I always enjoy shopping at this Harris Teeter location in Clayton, NC. I typically use the self-checkout line and have gotten to know several of the store associates. I usually call the store to speak to the manager and tell him how great of service I received at the checkout. I hope the staff I spoke highly of received commendations for my singing their praises. If not, I wanted share my latest self checkout experience at the store. The store associate I met was named Mike. He made sure I had the laser gun for my packs of water, told me the produce code for my items and checked my ID for my birthday celebratory spirits. Neither one of us were expecting to discover how we were actually more connected than customer and associate. Ends up my birthday is the day he enlisted into the military. WHAATTTT??!!! That has never happened in my lifetime. After sharing with me how memorable my birthday was we talked for some time and bonded even more. I tell you I enjoy meeting the store associates at this Harris Teeters. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I just want to let readers and the store to know how much I enjoy my shopping experience and that I would like for the staff to know how much they are appreciated too.

Very high quality bakery goods and an expansive meat and deli department with great variety are highlights we noticed immediately. The cooked foods looked very appetizing and smelled great, but we didnt buy anything from that department this time. The prices on more common products seemed a little high, but the shopping experience was very pleasant. I liked the checkout arrangement with the cashier taking your loaded cart and scanning the items directly from it and bagging them. It seems like a more sanitary and convenient way than the traditional conveyor belt system.I will shop here again. It reminded me a lot of Wegmans, and thats a high bar to meet in my opinion.

I am in this store at least twice a week.I love this store. I really should buy stock in this company-I cant go wrong!Love this place.Some of the young cashiers are not customer service friendly.Maybe some culture training would be beneficial. It shouldnt matter the race or age of the customer- everyone should be treated with the same respect.

I absolutely love this harris teeter! There are a few employees that go above and beyond. Just to name the 2 I dealt with today... 1) Margot - works in Starbucks. Best barista and always full of sunshine! 2) Mike - he usually works in the self checkout area. He is unbelievably nice. I adore this man!!

Great staff and customer service. They need to offer more hot bar and salad variety like Publix. HT be more aware of your demographics in the area. HT locations in Raleigh and Cary have much better selections. It should be no different here.

Harris Teeter is amazing. They have literally everything. (Groceries and a pharmacy) Harris Teeter has nice workers who get their job done with no attitude or anything like that. This place is awesome, I dont even know how to explain it. Also, their sushi is delicious.

Look don’t get me wrong it’s a great place, everyone loves harris teeter it’s lovely. but the cheesecake…. really. i know that is not the best y’all can do. not worth 11$ i’m sorry but it’s comparable to walmart and we both know you’re better then that.

Harris Teeter is my favorite grocery store. Most employees are very helpful, especially Immanuel! He is always so friendly and efficient when ringing and bagging my groceries, I try to make it to his line every visit.

Out of all the grocery stores in the area, I continually come back to Harris Teeter as my main point for shopping. They normally have almost everything I need in one go and at fairly competitive prices. The store is usually clean and well stocked (putting aside COVID times of course). The meat selection is sometimes slim but I can usually find something. I wish their bakery had a bigger selection of fresh baked, unsliced breads. I dont think they have ever offered garlic bread that I have seen. Anyways, overall I really like this grocery store. It also has a Starbucks, Redbox, and a dinosaur kids can ride outside for just 1¢.

Food choices are amazing. Clean and well organized.

Ive shopped here for years at other locations. Recently moved to this area and started at the Deli. I had to stand and wait for over 5 minutes for someone in this department to even say hello and ask what I needed. There were several employees just standing around in the deli doing nothing while I was just standing there. Then when I went to check out I went into a lane that was open and a very heavy large man standing in that lane named DANIEL looked at me when I came up and you could tell he didnt want me to come his way. I had a lot of things in my cart and you cold tell he didnt want to unload it. He didnt even say hello when I came up with my cart. He was annoyed and it was written all over his face. It made me as a customer feel very uncomfortable. The only thing he said to me was do you have a Harris Teeter Card for points. I typically just give them my phone number and he didnt want to even enter that because he was so lazy. I had to enter it on the keypad. Someone came to help him bag up groceries and who ever that was said hello to me at least. This DANIEL literally said nothing and was overall super unwelcoming and flat out rude! I spent over $200 and have never received such poor customer service at a Harris Teeter. I wont be back to this location. I will try to the new Publix across the street instead.

Harris Teeter is a nice, upscale store. Lots of products, friendly staff. My only complaint is that it is expensive. Things on sale are decently priced, but everything else is 10 to 50% more than elsewhere.One note, the made to order sandwiches are great and a great deal!

Harris Teeter subs can be ordered online and picked up in the deli. Great deal! Also, if you want really great sushi, go inside and have it made. It is much better than the premade.

DO NOT DO ONLINE ORDERING FOR THE SUBS!!! I made an online order for 4 subs and got a confirmation it would be ready at 6:15pm. I arrived at 6:15 qnd she said my order wasnt ready. I proceeded to wait 50 MINUTES for 4 subs. Never again!

Great customer service. Find out when produce shipments come in for the freshest fruits and veggies. A tad bit more expensive with better quality. I love the fresh jumbo crab cakes!

Nice grocery store with friendly employees. Had to take away a star because if you go on a Sunday, good luck getting your cart through an isle without running into multiple employees restocking product. I would think they would have a better schedule/system for restocking. Sunday is a busy day and having supply carts every three feet throughout the entire grocery store makes it hard to shop.

Months ago I mentioned to the manager that I never found one special item at Harris Teeter and had to go to another store to find it...I am still amazed and so very pleased that only one comment to the manager resulted in my finding that item every single time I go to Harris Teeter at Flowers Crossroads now!!! Who does that??? I actually buy more than I usually do because I am so grateful for this rather astounding customer service - especially these days. Thank you so much. It is so nice to matter. I love my Harris Teeter more than ever.

5 stars for the actual grocery store. Its clean, their employees are friendly and efficient and I can almost always find what I need. Im not sure if the Starbucks attached has much to do with the Harris Teeter, but I have noticed multiple occasions where they just arent friendly and theyre also very slow. They arent necessarily rude but not personable at all.

Jordan is the best cashier! i’ve been shopping at this harris teeter for years and no other cashier has topped her. she’s so friendly and makes great conversation.

This place is amazing. They always have fresh meats and tge customer service is great.

Fresh produce and a great variety of meats. Wonderful bakery options and all other products offer a large mix of brands. Store is very clean and staff members are always friendly and willing to help. The VIC savings, weekly specials and coupon savings also make it a great place to shop. Easy access and plenty of parking.

Usually a really nice grocery store to shop at but today the younh male cashier this eveninh was extremely rude and short with my gf for no reason at all. Snatched the basket from her hands and threw her items to the other side as he was scanning them. Seems a little off. I know everyone has a bad day but wow.

Harris Teeter is my go to grocer. Reasonable prices and fantastic selection far outweigh its competition. The fuel points are just icing on the proverbial cake.

I like Harris Teeter for there subs, breakfasts buffets, and dinner buffets. Not all of them have a good buffet, but the one in Cary N.C. Usually do at Tryon rd. and Kildaire Farms rd. The last time i was there was probably a year ago and everything was great. Maria made the best subs .

Had a very pleasant experience! The employees are very helpful and friendly, and we didnt have a Vic card when we first went through the checkout, so we went up to customer service and the staff took our info and signed us up and explained all the perks of having a Vic card, and then they gave us back the money we saved from our purchase after signing up! My husband and I left very happy customers.

This location is always busy! But typically you can still find weekly sale items readily available on the shelves, even toward the end of the sale week. Employees here are really nice as well.

Normally I have a good experience with this store but one cashier was just overall rude to me and my sister. I politely asked if there was a near by trash can to throw a cup away. I am also 9 months pregnant and didn’t want to walk to far. He began to question me on what i needed to throw away like he didn’t want to help. He also threw my items to the side after scanning them and as i begun to pay he threw my change in my hand causing most of my money falling on the floor. I won’t be going back any time soon

Went in without a cart to buy coffee. Decided to check out Cheerwine prices. Had a BOGO so I wanted 2 cases. A nice fellow named Mike helped by taking the Cheerwine to the checkout counter for me. Best customer service!

Customer service center horrible. Called twice each time put in hold for 32 minutes and Mia never came back. Called back three times because Mia forgot me. Finally, three phone calls and an hour and 18 minutes later I get my answer. Please work on your customer experience in that department, advise them to check back with the customer to reassure them you are still working on their inquiry. Express checkout and order ahead are excellent in their services, even when busy too!

This is a real grocery store. They have everything. I am a vegan and it is difficult to find food in Johnston County. This is not a Lowes-foods/Food-Lion/or Walmart Grocery.... This is the real deal. If you want to go real grocery shopping, go here. Just saying.....

The grocery store is on point but their Starbucks likes to short you on your drinks. They only fill the cup halfway and charge you full price. Either train the baristas or give the customer what they paid for.

Searching for spices for my partner. Patience is key but mapping is important also. I did notice that there were no oatmeal cookies plenty of chocolate chips! Third visit so I will try a different supermarket

AlWays a great place to shop for your indulgence items. Pricier than most stores and sometimes dont carry the everyday common man dinner items, but gheyve got Starbucks, large selection of beer that cannot be found elsewhere, and pre-made pizza that is yummy. Their PHARMACY staff is the best!!!

UMMM WHAT!?!?? I went here and bought some muffins, and I tried one and it was HORRIBLE. Then I saw something stuck behind the label... It was another label, saying that they and expired weeks ago. I went and talked to one of the staff and he was rude and said to talk to the manager and told me not to get him fired. The manager was above and understanding, and genuinely had no clue that this was going on. Besides that, its been great. Im not sure if it was this exact store, but one around the area. Edit: even though the manager assured me it wouldnt happen again, and gave me coupons. A few weeks later, I found another fake label behind the bread. Check your items people!

So theres a Starbucks inside. Its supposed to be open until 8pm. I was looking at the menu board and the young lady behind the counter shut off the lights, closing the place. At 7:25pm. Thanks a lot, Starbucks/Harris Teeter.

They have a wide variety of items other store dont carry. The store is clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful.

Will not be going back. Covid controls sub standard. In our brief visit about a dozen unmasked customers. Management didnt care and does not take measures, without endangering their employees, to mitigate. Have had lackluster response from management before in this store on non covid related issues. There are better options nearby.

Lauren S. from Starbucks is my favorite barista & Najee is my favorite cashier. The employees in the pharmacy are wonderful. Great customer service. Never an issue if something has to be returned. On the downside, they should take the next person in line when a register opens up, not the last. People are waiting longer. One of the personal shoppers, a young girl can be very nasty.

Great store! Love that they have a special needs cart for my son.

For such a big chain to have no garlic gloves is beyond me. Meat department closed an hour before store hours, seafood area was being cleaned but seemed bothered when I asked for some shrimp. I guess there is publix next door just incase.

I have had nothing but problems with this pharmacy I just started going here a couple weeks ago and they didn’t have my medicine in stock so they had to order it and I got it the next day! Come back to get it refilled and they said they don’t carry it and can not order it but they just ordered it last time??? I normally got to the Harris teeter in fuquay and I never have a issue they have my medicine they are all owned by the same chain so I don’t understand why I’m having so many issues with this one pharmacy!! I will not be coming back to this one ever again.

Love my shopping experience at this location. Very large and up to date store, complete with a Starbucks. Yesterday my cashier was a young woman named Katelyn. She was very quick, polite and kind.

ALL of the staff were wearing their masks AND wearing them correctly! I only saw four customers not adhering to the mask rule. It was a refreshing sight. I will bring my business there from now on!

Ive shopped here many times. Probably wont return any time soon. Many maskless customers, including a young fella wandering in the back by the meat with no mask and no shoes. I know this isnt necessarily on Harris teeter, but at the same time... No thanks

The slowest and most disorganised service I have ever had at a Starbucks. I had to wait more than 30 minutes for 5 drinks and still ended up going home with 2 of the 5 wrong coffees.Definitely not going back!
