 20 minutes to put it on and Im not even a mechanic.....You guys are a total rip off....I also have my Mercedes Class B RV that needs the batteries changed.....You definitely not going to get my business.....
Very nice professional people they do good work
Attention!!!! All RV owners these are the Mechanics you need help with on any of your RV repairs. We are so blessed to have Preventative Maintenance working on are new to us motorhome. There fair with there pricing and go over and beyond customer satisfaction. I know if I need anything fixed or upgraded they will always be the first to call.I do not work for this company I’m just a very happy customer.
Great price and service for my car. Bonus was the waiting area with TV, coffee and comfortable seating. Didn’t expect that. Highly recommended!
$25. Bucks to check the RV tire pressure.not going back there!
Very honest people, Rob was very helpful, the bottom price was very good, I recommend Preventive maintenance to anybody with RV problems, thanks!!
We were very happy with the excellent experience here. We bought a used RV and it was in need of repairs. The whole crew there did a great job and were great to work with. We will definitely use them in the future. Thanks so much guys.
Very knowledgeable and professional
We did not find Rob (the manager?) to be responsive to our concerns; he wouldnt allow us to interact directly with technicians, for instance. Several of the more minor issues never really got satisfactorily addressed. The charges for work were based on industry standards rather than the actual time spent. Hence some issues which took 5-10 minutes were billed at ½ hr since that seemed to be the lowest amount of time that the industry allocates . However, we are satisfied with the major issue we went there for, an air condition/heater that needed replacing. The time billed for that repair was very reasonable.
Had a great experience with Preventive Maintenance Service. They installed a steering stabilizer and bushings on my motorhome for a very reasonable price and wait time. While they are working on your motorhome, you can stay in their waiting area with hot cocoa/coffee and some TV. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable, felt like my motorhome was in good hands. Definitely recommend to others. Driving my motorhome feels great now, Thanks guys!
Great service! My car is back on the road and running so much better.
I am very pleased with the service and attention that I received. I will definitely bring my car back for any future repairs.
I have been dealing with Al and his fantastic crew for a few years now. I utilize them for my business trucks, personal vehicles and motorhome. They have always treated us like we were their only customers. Its a one stop shop for us with all the vehicles we have. Their service writers are the best in the business. The mechanics are the very best in their class as well. They always exceed my expectations when I deal with them. If you own a Motorhome dont waste your time taking it to the dealer, these guys do it better, faster and deal with the warranty company as well. Try them next time you wont be disappointed.
I had made an appointment for Thursday when I learned that I could no longer stay where I was parked. I asked Rob if he had the space and would he mind keeping my RV for a few days. He allowed me to drop it off on Monday and the work was finished on Thursday as promised. Rob has a nice sense of humor and was fun to deal with. The work was done promptly and I was charged the price that was quoted over the phone. So Im one happy camper !
Always have had excellent service with PMS! They completed my RV service in a timely manner and do a great job. Rob always keeps me informed what is going on. I think their prices are fair. It’s a RV repair company I trust.
Fast and quality. They fixed a few things that I had not even request. Such as the back latch to the engine. Additionally Rob is very helpful and thoughtful and goes out of his way to assist. What’s really nice is unlike practically every other place I can drop my vehicle at night and they will take it in and begin to work on it. Most RV service centers take months on a waiting list before you can even bring it in and then the prices are outrageous such as at lazy days.
Two different shops were unable to identify the problem I was having with my front end. Thank you PMS, for listening to me (and my car) and for finally correctly diagnosing the problem and repairing it.
They did our repair quickly. We have used their service several times and been very satisfied. The people who work there are very personable.
I will definitely use these guys again. They really went as far as they could to help me out. And they were great at communicating.
PMS was recommended by a fellow RV owner so we tried them. Frankly it was the best experience I have ever had at a motorcoach repair shop. My old unit had been in storage and needed to get road ready for a new season. From the very beginning we were welcomed with professionalism and friendliness. We agreed on the services needed with an open ended agreement they would also look for any common coach problems. They serviced the CAT diesel, worked on several wiring problems, got the steps working properly and fixed several long observed leaks. Tires, brakes and batteries were also serviced. They gave an estimate upfront and contacted me every time a problem was found for price discussions. They delivered on time and at a reasonable (and expected) price. It was great! Thumbs up to everyone at PMS!
Jeff and crew were magnificent! We brought our Forest River trailer in for a collection of repairs and installations and were very pleasantly surprised at their courtesy and professionalism. Our trailer was ready for us in less than 3 days and the jobs were perfect.
They can fix everything on your RV... Going there for years... Excellent service - Not trying to sell you stuff you dont need... Very reliable and helpful.
Just came back for some work on my RV before I head north. This time I have a pretty big list, and Doug took care of me. The service was great and as always the price was fair. Good job guys, and see you next year.I would recommend this company to anyone in the Clearwater area.
Ive had several items repaired and/or replaced with after market parts on my 08 F250 diesel pickup. From suspension to engine, theyve been able to help. I can bring my own parts or they order them. There are allot of places, especially dealers who dont know what theyre doing. At PMS I was comfortable enough with them to pull the cab to replace a turbo and get ARP head studs installed. Im not so sure a dealer would be that careful with my baby. Thanks to Al, Doug and the crew at PMS for excellent service over the past 4 years.
What a great service shop. Quick and hassle free
I work for a company that takes our fleet of box truck there and to be honest its a great atmosphere there quick and reliable havent had any complaints been utilizing them for 2 years and they have always done a great job
I am so glad I was referred over to them. They fit me in whenever I have an issue with my mobile grooming truck. They are honest and reasonable.
In regards to the owners comment:If the technicians had so many years of experience then my trailer should have been able to be repaired. I was told that it could not be repaired by your facility. Doug has had complaints on him for poor customer service in the past including yelling at customers when asking questions. Being the owner, behavior like Dougs should be considered when dealing with the public. I did not pay a dime and that is correct nor would I, but the way I received my trailer with the shower doors hanging off and the loss of my trailer for 7 weeks and unable to get my trailer fixed and move on was more of a loss since I work a lot out of state a lot and need that trailer. Your reply misinforms the public of your business. If I wasnt so upset about the service I received I would not have left such a detailed review. Al, if this was your reply then you should have contacted me if you indeed had meetings regarding my trailer. Also if that was the case then why did it take 7 weeks and still nothing even after getting the president of the manufacturer involved. Your company did not contact me, but my manufacturer did. Al you are just misinforming the general public. Your service all around is less than acceptable.Pm did not professionally communicate to me or the manufacturer of my trailer. My trailer is under manufacturer warranty. They were going to rip up my plumbing and redo when it was done correctly by manufacturer. They left my shower doors busted up and told me and the manufacturer after having my trailer for 6 weeks they didnt know how to fix it. Doug twice had called me and yelled at me on the phone. After that myself and my manufacturer wanted it out of there. My manufacturer found me another shop immediately to fix the issues and the manufacturer will never use them again and neither will I. They close earlier than 430 too and almost didnt make it that day to get my keys back. Stay away. Find another shop
Took our RV in for slideout issues and in a week Rob had it fixed! He had to refix Camping World ‘s repair job that was done less than a year ago! We will definitely use this place from now on! It’s far from Land O’ Lakes but well worth the drive!
Oil change and fixed a tire. Didnt have to wait and employees very polite
Saved us over $4k another dealer wanted to charge to fix my generator, highly recommend.
Very friendly staff that took the time to inspect my car and discuss repair issues
Nice people and decent prices.
Great place to fix your car
BEWARE!!!!! These guys seem alright but will squirm and lie there way into your wallet. They will make empty promises forget to call you before they install parts and gouge you for labor undone. I payed good money to receive a halfa** job at top dollar price. When i picked up my truck and half the problems they said it had magically disappeared places like this give mechanics a bad reputation.
I just had my 2007 Ford Powerstroke towed to the guys at PMS. Truck would crank but would not start, after they looked at it they gave me an estimate and have it done the next day.. Its been running great for the past week. They have some great powerstroke tech over there.
No one is perfect but this place makes you feel welcome. We have used them for issues with several different RVs and have had good results each time. Very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They will be our maintenance and repair shop until we stop owning Rvs.
I thought these guys were the best.(BOY WAS I WRONG!) And the management is aware Im not happy and can care less.I even took a bunch of business cards and gave them to the manager of the RV park I was staying at.OVER CHARGED AND UNDER DELIVERED.Dropped my Diesel pusher off for a oil change and to have a windshield replaced. The windshield was a Insurance claim.I flew out of town for a week and came back to a $475.00 Oil change and NO replacement on my glass. Doug French told me he had NOT ordered the glass as they were waiting on my insurance company to approve the glass replacement.(No phone call from Doug to tell me there was a problem?) I called the insurance company and had approval in 15 minutes. Then Doug French told me he ordered the glass that day, so I stuck around Florida for another week waiting for my glass to arrive.Getting impatient, after two weeks of waiting I showed up at their office for a second time and they told me the glass should be in in a day or two.I asked for a tracking number on the glass and they happened to mention where the glass was coming from, so I called Duncan glass in Elkhart, Indiana and was informed that the glass was NOT ordered for 13 days after I initially dropped of the coach. When I questioned Doug about the outrageous oil change price, his response was Ive never had anyone complain about our prices. And the glass? He had no response. In the end, I dont think their probably not a bad shop. I think Doug just simply isnt doing his job and the management doesnt care because they are making money.Well Doug and management, You just lost a loyal customer for life and I will go out of my way to let people know you dont deliver what you say you will.
Fabulous place to get your diesel RV service d,. The staff is great and they are definitely RV smart!
I needed parts for my class c. I went there in person. I forgot my parts numbers so I went home then called back with the numbers the person on the phone took them down with my contact info. After not hearing back from them for a week I called and talk to the same individual who then said they would order and call me back thats been another week. I guess if you want to do your own repairs this place is not one for getting your parts. Dont waste your time on them.
Very friendly staff and they treat you like family.
I was very pleased with the prompt service repairs on My RoadTrek Van. Staff were courteous and helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs RV repairs.
Very poor service for electrical work. They prefer to take the easy way out and replace the entire wiring for the slide including a new motor and complete mechanical system. Took to a premium repair RV Center and it was nothing more than a electrical switch. Had prior problem with them regarding another electrical issue.
They have performed very well on a variety of tasks and have helped out while we are traveling.Good follow up.
My vintage Class A diesel motorhome has toured beautiful North America from Key West to Fairbanks and Cabo San Lucas to Halifax. I rely on Preventive Maintenance Service to keep the old rig reliable and roadworthy when home in St. Pete. On this years trip to the Pacific Northwest, one of the Suburban furnaces quit working. Two different service centers in that area worked on it. One didnt have a clue what was wrong. The other gave the furnace Last Rites and wanted to sell me a new one. Once home, the folks at PMS checked it out and found a defective wire which they immediately repaired. The unit works like new. I highly recommend PMS for any of your motorhome/RV maintenance needs.
They took care of our trucks needs.
Was having a great glamping experience at MacDill AFB this past weekend. On Saturday, without warning, a strong gust of wind comes off the gulf and turns our Class A RVs awning frame into a pretzel. I then spent about 3 1/2 hours to try and straighten the frame so I could drive the RV home (and ultimately to a repair facility). We all know what an incredible journey getting any type of work or repair on a RV will take...and time! I was able to get the awning to where I could drive the vehicle. On Sunday, I called my insurance company. On Monday, I called numerous repair facilities. All of the big name places told me it would be a couple of weeks BEFORE they could even get me in for an estimate. I then called Prevention Maintenance Services and spoke to Rob. He asked if I could come in the next morning, so they could look at and assess the awning situation. I brought the RV in on Tuesday morning. Rob and the techs IMMEDIATELY checked out the RVs damage. They knew exactly what needed to be done and what parts to order to fix the RV. Within less than an hour, he ordered the parts and talked to my insurance rep. I received a call that afternoon (Tuesday) advising me the parts place was already having a truck come to Clearwater the next day and was going to put my frame parts on the truck. Rob asked if I could bring the RV in on Wednesday evening and they would work on it first thing the next morning. The RV was completely fixed, to include a lube, inspection, and oil change by 1 p.m., Thursday (today). The wife and I are leaving for another RV adventure tomorrow morning for a 3-day weekend. Where can you call, schedule, and get a RV repaired (and an oil change) in less than a week? Prevention Maintenance Services, thats where!!!
Always had great service and work has always been done on time.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV HERE THEY DAMAGED OUR RV BEYOND REPAIRWe took our rv here for repair and after paying noticed there was significant damage to the custom interior of the wood paneling where they had removed an appliance in need of repair. This area was damaged during their repair service and they did not mention it and then denied their fault. The told us to sue them and would not speak further on the issue. They also broke one of our slide outs while working on the rv and refused to assist us with fixing it. The slide out worked prior to being in the shop and had never previously had an issue. Doug is especially rude. Would have been Ok with them if some kind of negotiations could have been made to fix what they broke but after being blocked from calling and hung up on multiple times we gave up.
Great, honest mechanic!
Good guys. Reliable.
Great vibe.
Excilent service thank you
In my opinion these people have no idea what they are doing. I will never do business with them again.
The worse place to work at.
SUCKS!!!! Total RIP OFF !!!! They will keep your truck for a long period of time and tell you each day something has to be replaced. We took the truck to another shop and he had it fix the next day. Please get a second opinion or Doug will F--K you.You have been WARNED!!!!!!
