Im a 63 year old guy. Like many of us, Ive had a fair amount of experience with dealerships all over the country. Most of that experience has been decidedly negative bordering on nightmarish at times. But then theres Justin Davis, a Service Advisor at Dayton Andrews on Gulf-to-Bay in Clearwater. I went into my recent visit with Justin (in connection with repairs needed on my sons truck) with the expectations of someone going in for the proverbial root-canal job. I came out of though like a surprised lottery winner in a magic land of promises kept, services rendered promptly and efficiently, deadlines met, costs below those anticipated and an unshakable good cheer, positive attitude, demonstration of competence and even humor - always a value-add. Justin and the team at Dayton Andrews are the bomb. They have changed my perception of what a visit to a dealership for service was, is and can be. I cannot thank you folks at Dayton Andrews for the excellent job you did and wanted to give praise when and where its due. It is due to Justin. We were visiting from out of town and caught with a dead battery. We were able to get an appointment with Nancy at Dayton Andrew’s Chrysler dealership for our 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Her level of knowledge and professionalism was beyond expectations and better than our local dealership! Nancy’s explanation of the issues we have been experiencing surpassed any other conversation we’ve had about our Jeep. She also found a fix for a bad blinker, instead of charging to replace it they found that it was a loose wire and simply plugged it back in. So impressed with the quality of service!
Absolutely fantastic! Bought a vehicle and the battery had a dead cell just four days after purchase and it wasn’t under warranty. The owner took it upon themselves to make sure I was given a replacement and because of the distance they’d paid out of pocket towards a separate dealership. I cannot rave enough about their service department! Connor, my service advisor, was absolutely AWESOME! He responded to all my questions and concerns immediately like I was his only customer.When I kind of forced the issue to have them fix my Jeep roof, the took it in and did it for me same day even though they were super busy.This kind of customer service is unheard of these days but they did it! Always took care of my van until one incident(where they left me broke down on the interstate). They wont take responsibility at all, and wont even consider a discount on diagnosing a check engine light after the fact. It is $180 just to diagnose a check engine light....Aamco does it for free

Theres service, and then theres Dayton Andrews service. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and to check out a potential engine issue. I was greeted professionally by Connor--who was clearly on top of his game. He was friendly from start to finish, laughed at my bad jokes (thanks), and diagnosed my issue quickly. I signed the work order, turned around, and there was Andrew(?) with the courtesy van offering to give me a ride wherever I needed to go, which in this case was Village Inn for coffee and breakfast (it was 7:30am). Ive never found this level of service at any of the local dealerships before. It was like going back in time to when people were actually proud of their work and knew how to treat customers. In this case, one of those was probably Dayton Andrews cuz theyve been around for awhile. Im happy to report they havent lost that pride in what they do and it really shows. This may sound like a fake review, but I can assure you its real. The world needs more Connors and Andrews. And other service businesses could learn a lot from the (whole) team at Dayton Andrews. This is a long overdue review.I have been going to this location since we bought my car there in 2014.NEVER, have i had a bad experience. From a simple oil change to bigger issues, they have always done a great job. I dont know about comparing prices, but its worth every penny to me, knowing i can trust them to fix my car correctly the first time!Connor has always been my service advisor and he is wonderful! Explains things and always very nice.I also recently needed some body work repair done. Big shout out to Ed and his staff in the body shop! My car looked beautiful when i got it back!!I recommend Dayton Andrews very highly!

The best place to take your Dodge. After spending hundreds of dollars trying to fix my AC in my 2004 Dakota, I finally took it to the folks at Dayton Andrews. They know these trucks inside and out. Nancy got in there, determined the issue, and fixed it. She also let me know what their limitations were with this older model and explained what she saw could be future problems getting parts, etc. I walked away knowing I paid for the experts to work on my vehicle. And I have AC working for the first time in a year.
Craig has always taken the clients best interest to heart. I cant say enough good, positive things about the service staff. Nancy also!

I have had a LOT of issues with my dealership in Atlanta and the service department is some of the worst Ive experienced. I was in town visiting my parents and thought Id schedule service while I was in town as my dad could pick me up as Im used to waiting 6 hours in Atlanta. Nancy was amazing she got me in as promised and done right away. I will be doing my service here whenever I go visit my parents so despite knowing they would not have a customer I was dealt with like I was a lifetime customer and now I think I will be despite living 8 hours away.

If I could put negative stars I would. Bought a used 2017 GMC Sierra from the dealership and less than 2 weeks later the transmission completely stops working and the dealership basically laughed at me for asking them for any assistance at all. The customer service is a joke and never get a call back from the managers. Would highly recommend you going to a buy here pay here lot before purchasing vehicles from them.
Cannot say enough positive things about Dayton Andrews..! With the awful prospect of being stranded, from out of state.. with no rental cars in sight on a Saturday morning..(everything happens to me on the weekend!) they kindly took my car in quickly. Diagnosis and repair in a short time. Everyone was helpful and kind. Dealership is clean and spacious. Was so pleased and relieved! I highly recommend 👍🏻
5 stars for the body shop. Valerie took care of my Fiat on two occasions for the front bumper and rear as well, both times I got excellent service, a great price, and the paint job is one of the best Ive seen!! Looks just like factory paint! Thanks!!!

I went to Dayton Andrews for and oil change and tire rotation on my Chrysler 300. I went here because I had a coupon for the oil change. They were very quick and professional with the service. After I paid and went to get in my car, I noticed that there were three (3) very large dirty hand smudges around my drivers door. After cleaning it off I proceeded to check the instrument gauge. I noticed that the tire pressure gauge readings were the same as when I brought the car in. Now I am wondering if they did rotate my tires or just not check the tire pressure. ( I have no way of telling). After speaking to the service tech, he took my car back to the service dept. I am now being told that the tires were rotated but they forgot to check the tire pressure. Again I will have to go with their word. After finally getting the tire issue resolved as I am getting back into my car I notice again three (3) very large dirty hand smudges on the door. Again. I have to clean my car. I am not sure if I will be returning to this dealer the next time I need an oil change.
This was a return visit to fix the mistake made on the initial repair. I gave them an honest 5 because this solved the problem but to have to leave the car another time for previous sloppy work is not encouraging to have me return to this dealer.

I recently purchased a vehicle at Dayton Andrews Clearwater and have to say it was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences Ive had. For me it was all about the convenience and professionalism. I found it very convenient that I could look online to find the vehicles that I was interested in, correspond online with the sales department and not have to come in until I was ready to see the vehicle in person and sign the deal. The sales team and sales manager really made the experience easy and gave me a good deal. Ill definitely be back when Im ready to trade again!

I was at this location a few days ago to order 392 Daytona Charger. James Webb helped us and honestly he was not very helpful and was pretty difficult to work with. He tried to include features for the car that i did not ask fo without me knowing and he also refused to negotiate a price with us until the car is on the lot. James also mentioned that I would not qualify for 0% apr for 72 months. He didnt ask for any financial information and only cared about getting my signature to lock in a non negotiable price and nothing else.A few days later we went to the dodge dealership in Seminole and not only were we able to get 0% apr for 72 months, we also were able to negotiate a selling price and lock it in beforehand today rather than waiting until the car is in the lot. The customer service at the Seminole location is far superior to the customer service James Webb had at this location. Avoid this location at all costs. We walked out very happy and satisfied at the Seminole location and got exactly what we were looking for with a great price too.

Went here to look at a car we found online. The price listed online was $2,500 less than the price they actually wanted for the car (quoting trade in credit and financing credit, neither of which were detailed online).The biggest complaint is when the sales rep Deb suggested we commit insurance fraud to fix the chipped windshield. The passenger power mirror was also faulty and they wanted to add on $1,500 to the sales price to fix it. I will never buy a car from here and I dont think anyone else should either. Super shady business.

Fantastic experience. I called for a service appointment for a fuel leak late on a Saturday afternoon; and Craig from the Service Department was able to get me in right away. Not only did they diagnose and repair the fuel issue, but they also addressed an annoying intermittent break warning light that I had been putting up with for a few weeks. Craig took care of contacting my warranty company and getting everything under that warranty paid, and I didn’t have to call anyone. All this and an oil change without an appointment. I highly recommend to anyone needing service...They really went above and beyond in taking care of me and my vehicle.

I had a 3yrs warranty 1000 miles on engine replacement which was done twice six days after purchase.
Complete waste of my time. Drove 3 hours to pick up a vehicle, approved with down payment, that did not start and keys were jammed in ignition that even the sales person couldn’t remove. No remedies offered and had another 3 hour drive home. So much for vehicle inspection before placing on the lot.

2015 Jeep Cherokee. I have had TWO ENGINES put in since owning this. While going to hospital, front left tire COMPLETELY came off. several months later same front left side all broke apart, tire facing away from car. Could have caused serious injury or death if going faster. Dealership refused to take ownership of issues. Bought a new car elsewhere. Disgusted with this dealership. Dayton Andrews replied to my post and their response/claim is WRONG. I always took my car to be serviced THERE! ANYTHING on this car was from the dealership...own up to it people! They know this. I took it for a second opinion ONLY AFTER they refused to own up to their wrong doing. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

They have a very busy service center, that has been newly remodeled. Very pleasant waiting/lounge area.Very clean and organized check in/out stations. My service provider, Justin, was very pleasant as well as accurate with the pricing involved with my 2006 Jeep Liberty, which Dayton Andrews has maintained & serviced since 2007.
My family and I were on vacation and the Jeep started to act up. With a long trip ahead of us and kids in tow we were rattled. I called the dealership and Nancy in Service was awesome - she knows what she is doing and worked quickly to get me in and the car looked at within an hour! On top of that, she and her team were kind and helped make light of the situation....by the next morning the car was properly diagnosed and repaired! Add to that a payment plan option as well as a shuttle to and from the hotel ( driver was great too) this place is fantastic - very impressed!
Despite buying my vehicle at another dealership, I drive 30-45 minutes to bring it to the service department here. They have always done a great job. Connor recently attended to me and not only saved me on unnecessary maintenance, but had me in & out sooner than expected!They have also finished their new customer lounge and it’s VERY nice, with WIFI and plenty of charging stations.

Youre not going to find a better or more honest dealership anywhere.They treated me great, all via phone and email, put together a great deal, obviously dependent on actually seeing my trade.A few days later my check engine light came on, @#$%#@. A very minor emissions repair, but hey, they could have trashed my trade value. I emailed them the diagnosis and repair estimate, ($356), hoping for the best, knowing it would cost them less to repair in house than it would cost me.They didnt change a thing !! They were totally understanding and didnt change a single penny. Who treats you like that? Dayton Andrews does.The delivery was smooth and easy as pie.However, the final payment was different than we had previously discussed... it was $7/month LESS than quoted. Hey, seven bucks is seven bucks, lol. They got me a bit better APR than originally quoted.You want Neil ODonoghue as your salesman, and Omar Leak as your finance guy... top notch professionals.
Never better! From my first contact (online) to the appointment, to the Finance Manager and everyone in-between, I couldnt have imagined a better experience. I was SO dreading shopping for a new car again.I have had my heart set on a Gladiator for many, many months...I just needed to see and feel one in-person, see if it was all I thought it would be. I reached out and was immediately made to feel comfortable (zero sales pressure even after the test drive). One of the most impressive, and made me take notice, is that the Dayton Andrews Team has been together for many years and that says a lot for a company/management in a transient business, everyone I encountered worked VERY well TOGETHER...I was very comfortable all the way through the process. Another noticable difference in my vehicle purchase with them was the amount of knowledge everyone has...I found out that Dayton Andrews provides a lot training that even includes field trip presentations. They shared so much and took a lot of time going over everything in and about the Jeep, Ive never experienced this when looking at a vehicle in the past. It helps that they are also offroad enthusiasts (Jeep and Dodge).And then, I became a Gladiator owner...they genuinely welcomed me to the family (and they do make you feel a part of it, for sure). The entire team offered so much information and resources (and excitement for my new Jeep Life). I am grateful for this experience, it was a totally different one this time...and I loved it! Product knowledge, take their time with you, ZERO pressure, honest bottom line $, Finance Manager made things a breeze without pheriphial BS, and the availability after the sale because you are now family. Tessa in preowned (internet sales) was fantastic. I usually go to Carmax because I hate the dealership experience but this was not a typical dealer experience. Car was resonably priced and financing was easy.
Over all this is a great dealership. I was not disappointed with the whole process and the there service department o always done a great.
Avoid Service Department. Theyll quote you one price and provide you another at vehicle pickup. My mistake for not getting the quote in writing. I trusted the service rep to be honest with the verbal quote he provided, I guess thats what I deserve for being a trusting person. $180.00 difference from the quote to the out the door price. Very sad when a business operates in this fashion. From a low $500 quote to the out the door $680.00 price. Wow, I guess they have to pay for that new service department some way. In all fairness, they did take off $50 from a coupon posted on their website, after I complained. So out the door was $630.77. Still unacceptable. Funny comment they made before I left. The next time you come back sir, well make up for it... Next time? Really? Thats funny.
I wouldn’t give any stars if that was an option.I made a big mistake bringing my car to Dayton Andrews… I called on a Monday asked, gave details, stated I cant be without a car and what’s the most convenient time to bring my car in with your schedule…. I was advised to come in that Thursday in the AM to drop my car off and I would be able to pick my car up that day after work because ‘she would be able to diagnose’ it in one day…. Well Thursday I drop my car off in the morning as directed… I don’t hear anything from Dayton Andrews all day.. finally I decide to call and check it was 3:45 PM, but the service writer chose to look at the caller ID and ignore my call so I proceed to text the number she txt me off of…. Oddly enough, I get response almost immediately stating that “To be honest, it may roll over to the next day” which was NOT an option for me. She talks me into leaving my car there over night and promises she will have a diagnosis for my car by Friday morning…. My car didn’t even make it to the bay to be looked at until 4PM Thursday. At this time I just need her to put me in a rental, in which she tells me she can give me the number to call and set up a rental? So clearly she is lazy and doesn’t want to do her job because I specifically asked Hertz rental when I was there if it’s the client, dealership or the warranty who is responsible for making the reservation, which I was then told by their manager that I was the “third person this week to complain about Dayton Andrews” …. ( I still don’t have an update at this time) I call my advisor and let her know that I am on my way to pick up my car as she still cant diagnose it….. All of a sudden I get a call from her stating she has a diagnosis for my car and its an O2 sensor…(which isn’t covered by my warranty) she let me know it was $300+ to get that sensor fixed and that it would be almost $1000 to fix my windshield sprayer nozzles, and revisor tank as well as the cables. I kindly let her know I am only going to be able to do what my warranty can cover at this time as I don’t have $300 for just a sensor…..(I dropped my car off and requested a drive shaft and motor mount to be fixed)…. I was disrespected and the only response I got was “GOTCHA”. She submitted bogus things to my warranty like my push button not working, although I have two different push buttons and they both work on my car….she didn’t even request the motor mount to be fixed… I could continue but I won’t. (as of Friday we still don’t have a full diagnosis on my car) After all this missing work, doing her job because she doesn’t want to etc., I finally have a rental car and we are waiting for parts to ship to Dayton Andrews….Friday I decided to look up reviews for this place… ( I should have done that before taking my car in there) I felt an instant knot in my stomach knowing I don’t feel comfortable with leaving my car in their possession… I have to wait to Monday to speak to the manager and ask why/how the mechanic/advisor can not see a cracked piece on my car that I have pictures and videos of for them…. The manager doesn’t even apologize for his rude employee talking to me the way she did and treating me the way she did because she makes commission off my $300+ sensor that I wasn’t getting done today, completely starts over and diagnosis my car with a transmission issue within maybe an hour of talking to him, and he tells me the service engine light is on, although when I dropped it off on Thursday it did NOT have a service engine light) He told me that and said for me to hang tight while he continues to look for things on my car… I immediately called around to get my car in a different place that will be able to assist me and fix my car. The first place I called told me I was the THIRD person THAT SAME DAY who has called to remove their car from Dayton Andrews Service and bring it to them!!! unbelievable. These people need to be reported to the BBB…. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE PEOPLE!
Do not use for a vehicle inspection. Took Jeep that I was interested in buying there and received only a $200 bill in return. No itemized inspection and no feedback. Called the service manager to inquire after the fact and he wasnt able to provide any additional information. Was promised it would be done in two hours, took all day. When Ive done this in the past, and paid less other places, I received a full report.

Their sales manager Jason was texting with me about a vehicle inquiry and he was fine, respectful, etc. However, at some point I was passed to another person named George Cox who told me they do not negotiate/discount vehicles due to the “shortage”. That’s not something I want to hear as a potential customer then this man proceeded to text me everyday asking me if I was still interested which is fine he has a job to do but where I draw the line is sending me text after text with question marks and basically spamming my phone in a matter of minutes. I ended up blocking him and I wouldn’t do business with a place that finds that acceptable. I also work all day and cannot have this sort of thing happening while I’m on calls with clients or superiors.

Service was really good. Had vehicle towed to them. They diagnosed the issues, updated all recalls. Fixed the problem. Was back on the road next day. Friendly and helpful. Will go back for all service. Staff was knowledgeable and informed.
Today my car battery died while in Tampa. By the time I made it to Dayton Andrews they were closing in 30 minutes. They still managed to replace it and have me on my way a few minutes after their closing time. I cant express how much I appreciate their care and understanding. Truly top notch service, and I cant recommend them enough.They also graciously gave me a jump when I accidentally parked in the wrong area and couldnt get my car to start again.
Didnt have the Pacifica van I am still looking for... Dayton Andrews Chrysler Plymouth Dodge... Now has multiple brands fiats etc... And less room for the old oak tree roots of the Dayton Family Dealership. GM

Bait and Switch Dealership!!!! SERVICE MEMBERS Go elsewhere and avoid being taken advantage of!!I have two dealings with this dealership and both resulted in me having to go elsewhere to get my vehicle and my service/tires.First incident was on March 6, 2020, I was looking for a Jeep Gladiator to purchase and went through USAA and TRUECAR. I found a Gladiator for 32399.00 that had all the options I wanted on it. It was in stock at Dayton Andrews and I had the VIN number. I went to them and started the process. Bottom line is that the main manager and George COX both came to an agreement that this same VIN should cost 34,751...even though I had the correct pricing and discounts for my vehicle. I had to go to Jim Browne to get an honest and fair pricing and got the 32399 for my Gladiator with more extras. Dayton Andrews, BAIT AND SWITCH DEALERSHIP.Second incident is when MOPAR was offering a special to Military Gladiator owners of buy 3 tires get 1 free with only install fees. I called Dayton Andrews March 12, 2021 and they had the tires in stock but when I went to set up the install, they insisted that all Buy 3 get one free had to get Alignment and some other charges. They had my tires costing 1279.00 with install. I told then I did not want the additional services and extras and they said you had to get them with the BUY3Get1 deal. BAIT AND SWITCH. I got the same tires and install from Ferman Jeep of NP Richey for 755.47 installed. Ferman Jeep is honest and up front and made my service easy.Dayton Andrews is a horrible dealership and I did call the MOPAR customer service line with this exact information. MOPAR Responded that some dealerships have no moral values when it comes to serving those who served. GO ELSEWHERE and get your vehicles, service and parts.BAIT AND SWITCH dealership DAYTON ANDREWSWith both incidents I left messages for Sales and Service Managers to call me and never got an a call back.5/10/21 1158 AM, I just talked to Justin Kitzmiller (service manager) and told him all that has happened and he just wants to win my service business back. I will be convinced only if I need service again and they are fair and honest with me on Service.I have never received a call back from sales and Honestly I think they are too cowardly to call me or give me a name to get this fixed as they are the ones trying to take advantage of service members that are looking for a new or used vehicle. Again Shame on you Dayton Andrews for trying to take advantage of Service members who think they are getting an honest price for a vehicle.
My Husband and I were trying to find a new truck for the family. We had a few places we planned on going that day. Our first stop was Dayton Andrews on Gulf to Bay in Clearwater. We both agreed we were just looking. However our experience from the time we pulled on the lot to the time we drove our new truck home. Was our best experience ever!! Carrie went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted. No games, or cheating us on what we knew our car was worth. She was honest, up front about everything. Kept us informed in the short time we were there. By far the best salesperson we’ve ever dealt with. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! Would also like to give another shout out to the leasing person Mike he was amazing as well. Talked us through everything made it simple, easy and quick! No stressing or hassle. Just received everything we wanted and more than we imagined! Thank you so much Carrie (Jeep girl 😉), Mike and Dayton Andrews for making a long awaited dream come true! Cause I’m a Truck girl now!!

This was my third stop in searching for the right truck at the right price. I thank god that the first person I met was Barry. He went above and beyond to make sure I was in the truck I wanted. He was straight forward with no runarounds. He was punctual and knew exactly what he was talking about. Barry did all he was able to do and then Jim closed up the deal. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I will continue to do business with them and send people their way.

What a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I spoke with Jason Clarke to assist in working the deal over the phone (I live in Ft. Myers) and he and the supporting staff where fantastic!!! We had to trade in two vehicles, they helped out tremendously with more than fair prices and trade in values in order to get into a beautiful 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Limited S. When we arrived after a 2 hour drive. He personally took it upon HIMSELF to take the vehicle to have cleaned at a nearby carwash, because it was 4th of July weekend and the detailing staff werent present, and he filled it with gas. Wish I could give more stars.
I would make this a six-star review if possible, but Google doesnt allow that yet. Their service department always goes above and beyond. Great quality, friendly and honest. Have had my Jeep and Pontiac serviced here. With their expertise, I was able to avoid problems and expensive repairs with my older Jeep because of the great advice they gave me. Really bad service. We were half greeted by a woman that obviously had no interested in selling to us. After 2 half asked questions she told us she couldnt help us with a lease even with us having a credit score above 730, even when that has not been an issue with other dealers. We were quickly disregarded. Zero interest, zero hospitality, zero service.
Me and my girlfriend brought in our FIAT 500 POP for a recall 10/08/2020. We pick up the car and it is completely drained / dead. We assumed the tech left a light on overnight and took the car home after jumping thinking nothing of it. Next day we turn key to start and nothing... Currently reaching out for a resolution and was told we need to pay $139.99 for diagnostic as if they just disregarded the fact that this was never an issue prior.
I had a wonderful experience here great service team who were very helpful in getting my vehicle back on the road. The service manager even came out to make sure I was highly satisfied with the repairs they had made. I will definitely come back again.
